It was a dry day in Land of Lightning, the usually full clouds were dispersed and too wispy to produce their usual tears. Heading out to one of the many training fields within the hidden village Akashi had a strict goal in mind for some techniques he’d been reading up on. First was the most simple, his hands came to together to form the Tiger seal and after focusing chakra in his feet propelled forward and rebound off a metal fence across the field. Satisfied with that technique he then decided to try out something a bit more complicated, his mind eager to work on a more complex obstacle. Closing his eyes he molded his chakra, thinking of an image of himself in his mind that he intended to replicate. Opening his eyes he formed the clone seal, a poof of ninja smoke appeared next to him that revealed a slightly hodgepodge version of himself that soon after it’s creation released due to its unstable form. Cursing his lack of patience he closed his eyes once more, bringing his hands together into a more meditative stance he pondered the issues in the attempted apparition. Clearly I didn’t focus my chakra finely enough, otherwise it wouldn’t have looked like that.Opening his eyes once more he calming raised his hands and formed the clone seal once more. This time he waited eve longer after forming the seal, getting a feel for how the release would feel and to make sure it didn’t come undone at the end like before. Finally releasing the chakra he watched with anticipation at the cloud of smoke that again poofed up at his side, eyes darting up and down to see if any deformities were to be found. A smile broke across his face as he looked at a perfect replica of himself staring right back at him, both knowing what technique was next on their agenda. Reaching for his new sword he’d purchased he walked over to a patch of trees and lopped off a branch with a single swing. Tossing the branch to the clone he suddenly threw his sword at them, a hazy image of the clone being struck in the chest was then removed with the reality of the branch being pierced and clone hiding safe in a nearby tree.

This move was an essential piece to the interrogation of captured or incapacitated enemies, one that Akashi had particular interest in. Wanting to create his own variant one day as soon as he read of it he knew mastering its basics was the first step. The clone closed its eyes and focused on the task at hand, molding its chakra and transferring it to the hand making contact. Open the release of chakra the clone opened its eyes to find itself in a black void, a stream of something in front of him that was indiscernible with the level of focus currently held. Clearing his mind of any lingering doubt he plunged deeper into the void, fishing through what he saw until he caught a glimpse of a memory, though he felt it a bit cheating to be fishing for his own memories. Regardless he tried to grasp and view the memory, it seemed to be from his childhood before the wars erupted over the sea. His hand could feel the cool water that his small hand was in, the rush of water as their trading vessel moved at a leisurely pace- Suddenly he was torn out of the memory, having gotten lost in the memory and the focus he was suppose to pull out and view with more authority. Shaking his head he tried again, this time effortlessly plunging in and grasping a memory from the other week and saw just exactly what he had eaten at that ungodly hour after a late night of reading.
Now desiring a safe space for his mind the clone placed their hand on Akashi’s forehead once more for this next one. The technique at hand was one that would actually carry over upon successful replication of its effects, being designed to protect one's mind against the invasive prodding of enemy shinobi should the occasion occur. Scrunching their eyes he watched as the clone struggled with the intricacies of its own mind and how to properly barricade it. Mental walls had to be erected around important memories so special techniques or locations weren’t revealed to prying eyes, which was no simple task. Concentrating the clone released a wave of chakra, finding and collecting the memories that were desired to keep safe. Upon first attempt the clone then proceeded to check its work, finding that not only were the specific memories we collected not the ones he protected but the wall had holes easily found all around it. Now grasping a more tangible example of how the technique worked he took a deep breath and concentrated once more. This time he took more care to pick out each memory individually instead of hurriedly clumping them together. Carefully placing each one inside a roughly defined barrier he then focused on the creation of a whole wall around them, making sure there weren’t any impurities to make cracking through the wall an easier task. Releasing a final wave of chakra he found his work this time to have paid off with the diligence he put into it, glad to know that for the next week or so he’d be safe if some random enemy agent decided to incapacitate him.
Finally he’d gotten to the meatiest of the jutsu he’d read up about, this technique has almost infinite uses in battle and would no doubt save his life one day. Focusing his chakra for the large amount that was required he nodded to his clone and prepared for the Kenjutsu approach. Pulling his tanto out he barely had time to deflect his clone’s attack, backing up to the side of one of the trees he prepared to enact the jutsu. Ducking beneath a diagonal slash he parried an incoming knee strike with the pommel of his sword, flowing his chakra out he tried to fuse with the try behind him to allow for a smooth escape out of the cornered situation. Alright, I need to mold my chakra in such a way that the tree is able to accept my physical form. It was almost like Fuuinjutsu, being able to accept a physical mass into a space that already held mass. Pushing his right foot he started to fuse through the tree, though as soon as he started to succeed the clone pushed again, shifting his weight onto the sword and bringing his free elbow to strike Akashi’s dome. Panicking he aborted the attempted and rolled away from the elbow and pounced off the base of the tree, putting some distance between them. Thinking quickly he bound back to clash swords once more, this time putting his chakra into melding with and through his own sword. Immediately shooting through the small amount of mass that the sword consisted of Akashi took on its metal properties, delivering a quick elbow to the check of his clone to dissipate it once and for all.
Releasing the technique he kept his sword out for the last technique, being the only item on his list that was of his own creation. Desiring a higher level of speed to allow for a quicker and higher likely chance of using his poison he closed his eyes and prepared to push his limits. To achieve his goal he would need to dart three times, alternating between blade and fist to wear the target down. He selected a nearby tree as his target, pacing back and forth as he eyed what lie around him. The metal fence was an obvious one, he’d used that earlier with the Body Flicker technique. There was another tree to the side that was still standing and a wall that looked just within range. Leaping off he aimed at the fence first, hitting its surface with unaccustomed steed he took a moment longer than he should have to prepare his next launch. Whizzing by the tree he brushed it with the side of his free fist, aiming for the tree this time. Perching on a branch he tried to launch right away unlike last time and missing his mark, slamming his thigh into the branch and falling down. Saving himself with a roll off his shoulder he looked at the tree once more before taking off again without a moment's notice. The sapling swung to and fro as his knee jabbed its center, zipping right off towards the tree and slashing the top inch off. Landing on the branch successfully he jumped off a final time towards the wall just twenty-meters away and performed a spinning kick that broke the sapling in half. Glancing off the wall he landed back down, a bead of sweat gathering at his forehead from the large amount of chakra expended. Satisfied with a successful training session he head back to have a shower and read until night fell.
