Burning Fire Within

Son'Rei would enter the stone yard with a fiery passion burning within him, for too long he had been idle and now he was going to push himself to further his training. Having stopped by the library on the way to the training area, Son'Rei had picked up multiple scrolls of different Katon and Futon techniques. He knew he needed to train more Shakuton techniques as well, however since it had been so long since he had practiced any of his techniques it was likely safer for both him and the training area that he started with some more basic techniques just to get the blood flowing again. Finding a nice open area away from the different equipment and other things that the training area offered, Son'Rei would sit the large amount of scrolls down in a pile on the ground. Doing his best to keep the pile of scrolls together in the pile and not letting them roll away all over the place before finally picking up one of the scrolls and unfurling it. Slightly disappointed that it was a futon technique within the scroll, he had hoped to start with something easy and while he was capable of using Futon it was much harder for him than Katon. Fire was like second nature to him, he didn't expend too much chakra with them and he could pick it up faster, where as it took him twice as long to learn a futon technique and more chakra then he thought the technique should take. Still, he had come here to practice and that was just what he was going to do. Studying the scroll for several minutes before finally sitting it down, still unfurled, so that he could attempt the technique for the first time. Even following the instructions of the scroll step by step it would take Son'Rei several attempts before he finally managed to pull the technique off and was satisfied with the result. Waving his hand through the air as he concentrated his chakra to create a large blade of wind one more time just to ensure that he got it before stepping back and rolling up the scroll and putting it off to the side as he grabbed another from the pile to train another technique.

Grabbing the next scroll and unfurling it, Son'Rei would be surprised that it was actually a non-elemental technique. Realizing that he must have grabbed a couple of them from library when he had grabbed the others, unfortunately this one was less of a technique that he could actually practice as it required him to be in a Genjutsu. Though in theory the technique was simple enough, whether or not it would be as simple in practice was another matter all together. He could practice Genjutsu Kai all day, and without him actually being under a Genjutsu at the time, he would not truly know if he could break out of the technique or not. It would be a crap shoot for him, but either way he would spend several minutes pouring over the scroll before finally rolling it back up. He wouldn't say he mastered the technique, but he believed he understood enough of it that if he ever did happen to get trapped in a Genjutsu he should be able to break free of it.

Trained C-Rank Technique ~ Genjutsu Kai (150/150)

Son'Rei would smile as he unfurled the third scroll to find a Katon technique, the only thought in his head was finally. Katon was easy enough for him to learn, surprisingly even easier than his Shakuton. Though both the elements were easier to learn and use compared to Futon, he seemed capable of picking up on the Katon techs easier than his scorch techs. Reading over the scroll a few times before forming the hand seals and creating two balls of fire in his hands, Son'Rei would launch them into the air causing them to explode in brilliant fire.

Unfurling the next scroll, Son'Rei was more than happy to see that it was another Katon technique. Hoping that he would be able to pick it up just as fast as he had learned the last one, Son'Rei would quickly review the scroll seeing that there were two different versions of the technique. As he sat the scroll down he began forming hand seals to use the first version of the technique and no sooner that he finished it he would attempt the version two of the technique. Once Son'Rei was satisfied with both versions, he would roll up the scroll and sit it in the newly formed pile of techniques that he had finished with.

Trained C-Rank Technique ~ Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique (75/75) (WC for Fire Techs halved due to UA)

Son'Rei's happiness with his training would fade slightly as he unfurled the next scroll, another wind technique. At first he debated with himself on putting the scroll back for later and train a different technique, however he would quickly dismiss the thought. He had to be prepared to use any technique and if he put off training it just because it was difficult then he would never be willing to train it, so sucking up his own displeasure with the thought of it Son'Rei would read over the scroll several times before sitting it down to attempt the technique. He started to wonder if the reason he was having such difficulty with wind techniques was because there were no hand seals with them, though he doubted all the techniques were like that. Son'Rei would take several deep breaths as he concentrated his chakra, mentally preparing himself for the technique that he was about to try. Finally ready, Son'Rei would inhale a deep breath as he channeled chakra into his lungs before unleashing it. Rather than a bullet of air that he was trying to perform, he would instead only let out the air with no form or power behind it. Letting out a disgruntled groan, Son'Rei would review the scroll once more. It should be simple yet it was causing him such trouble, he knew he was better than this yet still he struggled. He couldn't help but think that he might be over thinking everything, so for several minutes he would sit silently as he tried his best to clear his mind. After what seemed to him like forever, Son'Rei would stand and attempt the technique once more. Son'Rei inhaled another deep breath as he channeled chakra into his lungs once more, this time as he exhaled a bullet of wind would fly out at rapid speed flying to near one hundred meters away before dissipating, a smile forming on his lips.

Trained C-Rank Technique ~ Wind Release: Drilling Air Bullet (300/300) (WC for Wind techs doubled due to UA)

Pulling out the next scroll, Son'Rei would smile. Another Katon technique, with any luck he would be able to get this practiced like the other fire techniques and it wouldn't take him to long to perfect it. It was a simple enough technique, only six hand seals, but its effect was much greater. Sixteen balls of fire would form after he formed the final hand seal, using this time to try the technique out firing the orbs at a practice dummy that was not far away.

Trained C-Rank Technique ~ Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire 75/75 (WC for Fire Techs halved due to UA)

Pulling out another scroll, it seemed as though luck was on his side. Looking over the scroll, Son'Rei would see yet another Katon technique. While it only had one hand seal, it was actually much more complicated than the others he had practiced. To make a flame was one thing, but this took the flame and make a clone of himself out of it. While it took multiple tries for him to finally get it right, Son'Rei was finally able to pull off the technique and make the perfect ember clone. Looking it over as he took a short rest, the technique took a lot of chakra and he would need to rest before he tried another technique.

Son'Rei decided to utilize his clone to test some techniques that he already knew but had not really practiced before, it made sense not to waste time considering he was resting but his clone still had enough chakra for a few techniques at the very least. The ember clone would form a string of three hand seals, before unleashing a breath of fire that would quickly shift into the form of a serpent as it shared forward.

Trained Custom D-Rank Technique ~ Flame Serpent 75/75 (WC for Fire Techs halved due to UA)

Next Son'Rei would have his clone use a defensive technique, while it wasn't very powerful it didn't really need to be. It was a technique that was meant to push an opponent away from him, give him a chance to collect his thoughts and give him a least some distance. Of course, it would also burn the opponent if they didn't move fast enough to get away before the technique reached its limit. If timed right it could even be used to block a low level Katon technique, so if he went up against someone else with Katon it would be helpful.

Trained Custom C-Rank Technique ~ Flaming Shroud 100/100 (WC for Fire Techs halved due to UA)

The ember clone would only have enough chakra for one more technique, so Son'Rei decided to make it a good one. Utilizing the clone, Son'Rei would have it form a string of three hand seals, the dragon, the tiger and finally the snake. This technique was derived from the one the clone used before, and while the hand seals of the two techniques were similar there would be one major difference. After forming the string of hand seals, the clone would raise it's hands to it's mouth as it released a breath of fire. As the clone dissipated from using the last of its chakra, three flaming snakes would be created that would surge forward towards the training dummy. Son'Rei would take a breath as he watched the training dummy burn, satisfied with his training he would head back to his temporary home to rest.
