Innocence had left the meeting with Ren and Natsuki feeling more than pumped. The Leader of the Uchiha Clan had given her, the talentless daughter of a hated Kage, a vote of confidence. A vote so strong and thorough that it included giving her techniques that she was certain were beyond the scope of most Ninjutsu that you could find in a book. The details of the jutsu were fresh in her mind even if she hadn't practiced them enough to be fully proficient in them. Innocence walked onto the open area training fields of the Grand Konoha Training Facility. She didn't need a whole bunch of scrolls, whatever Ren had done with his Sharingan was more than enough to burn the techniques into her memory. Wow...I can't wait to unlock my Sharingan...the things I could do.... . Innocence staked out a wide area that was free and devoid of others. She could the sense that the techniques that Ren had given here were special and she didn't want prying eyes observing her. Fortunately, the only person with a Sharingan that was entered into the Exams was Natsuki and he had been given much the same blessing as she. So the kunoichi decided that the first technique she was try to master was the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique. The single seal jutsu allowed her to increase the weight of any target or her own thereby increasing her Strength. Innocence was not a Taijutsu user but having a good degree of strentgh could be useful in case she needed to knock an opponent out cold. She focused her Doton Release chakra throughout her body and felt the gravity around herself increase. Her feet sank into the floor and her muscles rippled with additional might. Innocence practiced this jutsu about a dozen more times before moving onto a log and increasing the weight of a nearby log until it was as heavy as a boulder. Innocence further flipped through her mind rolodex and saw that Ren had given and even more extreme version of the technique. This one would allow her to further lock up her opponents while also putting them in something akin to a vice of earth. Innocence couldn't see herself increase her own Strength that high but it was certainly good enough to use.

Innocence gleamed from the information that Ren had placed in her brain that she could actually use this technique to fly. This required a lot more effort and study of the technique and its mechanics. After a few more hours of practice, Innocence was able to slowly bring herself to a float and then she was able to soar. Innocence continued to fly like this for quite some time before deciding that was enough. She slowly let herself down from the sky and took a breather. She slumped down and propped herself up on a nearby log as she tried to recover her strength from all of that flying. Using this technique, her body felt so terribly light and easy. It was as if she didn't have a single care in the world. She opened up her palm and closed, flexing it and closing her eyes as she imagined what her Dad would say if he could see her now. He had never been hard on her with respect to her troubles at the academy. He had gone to bat for her against their mother. Porsche had not been a Tiger Mom but it was obvious she felt anxiety about her youngest daughter struggles in the academy. It would reflect on their household poorly which meant it would reflect badly on Nyguyen's reputation. She closed remembered what he had said when he heard the two of them discussing what to do with the failure of an academy student they had raised.
"It's going to be okay. She's smarter than the rest of her peers. They all know that. Just give her some time for her muscles to catch up. Its easier to train one rather than the other. We should be happy to have such a gifted daughter"
He always had a soft spot for her and Mercedes, even if they treated him like a total loser. Innocence sighed as she pushed herself off the log. Maybe that was her karmic justice. The one person that had been her friend and champion all along she spat on. Now he was gone and she had to face the mockery of the world alone. Innocence didn't beleive in ghosts but she did beleive that her father would be proud if he could see her now. He would smile and say that this was only the beginning, that her Sharingan was just over the horizon but that ultimately it didn't matter. He'd be proud of what she had accomplished and win, lose or draw she'd always be a winner in their home. Innocence formed a fist and felt her chakra return with a burning passion.

The Golem Technique was simple when you considered what Doton could be used for, but the technique was unmistakably powerful. It was something that honestly shouldn't even exist given how low its chakra cost was meant to be and how powerful the construct was. It was way beyond the level of anything that most skilled Doton users could create. It could be that Innocence was simply naive and unskilled in Earth based Ninjutsu but she had been studying like her head was on fire recently and even as far as she could tell this jutsu was something else. The surgeon began by studying the handsign of the technique. She practiced making it a few times until she was satisfied with her form. Then she molded the chakra and practiced creating the golem. It took her quite some time to finally get the technique down pat. Despite her raw intelligence, her skill was mediocre at best and the first few dozen attempts was...subpar to say the least. Innocence actually had to come back over the course of multiple days to perfect this technique but for the time being she was decently satisfied with the results of it. For now, she had to get use to the idea of retching up and incredibly powerful golem. The other thing she worked on was the reconstitution aspect of the technique. By continuously pumping chakra into the creature, Innocence could have it persist indefinitely until some ungodly powerful technique obliderated it completely. Once she was happy with her progress, Innocence moved onto the next suite of techniques.
The Hiding with Camflouge Technique was another nifty jutsu that seemed too good to be true. Innocence was shocked that the technique was being given to her. It seemed like the kind of jutsu that could pose a serious security risk to a village and Ren had given it to a genin. Granted, at this point Innocence liked to think of herself as a Chuunin in waiting. Nonetheless it was strange. Oh well...he must really want us to perform well. I guess the Uchiha Clan is feeling salty that the Hokage has ties to the Hyuuga Clan. Its their first Kage after all and given the losses we took recently maybe he wants to show the world we aren't to be trifled with. Innocence would help with that. What make this jutsu interesting was that it played on one of her top skills: sneaking about. While close quarters combat had been a grueling and brutal climb to greatness, Innocence had always had a penchant for being where she was not expected. She had been nicknamed by some of her friends in the Academy: The Green Ghost. Precious little was safe when she was around. Innocence made the necessary seal and practiced refracting the light around her body and sneaking around. She was pretty sure no one could see her while she used this technique but she'd have to work with her older sister to confirm that was in fact the case. Once that was done, she moved onto the next set of techniques.

Innocence was beginning to get worn out so she stabbed the katana into the dirt and went for a walk around the training facility. Eventually, she would come right back to the spot where her sword was, pick it up and continue her training bouts. Once she had finished learning the Cloud-Style Crescent Moon Beheading, she switched to the Cloud-Style Deception Beheading. A lot of these techniques were named "Beheading" which was rather alarming even for a macbre surgeon such as herself. Innocence didn't want to kill anyone during the Exams. Sure, she wanted to crush Nao and Hibiki. And yes, she did want to temporarily maim Kaori if possible but she certainly didn't want to kill anyone. And even if she did, it would be most unwise given how seriously the Carmine Hyuuga took inter-village violence.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to possibly rename these Kenjutsu attacks like... Cloud-Style Deception Hurt Them Really Bad Possibly Causing Bleeding And Wounding But Certainly Not Death

Innocence was further happy that this technique appeared to take advantage of that surprise element, something that she the Green Ghost enjoyed. Innocence ran through a couple of scenarios before giving it a rest and deciding that she had it all figured out. She then moved out to the next technique which was the Samurai Sabre Technique which allowed her to shape her katana in interesting ways. She'd use the power to give her a bit of extra length and range on her strikes should it prove necessary. Innocence then spent a considerable amount of time rapidly shifting her chakra into different shapes aiming to configure all kinds of strategies and tactics using the jutsu. It was a peculiar technique for a shinobi to use but it suited Innocence's purposes just fine. After all of that training, Innocence was completely exhausted. The sweat poured from her body and she guzzled the last of her water before throwing her plastic water bottle into the recycling bin. It had been a rough training session and she hadn't even gotten through all of the techniques that Ren had shown her it was a rather big chunk of learning she had done and she was proud that she had been able to get a lot of it down. Of course, that meant working even harder to master them in time for Exams. Innocence knew that in order to compete with some of these shinobi from around the world, her skills needed to be as perfect as they could be. She was getting there but it still felt like there was so much she needed to do and learn. Could she do it in time?
