It was hard to know what he was supposed to be doing. Should he be training? Should he be doing missions? Should he be waiting for a potential sensei to find him and scoop him up as a student? Should he be trying to find someone to train with so he could progress faster? Should he be trying to acquire new armament so that he could fight better? Or even in his case, at all? Now that he had graduated from the Academy he really did not know what he was supposed to be doing. Before there had been the structure the Academy provided, train, book work, tests, etc. Now? Now he did not have that, he was considered to be able to make his own decisions in that regard to his career as a shinobi. It left him almost listless and confused, and he was twenty. How must it feel like for those graduating as preteens or even younger? Kazuki could not imagine it. How many young adults had the discipline and forethought to know what their next steps were? How many could balance that forethought with the discipline to follow through?
Kazuki figured the answer to that question was surprisingly few. However he was far from omniscient. Maybe the physical training early on instilled a stronger sense of discipline that managed to curb the general lack of focus the hormonally charged teenage years brought on. Still those were thoughts for another time. For now he himself needed to figure out what he needed to be doing. It worked out in a sort of cycle. He needed a weapon, but to get that he needed money. But in many cases getting more money would need more focused skills in order to perform said mission. So it could be boiled down to a game of rock, paper, scissors.
He needed a weapon to truly start training his full capabilities, a sword of some kind.
He needed money for said sword meaning he needed to do missions.
He needed sharper skills in order to really do well doing missions and make more money.
In that sense he supposed it did not really matter which one he picked first. Either one would eventually get him to where he needed to be so long as he built upon the progress of each. He was however already near the training grounds. So he turned toward them and began to move, maybe he could borrow someone’s old sword or something if he met someone else there in order to practice his forms and abilities. In that regard he could in fact get the best out of training and if not he could always practice some lightning ninjutsu.
Arriving at the training grounds he took in the scenery around him. The landscape was dotted with rocks, large and small, and trees. A light fog filled the air, not enough to really obscure vision but enough that you could readily tell it was there. The air felt cool and damp and he found a nearby rock and took off his black coat. Folding it neatly and setting it upon the stone to await patiently for his retrieval of it. This left him in a simple black t-shirt and black shinobi cargo pants. As well as the black steel toed boots to match. He moved a few steps away from the stone and began to work his way through some stretching and movement exercises in order to avoid pulling anything. As he did he focused his chakra and ‘flexed’ it as well. The act being similar in concept to the stretches only for his chakra system. It in itself was also a muscle, meaning it could be strained and ‘injured’. So ‘flexing’ it, the term he used for taking hold and ‘flaring’ his chakra and then letting it settle. Essentially getting his chakra system used to having large amounts of chakra run through it suddenly. It would over time, strengthen his chakra coils to allow him to more readily run those same large amounts suddenly for longer periods without straining himself.
With that out of the way he removed a scroll from his cargo pants pocket and opened it, Within it he had recorded a few lightning release jutsu in order to have something to work on when it came time. The first of which was called ‘Snake Thunder’. It was a fairly simple jutsu that allowed one discharge electricity to shock someone on contact or release it as a projectile. When released as a projectile it took the form of a snake, giving the technique its name. As a C rank technique it would not be overly difficult to learn. Forming the seal for Dragon he began to gather his chakra. The act being far simpler due to his earlier exercise. Then he clapped his hands together and the chakra molded different, and then he formed the Monkey seal and the chakra changed once more. The seals acting as a sort of ‘combination’ to help mold his chakra in certain ways. He released the built up lightning chakra and pointed and a four meter diameter bolt of lightning, taking the shape of a snake, flew out. It struck a large stone thirty meters away and cased a portion of the rock to explode violently. Chips of rock flying off in various directions from the point of impact. Moving closer to look at the damage he perused the work and nodded in satisfaction. Then opened the scroll and with a pen put a single diagonal line through the jutsu before looking at the next one.
