The box.
The puzzle box.
Diana did not like this puzzle box.
Sitting at one of the many outdoor tables of Iwatomics, an old vinyl record of some piano music that gave her a feeling of nostalgia and days long gone played in the background as a clone of Diana looked at the box. Diana Prime was currently transformed into Nue and seeing just how long she could hold the form before she needed to de-transform, laying down nearby also looking at the box. She had been trying to open this box for weeks now, starting by trying to actually solve it before turning to the power of science to try and decipher how to open it.
At first, she tried the normal methods to check and see if there was any anti-tampering mechanisms, and when that failed, she had...she had turned to the same devices she had used to make sure Adam was okay, as those were more sophisticated. Nothing came up, as whatever this box was made of was not letting her look through it's contents. She could tell that there was Fuinjutsu, likely meaning it was a barrier of some kind, so hiring out a Hyuuga wouldn't have done much, but still. Negative Sensory, Nature Sensory, and Chakra Sensory gave nothing off either, so that was good at least.
Why make a puzzle box this complicated? Just who was this thing for?
The clone continued to stare at the box, the crackling of the old plastic disk would keep her calm. The thought of trying to brute force the box open was tempting, they had the Muramatsu, but none of them could really use Dust Release, at least none with enough proficiency to be delicate about it. She had had multiple Iwatomics members try to give their own thoughts on how to open the box, but none had any good ideas either.
She'd tap the Shichiseiken's pommel as she held the blade, Diana prime watching with some uncertainty. With Tadara out of the village scouting, Diana having received the messenger birds letting her know the locations of Fang; Mountain; and Rain's Villages, she figured he'd be onto Grass next before either coming back or doing more scouting, she really didn't know which yet.
Grumbling, the clone would get up as the record player reached the end of the vinyl and reset the needle. She may have all the time in the world, but Okane didn't.
Just what was it that she was missing?
