Culture and Lore
Rōen's culture is unknown other than their history of violence. Always hungering for combat and chakra, Rōen is known, throughout history, for devouring villages in order to devour chakra.
History
In the past, Rōen frequently attacked the Howling Wolf Village, killing its villagers by absorbing their chakra. The Kodon clan was able to defeat Rōen by sealing it into their clan's shrine. Time passed and Rōen became a myth.
Decades later, when the Howling Wolf Village began contemplating declaring neutrality, Tenma Kodon released Rōen from the shrine. Using saigenzai to control it, Tenma had Rōen attack the village in order to sway the villagers against neutrality. During the village's defence, however, Tenma lost control of Rōen because of the Kumanoi clan's blue fire powder. He and his wife tried to seal it back into the shrine, but his wife was killed and he could not perform the seal by himself. After failing to seal Rōen into his oldest son, Reishi Kodon, Tenma sealed it into his youngest son, Kina Kodon. Tenma died in the effort, leaving only Reishi to know that Kina contained the monster.
Description
Abilities
Unique Ability: Dark Energy
The host of Rōen has an ability that grants the user Dark Release. The user will be able to create Dark Release jutsu as well as gain all access to the Mikiri Clan Bloodline and Techniques. The user will have full power access to all Dark Release. The also grants the user the ability sense chakra use. The user is capable of sensing the use of chakra, regardless of how miniscule up to:
:: Base Range: 500m
:: Bonded Range: 750m
Chakra Share
Upon entering into a Bond with Rōen, the user will gain a base +100 Chakra to their own pool.
Chakra Access
The first thing Rōen's Master will attempt when trying to gain better control over Rōen is accessing its chakra. Being able to access Rōen's chakra can be very beneficial to it's Master, as it only counts against Rōen when used. The user is initially able to access Rōen's Stamina (S) for one post out of a topic. With more usage, Rōen begins to trust its Master's ability to effectively use its chakra and may allow increased opportunity to wield it, should the user display some level of aptitude. By spending 100 Experience posts, the user can increase this limit by 1 post to a maximum of 5 posts. With Control, this increases to 10 and no maximum when a Bond is formed.
Chakra Recovery
Due to Rōen's hungering for chakra, it will not tolerate letting it's chakra reserves grow low. Due to this, Rōen will enter into a hibernation-state, completely cutting off it's power from it's host, preventing any sort of ability, at all, related to Rōen. Recovery of their chakra occurs at a rate of 10% of Rōen's maximum chakra (round to the nearest 5) per post.
Healing
Rōen's capacity of devouring chakra will rely on it's host's ability to remain alive. Rōen will use it's own chakra to regenerate the wounds inflicted upon their host if they deem the situation threatening enough to warrant interfering. While this may be taxing on Rōen, they will only use this when things are dire and can potentially heal all wounds, even moreso than healing jutsu can offer.
Expenditure
:: 20% Expenditure: By spending 20% (round to the nearest 5) of it's chakra reserves into the host, Rōen can cause all non-lethal wounds to quickly regenerate life force and wounds over the course of a single post.
:: 50% Expenditure: By spending 50% (round to the nearest 5) of it's chakra reserves into the host, Rōen can cause all wounds to quickly regenerate life force and wounds over the course of a single post. Even holes in the body, destroyed organs, and most severed limbs will be regenerated within moments.
:: Full Control: Once Control over Rōen is obtained, the host will no longer need to wait for Rōen to determine the threat of the situation and can activate this ability at will.
Jinchuuriki Mode
Unlike the Bijuu, Rōen does not operate through use of intellect but through instinct and hunger. Due to this, Rōen is particularly difficult to tame and bring to heel, though it had been seen in the past that there are those with sufficient Chakra that could tame this chakra-hungry beast. Doing so grants the user a measure of Rōen's power. Unlike other Tailed Beast Modes, Rōen does not offer stat bonuses.
Initial Version of the Hungering Beast
Cost: 250 EXP to activate this at will
This is a state in which the Rōen’s power slowly leaks over the host body, creating a cloak of black and purple chakra that is clearly visible to the naked eye, but emanates a sort of vile energy that can clearly be felt. The Host's eyes will change to match that of the Rōen's, and the body will be increased slightly. This is a response to extreme stress, when the Host loses control over the emotional state and then Rōen's influence is allowed to seep into the subconscious. Animalistic instincts begin to take over even as the nails and teeth elongate into sharp, pointed ends.
Tapping into Rōen's power, the user's eyes turn an ice blue color while a cloak of dark black and purple chakra surrounds the user. This cloak's chakra is so potent that the chakra could be seen by the naked eye. This cloak is granted when the user is in either extreme stress or hungering for more chakra, letting the beast take over the Host's mental and emotional state, now being completely overwhelmed and overtaken by hunger and instinct. The user is automatically capable of detecting any Genjutsu of C Rank and below, automatically recognizing it. However, unlike standard Bijuu Jinchuuriki Cloak, the user will not have any of the drawbacks.
Access: 100 EXP per post up to 5 Posts Maximum (how long this can be activated), 10 Posts Maximum with Control, no maximum Post duration with Bond.
Version One of the Hungering Beast
Cost: 250 EXP to activate this at will
When the loss of emotional control reaches a point that the Jinchuuriki is not recovering, by either remaining in the Initial Version of the Hungering Beast for 3 posts (or 5 if mastered), or the strain is particularly great, or if Rōen was forced to heal a lethal wound, the chakra cloaking the Host suddenly becomes a bubbling, almost liquid form reminiscent of the Rōen, itself, that coats the host body.
Tapping further into Rōen's power, the user's chakra cloak is now much thicker and much more noxious and amorphous in appearance. This is the stage where the user obtains black tendrils sprouting from their Chakra Cloak. Like Rōen, the user gains 2 prehensile tendrils. These Tendrils span up to 5 meters in length and share the user's modified Constitution and Strength. The user is capable of manipulating objects, wielding weapons, or simply striking with these tendrils with the same Strength as the user. Each Tendril is capable of making an attack dealing the user's Strength in damage, swinging at the user's Coordination. Each tendril is capable of dealing 5 Chakra damage to the target while returning 5 Chakra back to Rōen once per post per tendril. Once the user has reached Bond with Rōen, they are capable of splitting this chakra between themselves and Rōen. The user is automatically capable of detecting any Genjutsu of B Rank and below, automatically recognizing it. However, unlike standard Bijuu Jinchuuriki Cloak, the user will not have any of the drawbacks.
Access: 50 EXP per post up to 5 Posts Maximum (how long this can be activated), 10 Posts Maximum with Control, no maximum Post duration with Bond.
Version Two of the Hungering Beast
Cost: 350 EXP to activate this at will
After undergoing extreme stress, such that emotions run wildly out of control, or after remaining in the Bijuu’s maximum level of Version One for 3 posts (or 5 if mastered), the cloak will condense over the skin and expand into an orb that explodes with extreme pressure. This can create a large crater in the ground and blow away massive trees and boulders and burn anything still standing. This explosion is optional, and has a 50 meter radius, travels at S-Rank speed, and inflicts A-Rank damage. What remains after the explosion is the Jinchuuriki, coated in a chakra cloak not unlike Version One, but of such density that only a dark, crimson shape can be seen, and barely anything of the person underneath. This cloak provides an S-Rank Defense along with complete immunity to piercing. Touching it can cause swift incineration.
The pinnacle of Rōen's power, the user's entire body is now covered in completely black chakra, now taking on a more bestial form. The user will gain the exact same eyes of Rōen with the Chakra Cloak now equaling twice the user's size. The user's 2 tendrils are now increased to 4 Tendrils and are now 10 meters in length. Each tendril is capable of dealing 5 Chakra damage to the target while returning 5 chakra back to Rōen once per post per tendril. Once the user has reached Bond with Rōen, they are capable of splitting the chakra between themselves and Rōen. The user is automatically capable of detecting any Genjutsu of A Rank and below, automatically recognizing it. However, unlike standard Bijuu Jinchuuriki Cloak, the user will not have any of the drawbacks.
Access: 50 EXP per post up to 5 Posts Maximum (how long this can be activated), 10 Posts Maximum with Control, no maximum Post duration with Bond.

Control Fight
- Spoiler:
Control Fight System
The outcome of a Control fight is dictated by a dice role system. This system allows the Host of Rōen to calculate their odds of victory based on both OOC factors meant to demonstrate the effort they've put into developing Rōen and the IC capabilities that they will use to accomplish their goal. The Control Fight is broken up into three rounds with each consisting of a dice roll and resulting consequences. Please note that the survival modifiers from previous rounds stack.
Round 1
:: 000 - 060: Death -- You lost the Control fight against Rōen and it is going to consume all of your chakra. Leave no or pay the ultimate price
:: 061 - 070: Near Defeat -- Rōen has gotten the better of you and you've been critically injured. However, you have decided to press on, despite the enormous risk you face. Proceed to Round 2 with a -5 modifier.
:: 071 - 080: Stalemate -- You've fought the demon to a draw and it has been forced to escalate it's tactics to ensure it's survival and independence. Proceed to Round 2.
:: [color:902a=dark green]081 - 090: Partial Victory -- You've got Rōen on the ropes. Rōen is battered and bruised while you are mostly unscathed. You've even managed to draw out some of it's chakra. Proceed to Round 2 with a +5 modifier.
:: 091 - 097: Near Victory -- Rōen has been critically wounded and is now at a major disadvantage. You have succeeded in drawing out a majority of it's chakra and and the battle looks, as though, it will be decided in your favor. Proceed to Round 2 with a +10 modifier.
:: 098 - 100: Flawless Victory -- You've managed to tame Rōen with a combination of your skill, careful planning, and a little luck. Control achieved!
Round 2
:: 000 - 080: Death -- You lost the Control fight against Rōen and it is going to consume all of your chakra. Leave no or pay the ultimate price
:: 081 - 090: Endgame -- The match has been fought to a stalemate and both you and your opponent's reserves are dwindling. The contest has entered its final phase but only one of you can remain standing. Proceed to Round 3.
:: 091 - 096: True Resolve -- You slowly pull ahead in a battle of attrition. You've managed to draw out even more of the beast's chakra and your victory is likely, but not assured. Proceed to Round 3 with a +20 modifier.
:: 096 - 100: Hard Fought Victory -- After a brutal campaign against Rōen, you have finally secured your destiny. Control achieved!
Round 3
:: 000 - 090: Death -- You lost the Control fight against Rōen and it is going to consume all of your chakra. Leave no or pay the ultimate price
:: 091 - 100: Pyrrhic Victory -- You have finally tamed Rōen, but at what cost? Control has been achieved, but you'll need a physical/psychological recovery period of 1 OOC month to get back on your feet and use the benefits of Control.
Bond
Cost: 3000 EXP
Before the user reaches Bond, they are required to have Control. The Bond is a form of mutual understand and friendship that can only occur with time and effort. Once formed (spending the above mentioned EXP), the Bond will allow the user to have an infinite amount of rounds within the Jinchuuriki Mode.
The Hungering Seal
While similar to the Bijuu seal, the person that Rōen is sealed into must first have a sufficient amount of chakra to feed the wild beast's hunger for chakra. Upon being sealed, regardless of who placed the seal, it will turn into the Hungering Seal upon the recipient. A user with Fuuinjutsu is capable of sealing Rōen within the recipient and must be placed upon the recipient IC. Due to Rōen hating to be restrained, it will make all attempts to break out of this seal.
Breaking the seal is a long process that involves forcing the demonic chakra through the seal and into the host, steadily weakening the seal in the process until it finally breaks. All Fuuinjutsu that contained Tailed Beasts are inherently linked to the Host's will, such that when the host is strong and sound of mind, there may well be no chakra leakage at all, but in cases when the Host is gravely wounded or near death where that will faults, Rōen will be able to force it's chakra out. This often occurs when the host is wounded and the chakra induces healing, or when the host suffers from emotional trauma that might unleash one of the Versions of the Hungering Beast. Of course, at any point, the host can mentally undo the seal and release Rōen that way. This will still kill the host, however.
Each seal is given a point value based on its rank. These points represent the remaining life of the seal, and when they are depleted, the Host is killed and Rōen is released. The point values are as follows:
:: E-Rank: 25
:: D-Rank: 50
:: C-Rank: 100
:: B-Rank: 150
:: A-Rank: 300
:: S-Rank: 500
Using Rōen's abilities mentioned on this page will reduce those points, so it is suggested that the highest ranking seal available be used and that the Host take great care in accessing any demonic power. The points lost for each post that an ability is used are listed below:
:: Unique Ability: 1 [Elemental Ninjutsu Rank Reductions UAs Do Not Damage Seals If the User Has the Element Prior to Gaining the Bijuu]
:: Chakra Access: 5
:: Minor Healing: 10
:: Major Healing: 20
:: Initial Jinchuuriki Mode: 10
:: Version One: 15
:: Version Two: 25
Gaining Control over Rōen's chakra will allow the Host to utilize it in a more secure manner, though because Rōen does not wish to work alongside the Host, its chakra is still toxic to the seal. Once Control is gained, the above point reduction values are all reduced by 5.
Once a Bond is formed, Rōen will no longer use its chakra to deteriorate the seal. For those not quite so progressed with Rōen, however, there is a way to reinforce the seal. Seals that contain Tailed Beasts can be learned by any that possess the Fuuinjutsu Skill, but when created, can only be as strong in Rank as the Tier of the creator's Intelligence. The same is true of reinforcement; one with the Fuuinjutsu Skill can reinforce a seal but only if one's Intelligence is equal to or higher than the Rank of the seal.
A seal that is reinforced regains some of its power, thereby extending the life of the host while allowing for further use of Rōen's abilities. However, a seal cannot be made new, no matter how hard a Fuuinjutsu user may try. Every time a seal is reinforced, it is restored to exactly 25 points less than the previous maximum point value. So, if a B-Rank seal is reinforced, it will be brought back up to 125 points. If it's reinforced again, it'll be restored to 100 points, and so on until the seal cannot be reinforced any longer.

Re: Roen
Posting this on Tengoku's behalf
Rōen Personality Roen was an ancient creature. Born of hunger. Hunger for war...hunger for power....Hunger for more. Humanities hunger for all things had to eventually gather. Forming into a being as old as recorded time. At first it was but a cub that could never satiate itself. In mankind's youth they had little to yearn for. Perhaps back then it may have been possible to quell him. To banish him like an evil spirit. But man was not threatened by such a small power. Leave it to its woods. Over time though mankind grew. They coveted what others had and competed over silly things like money. Yet their hunger for it all grew in turn. As it grew so too did the wolf. When Chakra was introduced to mankind it eventually made its way to Roen. After the ten tails had been split and the Bijuu sealed chakra found Roen. And a ravenous Roen consumed the man. Finding its hunger fed by this chakra it began to run rampant. Driven by hunger it at its fill of people....finally slumbering after the chaos he wrought. There in his slumber the remaining villagers sealed him away. Locking him as a secret and naming the land....the land of wolves. Roen himself is old. He finds humans tiresome and indirect. Never getting to the point. Chatter for sake of filling space with noise is bothersome when he could be napping. Roen himself is a lazy creature. With no fear for the passage of time he yearns for little else than to feed his belly. Food comes to him and the hunger is endless anyway. More often than not he will prefer to nap than to actually attack people within his territory so long as they are respectful. However Roen is a wolf and therefore is protective of what he considers his. To disrespect his territory is to invite violence. He is quick to snap when bothered and quicker to kill when disrespected. However beneath it all is a seething endless pit. Almost a pain in his stomach of an endless depth. A hole to steal all the chakra he can eat. It is his primary goal in a fight to consume it all. However the idea of a host doesn't seem all too bad....yet Roen won't bow before anyone easily. They ask things of him and it too is a bother from his naps. To be worthy of being more important than his naps would require an impressive person. Culture and Lore Rōen's culture is unknown other than their history of violence. Rōen's Stats

Constitution: S | Quaternary
Stamina: S++
Speed: S | Primary
Coordination: S | Secondary
Intelligence: A
Perception: S | Tertiary
Unique Abilities
:: Dark Energy: The host of Rōen has the ability to manipulate Dark Release.
:: Chakra Scent: Everyone who uses chakra leave a scent for Rōen and it's host to be able to smell. The user is capable of accurately picking up on a scent, no matter how miniscule as long as chakra was used. This would leave a scent-signature that Rōen and it's host can follow. The user is capable of accurately pointing out where chakra is used with it's range varying.
- Base Range: 500m
- With Control: 750m
- With Bond: 1000m
At Control: Once sensed, this will also give the user an accurate depiction to how big the target's chakra pool is, but cannot differentiate between the different chakra pools.
At Bond: The user is capable of differentiating the differences between chakra pools -- to include if the target has accumulated Senjutsu Chakra or if the target has a Bijuu providing them with chakra.
The Hungering Seal
- Spoiler:
In order to become a Jinchuuriki, the character must first have a Fuuinjutsu technique (or a Fuuinjutsu user) capable of sealing Rōen into their body created.
Seal Creation
These Seals will be created, custom-wise, like any other Custom Jutsu. Each Technique will describe it's own sealing process, as they can be very similar or completely different. All generally result in Rōen being entirely contained within the new Jinchuuriki's body. Regardless of the seal used, it will instantly convert into the Hungering Seal -- The conversion, of which, causes an immense amount of pain into the host.
If the Jinchuuriki wishes, they can have a higher ranking seal placed upon them by another Player Character. Afterwards, this must be claimed in their update. This Fuuinjutsu is then the only thing keeping Rōen locked within the host's body and is also what binds the Jinchuuriki's life to Rōen's.
Seal Integrity
Each seal is given a point value based on it's rank. These points represent the remaining Integrity of the seal. Once the Integrity reaches 0, the Jinchuuriki is killed and Rōen is released.
:: E-Rank Seal Integrity: 025 Seal Integrity
:: D-Rank Seal Integrity: 050 Seal Integrity
:: C-Rank Seal Integrity: 100 Seal Integrity
:: B-Rank Seal Integrity: 150 Seal Integrity
:: A-Rank Seal Integrity: 300 Seal Integrity
:: S-Rank Seal Integrity: 500 Seal Integrity
Breaking the Seal
This is a long process that involves forcing demonic chakra through the seal and onto the host. This will steadily (or with a weak seal: quite rapidly) weaken the seal integrity until it finally reaches 0 Seal Integrity -- which will cause the Seal to break. All Fuuinjutsu that contained the Tailed Beasts are inherently linked to the Jinchuuriki's will, such that -- when the host is strong and sound of mind, there may be no chakra leakage at all. In the cases when the Jinchuuriki is wounded or near-death, which may cause the user's will to falter, Rōen will be able to force it's chakra out. This often occurs when the host is wounded and the chakra forces the Bijuu to heal the Jinchuuriki or if the Jinchuuriki suffers from emotional trauma that might unleash one of the Jinchuuriki's Forms.
Using the following will reduce the Seal Integrity:
:: -01 Seal Integrity: Using Rōen's Unique Ability
:: -05 Seal Integrity: Accessing Rōen's Chakra
:: -10 Seal Integrity: Rōen is forced to use Minor Healing
:: -10 Seal Integrity: Entering Initial Jinchuuriki Mode
:: -15 Seal Integrity: Entering Version One Jinchuuriki Mode
:: -15 Seal Integrity: Entering Chakra Mode
:: -20 Seal Integrity: Bijuu is forced to use Major Healing
:: -25 Seal Integrity: Entering Version Two Jinchuuriki Mode
:: -30 Seal Integrity: Entering Tailed Beast Mode
Reinforcing a Seal
A seal that is reinforced regains some of it's power -- thereby extending the life of the host while allowing for further use of Rōen's abilities. However, a seal CANNOT be made new, no matter how hard the Fuuinjutsu user may try.
:: Every time it is reinforced, it is restored to exactly -25 Seal Integrity less than the previous maximum point value. (If a B Rank Seal -- 150 Seal Integrity) is reinforced, it will be brought up to 125 Seal Integrity. If it's reinforced again, it will be brought up to 100 Seal Integrity and so-on until the seal cannot be reinforced any longer (0 Seal Integrity)
Broken Seal
When the seal is broken, the Jinchuuriki will die and Rōen will be released into the wild. This is normally instant, but with higher levels of base Constitution, the Jinchuuriki is better able to delay the effects.
:: Constitution: B: The Jinchuuriki may delay this up to 10 Posts, but is rendered unconscious
:: Constitution: A: The Jinchuuriki may delay this up to 10 Posts, but will remain conscious, but unable to fight
:: Constitution: S: The Jinchuuriki may delay this up to 15 Posts and suffer only a single tier reduction to all Physical Stats.
Gaining Control
Upon winning your Control Fight against Rōen, (explained later), the Jinchuuriki will be allowed a more secure means of using Rōen's Power without wearing down the Integrity of the Seal. Rōen does not wish to work alongside the Jinchuuriki as the Chakra is still toxic to the seal.
:: Effect: The above items that reduce Seal Integrity are lowered by 5.
Gaining Bond
Once you have formed a Bond with Rōen, Rōen will no longer use it's Chakra to deteriorate the seal.
:: Effect: There is no longer any degradation to Seal Integrity.
Rōen Control
- Spoiler:
Whenever a Jinchuuriki feels that they've reached a point in their journey that full-manipulation of Rōen's power is needed, they may challenge Rōen in Combat. This battle will take place in the mind, with the battlefield set as whatever that specific Jinchuuriki's mental-scape is (entirely up to the user what the mental-scape is -- Naruto's was a basement level factory)
During this battle, the Jinchuuriki will have access to none of Rōen's power, and in most cases, will be fighting Rōen at full strength, one-on-one. The true meaning of this battle is drawing out Rōen's chakra and containing it within the host -- a task that is left entirely to the Jinchuuriki.
Who May Join
:: Those that possess the Sharingan
:: Other Jinchuuriki who can enter the mind
:: Any who have implanted their chakra within the seal, itself
:: Those who possess a technique that permits entry
These people may only join for the first 2 rounds. Afterwards, they are forced out of the Mental Scape and returned to the real world instantly -- leaving the Jinchuuriki to fight alone for the third and final round.
Control Fight System
The outcome of a Control Fight is based on a dice-roll system (similar to Implantation System). This system allows the Jinchuuriki to calculate their odds of victory based on both OOC factors, meant to demonstrate the effort they've put into developing Rōen and the IC capabilities that they will use to accomplish their goal. The Control Fight is broken up into 3 rounds -- with each consisting of a Dice Roll plus any modifiers.Initiating a Control Fight
- Modifiers:
Modifiers are rolled added/subtracted from a 1d100 roll. So if someone has a +60, it will be rolled as 1d100+60
:: +20 Modifier: The Jinchuuriki is X-Class. Does not stack with S-Class Modifier.
:: +20 Modifier: Additional KKG. If the Jinchuuriki possesses an additional KKG, beyond what you started with, you gain this modifier. Does not stack with Dual-KKG Restricted.
:: +10 Modifier: The Jinchuuriki is S-Class Does not stack with X-Class Modifier
:: +10 Modifier: If the user possesses an Enhanced State Restricted, that is maxed out (EXP-wise). If the user doesn't have an Enhanced State but one of their Party Members do, this will count -- only once.
:: +10: Modifier: If the user possesses a Restricted Technique, that is maxed out (EXP-wise). If the user doesn't have a Restricted Technique, but one of their Party Members do, this will counter -- only once.
:: +10 Modifier: X Rank Item/Artifact. If the user possesses one or more X-Rank item or S-Rank or higher Artifact.
:: +10 Modifier: Personality/Lore. Writing a comprehensive history, personality, relationship with the current host, and other trivia will demonstrate your investment in the entity beyond power.
:: +10 Modifier: Preparation Post. If you write up an 8,000 Word Count RP Training (this can be psychological, social, or physical), the user may gain this bonus. However, the words must be your own total if you are roleplaying with another.
:: +2 Modifier each: Exclusive Techniques. If the user possesses an Exclusive Technique that is maxed out (EXP-Wise). This can be stacked up to 5 times for a maximum of +10 Modifier.
:: +Varies: Party Members. The Jinchuuriki may bring in party members into the Control Fight (those allowed listed above). The amount varies depending on the Class of the Party Member.
- +4 Modifier each: For X-Class Party Members
- +3 Modifier each: For S-Class Party Members
- +2 Modifier each: For A-Class Party Members
The user may only gain up to +10 Modifier maximum. Teammates can be a huge help as they can also grant a big boost to those that were unprepared, capable of teammates granting the user a bonus for Restricteds (stated above).
:: -4 Modifier: This is a Roen specific modifier based upon it's veracious appetite and extremely hostile tendencies.
Initiating a Control Fight will cause the Seal Integrity to deteriorate. This will damage the Seal Integrity by -1 Seal Integrity per round.
Interrupting a Control Fight
The fight can be interrupted by an outside third-party, through a variety of means, by some canon and other custom jutsu. Interruption is defined as ending the match between the Bijuu and it's host before one of them wins. This requires the Jinchuuriki to be forcibly pulled from the Mental Scape.
Every time the fight is interrupted, the Seal Integrity takes -50 Seal Integrity damage.
:: First Interruption: The Jinchuuriki must wait 4 IRL weeks before they can access any of their Bijuu's chakra
:: Second Interruption: The period is increased to 4 IRL months
:: Third Interruption: The period returns to 4 IRL weeks -- with each subsequent interruption alternating between 4 IRL months and weeks.
This also means the Jinchuuriki cannot initiate another Control Fight for that time.
- Round 1:
:: 000 - 060: DEATH. You have lost the Control Fight. Rōen escapes and is now running amok.

:: 081 - 090: PARTIAL VICTORY. You've got the monster on the run. Rōen is battered and bruised while you are mostly unscathed. You've managed to draw out some of it's chakra.
Proceed to Round 2 with a +5 Modifier
:: 091 - 097: NEAR VICTORY. Rōen has been critically wounded and is now at a major disadvantage. You have succeeded in drawing out a majority of it's chakra and the battle looks as though it will be decided in your favor.

Return to Character Creation
:: 081 - 090: ENDGAME. The match has been fought to a stalemate and both you and your opponent reserves are dwindling. The contest has entered it's final phase, but only one will remain standing.
Proceed to Round 3
:: 091 - 096: TRUE RESOLVE. You slowly pull ahead in a battle of attrition. You've managed to draw out even more of the beast's chakra and your victory is likely -- not not assured.
Proceed to Round 3 with a +20 Modifier
:: 096 +: HARD-FOUGHT VICTORY. After a brutal campaign against Rōen, you have finally secured your destiny.
CONTROL ACHIEVED! CONGRATULATIONS!
- Round 3:
You carry on the same modifiers, but now you gain additional modifiers due to the result of the last round. If you have rolled Death or Hard-Fought Victory -- do not proceed, you are done with the fight. Everyone else -- Proceed.
:: 000 - 090: DEATH. You have lost the Control Fight. Rōen escapes and is now running amok.
Return to Character Creation
:: 091 +: BITTERSWEET. You have finally taken down Rōen, but at tremendous cost.
CONTROL ACHIEVED! REQUIRES 1 OOC MONTH OF PHYSICAL/PSYCHOLOGICAL RECOVERY TIME BEFORE YOU RETURN TO YOUR NORMAL SELF. MAY NOT USE THE BENEFITS OF CONTROL UNTIL AFTER RECOVERY TIME.
Rōen Bond
- Spoiler:
How to Obtain Bond
The Bond is a form of mutual understanding and friendly that only occurs with time and effort. This is represented by the EXP that the user has invested into the Bijuu Power. The user must have achieved Control over Rōen, first and foremost. Then the user must have spent, at least, 3000 EXP invested into Rōen (+100 EXP per tail of that Bijuu). This is considered a "running total" based on how far the Jinchuuriki has progressed.
Bond Has Formed
Once Bond is formed, the Bond initiates the Cloak-level of Chakra Mode and eliminates nearly all downsides to being possessed -- Rōen no longer wishes to harm the body when using Version One and Version Two forms. It freely works to allow the host to manipulate it's vast power in as little as accessing it's chakra supply or as much as fully utilizing the Tailed Beast Mode. Rōen no longer makes any effort to escape, removing the strain and damage caused on the seal when using Rōen related abilities and forms.
Rōen Bonuses
- Spoiler:
Chakra Boost
- Spoiler:
The Jinchuuriki's chakra pool is instantly increased by +100 CP
Chakra Access
- Spoiler:
The first thing a Jinchuuriki will attempt, when trying to gain better control over their beast within, is accessing it's chakra. Rōen has a sizeable pool of Stamina that is usually higher than the Jinchuuriki's and only counts against Rōen when used.
Gaining access to Rōen's chakra usually begins with pleading with Rōen to use it's power, whether to accomplish some task or to win some fight. Rōen naturally wish to preserve themselves and will usually bestow their power when it appears necessary to ensure the survival of their Jinchuuriki.
A Jinchuuriki, at start, is only capable of accessing Rōen's chakra for a single post within the entire topic. With more usage, Rōen begins to trust the Jinchuuriki's ability to effectively use it's chakra and may allowed increased opportunity to wield it, should the Jinchuuriki display some level of aptitude.
No Control/Bond
May only access Rōen's chakra for 1 post in a topic.
For 100 EXP, a Jinchuuriki may increase this limit by +1 Post per topic to a maximum of 5 Posts per topic (+400 EXP total)
:: Deals -5 Seal Integrity damage
With Control
This limit is increased to 10 Posts per topic (+500 EXP total)
:: Deals -0 Seal Integrity damage
:: User gains a bonus +50 CP to their own pool
With Bond
This limit is increased to 20 Posts per topic (+1000 EXP total)
:: User gains a bonus +100 CP to their own pool
Chakra Recovery
- Spoiler:
If the Jinchuuriki manages to use up all (or most) of Rōen's Chakra, Rōen will enter into a focused meditation devoted to regaining it's reserves. This is a time when Rōen's power will be completely cut-off from the host, preventing any sort of ability, related to Rōen, from being used. This includes Rōen's UAs.
:: Recovery occurs at a rate of +10% of Rōen's Max Chakra per post.
Rōen Healing
- Spoiler:
For the sake of self-preservation, Rōen will use their chakra to regenerate wounds inflicted upon their Jinchuuriki if Rōen deems the situation life-threatening to the Jinchuuriki. This can be quite taxing on Rōen, which is why it is rarely used, but it can potentially heal all wounds, even those that no other technique might be able to do.
:: Minor Healing: Costs 20% of Rōen's Max Chakra and deals -10 Seal Integrity Damage/-5 Seal Integrity Damage @ Control. Rōen can cause all non-lethal wounds to progressively recover over the course of a single post.
:: Major Healing: Costs 50% of Rōen's Max Chakra and deals -20 Seal Integrity damage/-15 Seal Integrity Damage @ Control. Rōen can cause all wounds to progressively recover over the course of a single post. This includes holes in the body and destroyed organs -- all regenerating in the matter of moments.
Control
Once Control is gained, the Jinchuuriki will no longer need to wait for Rōen to determine the threat of the situation and can activate the ability at will.
Jinchuuriki Modes
Unlike other Tailed Beasts, Rōen hungers and is thus selfish when it grants people power. Due to this, none of the modes granted by Rōen offers any Unique Boosts.
- Spoiler:
Initial Jinchuuriki Mode
Deals 10 Seal Integrity damage. Deals 5 Seal Integrity damage with Control
This is a state in which Rōen's power slowly leaks over the host's body, creating a cloak of red chakra (that is invisible to the naked eye) and emanates some sort of vile energy that can clearly be felt. The Jinchuuriki's eyes will change to match that of Rōen's and the body will be increased slightly. This is a response to extreme stress, when the Jinchuuriki loses control over their emotional state, and Rōen's influence is allowed to seep into the subconscious. Animalistic instincts begin to take over, even as the nails and teeth elongate into sharp pointed ends.
User gains:
:: User may now auto-identify any genjutsu they are trapped in
Cost to Master: 250 EXP -- Allowing this to be activated at will
Cost for Duration: 100 EXP per post to a maximum of 5 posts activated. 10 Posts maximum with control. No maximum with Bond. This cost is to allow the user to remain in this mode. If the user pays 500 EXP, they can remain in this mode for 5 posts.
Version One
Deals 15 Seal Integrity damage. Deals 10 Seal Integrity damage with Control
When the loss of emotional control reaches a point that the Jinchuuriki is not recovering, by either:
:: Remaining in the Initial Jinchuuriki Mode for 3 Posts (5 Posts if mastered)
:: The strain is particularly great
:: If Rōen was forced to use Major Healing
The Chakra cloaking the Jinchuuriki suddenly becomes visible and takes on a bubbling, almost liquid form reminiscent of Rōen, itself, that coats the Host's body.
Tapping further into Rōen's power, the user's chakra cloak is now much thicker and much more noxious and amorphous in appearance. This is the stage where the user obtains black tendrils sprouting from their Chakra Cloak. Like Rōen, the user gains 2 prehensile tendrils.
User gains:
:: User may now auto-identify any genjutsu they are trapped in
:: User gains 2 Tentacles, each being 5 meters long and have Rōen's Constitution and Coordination. The tentacles are capable of manipulating objects, wielding weapons, or simply striking targets with the tentacle itself. Upon touching a tentacle, it deals 5 Chakra damage and feeding it directly into Rōen's chakra once per tentacle per post.
Additional Access
While in Version One, the user gains access to:
:: Tailed Beast Chakra Arm
:: Tailed Beast Shockwave
An additional ability, unique to Version One, is the self-sufficiency of the cloak. Because the cloak is not condensed around the user -- as in Version Two -- and is of sufficient potency to take a physical form. Unlike Initial Jinchuuriki Mode, Version One's cloak can act of it's own accord, moving separate from the user to confuse the enmy by thinking two attacks are happening at once. This confusion reduces the Perception of the enemy by 1 Tier and has been known to scramble the Sharingan's, once-thought flawless powers of prediction.
Cost to Master: 250 EXP -- Masters a tail in this state. Allow activation at will.
Cost for Duration: 50 EXP per post up to 5 Posts maximum. 10 Posts maximum with Control. No maximum with Bond
Version Two
Deals 25 Seal Integrity damage. Deals 20 Seal Integrity damage with Control
After undergoing extreme stress, such as:
:: Emotions running wildly out of control
:: Remaining in Version One for 3 Posts (5 if Mastered)
The user's 2 tendrils are now increased to 4.
User gains:
:: User may now auto-identify any genjutsu they are trapped in
:: User gains 4 Tentacles, each being 10 meters long and have Rōen's Constitution and Coordination. The tentacles are capable of manipulating objects, wielding weapons, or simply striking targets with the tentacle itself. Upon touching a tentacle, it deals 5 Chakra damage and feeding it directly into Rōen's chakra once per tentacle per post.
While in Version Two, a Jinchuuriki will gain access to:
:: Tailed Beast Ball -- But can only use a Partial A-Rank version of it. It still deals great damage and can be fired in the same ways as the large one: as an explosive sphere or a destructive beam.
Cost to Master: 350 EXP per tail you wish to master.
Cost for Duration: 50 EXP per post up to 5 Posts. 10 Posts with Control. No Limit with a Bond.
Tailed Beast Modes
- Spoiler:
This is, arguably, the most powerful ability of a Jinchuuriki. The Jinchuuriki is able to use Rōen's power to recreate it as a perfect replica, potentially, with full access to Rōen's original power. This is incredibly difficult to master and takes great time and practice. Once, in any of the following transformations, the Jinchuuriki can gain access to the fully powered Tailed Beast Ball.
Initial Transformation
Cost: 0 EXP
Requirements: Mastered Initial Jinchuuriki Mode, Mastered Version One, Mastered Version Two
The Transformation is similar to a Combination Transformation technique performed with a giant summon. Rōen is created in perfect form, but it's power is not yet fully accessible. For each post this is used, 15 CP is deducted from Rōen's chakra. If the Jinchuuriki attempts to use this without mastering the required forms, the transformation will fail and the Jinchuuriki will become a comical miniature version of Rōen that has the same stats as the Jinchuuriki at base.
Effect: -3 Tiers to all Rōen's stats
Partial Transformation
Cost: 250 EXP
Requirement: Same as Initial Transformation
Now a considerable amount of Rōen is beginning to project into the Transformation as the Jinchuuriki becomes more accustomed to properly siphoning that power. Initial Transformation will cost 15% of Rōen's chakra per post. Using Partial Transformation costs 15 CP per post and the Jinchuuriki must have activated the Initial at least 10 different times over 10 topics.
Effect: -2 Tiers to all Rōen's stats
Advanced Transformation
Cost: 250 EXP
Requirements: Partial Transformation and Control
The Jinchuuriki is now near the full might of their Bijuu. Advanced Transformation costs 20 CP per post
Effect: -1 Tier to all Rōen's stats
Complete Transformation
Cost: 250 EXP
Requirements: Advanced Transformation
After having used Advanced 20 times over 20 different topics, the Jinchuuriki may now use the full might of Rōen. Complete Transformation costs 25 CP per post
Effect: User now uses all of Rōen's stats.
Master Transformation
Cost: 250 EXP
Requirements: Complete Transformation and Bond
Does not provide any increase to the power of the Tailed Beast Mode, but it does allow the user to gain access to 6 tentacles, each 150m in length. Each tentacle is capable of sapping 5 chakra from a target with this doubling to 10 when used upon another Bijuu (whether it is freed or a Jinchuuriki in Tailed Beast Mode).
Chakra Modes
- Spoiler:
Chakra Mode is the state a Jinchuuriki enters when they decide to use Rōen's chakra, in full, and apply it to their bodies. This can happen when the Jinchuuriki has acquired Control over Rōen's Chakra and can quickly burn up the seal, making it very difficult to use with weaker seals. This cloak takes on a flaming appearance with color varying by Jinchuuriki and Rōen, as just like one's chakra is colored by one's unique Yin-Yang energy balance -- so too -- is the Chakra mode colored by the unique balance between Rōen and Host. There are different levels for this mode based on general Rōen mastery and use of this ability.
Effect: Chakra Mode provides an S++ Rank Defense
Shroud
Cost: 0 EXP
Requirements: Control
The Jinchuuriki's Chakra mode appears as a simple shroud of flame-like chakra coating the body and clothing. This takes on the shape of the host with the sole addition of sealing patterns based on the specific Fuuinjutsu used to contain Rōen. This level can use all Tailed Beast abilities, save only for the full-sized Tailed Beast Ball, though it can still make use of the smaller A-Rank variant.
Effect:
:: The user gains access to 4 Tentacles, each being 10m long and absorb 5 Chakra upon touching a target. Each tentacle may only touch a target and drain their chakra once per post. This chakra is given to Rōen.
:: The user has an area of 5 meters around them that, if anyone steps into that area, will drain 5 Chakra from them as long as they remain in the area. This chakra is given to Rōen.
Chakra Cost: 30 CP per post from the Jinchuuriki
Cloak
Cost: 0 EXP
Requirements: Bond
The coating of Chakra Mode enhances to form it's own cloak-like appearance, covering the Jinchuuriki in an extra set of clothing made entirely from the energy of Rōen. The seal markings present in the Shroud-Level enchances and spread further and the eyes change to resemble that of Rōen's.
Effect
:: Same effect as Shroud, except the chakra drained from the tentacles and the area may be given to either the Jinchuuriki or Rōen (user decides upon using).
Chakra Cost: 30 CP per post from Rōen's chakra
Unity
Cost: 500 EXP
Requirements: Shroud and Cloak unlocked
The Jinchuuriki and Rōen become accustomed to unifying their energies and are able to synchronize on a far higher level than before. Rather than shelving their own chakra, Jinchuuriki are able to combine and enhance it with their Rōen's chakra, using the impressive potency of the demonic chakra to bolster their own reserves.
Effect
:: No longer does Rōen's Stamina stat replace the Jinchuuriki's. The Jinchuuriki's and Rōen's Stamina Pool (CP) are added together for this purpose.
Chakra Cost: 30 CP per post from the combined chakra
Mastery
Cost: 500 EXP
Requirements: Unity unlocked
So much experience has the Jinchuuriki gained in using the Rōen's chakra that they can manipulate each other's energies as their own. The Jinchuuriki can now use chakra to enter into the Tailed Beast Mode, standing amidst the head or within the arms, hands, feet, or tails behind a veil of translucent (but very solid) Rōen energy. It will appear just as Rōen does, but with the same color and seal pattern as are present in the Chakra Mode and, should the Jinchuuriki have reached the Master Level of Tailed Beast Mode, they can partially form parts of Rōen out of chakra -- without the need to actually change their own bodies. The Jinchuuriki has the ability to project Tailed Beast Mode beyond their body. It drains chakra at it's own cost, in conjunction with whatever the Jinchuuriki uses, but Rōen can fight as a summon would -- separate from it's host and with it's full power. The actual power of this level is determined by the level of Tailed Beast Mode that the Jinchuuriki has acquired.
Other Information
- Spoiler:
Killing Rōen
It is not normally possible to kill Rōen when it is outside of it's host. This means that the death of the host is the most common way to end Rōen's life. When the host dies, by any means other than the seal breaking, Rōen will also die. When Rōen dies, it's body decays over several days until nothing is left and the chakra composing it's form scatters around the continent. This chakra will eventually reform, giving new life to Rōen -- but the time it takes can vary greatly by the method of it's death, the environment in which it died, and overall power of Rōen -- Denoted by it's number of tails. Most takes months, but some can take years.
Rōen and Genjutsu
Rōen can be affected by a Genjutsu, however, due to their naturally high INT and PER, it may be very difficult to catch them in one -- even when not sealed in a host. When they are sealed, however, Rōen can only be affected by Genjutsu cast through the eyes, typically via a Doujutsu (most often through the Sharingan). The effects of the Genjutsu on Rōen are generally specified by the Illusion, but are typically minor because Rōen is naturally strong-willed.
It is through special Genjutsu that Rōen are manipulated, and again, usually by the Sharingan. However, their strong-will will resist this control and, while they may not be capable of breaking the control immediately on their own, they can fail to perform certain orders issued to them -- if those orders go against their nature. ((Rōen is normally destructive and hateful of humanity will not follow an order to help people rebuild)). Rōen will not obey an order that will lead to their sealing or death. Forcing them to fight, destroy, and kill is typically very easy.
When a Genjutsu affects the host of Rōen, Rōen does have the ability to cast Genjutsu: Kai on the Jinchuuriki to dispel it. However, Rōen don't care enough to do this and, unless the Genjutsu is a direct threat to the life of Rōen, it will generally neglect to lend any aid. When a Bond is formed, however, Rōen may actively work to keep the Jinchuuriki free of any illusions -- such that, in order to affect a Jinchuuriki with a Genjutsu, one will likely have to affect Rōen with one as well. Rōen casting Genjutsu: Kai does not heal nor cancel any psychological damage that is incurred as the result of the host falling under the use of Genjutsu.

Re: Roen
Apping personality by way of Tengoku
Roen was an ancient creature.
