Ren would appear out of thin air on the roof the grand Konoha training facility as he stepped out of the Kamui dimension with a smile on his face, he had been in the building so much that it felt to him as if every room within the building was seared into his mind, but for what he had planned the roof was where he needed to be. One of his three sensory techniques that were active let him know that there was no one within the building, the second told him that no one was near the building, while the third would tell him that no one within the entire village was moving towards the building. Ren was completely alone and that was the way he wanted it, there was less of a chance that he would be seen. He had many fond memories here, considering the fact that this was the place where he spent most of not all of his free time, it was not hard to figure out that this was where most of his memories lead him. Considering the fact that he had spent his entire life striving to become stronger than he had been before, stronger than his father believed that he was, stronger than he had believed he was. In fact, to him this place was Konohagakure, or at least the heart of it. Every Shinobi that was worth their name within Konoha had spent time in this building, but for him to have it completely to himself right now was the perfect setting for what he had planned. As the rain poured down around him, Ren would look out across the village from his vantage point. He had been betrayed, not by one person, not even a small group of people, but by this entire village. Everything that he had known was a lie, but what had hurt more than the fact that the village he had sworn his life to protect had betrayed him was the fact that his own clan had been apart of the betrayal and lies. He had felt distant from the people of the village for a long time, but there had always been something or someone that kept his heart with the village. At first it was his honor and the fact that he had sworn his life to the village, when that began to wane it was his desire to make his Sensei proud, then after his Sensei abandoned him to fend for himself it was his desire to restore the glory of his clan and become leader. Of course, his clan turned their back on him at the idea, many saying he was to young or too hot headed, he had been willing to accept that and had strive to prove them wrong even after they had named the traitor Kimiko the new leader. At the time he had Airi and the rest didn't matter, now she took was gone and he didn't even know if she would come back or if she had abandoned him like his Sensei had. The fact that it took him becoming Anbu to learn of this secret, to finally learn the truth was the straw that broke the camel's back, though if he was being truthful with himself Kimiko had been the one person that had been honest to him. Though she did not give an in depth detail of everything, he finally came to the realization that her words were true. While he stood there, dwelling on the past a small soft voice would sound in his ear. "Now is not the time for this, we should begin our search." The voice reminded him of the fact that there were more important things that needed to be done, there was someone that he needed to find. Ren would take one last look out at the village before disappearing once more into the Kamui dimension.
Rain poured down from the heavens over the entirety of the Scarlet Region, a cloud coverage would appear almost instantly over the entire southwestern portion of the land of fire. There would be no flashes of lightning, nor cracks of thunder, only rain. A downpour that touched down over every inch of the land, every building, statue, tree, person, blade of grass it didn't matter, everything in this part of the country was soaked from the downpour of the rain. Standing alone on a cliffside overlooking the small Ningyo Settlement, Ren would appear from the Kamui Dimension. The rain seemingly avoiding ever touching him, as if he was in the one spot in the entire country that rain was not falling on, despite the clouds over his head. Even as he began to walk down a small narrow pass towards the town, the young Uchiha would remain dry as the rain would stop falling where he was about to step and begin raining where he had been. Rain Tiger at Will was an extremely useful technique and considering what it was that Ren hoped to accomplish likely the only way he was going to be able to find what it was that he was looking for. It had been nearly two years since anyone had seen Ren's father or sister, of course he wasn't exactly heartbroken over this fact, Ren often told others that his father was dead, and he never really talked about his sister. Though here recently, since the appearance of what he could only assume was his mother's ghost he found himself thinking about Sienna more and more. He couldn't help himself from wondering what happened to her or where she was now, wondering if she was still trapped with their father. Ren had been the lucky one, his father abandoned Ren when he left and while at first fending for himself wasn't that easy, it was easier for him than when he lived with his father, so he could only imagine how hard it had been on his sister. He wasn't even sure why he was suddenly thinking about them, he had not thought about either one of them in so long he almost had forgotten he had a sister at all. However, that night when his mother appeared to him and helped him to quiet his mind and connect with the world around him, everything changed. There was a flash in his mind that night, he couldn't explain it and he didn't quite understand it, but he saw her, he saw Sienna. It was more than just his sister he saw however, it was a place, somewhere he had been before. it had taken him time to figure it all out, days in fact, but with a little effort on his part, he was able to pick up on some details which led him here. It had been many years since he had visited the Scarlet Region, and he had not planned to return so soon, considering the fact that the last time he was here he had sworn he would return as the leader of the Uchiha Clan and Hokage to forge a new future for the Scarlet Kingdom. This of course was a simple child's fantasy, with no real merit behind the words, he had since given up on the dream of being Hokage, and with Kimiko currently running the clan the chances of him become leader of the Uchiha anytime soon was slim to none. The only dream he had now was the one to gain the power he needed to protect the only person he cared about, Airi. It wasn't about whether or not she could defend herself, it was the fact that he loved her and would do anything to keep her safe, considering the dangers that were out in the world he knew that he needed power in order to achieve that. His quest for power had led him down a dark road at first, striving only for himself, he started to believe that he was truly following in his father's footsteps. The day he had met Airi, she showed him a different path. It was now his love for her that drove him to fight as hard as he did, to train as hard as he could, to achieve the power of a god, not for his own gain and not for himself either really, it was all done to protect the one he cared about. Though there are other's he would gladly give his life to protect, both in his family and outside his family, and he would do anything for the village hidden in the leaf or the Uchiha Clan, he would betray them all if it meant that he could protect Airi.
It was this quest for power that was made from love that drove him to find the power of the Sage of the Six Paths, and through that reconnect with the world around him in a way that he once had when his mother was still alive. Now his path has brought him here, somewhere within this area was his sister. Though he had always hoped that his father was actually dead, as he had told people he was, Ren had always prayed that his sister had gotten away from the man and was living a good life far away. Finding out that she was still in the country and hadn't come back home however, made him worry that his father was still alive and that he was keeping Sienna away from home. At least, that was what he liked to think now, the alternative being far too painful for him. To think that his sister got away from their father but did not wish to be with Ren either was just too much for him, but one way or another he was going to find the truth, because he was not leaving until he did. While the Rain Tiger at Will technique was extremely effective in allowing him to spread his sensory abilities over a vastly larger area than he could have ever imagined, it was not perfect. It could pick up chakra sources only if the rain actually touched the person, meaning that the people inside buildings and what not were effectively shielded from discovery from him with it. So, when initially he could not sense his sister with his rain technique, he decided rather than standing around waiting for her to step outside into the rain that he would investigate closer. His normal sensory range would be more than effective at finding her, once he got close that is, but he would continue the rain just in case she ended up coming outside before he was close enough to sense her through his normal sensory. As Ren would begin walking through the streets of the Ningyo Settlement, his Sensing Technique scanning everything as he moved, Ren's mind would trail back to thoughts of him and his sister when they were younger. He was only three years older than she was, he could still remember the day that his mom and dad had returned from the hospital with her. He had been so excited to meet his baby brother, that when he found out it was a baby sister, Ren had insisted that they brought the wrong baby home. It took several days for his mother to finally get him to accept her, and once he opened his heart to his sister it never closed. They were the best of friends, thick as thieves and in it for the long haul, at least they were until their mother died. That was the day that everything changed for the both of them, he had been out training with their dad, but Sienna had been home when it happened. He wasn't sure if Sienna was actually with her, or simply found her after. His father never let him get the full story out of her, and after that day she was completely shut down from him. Not a word or a whisper spoken to him, to the point that Ren believed that like his father, Sienna somehow blamed Ren for their mother's death. There was little he could do to help his sister back then; his father became a much more crueler individuals over those following months, constantly pushing him with his training, he never saw much of Sienna other than during meals and she wouldn't talk just eat and then go to her room. Due to all the pressure and beatings that he was given from his father, Ren lost track of time sometimes days on end, and to his regret he lost his sister.
The love he held for his sister was still there, it just became buried underneath everything else that was piled on top of him, buried deep down beneath all the hatred and self-loathing that his father had instilled into his mind that he just lost track of everything. Then four years after his mother's death, both his father and Sienna disappear. He had told the clan that he was taking Sienna to see the old kingdom ruins and to teach her more about her clan's history, however after a month of being gone, Ren began to question it. He would go to the elders as well as the police, telling them that his sister was missing, but no one listened or at least it seemed as though no one really cared. She was gone on a trip with her father, she wasn't missing, they will return when they are ready. All of them answers that he had gotten to explain away their disappearance from the village, after a time Ren simply gave up. There was no point in trying to get help when no one wanted to believe him or actually do anything to help him find her, so he resolved to find them on his own. Back then he didn't have the sensory capabilities he had now, nor was he as trained in tracking or combat. He had searched the ruins for any signs that might had led him to them, but found nothing, though considering it had already been months at that point it wasn't to be unexpected. The people he asked that were in the area, had never seen them, no matter where he looked, he couldn't find answers and then one day he just fully gave up. Now that he thought about it he didn't even know why he gave up the search, it was just like one day he didn't care enough to keep looking, and he returned home to continue his career as a shinobi. It wasn't until recently that he even began looking back at that, and now for the past four days it was all he could think about. Why did he give up the search, why did he give up on his sister, why did he let himself forget. All he knew now was that he had to find her, he didn't know why, but something within himself was telling him to find her and he knew it was going to keep eating away at him until he did. His memory had never been that great, but with the fact that his memory around his sister seemed so foggy, Ren was beginning to think that he did find something all those years ago. His father had always been good with Genjutsu, it was possible that Ren might have even found the pair of them, and his father used his genjutsu to make Ren forget. Hell, it was possible that his father had made the whole town forget that they saw them, which would have explained why it was that when he had originally come searching, they all answered with a had not seen them type of answer. To think that they had been right under his nose this whole time made Ren's blood boil, but not as much as the fact that his father wiped his mind. It was enough to make Ren want to burn the entire town to the ground just to draw the man out, but the young Uchiha would restrain himself. If there was one thing he had learned over the years since his father had left him alone, it was that level heads prevailed. Something that he had wished he had learned before the recent Uchiha meeting, but was a lesson that he had learned, nonetheless. Akemi would poke her head out from beneath Ren's cloak, "Are you sure you are not overreaching with this idea of yours? Just because they were here before doesn't mean that they would still be here."
Ren's red Sharingan eyes would look down to the small salamander on his shoulder with a intensity that said she forgot her place causing her to cower slightly back underneath the cloak, "I will not give up my search. I don't care how long it takes or if I have to search every single country in the process, I will find her. She has to be alive, Akemi. She has to be." Akemi would nod an understanding nod before returning to the confines of the cloak, she was only there in case he needed healing, though from how things were looking he was beginning to think that she was not needed. Still, he would keep her summoned, just in case his luck changed. Since he had become Anbu, he poured himself over the old mission reports and files, familiarizing himself with their operations. He was always a quick study, so it really did not take long to go through most of them, but there was one that caught his eye. "They had kept track of him, all these years later, they have known where he was with her, and they kept it from me. They could have helped me get her back, but instead they pretended as if they didn't know anything about it or where they could have gone. It wasn't just him that they were watching either, they kept track of her as well. They could have helped me save Sienna, but they chose to turn a blind eye to the matter." Ren's voice was seething in anger, but it wasn't at Akemi, it was at the fact that he had been lied to for so long and that he failed to save his sister.
Finishing his search of the the Ningyo settlement, Ren would disappear once more from where he was, reappearing at the top of the ruins of the Uchiha Castle within the Scarlet Region instantly. There wasn't much to look at, no houses within the area and not even the slightest sign of a makeshift shelter. Ren remembered his father's stories of the castle and how the Royal family had secret tunnels and other things beneath the castle, something like that would provide both shelter and security as few knew about them and even fewer knew how to get into them now that the castle had crumbled. According to the files, this is where Junichiro would meet with the Anbu operative to make his report, but the last operative that they sent never reported back in. His body was later retrieved from the forest nearby, pronounce KIA but there was no further investigation into the matter, and there was no further contact attempted with Junichiro. Ren wasn't sure what it meant, it was possible that Akemi had been right and that the man fled the country after that, but Ren wasn't going to rule anything out until every stone was turned. Jumping down to the ground below, Ren would activate his Seismic Sense once more allowing him to see the underground network of tunnels that his father had spoken about when he was younger. There was no access from anywhere on the surface, all of them seemed to be collapsed at some point along their shaft, and there were no movement within them that he could sense. That of course did not mean that there wasn't someone hiding within the tunnel system, but if they were, it was not near the castle ruins. Ren would activate the lightweight rock technique, allowing him to fly through the air at a slightly faster rate than normal, giving him a bird's eye view of the area. Of course, the problem he had been having with his eyes made the view slightly irrelevant not to mention the fact that his Rain Tiger at Will Technique covered the entire area. It was more for the speed, once he was far enough Ren would touch down on the ground long enough to use his seismic sense technique to scan the area underground before flying off to another area. He had only scanned a quarter of the ruins when something got his attention from his Rain Tiger at Will Technique, on the far edge of the ruins of the Scarlet Kingdom, a figure appeared that had not been there before. There were dense trees in the area, so it was possible that they had some kind of shelter within the forest that the Rain had not been able to reach because of the trees. As his technique began to send him a mental image of the person, Ren would stop moving. Disappearing from where he was in an instant and reappearing a few meters away from the person. Seeing her face with his own eyes, Ren was at a loss for words, there before him would stand Sienna, his younger sister. Even with his poorer than usual eyesight, he would know his sister's face, despite the years that it had been since he had seen her last. Sienna stood there unmoving, likely surprised by her brother's sudden appearance, but unlike her brother three words would escape her lips. "You found me." Ren would slowly raise one shakily hand towards her, his voice still lost in his throat. As his hand drew nearer to her though, she would suddenly react. Cutting his hand with a Kunai she had hidden before jumping back and taking a defensive position. Jerking his hand back and looking at it as he hissed in pain, Ren would look to his sister in shock, he just couldn't understand it. "Why?" Ren finally manage to voice as he felt Akemi moving down his arm within the cloak to begin healing his wounded hand with her Ijutsu.
As he felt his hand being healed, Ren would lock eyes with his sister as he waited for the answer to his question. Rather than an answer he would be met with the Genjutsu: Sharingan as his sister would activate her own Sharingan and the world around them would begin to dissolve and fade away, as fire began erupting around them forming an arena of flames surrounding both of them. It seemed to Ren that his sister had excelled at what he could not, what their father had wanted, but it still did not explain to him why she would attack him. Shaking his head, Ren would look back to his sister. "What is the meaning of this Sienna, why have you attacked me? It's me, Ren." Ren would call out to her, to which Sienna would scoff. "I know who you are, I am not an idiot. I also know why you are here, Father told me everything, but you are too early, my eyes will do you no good." The way she said "Father" would send a slight chill down Ren's spin, it was as if the man was a king or something in her eyes. "What are you talking about Sienna, too early for what?" Ren questioned but was answered with seven Kunai as Sienna would throw them in his direction, he couldn't be sure where they were just an illusion like their surroundings or if they might have been real, so he didn't take any chances. Dodging each of them in turn, Ren would look back at his sister with a small sigh. "I don't know what that man has told you, but I am here to save you." This time the response was slightly surprising, a laugh would come from Sienna. "Save me? From what, my Father? Are you insane Ren, the man is our Father. Why would I need saving, especially from you after what you did?" Ren was confused by her words, but then he realized the truth, she must be under the same influence that he was under that made him forget about her or something. It was the only thing that would explain why she would think what she was, their father had brainwashed her over the years. "Sienna, no matter what Junichiro told you, it's not..." "Save it! I don't want to hear your lies, you are here to kill me, but I will kill you first!" Sienna would interrupt Ren shouting over his words, before large shackles would appear pinning him to the ground. He couldn't move, no matter how hard he tried even though he knew he was in a genjutsu, he couldn't break free of it. Sienna would slowly move closer to him, a kunai still at the ready in her hand. "Father has trained me every day since the day we fled, he knew that you would not stop until you found us and do to us what you did to mother." Ren would stare at Sienna in both shock and confusion, "What are you talking about, Sienna? I didn't do anything to mother. I..."
"I told you that I don't want to hear your lies, Father found out the truth of what happened that day him and I went finishing and you claimed someone attacked mother while we were out. You killed her, but that wasn't enough for you, and so you came after me. Father stopped you, but he couldn't bring himself to kill you, so me and him fled and the Anbu has had you in prison. Last month, Father received word that you had broken out, we have been waiting for you." Ren could not believe his ears, their father had her so brainwashed that it was crazy. She actually believed the stuff she was saying, and Ren wasn't even sure if he was going to be able to get through to her, but he knew that he couldn't hurt her. She was a victim in all of this, just like he was. "Now, show me. Show me the eyes that you used to kill our mother!" Sienna would shout as she drew closer and closer to Ren, Ren would close his eyes as he suddenly realized what this was really about. It was a month ago that he had been promoted to Jounin, more than likely his father had heard about it and realized that Ren had finally grown in power, perhaps enough for him to have unlocked the Mangekyou Sharingan. If not, then trying to force Ren to kill his sister was a sure way for him to unlock it, but this did not strike Ren as the original plan his father had set out on. No doubt that Junichiro sought to drive Sienna to unlock the ability and take it from her, or maybe his plan was for her to kill Ren and then he undoes the brainwashing and reveals the truth which would no doubt cause Sienna to unlock the unique power of the special eyes of the clan. It was hard to say what his father's true plan was, but Ren couldn't help but think about what Kimiko had said in the clan meeting about how Satomi and Nyguyen had killed her faineance and taken his eyes for themselves. Without opening his eyes, Ren would speak. "Junichiro has lied to you Sienna, he has altered you memories and I can prove it." There would be no answer, but considering she did not cut him off he would continue. "I can tell that you excel in Genjutsu, just like him, it has never been my strong suit. Use the Sharingan, look into my memories and tell me that I am lying." As he finished Ren would open his eyes revealing his normal eyes, watering as tears began to stream down his face. As he felt her mind begin to pierce into his, Ren would use Genjutsu Kai to break out of the first to Genjutsu she had cast on him, hoping that her look into his mind would distract her as well as show her the truth. Unfortunately, it did not work out the way that he had planned. "Liar!" Sienna would shout at the top of her lungs, "you killed her!" Sienna would rush forward with the kunai drawn, Ren now free of the genjutsu would quickly move to counter without harming her. Every move he made, she would be one step ahead of him, as he forgot to reactivate his sharingan until finally the kunai would plunge into his gut before Sienna would pull it free of him.
Ren would cry out in pain as his eyes would flash red and shift into the Mangekyou Sharingan as he fell to his knees in front of his sister, suddenly he would hear a voice call out from behind him to his sister. The voice would send a shiver down his spine as it brought him flashbacks of his childhood, "good. Now finish him off, Sienna. Do what has to be done, for your mother." Ren's eyes would flash with anger as he heard his father's words, his head slowly shaking from side to side as he pleaded with his sister. He knew that Akemi could heal the wound, he just needed to buy her the time to do it. "Sienna, listen to me please. I did not kill our mother, you did not go finishing with our father. You are the one that was home with mother and found her body, and he has been manipulating your mind ever since. I don't know why, except to lead here to this very moment to make us fight each other and one of us kill the other, but I will not fight you. I love you Sienna, and I could never hurt you." Ren would close his eyes as he heard a chuckle coming from behind him, looking back to his sister with his pleading eyes, Ren would watch as she raised the dagger over her head. As her arm would come down, Ren would react out of instinct. His body becoming incorporeal and the kunai and her hand passing straight through him, what he had not counted on was Sienna ending up stabbing herself. As Sienna collapsed onto the ground Ren would move over her, "NO! Sienna!" Ren would shout out as he pulled the Kunai from her lower abdomen, "Akemi, Akemi help her." Ren would tell his summoned salamander, as he heard his father's voice behind him again. "Save your energy, she was always too weak. I see you have obtained the power, but now you will give it to me," Junichio would call out to Ren. Ren without turning around would hold his hand out touching Sienna allowing Akemi to move over to her, "Ren, I can't heal her in a battlezone." Akemi would object, "Don't worry you will be safe," Ren replied as both Sienna and Akemi would disappear into the Kamui dimension, before Ren would stand. Turning around to face his father as he summoned the Uchiha Gunbai from the Kamui dimension into his hand, Rage oozing off of him as he entered his Sage Mode.
