Casual steps lead the Kageyama into one of the training areas within Kumogakure--propped amongst one of the many mountains. As he reaches the top from the staircase leading there, the male leans forth, panting in obvious exhaust from his treck up there. He's wearing a white hoodie, with Kumogakure's symbol upon the back of it, over a black long sleeve with faded blue jeans, and some black shoes.
As he regains his energy, he slowly starts to amble along to bring himself to the center of the mountainous structure he propped himself up on. His hands slip from his pockets at last as he inhales briefly, trying to get himself into the mood to actually get some training done. As expected, Simon starts off with the thing he's most familiar with---Lightning Release. Part of his goal of becoming a talented user of the affinity was learning whatever he could get access to for it.
With that in mind, Simon starts to apply some of the knowledge of various techniques he had yet to really get a good handle on. He forms the Clone handseal at that point, and in a plume of smoke emerges a shadow clone. It props itself in front of him, allowing him to test out the first technique in mind, Young Lightning.
For the most part, it functioned fairly similar to Thunderclap Drill--but likewise, it wouldn't be as effective as that technique in specific. Following that mindset, the male lifts his arm upright, curling his hand into a fist. He carries out the technique like he would Thunderclap Drill. Lightning chakra starts to channel itself throughout his forearm, wrapping about his arm. Unlike Thunderclap Drill, though, it isn't used to enhance the force of his attacks.
Simon lunges forth promptly, closing the distance between himself and his shadow clone. His arm darts out in one fell swoop, spark-encased fist slamming into it's core. While the punch itself does little damage, the same cannot be said for the lightning technique, which is used to violently shock the clone, knocking it back and causing it to disperse.
With that technique pretty much off of the list amongst the many the Kageyama wanted to get to at the moment, he moves on to Thunderbolt. Following what he could remember about it for the most part, he starts off with the handseals, since it's his first time trying out the technique. The male strings through a total of six handseals, before clapping his hands together, generating a current of whiteish-blue, flickering lightning chakra that wraps around both forearms.
He pries his hands apart, leaving a bolt the only thing connecting what was now two auras of lightning crackling around either hand of his. He draws out power from the focused auras of lightning, proceeding to let loose a flurry of lightning bolts that dance across the ground and air alike. They crackle about within his surroundings, leaving little distance covered.
Finally, each individual aura of lightning chakra has for the most part, faded from view, leaving just a brief glow. Instead of marvelling within his efforts, the Kageyama starts to mobilize. He moves across the ground, picking up the pace. And once he's peaked out, chakra flows to his feet as he leaps, boosting his leap with Suimen. As he ascends into the air, Simon lifts his arm up over his head, forming a claw with his hand, and allowing lightning chakra to crackle to the surface of his palm.
It forms into an lightning-composed arrow of sorts, wrapped in a dense flow of electricity. Upon harnessing it, he rears her arm back, and in one fell swoop, performs a throwing motion. The arrow of lightning is sent shooting down at the ground below, and upon impact, disperses into a field of electricity, ripping across the earth.
By the time the surging lightning has dispersed, he hits the ground again, sweating a little bit. He lowers himself into a sitting position for now, around various, sizzling cracks in the earth, to rest up temporarily.
