Mission Name: Stop The Man From Getting Wood

Mission Goal: Recapture the Lunatic
Description: A lunatic has escaped from the psychiatric ward of the hospital. He was put in from a mission after taking heavy psychological damage from genjutsu. He’s a trained shinobi and unlike most does not have anything holding him back. Generally he only attacks those who try to apprehend him, otherwise he just tends to run around and try to collect..wood. It’s morning, yes the innuendo is on purpose.
Payment: 25,000
Requirements: C-Class or 2 D-Class.

Peragus moved through the village toward the individual he was to apprehend. A man that was decidedly insane escaped from the psychiatric ward of the hospital and was running around trying to collect wood. Anyone that tried to apprehend him was attacked and the man was a trained shinobi. Leading to quite a few injuries thus far. Which is why Peragus decided to pick up the mission instead. Once he had it and was given a description of the man was he was after he activated his Byakugan and began to scan the village, searching for the man. He found him after some time scanning and went off immediately. Moving through the village with the practiced ease of someone who knew it well.

He found the man, running through the streets singing a song tunelessly with bright cheerful yells of whatever lyrics seemed to come to his mind with the recurring theme being ‘I like wood’. Ignoring the obvious joke inherent in that scenario Peragus moved quickly, seeming to disappear from the vision of most that might have attempted to see him on that road and struck the man center mass with an open palm. Channeling chakra into him and causing the man’s body to completely and utterly shut down for a few moments. Peragus quickly took the time to tie the man’s wrists and ankles together in ninja wire and soon enough staff from the psych ward arrived to cart him off back to the room with padded walls. With that, the Hyuuga nodded and left, intent upon getting his mission turned in.

Mission Name: Prison Escape
Mission Type: Apprehend
Mission Rank: B
Mission Goal: Recapture the criminals
Description: A prison break has occurred, five shinobi have managed to escape the prison and are currently hiding within the village. Track them down and apprehend them once more.
Payment: 25,000
Requirements: C-Class or 2 D-Class.

Few things, if any, can hide from the eyes of the Byakugan. X-Ray vision, thermal vision, chakra vision, there’s really not much a Hyuuga cannot find within the range of their eyes and Peragus had the largest range of any Hyuuga in the clan thus far that he knew. He was sure there were a few that were hiding their true capabilities in order to have them in reserve when it really mattered but for the most part such things were unnecessary when it came to the byakugan because the difference in range at the later stages were measured in kilometers. As such there did not tend to be much point in holding back or hiding things.

Peragus certainly tended to not bother and because of it he gained a bit of a reputation. Even a nickname between some, whispered under breaths, like tasting a fine wine to see how it settled within the palette. “Peragus The Watcher”, the blue eyed Hyuuga did not care for it much. It could give some people a negative thought that he was some kind of pervert. Which he was not, even going so far as to specifically avoid such situations. Although frankly no one probably believed him when he said he did not use his eyes for such things. He knew though, and that was what mattered to him.

Still, he would let the nickname either stick or be switched with something else. After all, picking your own nickname had a certain bit of arrogance in the act and he wanted to see what people came up with. He would accept whatever was settled upon by those who wanted to give him a name. Still, today his prowess with his eyes came in handy indeed when he was tasked to scout for prisoners that had escaped. He was tasked with staying in the station and inform teams of where the prisoners were hiding out. He would relay the information and they would go out and retrieve them. The fear that a mere genin, no matter how talented would be unable to hold his own against such weak foes made Peragus roll his eyes. Of course since he was wearing a blindfold no one could really tell that he had but that was beside the point.

He sat within the station over a map, scanning the village with the files of the escaped prisoners on the table. He located them, one by one, pointing their location on the map and explaining their hiding place more thoroughly. One by one the teams went out and apprehended the targets and brought them back. Peragus was paid in full as a member of the team that captured them. Then he left, intent on getting some training done in private.

Mission Goal: Defeat the grieving swordsman
Description: A man who feels he's had everything taken from him by shinobi has trained with a sword for years. His skill with a blade is prodigious and he's considered superhuman with his capabilities. He's laid down a duel challenge for any shinobi willing to accept it. A one on one challenge. Defeat him, kill him, gang up on him if you want just ensure he doesn't endanger anyone.

Peragus had invited the man into the clan compound for the duel. Where they could be left in relative peace and quiet. However the man refused, instead wanting the duel between the two of them to occur at the gates of the village itself. Peragus accepted, meeting the man at the gates, wearing a single white robe and matching bottoms. His forehead protector still secure across his eyes and hiding them from view from all that might see them. The swordsman across from him wore a simple shirt and pants. No kimono or yukata, nothing of the sword. His sword was a katana, no sheathe in evidence. In fact Peragus could see the sheathe tossed aside into the brush nearby. The man had apparently abandoned it.

The swordsman wanted someone, anyone to fight him. He hated shinobi, and wanted to get anything he could back from them. In the man’s eyes shinobi were the cause of the deaths of his wife and children. For shinobi had not arrived in time to save them from the cruelties of banditry. Peragus could understand the grief behind the man’s actions. However he knew shinobi had not been at fault. Still, the man had trained and wanted to try to get some sort of revenge against shinobi in some way. Going so far as to challenge any shinobi to a duel against him.

Peragus had accepted, willing taking the challenge and inviting the man into the Hyuuga compound as his own guest where they could fight. His offer had been declined, for the man feared treachery. The white haired Hyuuga accepted that and met him on the man’s terms. At the gates of the village, ready to fight. The swordsman’s speed was exceptional, but when the duel began Peragus’ was superior. The grieving swordsman simply could not keep up with the Hyuuga, who allowed the man to vent out his anger in swing after swing, simply avoiding them for a while before finally ending the spectacle with a single shot to the solar plexus, infused with chakra and stunning the swordsman. The man dropped his sword as he fell to his knees, stunned and unable to move and the Hyuuga claimed victory for that before telling the man to move on. Then he went back in and turned the mission in, intent on getting to sleep early that evening.
