A diminutive figure cast their gaze on the training field surrounding them. Crimson hues twinkled with mischevious mirth as darkness swept beneath hiding the insanity buried within. The owner a short young 'woman' only four foot ten in height with a slender frame. Delicate snow white fingers brushed through strands of long black hair, making sure to avoid the senbon needles so not to cut their fingers. The person was known as Yumi and looked to be a sweet young girl with a charming smile and petite body with snow white skin. Yumi was considered a snow white beauty and could be considered especially charming due to her appearance, but Yumi was something else entirely. With a glance and stare everyone thought the diminutive Yumi was a girl and with common knowledge, it was expected as Yumi looked like a girl, acted like a girl and dressed in female yukata's and kimonos, but Yumi was anything but a girl, Yumi was a boy of sixteen years. Yumi had a twisted psyche and enjoyed fooling the minds of all who laid eyes upon him. He looked like the picture perfect image of a noble young lady, a civilian and not the deadly shinobi he was. All his weapons were concealed.
The twin holsters he wore, hidden on his wrists beneath his yukata sleeves, the hip pouch on his right tucked away in the obi sash, a scroll on the left and at the back hidden behind the obi sash bow a sheathed tanto blade. He had senbon needles concealed in his hair hidden by the luscious black locks. The only weapon he had that was visible was the umbrella he carried full of senbon, but it looked like an ordinary umbrella and was hard to tell it had senbon loaded inside. Yumi was all about misleading, distraction and misdirection, keeping everything about himself as secret as possible, to surprise his enemies.
The kirigakure shinobi was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of pathetic sobbing and whimpering. Looking down in front of Yumi tied up in rope was a dirtied man who looked forty. The man was a random homeless Yumi had plucked off the streets; he needed a test subject. Why? Yumi was planning to test out some genjutsu he was working In confusion. The genin had been writing down ideas for some D and C rank genjutsu he had come up with in his past time, totalling in at seventeen techniques, and now he was interested in testing out his ideas and getting them off the ground. Yumi considered himself an accomplished amateur in the art of illusions, but to become a true master he needed to expand his arsenal and invent his own truly horrifying illusions.
Yumi reached into his right sleeve, pulling out a little black book and opened it. The book was full of notes of various ideas. Yumi owned three books a black one containing all his Genjutsu ideas, a red one for his poisons and other chemical ideas and lastly a cyan blue for any medical techniques he had ideas for. He had left the red and blue book at home as he was only focusing on his Genjutsu ideas for practice today. Yumi hummed a gentle tune gazing at the ideas listed in the little black book, trying to decide on which to test out first. The book contained dozens of experimental ideas for Genjutsu not just of the D and C rank but above, containing some for B rank techniques even A. The longer one read the book, the more horrified they would become at the ideas within they were truly twisted and terrifying.
Casting his gaze back onto the whimpering man, Yumi sneered the sneer looked truly ugly on his beautiful features, completely out of place. Yumi had been using the man as a test subject for various poisons designed to weaken the mind making the target easily susceptible to genjutsu. Now after being poked, prodded and poisons so many times he had been reduced to a snivelling mess. Yumi raised his right leg and kicked the man before drawing his tanto blade and cut the ropes. "Stay!" Barked out Yumi getting a cowardly nod from the man.
Yumi took a few steps back and rubbed his chin deciding on which experimental genjutsu he should use first. Yumi decided to just start in order, the first was a technique designed to confuse and distract the opponent. Yumi smiled sweetly at the man making him gulp nervously. The little 'lolita' began swaying his hips in a rhythmic and seductive manner. His arms extended out joining him as he began to belly dance, shaking his hips and belly promptly. The man locked onto the form of the moving lolita, as he did he blinked feeling his vision beginning to blur. As his vision blurred Yumi's image split apart into five overlapping blurring images startling him. Suddenly he felt pain in his left cheek; blood trickled past as a senbon had sailed forward, removed from Yumi's hair on the right side, arm extended. The man squeaked at the sight and almost wet himself.
Yumi rubbed his chin. The technique had its advantages and was named the Rippling wave due to the rippling effect it created around his body. The five overlaying images was to confuse his movements all five performed the same task but made it increasingly hard to see just where the attack would be coming from. Yumi walked past the man and retrieved the senbon needle licking the blood off and stashed it back into his hair before his place once more at his previous spot.
Yumi began swaying his body once more, moving akin to a snake or a belly dancer, drawing the focus of his test subject. Ripples started coming off his body, distorting his image and affecting the targets vision. FIve overlapping images of Yumi began to form over the original body just like the previous technique. Yumi kicked off with what little speed he had launching towards the homeless man. A hand reached behind Yumi's back drawing his tanto blade, holding it in a reverse grip. The overlapping images copied Yumi's actions. The genjutsu used sidestepped to the right the images following behind confusing and disorientating the man with their movements. Yumi moved right in and began the process of swinging the blade. The man turned to the far left image attempting to block but left his back open allowing the edge of the tanto to bite into his back slashing open a decent sized wound, drawing blood. Yumi stepped back the images following as the man cried out, but Yumi wasn't done as he chained an illusion.
The five overlapping images came back together to create one before Yumi stepped to the left. Yumi swayed his body while doing so and immediately dozens of overlapping images of the yukata wearing genin spread out left and right circling the man. Yumi moved and so did the illusions creating a circle of confusion. In the confusion, Yumi struck again with the tanto slicing the left cheek of the man and retreated five meters.
RIppling Wave, Rippling Step and Rippling Spring three D rank techniques involving the use of body movement to confuse and distort the enemy. They were just three of many techniques Yumi planned to have up his sleeve. Now time to try a few of the more, fun ideas. Yumi joined his hands together in the snake seal, followed by the ox, boar, dog and lastly the snake seal again; the five seals flowed smoothly one after the other. Yumi then slammed his hands on the ground casting the illusion and weaving his web. The ground trembled as the sound of loud hissing assaulted the ears of the homeless man and Yumi. Rushing out of the ground behind Yumi was a massive wave of snakes, hundreds of thousands of them, all kinds. The snakes moved like a tsunami and washed over Yumi crashing down on the man and engulfing him. The man screamed as he was swallowed by the wave of snakes before Yumi cancelled the technique.
Yumi had been practising in solo these Genjutsu techniques of his but didn't have anyone to test them on to see their effectiveness, so far he was happy. Especially when he saw the after effect of his Demonic Illusion: Stream of Serpents. The man was cowering in a ball and sucking his thumb. Yumi didn't give the man time to think as he drew out two kunai, one from each wrist holster, holding them in each hand. With a flick of a wrist, Yumi performed a fake throw only after locking onto the man and triggering the illusion. Two kunai materialised in thin air and flew towards the man, followed up as Yumi threw the real kunai. The man looked up spotting the two knives racing towards him and screamed living his arms to defend his chest, only for the knives to phase through. As he looked up he spotted two more flying at him. The man lowered his arms thinking they were fake only to cry out in pain as they pierced into each shoulder. Blood sprayed out on impact as he stumbled backwards crying tears from the pain.
Yumi snorted and ignored it; the Shadow Throw had been a success. Now it was time for a locust swarm. Yumi threw his arms out in a theatrical manner triggering the illusion. A buzzing was heard as locusts swarmed out from his sleeves consuming everything in their path. The locusts engulfed the training field and a twenty-meter area. The locusts washed over the man making him scream as he was swarmed. Yumi formed the boar seal and followed it with the Bird, tiger and lastly snake. The locusts parted leaving a direct path for the man to spot Yumi's actions. With the path, open Yumi threw his arms out after locking onto his target. As the locusts buzzed, they were soon joined by a swarm of flying scarab beetles they rushed out of Yumi's sleeves. The scarabs scurried towards the man who was trying to get away only to scream as the scarabs consumed him and began eating his flesh. The man screamed under the affect of the illusion before Yumi dispersed it breaking the control.
Yumi made the ram seal then extended his arm pointing a finger at the homeless. The sky went black before a bolt of lightning came crashing down striking the man head-on. The spell was based after another designed to launch a giant fireball on the target. Yumi wasn't done there however as he extends his arms out to the side to test out another experimental genjutsu. Chakra flooded his arms as he locked onto his target the homeless old man. 'Chains' shot out from Yumi's sleeves launching towards the man where they began to coil around him restricting his movements completely. The man screamed as the chains seemed to constrict, he even began begging for mercy but Yumi simply snorted in amusement.Yumi wasn't about to let him go.
