A New Beginning Empty A New Beginning

Post by Rin Matoi Fri Apr 27, 2018 6:53 am

After situating herself within the village and becoming familiar with the landscape and details of her duty as an adopted Jounin she requested she be assigned a team merely a week after her arrival. She explained that in order to prove her loyalty and usefulness she would train Konoha's youth. It was nothing too different than what she was already used to. As the Head Mistress of the Academy she run the show with education and training. As a standard service Jounin she would have to get back in the field and work smaller than what she was used to. The decreased work load did not bother her much. As long as there was work and a community to associate herself with she was functional.

After adapting to Konoha's form of dress, and most importantly its climate, Masuyo took on a different load out of gear. Her footwear consisted of standard black sandals fitted for comfort and security. With the toes and heel left exposed they provided additional balance, while the rest of the foot up to the ankle was protected by the thick nylon material of the sandal. The soles of the sandals are reinforced with hardened material to resist heavy impacts and weathering. She wore a pair of loose fitting black pants with the bottoms near her ankles taped securely in white bandage wrap. This provided balance and reinforcement to her ankles while closing off the ends of her pants. In addition, more bandage wrap was wrapped around her right thigh which allowed a navy blue holster to be strapped over comfortably. Around her waist she wears the basic utility belt which carries two green holsters on her right side along with a tool pouch around her back side and a canteen to the far left.

A black mesh shirt is worn under a common long sleeve black top having a red seal of fire placed on the outsides of each sleeve towards the upper arm. Over that was a fitted green flak jacket provided by Konoha's armory. The jacket was zipped up and secure firmly on her body. Worn on both arms were a pair of custom crafted arm guards gifted to Masuyo. The banded steel design covered the backs of her hands to her elbows leaving a soft spot of leather to allow wrist movement. Around her neck Masuyo wears her forehead protector as a collar. The black cloth is tied in a knot around the back side of her neck with the steel plate facing the front for identification. The steel plate has Konoha's emblem engraved on the front. Masuyo has straight black hair which extends down to her mid back. Two strands of hair drop down touching her chest which leads into her bangs, those being cut shorter and swept to the side. She stands at 5'9 weighing approximately 145 lbs. Her fair skin is complimented with her voluptuous form which is completed with a pair of hazel eyes.

She sent mandatory notifications to all of her team members. Kameko excused herself due to settling issues with her clan. As a result Masuyo had to find two additional candidates. Fortunately for her the staff within the Academy were more than welcome to aide her in such matters finding her two students most worthy of her skill set. All three of them were given the same message with the mos basic details: find your way to Training Ground #44 by tomorrow at nine in the morning. You will be assembling with your squad there. There was no tell who to expect.

Masuyo was not an early morning person. She enjoyed getting a full rest and strongly believed starting the day off with breakfast was essential to growth. She wanted to give her students the same chance to prepare for the day ahead. Masuyo would arrive to the location ten minutes before the start time. She was perky and full of energy. Masuyo found herself perched on the center log of the three which stood as training posts. She positioned herself to gaze into the soft flowing river, her back turned to the path which led to the clearing. The Jounin would occasionally swing her legs to pass time. There would not be a whole lot of waiting. She made sure not to show up extra early.

Post by Sera O'Tem Fri Apr 27, 2018 11:19 am

Most of Sera’s dreams seem to start off as something mundane and slowly turned into a Message, something that seemed relevant within her life at this point. This time Sera had dreamed of village like the hidden leaf, but it wasn’t nothing like it, but the sense of familiarity was still there, she felt like she was at home where nothing was the same, Slowly all the people She would meet would start to fade until she was alone within this town without a name, what was once full of Cheerful people and happiness seemed dulled and grey, she was alone and then the building started to crumble all about her, she called out for help but was at a loss of Air, like she was Drowning underwater she tried to yell and get help but nothing would come out and each time she tried she would be able to breathe even less. Suddenly everything started to fall as if she had been on a trap door. When she finally awoke from her dream she was covered in a cold sweat, out of breath and laying on the floor with the Blanket almost tired around her legs like a cocoon

Her mother told her she had a gift, but since she left home it seemed to be a curse, either she had nightmares or she couldn’t Dream at all, or at least she didn’t remember it. And the harder she tried to Grasp at the quickly Fleeting memories the Blurrier and more Faded they became. With a sigh Sera Shifted to free herself from her Blankets and look around her room, it seemed like the sun was up at this point, her dark blue Curtains seemed to cut the light well, but she had most Certainly over slept today, her small Alarm clock That she never seemed to set read seven twenty eight, by the time she got herself up and ready she would leave closer to eight fifteen. By the time she got there she might just be one time. “ What a start to a day like this” she softly said through a Dry and raspy voice before getting to her feet draping the blanket around her she went to go get a drink to hydrate her parched throat.

Sera got herself together and got ready as she normally did, maybe she would run to the spot, or at least briskly walk to save time. That might get her a few minutes before 9 but there was still uncertainty and her groggy brain seemed to jumble all of things she thought about. While munching down a piece of toast and a glass of water Sera went to go get ready. She didn’t have much In the way of combat gear, other then her nodachi.

Sera wore her blood red tank top, with her olive green Sweater, it covered her up but still complimented her figure, it was by far her favourite piece of clothing. She then wore fairly casual looking jeans, nothing too tight, but fit her form. Her forehead protector was tied today over her right bicep, Sera still hadn’t figured out where she wanted to wear the symbol. Maybe she would get some more of a better idea today.

Sera decided to save her energy today and walked at a stead pace towards the meeting location, it was nice that she had finally gotten a squad, she was quite excited about being part of a team, and who might be undertaking her as a student.

2 minutes before 9 Sera made it to the field where they were asked to meet, moving forwards and taking a quick look around. Resting her hand on her Nodachi’s handle and her right hand on the hilt of the blade. As it hung vertical across her back she creates a cross like shape as she looks about.

News of Tsuyo’s return had reached the boy’s ears a couple of days past, yet none at the Hyuga estate would allow him in nor would they tell him about Tsuyo’s condition. It began to frustrate Rin as he was worried and concerned that something might have happened to her while she was away from the village. Though it would be naive to think that no one could take Tsuyo on, Rin can’t picture something or someone inflicted any major damage. Tsuyo was too smart for one thing, and pretty much the only way Rin can think of that would put Tsuyo in such a state is if this thing was stronger than her. Still Rin pays his respects to the Hyuga family as a whole before leaving.

On this current day, Rin doesn’t know whether he should be thrilled or humiliated. Rin was so looking forward to being taught by the head of the Hyuga family since opportunities like that are very hard to come by especially when he’s an Uchiha. Also it would have been Rin’s method of maybe patching up that old hatred between the two major clans, but now it appears to not happen. When Rin got word that he was to be assigned to someone else that Rin doesn’t recognize the boy figured that something did happen. But of what nobody would say.

Even so Rin doesn’t complain as he was already at the designated training grounds two hours prior to the meeting. The boy would be placed high up on one of the mighty trees that looms over the field. Sitting on a tall branch as he keeps his balance relatively straight enough. Of course this is the same kid who has walked from the bottom of this tree to the top a few times before running on the tree instead of walking. All while maintaining steady flow of chakra that kept him from falling off the tree.

The rest of the time of waiting was just sitting on this branch with his legs crossed as chakra around his thighs and rear helped with the balance. Of course there was also some consumption of food and water. Though it isn’t exactly a morning breakfast since he eats a biscuit with some strips of jerky. It was something to put into his system without getting too full. Rin kept his free hand on the main part of the tree as he keeps a wary mind for anyone or anything that approaches.

For those who doesn’t know Rin, he is a boy nearly a young teen himself. The boy stands approximately 5 foot 3 inches tall and currently weighs 129 lb. His form is at the beginning stages of what one might guess is a lithe body structure. One that is not bulky with muscle, but rather honed into a different method. His fair skin appears to hold some tan lines along the collarbone. Rin’s warm black hair extends to barely brush his shoulders, but for this occasion Rin has tied that hair into a low tail. Granted even with that attempt his bangs still frame the sides of his face.

On Rin’s eyes are the usual blue-green hazel. The green rings around pupil before spreading out into what can be described as turquoise and then light blue around the outer part of the iris. Garbed on his person is the mesh shirt under a dark green top with no sleeves. Rin’s headband can be seen tied around his forehead with the metal plate facing forward which contains Konoha’s symbol. From the back of his hands to just before the elbow is a pair of steel arm guards. Plain market quality that anyone can get from the stores. Around his waist is a leather belt that contains two holsters at the back where two wakizashi are held in scabbards.

His hip pouch is taken off from his belt since it really only contained his food supplies and water. Balanced on the branch is a katana that is also sheathed into the scabbard. Each weapon appears to be plain with black threads around the hilt with some brass at the pommel and the tsuba. The scabbards are polished wood painted black with no other designs. Which suited Rin just fine since he just needs the weapons to work and place to hold them effectively. On his legs is a pair of dark grey slacks that is tucked under a pair of hard leather shin guards. Finally on his feet is a pair of brown sandals.

Then about ten minutes before the designated meeting time Rin picks up a presence that entered the large radius. The genin turned his attention over in that direction to see a figure garbed light from the looks of it. Rin can only see that the figure had dark hair and was fairly tall he estimates. Still it isn’t exactly time to show up, so Rin will remain perched at his branch while keeping an eye on the newcomer. Or it could be his new instructor, or it could be somebody else entirely that just happens to train in the morning as they do. So rather than acting on baseless assumption, Rin decides to observe for the time being.

Post by Taichi Kotōshura Sat Apr 28, 2018 6:55 pm

It would really take some time for Taichi to grow into being a ninja of the Hidden Leaf, the environment was so different to what he's used to, currently he's living in an apartment complex sort of place with his grandpa, it wasn't bad so to speak but it wasn't as spacious or luxurious compared to their old home back in Iwagakure. Taichi spent a few times going outside to get used to the village but got lost a few times, and just walked around in circles or in random blocks until he went back to a familiar route, and returned home that way. He always got yelled at for getting lost in the village by his grandpa, but Taichi always made it home safe nonetheless.

It's currently morning with Taichi, about 7:30 AM in the morning and Taichi is usually one to sleep in, but a good whack to the head from his grandpa woke him up, with him slightly jumping up until he saw his grandpa. "Wha... grandpa? why are you waking me up at this hour?" he asked, with his grandpa handing out a note to him. "It's for you." Taichi already had a wild guess to what it would contain. "Training with sensei, I'm guessing." he folded his legs on the bed and started to rip open the enclosed letter, and saw the message to go to the training grounds at around 9 AM today. "Today?! that's short notice..." his grandpa actually stepped up about that and said "Well... I was kind of busy yesterday that I forget to hand it to you, sorry."

He wanted to target his grandpa for that, but he knew he also had his troubles of settling into a foreign village. "It's fine, I'm guessing that my outfit as a Iwagakure ninja isn't usable anymore though?" his grandpa nodded in agreement. "Aye, I already went ahead and bought a new outfit for you actually!" Oh boy, he could only imagine what it'd look like if his grandpa bought it. Weirdly enough, it was a green jumpsuit with orange leg warmers and the leaf's forehead protector around the waist. "I'm not wearing that." Taichi straight up said, but his grandpa insisted. "It'll look good! plus, I took in the fact that you're more of a physical fighter at the moment, so it's perfect for you." he let out a sigh, he didn't want to make his grandpa feel bad by rejecting the outfit, so he decided to wear it for the training today at least, but not as a permanent outfit.

It didn't take long for time to fly as Taichi had breakfast, took some time to wake up as it neared towards 9 AM. He reluctantly put on the outfit that his grandpa bought him and didn't waste any time running off to the training grounds, only to have some trouble getting there. He had to ask a few civilians for directions along the way but he eventually made it. If his perception of time isn't off, he'd guessed that he just got there right on the clock at the entrance.

Masuyo pivoted herself, still remaining seated on the log, to the opposite end where her students began coming in. The was the little boy who distanced himself from her. He chose to remain up in the canopy level of the treeline surrounding the training area. There was not a whole lot to his disguise aside from not being at ground level. Masuyo acknowledged his location, though did not do much about it. She insisted on staying seated until the others arrived where she would put on her game face. At first impression, she considered Rin to be a weirdo. The other two almost came in pairs. Although punctuality wasn't exactly her style, there was a difference between figuratively showing up a minute before a meeting and literally. Such tight margins could prove to be unreliable in the field, something Masuyo had to acknowledge for those two. Masuyo knew enough about Taichi to knew he was a lemon. As for the others, it might as well be day one.

As the final two arrived the Jounin grinned before sliding off her log. "Okay! Time to get this show on the road!" She would extend her right aim with an index finger at the end targeting Rin from the rest of his teammates. Rin, who was still perched on the tree branch. "That means you too, Rin." Masuyo would wait for the other Genin to approach the others. As he did, she would continue with what she had planned. "For most of us, this is our first time meeting. For the first half of this session we will exchange introductions. It shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes or so. After that, we will begin our first lesson: survival training. I hope you all came prepared. I won't do a total extensive survival training session. Those typically take a couple days. No, we will perform until noon. After that we will wrap up and you all will be on your way."

Extending her arms back behind her she felt for the stump she sat on only to resume her seating plopping her rear on the top part of the log. "So first, let's do introductions. We're going to use a format, simply because I feel people tend to work easier with a guide to go by rather than freeballing themselves. I expect to hear each of you present: your full name, age, birthday, things you like, things you dislike, hobbies, goals, your favorite food, and your favorite color. This will help all of us get a gist on who you are as well as taking care of the ice breaker. So, as your Jounin, I will start. My name is Masuyo Kaede, your designated sensei. I'm twenty-two years old, born May 17th. I like social gatherings and watching my students succeed. I dislike cold food. My hobbies include hiking, camping, Karaoke, going to the beach, and going to the spa. My personal goal is to develop the perfect Taijutsu. My favorite foods are Sukiyaki or Chankonabe and my favorite color is black." She said this with satisfaction, and slight hunger after mentioning Sukiyaki.

She quickly tried to suppress the thoughts of food by gesturing her hand towards the youngest of the three. "Rin, is it? It's your turn. Then Sera and finally, Taichi." Extending her arms back she reclined on the stump with a positive visage. She lightly swung her legs back and forth waiting to hear what interesting facts the others had to share about themselves. It was only formal to know your opponent. It was surprisingly to her in a few minutes she could potentially be pummeling them into the dirt. But as long as it was in good sport, she felt no negativity to it.

A New Beginning Empty Re: A New Beginning

Post by Tatsuya Mon Apr 30, 2018 1:22 am

Was it a strange twist of fate or is this village lacking jounin willing to teach a team? Rin removed his hand off the tree he was perched on, yet he didn’t bother to hide his presence. Even if he did, Rin figured a jounin of any caliber would be able to single him out. Yet he did not approach the strange person despite the possibility that this person could be his new sensei. Rin likes to be certain and not just bluntly assume something that could be false.

Off from the corner of his hazel blue-green eyes another figure emerged from the main path into the training grounds. At first Rin didn’t recognize the approaching newcomer, but after doing a small suppression of his chakra to take advantage of his gift. Rin recognize the person to be Sera O’Tem, a friendly face in Rin’s view. In truth the boy was glad that a familiar set of eyes would be with this team. Part of it was anxiety as Rin was hesitant to even approach, and if he was surrounded by unknown people Rin felt like he wouldn’t be able to contribute much to the team.

About a minute later another person entered the scene, and this time Rin does not recognize the male. It appears that everyone arrived a minute shy from the deadline, and Rin suddenly felt like maybe he should’ve slept in. Of course the boy is used to waking up early morning before dawn to train for a good hour or two. Keeps his mind and body sharp since Tsuyo was gone longer than anticipated on her mission. Still the waiting was not exactly exciting, but then again Rin was being safe than sorry.

The dark haired woman whose identity remained a mystery to Rin other than she is most likely his new teacher. She slides off the log that she was sitting on and acknowledged the two individuals. Then the jounin aimed her index finger at Rin’s direction, and since he also heard what was being said since she wasn’t being quiet Rin was a bit surprised she said his name. Not many really care two ryo to remember his name with a rare few as the exception. Most just hear the name Uchiha at the end and Rin becomes stuck in their shadow. Select few that remember his name usually treat him like the black sheep of the Uchiha family. At least among the clan members of course.

Clan’s dispute aside, Rin grabs his bag and the katana before walking his way down the tree. Feet on ground level, the young genin walks up to the other three and once again Rin is faced with the daily problem. Rin is younger than any of these people, so if this was any other team it probably wouldn’t be well in Rin’s favor. Mostly because hardly anybody thinks much of a twelve year old nor consider their suggestions and thus could have others lead to ignorance or arrogance. It is a subtle encounter that most don’t look into, but it was one that Rin was used to by now.

Seeing Sera the young genin would present a soft smile before waving a hand that held his hip pouch as he approached. Then he’ll listen to the woman later introduced as Masuyo spoke of an introduction. Masuyo appeared to be almost identical to Tsuyo which confused Rin at first. Of course due to listening Rin pays attention to his sensei’s hazel eyes. They held an interesting color of hazel since his is the standard blue-green. Masuyo’s holds near golden like honey mixed with a bit of green.

Then at the end of Masuyo’s introduction that included birth date, likes, dislikes, hobbies, personal goal, favorite food and color. In order, Masuyo spoke of Rin’s name though it was more of a question which the boy nods his head to ensure her to be correct. Then it’ll be Sera’s turn, and the one named Taichi was last it seems. Was this punishment for acting like a hermit and not approaching sooner? Rin wanted to hear the others’ first, but it seems he’s going first. His eyes shift from one side to the other before finding his face to be warm.

“I’m… My name is Rin Uchiha. I’m only twelve years old and my birth date is December 26th. I like music if that counts and i adore animals. Especially cats including the fluffy lynx.” Rin was getting fascinated with the idea of seeing a lynx before he cleared his throat and regained his composure. “To be honest aside from the conflicting morales there isn’t a lot that i dislike. I can say for a fact that i do hate ignorance though. Drives me insane sometimes in the shop. Oh, and yes i do work as an apprentice at one of the local smith’s in the village.” The boy actually had to think about what his hobbies really would be. Here lately it has been train, go to shop, possibly train again until sunset, and repeat.

“My hobbies is training daily, playing my flute, and reading novels of various genres. As for my personal goal, it is to hopefully surpass Tsuyo Hyuga. Though i guess that is a goal that i will never achieve, but i’ll still try regardless. Personal favorite drink is the Gingerbread Spice tea, but those are hard to come by especially when it is not winter. Favorite food is won by lemon cakes in my opinion. Finally, my favorite color is red. Pleased to meet you all.” Rin introduced himself before finishing with a formal bow to all of them. During the bow Rin placed his pouch next to his left foot since he might need it or might not. Depends on what this survival drill contain, and even then his pouch only contains basic food supplies.

A New Beginning Empty Re: A New Beginning

Post by Sera O'Tem Mon Apr 30, 2018 12:26 pm

Sera Moved into the area still walking with her arms stretched out over her weapon she had moved down the small incline until she was no more then 50 paces away from who she had just assumed she was to meet, the woman seated on the large logs. She wore a black long-sleeved shirt that Sera found to be quite nice and wondered briefly where she might have gotten it. her focus solely on the woman there, Sera’s lack of Attentiveness made her completely miss Rin in the trees above. Oh how easy it would be for almost anyone to get the drop on her was almost embarrassing.

The other student who was only slightly behind her wore a hideous looking outfit, and she kind of hoped he wasn’t going to the same area she was, mostly so she didn’t have to try to interact with someone who would willing wear green and orange together in a jumpsuit. But never the less he seemed to follow her all the way there and her suspicion was confirmed further as the woman sprung off the log and started to talk. Which of course made Sera look around for a second to try to find the third. It wasn’t until the woman pointed Rin out did she see him. Was he to be the third? This seemed like fate or at least something along the lines of it having met him no more then a few days prior.

The lady in front of Sera took command of the show, she was firm in her words and quickly laid out the way things where to be today. Sera liked the way she went about instruction already, it was quickly and to the point and before she knew it she had already began telling details of herself.

She then casted a finger out at Rin and had him speaking about himself. Masuyo sure was good at this whole team thing, it made sera wonder if she had a team before them or if this was her first time, either way it was already something that Sera was happy with.

Rin spoke about himself, a bit hesitant at first, perhaps it was because he knew her already or maybe he was intimidated by her, ( god knows Sera was). Rin spoke about his likes and dislikes, Cats seemed to be the thing he liked the most or at least what came to mind first. Sera made sure to listen to the favourite drinks and food of each person as she already had the idea to bring food to training session, to help bring the team together and she also enjoyed cooking and feeding people. So far there wasn’t anything overly complicated listed. Rin had also Mentioned playing the flute, which struck Sera as odd, it didn’t seem like his sort of thing after having seen him at the training grounds he seemed more into training and working to have a hobby that demanded such time to get even half good.

Sera’s Green eyes widen slightly as she realized that it was going to be her turn in only a few short seconds. She dropped her arms down letting the sheath so it rested at her tail bone. She then crossed her hands over her stomach under her bust as she thought for a moment. As Rin bowed towards them Sera nodded slightly as to acknowledge the bow. Before she pushd down on her own ribs and then arched her shoulder up letting her back crack.

“ Hello” Sera gave a slight wave from her hand before replacing her arm on her stomach. “ I am Sera, O’tem, im nineteen, and was born on May tenth.” She smiled slightly, feeling a little more confident as she looking back towards the others. Making sure she was positioned so that she wasn’t only talking to her new Sensei. “ I enjoy going out, fresh air, and the feeling of grass on my feet. . . I cant say I have to many dislikes that come to mind other then maybe being ignored, and well the feeling of Drowning, I cant say I much enjoy that. But then who really does am I right?” She says her smile turning more to a smirk as she Presented the hypothetical. Her smirk faded quickly as she realized she was stalling and didn’t want to be called out on it she then quickly says “ Well moving onto hobbies. I am a very much a Creature of habit and enjoy training, meditating, and going for walks, aside from this I don’t have to much I do on a daily basis id call an hobby. My goals are to one day open up my own Dojo and maybe survive until I want to settle down with a family. My Favorite food its most likely Gyoza. But I’m more of a Beverage person, I like my Teas, my Coffees and occasionally a acholic drink. I don’t have a favorite color per say but I’m not digging those ones” she says motioning to her new Team mate in the Green and Orange jumpsuit. "Its not that I don’t respect your abilities but I also wouldn’t want to be seen in public with you, you now what I mean?” she says flashing a Quick playful smile before motioning towards Taichi as if to say ~ your turn~

A New Beginning Empty Re: A New Beginning

Post by Taichi Kotōshura Thu May 03, 2018 11:04 pm

Taichi walked through the entrance and towards his sensei when she jumped off the log, looking at the other two genin with a questionable look, one looked extremely young and from what he gathered, is the one named Rin and the other one is quite older, which he hasn't caught the name of yet. He also seemed to get a weird few looks along the way for the green jumpsuit he's wearing. He strayed away from that thought however when he started to hear Masuyo introduce herself to the squad... he couldn't remember if she had honestly introduced herself like this before... then again, every chance her old squad back in Iwagakure got to meet together and train had been cancelled for one reason or another, so there wasn't much chance of him learning about her honestly.

After her introduction as a base to show the other three genin as to how they'd do it, Rin seemed to pick up on it well enough and listened to his introduction, surprised to hear that the little guy's a Uchiha. Taichi's heard a fair bit about certain clans but the Uchiha are definitely something that's popped up in some stories he's heard. He's curious to see if the kid has any solid ability being apart of such a clan.

Next came the black-haired woman, the other black-haired woman that isn't Masuyo, introducing herself to be Sera O'Tem, he'll definitely remember that name. He somewhat lost attention to her introduction as this is noticeable when he slightly drifted off until her slight remark at his outfit he's wearing. "Hey! I didn't exac-" he stopped there as he realized, is it worse to take the insult, or to take the embarrassment that his grandpa had picked out the outfit for him? he decided to go with the first and took the insult. "I'll... get a better one later on, thanks for the consideration." after that however, he realised it's his turn.

"Oh right. Taichi Kotōshura, seventeen years old, born on April 10th, I honestly like sleeping if that's allowed... I might like it too much." taking in the fact he's had a habit of oversleeping on important days. "I like colourful things, or eye-catching things like explosives." which is relating back to his clan's special ability, Explosion Release. "I dislike being disrespected, or not taken seriously." he motioned towards Sera as he said that, but also a slight implication could be suggested towards Masuyo as well on that note. "My hobbies... hmm, well I'd have to say exploration or just walking, and especially considering that I just moved here that hobby has kicked up quite a bit the past few days... my goals? become an awesome ninja, retire at one point and perhaps get a wife, not too ugly but not too good looking and start a family." he then had to think about his favourite food. "Hmm... I honestly don't have a favourite food, as long as it tastes good I don't care what it is honestly... and my favourite colour is yellow." phew, that was done. He wondered if he went a bit too far with the goals one, but he'd have to see the reaction of his new squad mates on that one.

Masuyo gauged each of their responses on perhaps a deeper level of analysis than their peers did. The topic did serve as an ice breaker, but to Masuyo it has an auxiliary purpose. First up was Rin. Twelve and a Genin, and he certainly wears his age poorly. Masuyo thought judgmentally as she grinned a cheerful smile while he spoke and stuttered. As he finished her eyes shifted to Sera, the female Genin of the trio. She went through the same screening process and, although more impressed, she was not taken away by a long shot. Very basic interests. As she wrapped up her introduction, Masuyo couldn't help but appraise Taichi's outfit choice on a deeper level. It forcibly made the Jounin giggle, such tastes being outlandish. Though to her surprise Taichi was quite tame with the criticism. She expected a type of snark remark in return or resentment. It was typical for Taichi to act like a lemon, at least around her. Perhaps his peers caused him to behave more-so than usual.

As Taichi finished up his introduction, being on relative terms with Sera's, Masuyo smirked with her eyes closed giving off some form of satisfaction. "Well, it appears you all need to work on your character. Rin: you're not twelve. You're a Genin of Konoha. Don't act so timid and childish. You limit your potential by acting your age. You are a Shinobi and not a child. There have been Jounin your age. Professional, elite Shinobi. You are capable of acting more than your age. And you, Sera." Masuyo said while shifting her head to the girl with the black hair giving a half-lidded gaze remaining a rather dreamy visage. "You're nineteen and have unoriginal interests. Do you prefer long walks on the beach, too? Develop interests and socialize to bring out your inner self. Experiment! The same goes for you, Taichi. And for God's sake don't ever wear that outfit around me again." She said keeping a jocular atmosphere not attempting to come off as scolding her Genin.

At last, she would push herself off the log again. On both feet she would twist her waist to one side and the other while keeping her head faced towards her Genin. A satisfying crackle could be heard as she jerked her body limbering up for the second portion of the training. "I say this not to bully you. All of you need to assert yourself into society. Building character builds confidence, and confidence helps you grow mentally. Become somebody rather than that quiet kid, the basic girl, or the boy who sleeps his life away." As she finished limbering up she postured herself with both hands on her hips speaking to the crowd before her. "Only then can you develop relationships and become somebody memorable. Anyways, that's enough of that. It's onto our activity for the day."

Masuyo reached into her right hip pouch, her mildly callous fingers and palm not bothered by digging past the several kunai knives she had stored. There, she felt a small silver sphere as she retrieved it by its thread. The sound of a jingle followed as she held out the bell to her side allowing the three to observe. "I will be testing your teamwork abilities. It's not always you get to be teamed with your familiar allies. You must learn to adapt and be flexibly to whoever you team with. Now would be a perfect opportunity to test that. You objective is to take this bell from me. Whoever has the bell gets to decide lunch. On me. You should expect me to retaliate with your efforts. After all you should expect your target to defend themselves."

Tugging the bell she clenched her hand catching it in her grasp. Bringing that hand to her side she fastened it to her utility belt next to her rear shuriken holster. "Before we start there are a few rules. The first one is: I will match your aggression. My method will start out very non-aggressive. If you think you're a spunky Genin who can spit basic Ninjutsu, I will use Ninjutsu of that rank. If you want to use blades I will use my blades. The second rule: I will always play on defense. That being said, if I see an opportunity to flee, I will. I must see effort to play your game. If y'all stand around with your mouths open I will escape. And trust me, you won't be able to catch me. That will only prolong your mission. And lastly: take your time to plan your move and pay attention to your environment. You have roughly three hours to complete this task."

Masuyo rose her hand to her mid-chest forming a half tiger. Excelling her movements with chakra, she would say one final word to her Genin before a small cloud of smoke would take over her appearance. "Begin!" As the smoke fizzled, the Jounin was gone. It was a simple trick paired with the Body Flicker technique. The smoke covered the user's body and acted as a distraction of sorts. In the end her movements would be shrouded no matter how great the Genin's perception was. There was immediate trace left before. Masuyo herself cleared the clearing heading North into the forest following along side the river upstream remaining within the vegetation. In just a few seconds she covered half a kilometer, a distance she felt was a great starting point. Making a feel for her bell she ensured it was still secure on her body and her high speeds did not loosen the knot. Masuyo was well away from the starting position. Leaping up towards the canopy layer of the tree she squatted on a branch facing the direction she ran from. There was plenty of greenery around, below, and above her to conceal her presence. She would remain vigilant of her surrounds until her Genin moved out.

Rin listened to what the others had to say about themselves. Sera and their sensei seems to be a bit uncomfortable with Taichi’s attire. Rin however doesn't see anything wrong with it as he tilts his head and those hazel orbs dance from Sera, Masuyo, to Taichi. “I don't see any problems with it unless there’s some hidden factor on functionality.” The boy spoke in more of defense towards Taichi’s appearance in a indirect manner.

The sounds of leaves rustling with the wind reminds young Rin of home. The significance of home brings up a memory when he played his flute. His eyes closed as he played each key as if the boy was playing it for the forest. Memory proves to be a soothing part to the mind as the anxiety loses its icy claws around his body. In turn his fingers subconsciously tap along the scabbard of his scabbard as if it was a flute.

His eyes snap back to focus when Rin hears his name. The boy is certain that Masuyo means well, but Rin is not certain anyone would listen to him. Years of being told that he shouldn't argue what people older than himself will do that to one’s consciousness. Masuyo mentioned that she will step it up according to how they behave, but the only thing Rin knows combat wise is taijutsu and kenjutsu. He barely knows some ninjutsu, so Rin doubts he’ll be much use other than maybe sensing their teacher out.

With a poof Masuyo was gone from sight, and just for the sake of it Rin crouched down to touch the soil. Where he’ll actively search out for her chakra presence within a 50 meters radius. The boy frowns when a few seconds passed and he drops the sensory field. “Either our sensei is also a sensory shinobi or she’s well out of 50 meters by now. This training ground is large so there will be a lot of ground to cover. Any ideas of where we should start searching?” Rin informs the other two of his poor results, but then counters it by asking for their input on what action they should take. If they were going to be a team from now on they each should give their input. It’ll help with communication and possibly start forming the bonds of trust.

    Stamina: 39/40

    Tech used:
Sensing Technique - Detects chakra signatures within 25 meters radius. Double the range if touching the object/ground. .5 stamina per post.

Chakra Suppression - Cannot be detected by sensory shinobi. Limited to C rank taijutsu/kenjutsu. No cost.

The Sera nodded as her new Sensei scolded her on being very basic. It stung a bit but the pain faded slightly and was replaced with a slight smirk as Masuyo had agreed with her opinion about the outfit her new comrade had worn.  The smirk quickly faded as tried to take what was said seriously, her sensei was not wrong she was very basic, boring even, she needed to find new interests.  Maybe she would invest some time in the community she had left her own clan for, instead of slinking around and doing nothing all the time.

Shorty after the slight scolding and life lessons her new teacher gave them she explained the rules and started off disappearing so quickly Sera didn’t even get to see which direction she had ran.
Seeing Rin almost at a loss of what to do Sera decided to take up a leader-like role unless someone else would have came to the position. “ So  the way I see it we can go all out and expect to get hurt. I don’t know anything about our Sensei’s capacities.   In fact I know almost nothing of your capabilities” she says motioning towards Taichi mostly but a little towards Rin.    “ Rin you said you’re a Sensory ninja?  It might be best if we stick together, if she’s even half decent at hiding then id never see her no matter how long we look.   And if we did how would we catch someone of that speed.  But I might be able to cut her off  by creating walls in her way, but id have to be fairly close to her.” Sera seems to stumble into each thing she says  still trying to gauge and figure out a plan.  But not having already came up with anything in particular but more so pieces each thing together slowly.

“ If we want to do this as painless as possible then ill leave my weapon here as it will only slow me down and get me caught on things.  Also I wouldn’t want to draw a blade on her and her do so to all of you without you first saying that’s what we want to do” *she says untying the strap of her blade from her shoulder and holding it out before placing it down “ If we want to engage with weapons im all for it, but only if we all agree,  that’s if we could even find her.” She says looking back to the forest in the direction she figured was be the best path to go through. “  or we can spread out and possibly overlook her.  Either way,  and im not just picking on you now, but you need to lose your orange sweat bands” she says pointing out at Taichi’s orange clothing ‘  it sticks out in the forest badly and if we could get a drop on her she would surly see those.  Do you have anything to add to this?” she asks to Taichi looking directly at him.

It seems not only his new teammate took a shot at the outfit he's wearing, but Masuyo as well. "Assholes..." he lightly muttered, so neither Masuyo or the new female teammate would hear him, or so he thought. Despite Masuyo's claims to not bully them, he took her words pretty closely, but not the part about trying to grow a personality. "And be an uptight bitch like you? I'm good." Taichi thought, he definitely didn't have the courage to say that out loud, he's definitely had his fair share of punishment from Masuyo for letting out such remarks. He didn't plan to be knocked out before even the damn training itself began.

When Masuyo had suddenly poofed off, he saw a very slight blur appear out of the smoke but he couldn't follow it closely enough to predict where it was going, he could tell that she was going really fast though. When he saw Rin scan nearby with his sensory ability, he was about to tell him Masuyo would've been far out of the range but it was too late. He already took a bit of a liking to the kid since y'know, he's the only one to not take a shot at him about the outfit. When the new woman teammate had inquired about Taichi's abilities, it was fair game, but he also replied to her weapons idea. "If that's what you want to do, but I'd honestly just sheathe it, bring it out if you have to." they would notice the hip pouch Taichi has, which is full of his ninja tools which have kunai and the bunch, but if this team's coordination between them works well then he might not need to use any tools at all.

"I use Earth Release, and I'm a Taijutsu user so I don't wield any weapons, I just use my body as a weapon." while trying to get the jump on Masuyo is a good idea from what the woman suggested, he just doesn't see it happening. "I don't think my orange leg warmers matter, we have too much ground to cover and even if we do get near the area that she's hiding in she's going to notice us regardless what trick we put up our sleeve... unless..." he thought back to what she said about his leg warmers being distracting. "How about a live bait of sorts? she'll be hiding, but if one of us acts as bait, the other two can remain quietly behind the trees, bushes whatever and follow the bait quietly, and the instant Masuyo comes in, the other two come in and we get her then." he looked to the other two for their opinion. but then believed he might act as the bait, as much as Masuyo might enjoy beating the shit out of Taichi, but if anyone can get on her nerves to break out of hiding, it's Taichi for sure. "I volunteer to be the bait, unless you two want to be brave about it?" he's improved quite a bit over the past few months, so he's willingly taking this bait to see if he can handle close-quarters combat with a Jounin, and it's a plus that it's Masuyo.

Given her quickened escape she stayed on guard for a brief minute, remaining vigilant on her surroundings. After the time pass, she scoffed. "As expected. It appears they lack adequate tracking skills. No matter." Masuyo would recline on the branch she was perched on, her upper back and head against the trunk of the tree itself as her lower body stretch along the branch. She was awfully amazed at the size of the trees in Konoha. Although the Land of Earth had their fair share of vegetation they did not compare to the massive Senju wood trees that made up the Land of Fire. Masuyo could rather comfortably lounge on the naturally occurring tree branch like a wooden bench. Nonetheless, she knew it would be some time before the Genin found her location. Maybe I went too far with the distance traveled. Oh well. She would pass time by doing one of her favorite things. Reaching into her hip pouch she revealed a "sharing size" bag of Umeboshi flavored potato chips. She'd pull the bag open being greeted by a burst of salty, sour carby goodness.

The Jounin would carelessly munch on the bag of chips in her rather relaxed state. She did not expect any of her Genin to get the drop on her. She would be awfully impressed if any of them had the skill to stealthily approach her and seize the bell from her inventory. Grabbing a small stack of potato chips she'd chew. She made it an effort to not consume too carelessly to deafen her own sense of hearing. Masuyo would carelessly gaze up through the treeline into the blue skies relying on her other senses to detect the Genin. After all, despite being superior to them in her own skill set, she had to at least play along with the "mission" they were set up with.

Rin listened to both of his teammates’ input on the situation, and though he listens the young Rin walks over to the spot where Masuyo was standing before she disappeared. Luckily with him suppressing his chakra to avoid detection also stimulates his senses to the point where he perceives the environment in a clear image. Rin’s hazel eyes gaze at the area and notes some of the disturbed dirt and grass. Of course with this being the training grounds there are obvious signs of travel and struggle on the land itself. However there is a difference in terms of recent disturbance for there are the usual signs of movement on the ground than the recently churned earth. For example Rin can see the faint outlines of what appears to be vague shoe print on the grass. Kneeling down, the boy notes how the amount of wear practically packed the soil, and yet there is a difference as a tiny mound of dirt shifted on one side and a skidmark next to it.

“I don’t know of our sensei’s capabilities, but least to say no one becomes jounin based on luck alone. If this is going to be securing some bells then most chances is that she’s not going to come to us for no reason. On a normal scale i can sense everyone within twenty five meters, and i could double the range in exchange i must touch the ground or an object connected to it with my hand.” Rin pauses as Sera seems rather uncomfortable with the orange sleeves. Granted Rin can see how it’ll stand out in the forest terrain, but in Rin’s mind it is better that way. “If he’s going to be bait then we want him to be noticed before us. So having the sleeves won’t hurt us if we’re striving for that goal. As for weapons, i am good with sword and my body as a weapon. However if we slack off or hold back against a jounin then we’ll definitely lose the objective.”

The boy stands up to his feet and brushes himself as those blue-green eyes danced around the forest edges. “If we can hinder her mobility that would be good. No matter how strong she is if we can just get Masuyo to slip up even for a moment we can swipe those bells. But we can only do that if all three of us work together effectively.” Of course from the sounds of it Rin figures he shouldn’t carry his katana this time, and since he’s going for speed while the others focus on power and bait. Regardless Rin points in a direction which is up in the north. “I believe that based from the skidmarks our mark went that way. Come with me or not i’m going to at least scan the river, but i prefer if we stick together nonetheless.”

With that being said Rin walked a dozen meters towards the body of water at the north, and then the boy proceeds to walk on the swift current for another five meters away from shore. Nearly crouching Rin places his hand on the water surface and begins scanning for chakra bodies within fifty meters. The boy will note of fish within the river and how they weave with the strong current. Outside of the river there are quite a few dozen animals ranging from squirrels, raccoons, some field mice, snakes, spiders, etc. None however actually scream Masuyo at any rate.

The boy frowned as the results were poor once again, and there’s two ways this river travels. One way is towards the village, and the other leads deeper into the training grounds and beyond. Rin doesn’t think that their sensei would hide inside the village, so he instead proceeds at the other direction. Traveling deeper as he walks on the water and is keeping his sensory scope at twenty-five meters active. If the other two took heed of his words about his sensing range then they would probably stay at least within that range. Plus they could search along the shore, and thus they could coordinate together in their search. Of course Rin will inform both of them of his lack of finding their sensei once again, but then suggests traveling deeper into the training grounds.

In total distance down the river Rin will have traveled forty-eight meters since that’s how much he’ll travel within six seconds. After all they have less than three hours to find Masuyo and obtain those bells. So haste is kind of a necessity for Rin, but he does attempt to remain alert to his surroundings.

Sera Glanced to her two teammate, thought she tried to remain calm a slight look of panic resided within her eyes, she was at a lose of what to do, she was by no means a tracker, and it seemed that  were she would shine  was dulled down by the capabilities of her teammates,   Rin with his astonishing blade skills and then Taichi with the use of Earth Release.  There was not really position she had that made her unique.

Quickly dismissing the thought, she circled over to the area their Sensei had vanished from and looked back towards Taichi 'baiting her out seems like our best chance, I don’t see a way we would find her if Rin is right about her being a sensory ninja as well. And she did say that if we used something she would also use that something to meet with the efforts we make.”

Sera now standing in the area where their sensei disappeared from “it looked like she used the body flicker technique.  At least that’s one of the only ones I know that would use a half tiger hand seal and allow her to disappear.   But id also be willing to bet she is closer then we think, after all this is a team exercise and she would want to see us working as a team.   did anyone see her throw in any other hand signs  I didn’t quite get a good look, if she used anything other than the half tiger she could be anywhere but the body flicker technique only allows the user to run in a straight line. And” she motions to the clearest was she can find” That looks like the most open and less obstructed path”

After Rin had mentioned that he felt she went a specific way, she would nod and follow assuming they were in a similar direction. Moving towards Rin as he moved away from the area, Sera tied her Noadachi back to her back, she looked around for clues of where there might have been Tracks, but it all looked like it had been disturbed to her.  She would easily be following her own footprints if left long enough alone.

At this pace it seemed like they would never find their instructor but sera did her best to remain positive about the situation “ I guess we will look as a group until a Situation arises that calls for other means.  Rin how long can you scan an Area for without straining?  If we exhaust are selves before finding her we will never out match her pace even 3 on one

Taichi was by no means a sensory person or ninja that specialises in tracking others but oddly enough, when he looked upon the spot that Masuyo disappeared from he could tell there were a few tracks very fresh similar to other prints on the grass that seemed older, you could tell the difference, at least Taichi could. When he saw how fast his sensei was going before from the mere blur, he could theorise already that she used the body flicker to move fast. It seems Sera picked up on this as well. "You noticed it too, huh?" he said, sounding like a compliment if anything. "So if I remember right... body flicker only goes one direction... and considering those tracks on the grass I'm noticing... I'm betting she might've gone North." taking a few pauses as he looked around the grass, seeing the other prints that were made a long while ago, making sure that Masuyo wasn't misleading them somehow if they ended up figuring it out.

It looks like Rin beat the two of them theorising already and made his way North, towards the river. Along with Sera, he started to catch up to Rin. Taichi wanted to test his individual capability against a Jounin like Masuyo, but it would be wise to stick with the group for now to find where Masuyo's hiding out.

He followed along with the boy, especially close to his sensory range in the case that Masuyo just jumped them at any minute, Taichi honestly wouldn't put it past Masuyo to do that... then again, he also wouldn't put it past her to just sit back and be lazy about it. She's a loose cannon to him and she's unpredictable in what she would really do next.

Taichi stayed to the group for this scenario and searched along the shore for a bit, agreeing with Rin's idea to go further along the training grounds. Taichi was thinking that the instant anything screamed Masuyo at him, he'd run after to try and get the first strike, but for now he played along as a team member. He already somewhat grew bored of the searching, he'd imagine Masuyo to be quite deep into the forest, so if Sera would be nearby, he'd have a bit of a conversation with her as they're walking along the shore.

"I told you my capabilities, but I don't think you told me yours?" Taichi would say out of nowhere, he would imagine Rin having using a chakra nature of some kind, but having a sensory ninja can be quite useful it seems. He wanted to know if there's anything unique about this girl, with her sharp talk and the same observation he came up with before, he's led to believe she has more then what meets the eye.

It would appear in the briefest moment, the bag of chips empty. It was a shame. Partially covering her mouth she let out a subtle burp, tasting the sour plum potato chips once more before she reached into the back of her hip pouch and pulled out yet another bag of chips. This one was spicy seaweed flavored. The Jounin would carelessly let go of the previous bag of chips as it carried carelessly into the breeze. "Round two..." She humored to herself as she pulled the bag open. She would begin crunching on the bag of chips, a mere ten minutes already passing since she left the three to track on their own. She personally did not expect either of them to interrupt her soon. She was only familiar with Taichi's skill set as of now. The other two were more or less a mystery, though having faith in her own training ability, she had a feeling Taichi was superior than the others as it stood. Despite not having invested a vast amount of time into his training her was certainly competent enough to overcome his former teammate, Jinn.

Regardless, Masuyo would continue to carelessly indulge on her bag of potato chips waiting for her Genin to finally track her down. She knew given an hour she would attempt to encounter they. Her tracking skills, being far superior, on top of her speed would make her pursuit inevitable. Of course by forcing interaction would imply the squad loses an hour of time, something unfavorable in their odds.

“I can keep this up for a good hour or two. Though for now i’ll switch to the old fashion way to conserve energy.” Rin answered Sera’s question as he listened to both Sera and Taichi’s words. From what he gathered it doesn’t appear that Masuyo would resort hiding in the water, so he drops the sense and suppresses his chakra. Sensory nin or not Rin takes advantage of his gift as he still maintains the stimulated senses as he is keenly aware of his surroundings. At least for the most part.

“I mainly use Kenjutsu and Taijutsu. On the side I have the sensory capabilities, though i’ll admit they’re not up to standards yet. Still i’m going to work on it to expand my range.” Rin expresses of what he is capable towards his team. Of course Sera most likely has a good idea of what he can do with his Ken/Tai combination, but he never really mentioned about his sensory abilities. The only ones who knew were anyone who looks at his file, his mother, and Tsuyo Hyuga. Now that extends to Sera and Taichi, but Rin doesn’t really feel that ability is really important when their target is not anywhere close to them right now.

The wet sound under his feet is drowned out by mostly rushing sounds of the river, but due to his enhanced senses it was kind of hard ignore it. Just the sounds that Taichi and Sera make as they walk. Some of it was rocks grinding each other from the pressure while the blades of grass briefly rustle before becoming quiet as they’re pressed into the soil. It was quite strange yet familiar to Rin, but his eyes catch onto the tracks left into the ground that vaguely matches a shoe print. Even from where he stood on the water Rin could see it, and he believes Taichi could see it too.

Rin walks over to the shore as he follows the tracks and takes care not to disturb them. “I don’t think our teacher will resort to going into the water. Feels like this is just the landmark to keep an eye on us from afar.” The boy admits to the party as he follows the steps. Even if it was just an assumption it is best to communicate with the team in order to earn their trust and such. At the very least he is confirming his results as there is no sign of Masuyo aside from the tracks she left in her wake.

Then comes an obstacle that Rin encounters, and that obstacle was the tracks coming to a stop. The boy frowned as he looks at the last print on the soil before looking up at the nearby forest line ahead of them. Rin gestures with his chin at the forest before speaking again. “Any chance she took cover in the trees? If so that’s going to be a bit difficult to track, and even more difficult if she flew.” Young Uchiha would look down at the step again as he tries to gauge the gap and direction. Taking a couple of steps back, Rin would briefly sprint before leaping up on a tree even though he couldn’t make it to a suitable branch. So instead Rin slapped a right palm coated with chakra on the bark and pushed himself up. Just gaining enough height grab onto one of the high branches with his right hand as he quickly brought it up. With a pull, Rin gets on the base of the branch as he looks ahead.

Sera moved with Rin and nodded when he mentioned he was able to keep up the usage of his chakra for a Few hours, It was good to know in the case they were out here until the very end of the Exercise.  Was it possible their teacher just stayed hiding or would they leave small things for the group to pick up on?

Turning slightly towards Taichi after he asked about the groups abilities. Rin answered before she got to, which gave he a bit more time to think.  After Rin explained he was basically a front liner, it was now up to Sera. “ I guess you could say I’m an earth ninjutsuist  and a Kenjutsuist, as you likely gotten from my Nodachi, I try to use my ninjutsu with my Kenjutsu. Control the battle field and give myself . . .  and my team the land advantage” she adds in trying to sound more diverse then she felt she was.

As they moved along Rin suggested that Masuyo wouldn’t be in the water, an though he was far younger then her, she trusted his judgement,  her eyes slowly moved up into the tree line but  with the amount of Foliage and the diversity in the colors of the leaves, it was hard to make out a humanoid shape,  it seemed like the longer she looked the more humanoids shapes she seen,  but not wanting to call out  to the team with wrong information she waited  still watching the trees.  There had to be something easier than this.    After this training session it was clear she would have to do some research on better tracking and possible jutsu  to aid in it.

When Rin went up the tree by her she looked around “  ill stay on the ground  and keep an eye out”  She suggested as she would watch for Rins movements.   For moments she would loose sight of him but she would turn to Taichi and make sure to move with him if he did. “  im sorry I picked on you for your outfit,  it was just honest fun, I meant nothing by it “  * she said taking a break from looking around,  as short as it had been she felt her eyes straining and  her mind telling her wrong things.   Every different leaf looked like it could be a person, and her neck hurt from looking up constantly.

Taichi raised an eyebrow at Sera's explanation of her own abilities, more impressed with the kenjutsu part since Taichi has had a fight against a particular kenjutsu user in the past before... but got a bit thrown off with telling that she uses the combination to give her teammates a land advantage. "Not to... burst your bubble, but anyone skilled in Earth Release would be capable of doing that." he had a few abilities himself, but he realised he might've pushed it a bit, even feeling a bit bad for letting that out after Masuyo drilled into all three of them. "After all, were still Genin, were nothing special yet but later on I'm sure we'll have abilities that'll completely thwart the abilities we have now, were not meant to be that special at this stage anyway."

Typically, Taichi would've capitalised on Sera's apology and made her feel even more shit for doing it before, if he could. But like he thought before, she was already drilled in by Masuyo earlier, it would be better if there isn't another problem for the team. He pretty much ignored her apology, but hopefully gave enough of a hint that he acknowledges it, and isn't too iffy about it.

However, he instantly paid attention to Rin's reports as he was walking near Sera, ticking off the possibility that Masuyo would somehow hide in the water and instead be in one of the trees nearby, Taichi let out a grin afterwards and started to head towards the front of the treeline along the shore. "Let's test that theory out."

After performing some handseals, Taichi tapped both of his hands into the ground, suddenly about thirty meters into the forest, the ground inside of the forest started to spiral in on itself, catching and ruining some of the trees in the forest as a result, the few remaining trees that stood their ground would've had a strong ruffle that Taichi was sure would knock off anybody, no matter how resilient they were. After it was done, Taichi simply removed his hands from the ground and the jutsu was pretty much done.

"How's that, you uptight bitch?!" Taichi confidently said towards the forest, seeing the slight destruction of the forest had boosted his confidence quite a bit, and thus wasn't so reluctant to say that sentence anymore from earlier. Disregarding how he would look in-front of his teammates when he said that, his goal was to pretty much take on Masuyo first and intended to keep it that way.

Post by Rin Matoi Tue May 22, 2018 2:15 am

Another bag of chips would drop as she was satisfied for the time being. There were roughly two hours until lunch so she tried her best not to spoil it. Another five minutes passed, totaling fifteen since she left the three to try and track her. Doing nothing but day dreaming the time certainly dragged on for the Kunoichi. Fortunately for her this silence would be broken by the sound of the ground cracking as it raced towards her. As she registered this she would feel her tree begin to shift. Truth be told she did not make this first attempt of concealment to be incredibly difficult. She headed in a straight line five hundred meters from the starting point. The fact that they squad found her was a sign of one thing: they were competent enough to perform basic tracking. Masuyo was familiar with this particular technique. C-rank Ninjutsu it is, then. She mused to herself as she stood herself up.

Sending chakra to the soles of her feet made "balancing" on the disturbed tree effortless. In a way the chakra somewhat magnetized her to the surface as long as she kept a steady flow, which was second nature to her at this point. Masuyo would run around the other side of the tree while simultaneously performing a series of six hand seals. She'd make it her effort to pursue the attacking. The range of the technique and direction it came from exposed the attacker from the start. Masuyo knew they had to be along the shore. She made it an effort to remain in the canopy layer of the falling trees to remain concealed. She jumped from branch to branch as they were all falling in their own unpredictable manner.

The Jounin would ascend from the treeline, the Jounin exposed in the air. Her appearance would have her focused down on the trio with her index and middle finger against the side of her mouth. Her breasts were heaved heavily as if she just finished a massive inhale. At the climax of her leap, a mere fifteen meters into the air, she would exhale. From her lips rang a massive blitz of miniature fireballs, each approximately half a torso in size. They coned from her lips spreading a total of a fifteen meter diameter with the trio at the epicenter. They were mostly scattered, except three of the sixteen fireball flurry. Each of the students would have to deal with a single fireball directed at each of them. This also forced them to be aware of their surroundings as to not run into another fireball.

Failure to dodge would result in being pelted with a fireball. Although they were relatively weak in the grand scale of fire technique, each fireball would be capable of leaving a blistering burn and burn a hole into whatever clothing they wore. As a byproduct these fireballs would incinerate the ground beneath them as they splattered. Remaining in the same location would practically be suicide as any person would slowly cook and lose oxygen in the present inferno. The only ground not to be effected by this flurry would be that nearest to the shore of the river and the river itself, the moisture from the water being a good combating agent against fire. Masuyo would descend from the aerial attack merely a few meters from the outskirts of the flames she conjured. She did not lose sight of her Genin. It was important she also knew they were in good health doing this training exercise.

A New Beginning Empty Re: A New Beginning

Post by Tatsuya Tue May 22, 2018 1:30 pm

Rin acknowledged Sera with a nod as she volunteered to watch the ground level while he keeps an eye out from the tree canopy. His watchful eyes scanning through the forest before him as Rin hops from one tree to the next. Not straying too far from the group as he’s no further than five meters. However when the very ground started to feel like an earthquake was erupting underneath him. Rin briefly panicked as he purposely puts too much chakra under his magnetizing feet as the chakra pushes him off from his tree with a leap. Essentially leaping for a grand total of seven meters as Rin leaps from one falling tree to the next in a quick succession.

When Rin finally lands on a solid senju tree that is slightly tilted from the earth, but stable enough to remain in place. The boy heard what could be described as a bit rude from Taichi’s lips. Granted Rin gets the impression that Taichi wants to take on Masuyo himself, and probably doesn’t want help from other sources that is not his own ability. In a sense Rin can understand that, but at the same time Rin logically knows with experience that jounin are not to be trifled with. In addition to knowing advanced techniques, jounin had more time to train and gain experience years ahead of their own time.

Still Rin wasn’t granted the luxury of regrouping since he’s about twelve meters away from the other two. For Rin heard the rustling of leaves brushing against each other coming from deeper into the forest. Sure enough, their sensei makes her appearance known as Masuyo leaped high in the air while holding a tiger sign. That’s when Rin noticed she wasn’t holding her breath as he detects chakra building up from within her body. ’Do not let your emotions cloud your actions. Take control of yourself without being influenced by external stimuli such as seeing an attack coming your way.’

Rin thought to himself as Masuyo unleashed her barrage of fire at the entire area the genin were located at. Instinct took over as Rin placed his free hand on the tree and simultaneously discharges a small burst of chakra from the bottom of his feet to pivot his body clockwise. All while maintaining the magnetic effect of chakra layered on his palm and thus effectively causing him to spin around the tree to shield himself from the blast of intense heat. Luckily for Rin these trees are senju wood so they don’t burn easily as flames lick the bark and incinerate the nearby leaves. Creating a bit of smoke which shrouds his area, and of course Rin is smart enough to take in the fresh air before holding his breath. Then Rin planted his feet on the bark as he layers his feet with chakra to remain attached to the tree. Where Rin will begin to run up the tree while drawing his katana out of its scabbard before forming the tiger seal. Transforming the scabbard into an identical appearance of his katana as he more or less juggles the real and transformed one between his hands. Attempts of confusing through deception on which katana is the real one as Rin travels seven meters up the tree within a second as he was already eight meters above ground.

Despite the fact that Rin can’t see, Rin can detect Masuyo’s presence as clear as day. Using the smoke to cloak his presence from visual contact and taking the angle of the sun into consideration. Rin leaps up four meters higher while keeping tabs on the descending Masuyo as he arcs his path with good enough accuracy to where Rin is effectively above Masuyo with the sun shining above both of them. Taking advantage of the sun’s bright light, Rin hopes to create an opening if not for himself then for the others. Rin swings the left katana using the blunt edge diagonally to where it’ll smack Masuyo’s left shoulder while simultaneously thrusting the right katana at the ribbons. In hopes of severing the ribbon away from Masuyo and with Rin already falling down he could potentially snatch one. But otherwise he is just cutting the objective away so that Sera and Taichi could get them. Of course the right katana’s keen edge is facing away from Masuyo as Rin is expressing his intent of not mortally wounding her in any way other than maybe a small bruise.

Of course whether he succeeds on his attempt or fails. Rin either serves as the assault to take the objective or serves as the distraction. Additionally whether he succeeds or fails Rin can’t really control the inertia so he’s going to keep falling down. Which leads to the possibility that Rin not only slams his body at Masuyo, but also attempts to quickly wrap his arms around Masuyo by the waist in a firm grip. For this has multiple effects that stacks behind Rin’s action as it’ll potentially prevent Masuyo going anywhere without dragging him along. Also if he is going down to the ground Rin will attempt to bring Masuyo down with him as he attempts to use his strength and weight to bring her prone. Plus if he fails to snatch the bells then Rin will make a second attempt to grab the bells in the middle of descent so if Masuyo peels him off Rin will rip at least one of the bells free in the process.

Forwning slightly now looking away from Tachi, as he commented about her abilities, she  knew it as well as he did,  he simpley called her on it and she couldn’t get mad about it, but she certainly wasn’t happy aout it either.

Not having realized what he meant for a moment after Taichi had mention he was testing something he called out an tore trees from the earth with a jutsu,  a jutsu  Sera was immediately jealous of. Her walls were nothing comparted to the ninjutsu that Taichi had used, and then to add insult to injury, he called her an Uptight Bitch, or at least that’s where Sera had thought at first, until the roaring fire balls started to approach.  Luckily having trained eyes was enough to see them coming, if they weren’t as obviously shot at them it might have gone unnoticed by Sera.

“ Hey!” she called out at Taichi, not sure what to say other then that.  She had no clue were Rin was, other then he was last in a tree and Taichi had tore a chunk of them out “Where did Rin go?” She asked harshly still rather pissed off over the whole ordeal but had finally come to the conclusion that Taichi was provoking Masuyo.

Sera moved her hands upright and took a deep breath holding the tiger hand seal before placing her hand to the ground.   In front of her about 2 feet away a wall of dirt, root and small rocks promptly spurted forth.  Blocking the fire ball aimed at her, (and possibly Taichi if he was close enough.
The wall of course would explode inwards and rain chunks of dirt down on her, from being so close, but either way Sera was glad it wasn’t her that took the hit. “Mother%^&er” She cries out as she is pelted by the earth like Shrapnel.

Now quickly looking from where the source of the fireball had come from, she could make out where Rin had been by the Sizeable billow of smoke  that was on the tree top.   Moving in now, Sera Held her Nodachis handle and made a rush forwards “ Rins Too close we have to get in there” Sera Blindly Charged ahead to find where Rin might have been.   She Knew Rin was tough, and far better suited to fight a Jounin then her, but Masuyo would easily be able to go toe to toe with him if he was alone,  by getting closer she hoped she could at least draw some fire or attention towards herself so Rin could  either make his escape or  press the attack. making it Forming the half tiger, she fortified her traction with Chakra and giving herself a burst of Speed she Flickered out of her position and into the area Rin and Masuyo was. Quickly stopping and turning herself she would have made it  10 meters past them. giving herself ample space to adjust her form and engage.

When the forest started to collapse from Taichi's Earth Jutsu, he started to jump across from branch to branch, since he was only at the frontal area of where he launched the jutsu but it wasn't as bad on him compared to anyone else who would've been directly in the 30 meter zone. As soon as the jutsu calmed down, Taichi jumped back down on the ground again, seeing all the ruined chunks of trees in the forest. "Heh, so that is quite a handy jutsu... thanks gramps." he thanked his grandpa, since he was the one who taught him that one after all.

It didn't take long for Taichi to see Masuyo jump in the air, Taichi would've yelled out a remark before he saw what she was trying to do with her fingers against the side of her mouth. He quickly put together that she's using a jutsu, which he's right about when he started to see all the different fireballs launched out of her mouth, even though they weren't that great in size, they looked like they would still hurt if they landed on him.

Taichi already picked out the fireball that's heading straight for him, and thanks to his quick senses and speed, easily ran out of the way. He planned a remark towards Masuyo once more the instant he did, but saw Sera in his sight trying to pull a jutsu against her incoming fireball. He already knew she wasn't going to pull the handseal in time, much less bring up whatever jutsu she's trying to use. He ran fast towards Sera and simply grabbed her by the collar, before jumping out of the way with her and barely just dodging her fireball for her.

He didn't worry about Masuyo coming down anytime soon on them, as Taichi knew Rin seemed capable enough, and would hold Masuyo for quite a bit until the duo could join in to try and support Rin. "If you continued with that handseal, you wouldn't of even had enough time to bring out the jutsu you were trying to do, the fireball would've hit you." he told her, he felt like he was pulling a Masuyo on her and pulling some degrading lecture but even Taichi felt like she should learn from that mistake. "Maybe work on your physical form more to dodge something like that next time." he suggested before running off into the ruined forest, jumping across the branches once more to find out where Masuyo landed. He didn't like Rin tackling on Masuyo before he could, but it's a bit too late for that now it seems. He'll have to play as a team player for the rest of this training.

From the down hail of the fireballs Masuyo's senses were triggered from multiple locations as the Genin seemed to scurry like roaches in the daylight. Although she could not see them anymore their movements allowed her to pinpoint their locations. As each fireball fell from her lips they hit their mark causing minor scarring of the earth. The grass was too fresh to start any major fire, though a bit of scalding on the topsoil showed the potential of the fire. Landing on the ground, a mere seven meters from the river within the shore she would hold both hands together forming the Tiger. Rin leaped from the tree he resided on, a total of twenty meters in the air taking a greedy descent. "You should know better." The woman said almost in a perky tone as she glanced at Rin's position in the air gauging where he was going to land. Taking a skip back two meters closer to the river she made sure she was well out of range for the Genin to reach.

Just moments before touching base with the ground Rin would see, and even sense, the presence of chakra gathering in a small pool beneath his landing destination. This chakra well was connected to Masuyo from a trail the ran underground, and seemed to follow her movements even if she was not directly in contact with the earth. This would cause the charred topsoil to become a deep brown as the texture seemed to mend just slightly before the unimaginable happened.

The earth would erupt almost like a geyser, the mud slurry acting like water. This flow would be inwards towards the forest as it would impact Rin before his feet touched base, though once his feet did he would lose balance and be carried along with the torrent. This river of mud would sweep the boy away into the nearest collapsed tree being eight meters deeper in the forest. Aside from tumbling against the ground this would serve as the first bit of impact he would experience. The speed of the mud river would slam the kid into the fallen tree's trunk and continue to press him against its front, the two forces sandwiching him as he would be power washed with mud.

Masuyo would relieve herself of that hand seal, though keep the mud flow in order to keep the boy incapacitated. Masuyo would save the lecturing until after his teammates arrived so they could witness what the boy experienced and listen as well. For now the Jounin would fold her arms and gaze into her horizon turning her head from side to side in order to locate the arrival of Sera and Taichi. It was likely they would pursue her after knowing they were rather close to her location and Rin was in peril. As defense, she knew when to seek out her enemy and when to wait for them to draw towards her.
