A MAD SCIENTIST'S RESEARCH SAGA PT. 1 (NIKOLA, SUZUYA, TENGOKU [COMPLETE])

It had not been a while since Nikola's latest adventure as it had taken place just earlier that day and said adventure was his shopping spree in Konoha's shopping district for refilling his stock of basic ninja gear of various kinds followed by his visit to the Konoha Credit Union to deposit the majority of whatever monies he had left to keep it safe. Since then, he had returned home and once again got lost in the murky depths of his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research, that is, after he had been dragged all around by his parents to assist them in their business ventures and social gatherings and such.

Hmm...to progress further, I suppose I need to once again go learn some additional ones from among the standard Aburame techniques...preferably through some efficient means...hmm...there is that training facility I have heard talk of recently...maybe I will pay a visit to them to learn these techniques...

Musing thus silently further, Nikola readied himself in his usual work attire, this being his researcher's outfit with his various pieces of ninja gear equipped to various strategically chosen areas on his person and then headed out after informing his family's support staff of his presumed location. It took him a while to reach there but upon doing so, he entered the premises of the Grand Konoha Training Facility, he informed the supervising staff of his intentions, and afterwards, he proceeded to look about in an attempt to choose a nice, quiet spot where he could focus on his jutsu training.

Today, Suzuya is in the training facility, pondering what he should even think about training. He has a decent little bit of useful techniques, but not too many. Wanting to have many different options is always a good way to start a mission, which is the driving reason as to why he is here in the first place. "Well, technically I could start with that, technique Airi suggested. Wave of Inspiration. It has been stated vividly to increase in potency when directed through conductive materials. That should be a good start."

After making his decision, he reaches into into both of his hip pouches. Pulling out one wired senbon in each hand, he would wrap the end of the wire around each pinky before dropping the senbon on the ground. Immediately forming one hand seal, his shadow would produce two tendrils. Each one would grab a senbon and fling it towards a dummy. In quick succession, he would release the one seal and perform a string of five seals. Rabbit, Dog, Boar, Ram, Rat. Without a second to pass, Lightning would spark up in Suzuya's hands, immediately darting down the steel wires and into the dummies. This lit them up like a lightning bolt in the night sky. It would last for a few seconds before dissipating. As the lightning subsided, the wooden dummies would reveal large circular char marks around the senbon. From those circles, the char marks would extend out in a spider web fashion.

After his tiny bit of Raiton training, he would contemplate working on another Shadow based technique. As he was contemplating this, he would notice a new face entering this training facility floor. A new face could definitely mean interesting techniques. This caught his eye as the individual walked over to an unoccupied space. He would kind of watch quietly to see what the man would start with before approaching. Observing before engaging is easily Suzuya's preferred method of interaction.

Naturally, since Nikola had the incorrigible bad habit of any true blue research-obsessed science type, that being the tendency to get so thoroughly immersed that he was insensate to the outside world, he did not immediate notice his silent observer in the distance. Instead, he was seated in traditional Japanese sitting posture with closed eyes while trying out preliminary meditation to get the communication pheromones flowing between him and his Aburame bugs that were using his body as a living hive so that he could ease them into assisting him with the slew of known clan techniques as well as the characteristics of the various insects dwelling inside him that he was hoping to field test for future reference in his own entomological research.

Hmm...let me see...what do we have on the docket today...there is the Insect Clone jutsu...the Insect Deception jutsu...Insect Jamming jutsu...and finally, there is that Insect Sphere jutsu...that should suffice for the time being, methinks...which one to start with, though...

Nikola mused thus silently as he prepared himself both mentally and physically for the day's auto-didactic training exercise. After a few more minutes, he had decided on the order of his testing and learning. With that in mind, he rose to his feet and then commanded 500 out of the 800 kikaichu inside him to flow out of his body and hover around him in their usual dual-wield swarms, and consequently, the room he was in began to be filled with the rhythmic buzzing of said insects which, due to their enormous numbers, was now audible to anyone listening in or observing them.

First on the queue...the Insect Clone jutsu...hmm, so I have the 500 kikaichu out and about that are needed...now to form the mental image of myself...and then command my little friends to form themselves up into a physical replica of myself...

Nikola thought thus silently, going through the instructions he had read from the clan jutsu scroll before coming to the facility. Then, he stretched out his hands and clasped them together into what seemed to be the Snake hand seal but really was not as this jutsu did not need any, and instead was simply a silent signal to his insects to coalesce into the shape of his physical doppelganger. Alas, though said insects managed to get the overall humanoid shape of the Insect Clone technique correct, they still could not perfectly manage to replicate his features accurately and precisely from the start.

Hmm...a promising start, but still somewhat disappointing that it was not completely perfect from the beginning...hmm, now to refine it...

Nikola mused silently thus further as he closed his eyes, kept his hands clasped while letting his chakra flow to his kikaichu to maintain the humanoid form of the developing Insect Clone he was in the process of making, and then concentrated a little harder on picturing himself in much greater detail...from the roots of his hair to his sharply defined facial features to his lean but not overly lanky body and then down to his arms and legs, covered with numerous scars from his relentless self-experimentation...and of course, finally, his attire. Then, he transmitted this information encoded in his chakra to his kikaichu which responded accordingly by creating a much more exact replica of himself, enough to be actually used in combat or for any other purpose.

"Well done, my comrades...you make me proud to be your partner and host. Let us continue onward then, shall we?"

Nikola said while nodding to the kikaichu which were maintaining the form of his exact duplicate in the Insect Clone jutsu he was now finished practicing and in response, their buzzing increased a few decibels as if demonstrating their pride as the poster children of Aburame insects even though that was not actually the case due to their simplistic nature.

Tengoku didn't usually take a break from training. He got up before the sun to run with his wolves and practice a hundred swings with each hand. Not at the speed he was capable of....slow and methodical. To truly keep the speed of his god draw he needed to actually be fully awake and focused. So he had gone to the office for a few hours and handled the politics there. A call for more chunnin and jounin on his desk once more. He would look it over before letting out a sigh. He had standards many did not wish to meet. Some in the main clans thought it beneath them...that said most of them seemed weak to begin with. He would rub his hands against his face after a few hours before deciding to call it a day. He just wanted to go train and leave the reality of the world behind him. There was risk of course for leaving their ranks so exposed....yet rank was just a formality. There were those within the village who held at least the power of a chunnin …. if not more. Speed and power at their beck and call. He just needed them to meet those requirements to rank up.

For now he left the office and walked quietly down the streets to the grand konoha training facility. His black robes had no sleeves and only went down to his knees. Shinobi sandals adorned his feet. On his ankles, wrists and upper arms were adorned with golden rings with feather patterns inscribed into them. Over his shoulders was a black robe with yellow trimming along the edges. He did not wear the Hokage hat because it hurt his white canine ears matching his chest length white hair which hung loosely over his shoulders. On his left waist were his Odachi and his Tetsudashi steel Katana. On his right hung a single gourd. In his hands was a long ornate black pipe with gold trimming. He was smoking a bitter herb for his head ache as he walked. Nothing illegal but still a comfort. He would continue puffing on it occasionally as he walked into the facility. A quick inquiry of who was training today led him to a room set aside for a training pit. There were plenty of different kinds of dummies in a circular arena style sand pit. It was warm here at least.

Sounds reached his ears the moment he opened the door. First was the crackle of electricity and soon it was followed by a loud buzzing. His eyes turned to look over each of them as the door closed behind him. The smell of sand in his nose as he observed each of them. The whites of his eyes were dyed black by his tainted chakra though for pupils he had glowing golden crosses. Tengoku would take another puff of his pipe before considering it cashed. Idly he would tap it out before loading another bowl. Using his raiton chakra to light it before continuing to puff. One was a boy he had seen here before...a Nara if he recalled. The other wouldn't need introduction with the obviousness of the bug techniques. An Aburame of all things. He hadn't seen one before in the active shinobi forces. How interesting a combo they could make together. Still he would blow out a smoke ring idly as he stood in plain view. They were training individually for now but he hoped that the two of them would choose to train together. At least at this stage it was better for their growth.

Watching as the white coat wearing individual seemingly produced bugs from his body, Suzuya became intrigued. Though it's not much often that he sees individuals controlling insects, he has spent a lot of time with his own clan studying and memorizing the basic descriptions of all the clans and their individual abilities. "Aburame... specializing in bugs and techniques surrounding them. They have always been intriguing but some bugs are weird looking, so I have never even thought of them to be fun to handle. But none the less this is what they do. They are strong in their own right so not even possible to say other wise. Always a great asset to the village. At least that is what my dad has said. Watching him work on his clan techniques, makes me wanna work on mine. Maybe I should try to create that shield technique. It might prove difficult as it would involve raising a large quantity of shadow instead of a single tendril and compacting and flattening it to create a wall to protect from attacks..."

Immediately, Suzuya would put his thought process into action, forming the seals Rat then Dog then Horse. Channeling chakra into his shadow, he stands, raising one portion of his shadow around 3 feet wide up to his shoulder's height. He would attempt to hold it but drops it as it is such a physically different shape than what he was used to. Without the intent to give up, Suzuya retries this with hopeful ideals, over and over. Each time something else falls short of his expectations. Too short. Too wide. Too tall. Too thick. So on and so forth. Though, no matter the issue, he continues to try and become closer to the correct feeling with each try.

After about 20 tries, Suzuya finally figures it out and holds it for a suitable amount of time. Feeling very accomplished but winded, he takes a seat where he stands though, still facing the Aburame individual as he trained. Being so interested in watching the Aburame and training his own clan techniques, he hadn't even noticed that the canine-eared Tengoku enter the training area. As amazing an individual as he was, he was basically unconsciously unimportant to be noticed to the subconscious of Suzuya. Granted if Suzuya were paying attention, his reaction and actions would be much different. This would include a greeting and most of his attention.

Nikola had been busy going over his mental list of the next Aburame clan jutsu he was planning to train when he noticed that the shokaichu inside him were buzzing more than usual and since that caught his attention and piqued his curiosity, he started to look about to see what could have set them off like that. Upon doing so, he finally noticed the presence of two others in the room besides himself now, one being a black haired young man dressed in relatively plain attire and the other an older-seeming man with long white hair and a much fancier attire than either himself or the unfamiliar black haired young man. Additionally, he also noticed now that the black haired young man seemed to be watching him, so he decided to reach out in return and greet him by calling out to him, his voice being the same baritone and melodious one as per usual since that was its innate quality and with a brief bow after dispelling the Insect Clone jutsu he had active till then

"Greetings, please accept my apologies for not noticing you earlier. I am Nikola Aburame, and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, good sir."

Then, he turned to the white haired older man and greeted him by calling out to him in that same baritone and melodious voice from earlier as well and with the same brief bow too, this time just to be on the safe side in case this one would become significant in any future interactions

"Hello to you as well, sir. My apologies to you as well for not realizing you were present here. I was too engrossed in my training till now, but it is nonetheless a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well."

With that said, Nikola fell silent and waited to see what would happen next and how the two men would react to his greeting to them.

Tengoku would take another puff off the long pipe as one boy did not seem to notice him as he continued to practice his Nara abilities. The other his Aburame techniques. Their heart of fire burning as they sought to master the techniques of their ancestors. Both reminded him of the intelligence of his sister without her snarky nature. A light smile would appear on his features before he would be addressed by one of them. There was some distance though his right ear would twitch at the distant call as if he had almost shouted it into his ear. Well they were polite at least if not focused. He would take a deep breath before letting out the smoke. His head ache was fading at least. So for now he would begin to casually walk forward. No speed to his pace as he seemed to almost float along the ground. His movements were majestic in nature as he simply walked forward to make conversation simpler. Black and gold eyes taking them in a moment. Their chakra signatures were already significantly diminishing as they focused on their ninjutsu primarily. Though the Aburame chakra was...more difficult to track. His eyes couldn't see the active Tenketsu for all the bugs in their system.

Still he would gradually come to a stop a mere few meters away. His eyes shifting between each of them as they strained to learn the cornerstones of their clans abilities. Not of the three main clans of Hyuuga, Senju and the largest clan in the village the Uchiha. Yet of potent bloodlines all the same. He was encouraged to see how far they would strive. For now though it seemed he had come as a bit of a distraction. Perhaps he should train them a little Tengoku would think to himself. Though as of yet neither of them seemed to have recognized him. Still he wouldn't take offense to that. Their focus was on their training not fawning over him. It was respectable. Though the way the Aburame spoke appeared a little more formal than expected. He would nod his head to each of them a moment before answering in kind, His voice warm and meeting his eyes.

"Hello Aburame Nikola. Well met indeed. You may both call me.....call me Ten. And who might you be young man?" He would turn his gaze towards Suzuya as he asked.

Hearing Nikola introduce himself, Suzuya was about to follow suit and do the same. He did not get the opportunity as Nikola had seeming noticed someone else as well. This caused him to follow his line of sight, forcing him to notice the Hokage himself. This made Suzuya embarrassed as he didn't even notice him approach, especially with this being his second encounter with him.

"Hey, hello. Um... Ten? I'm Suzuya. Nara Suzuya. I think I forgot to introduce myself the last time. I'm sorry. Hi, Nikola. Nice to meet you as well. Pretty interesting to see your techniques. I have only been told about the Aburame. Always wanted to see their stuff and bugs in action. It was quite the spectacle, of course." Suzuya would wipe the sweat from his forehead on his sleeve, which caused it to soak a large wet spot on it. Rolling it up to remove it from sight, he would apologize at his current state. "I'm sorry, I was just trying to work out the kinks of a technique I'm trying to make work. A Nara technique that I hadn't seen or heard used even though it could definitely prove beneficial. These Shadow techniques have always been slightly middling of offensive and defensive, with the exception of one purely offensive technique, but not a defensive. I'm not sure how long you have been watching but that is what I was working on. Haven't quite got the hang of it yet, but the time will come." Suzuya says this with a smile and excitement, before remembering once again that it was the Hokage. This caused Suzuya to feel embarrassed all over again.

"Sorry, I tend to get carried away when I speak of Ninjutsu. What brings you here today? It's definitely always a pleasure to see you. Even if I don't notice you right away, hehe." Suzuya would hold his hands behind his back while standing in a slightly sloppy but attentive pose, waiting for a response from either of the two individuals that were engaging him.

Nikola had been waiting patiently for the two men to introduce themselves in return or respond in some other way and once they had done their bit, he began with his remarks in reply

"Ten it is then...wait, Lord Hokage? Well now, this is quite an unexpected and rather significant honor, indeed. I suppose I must apologize once more for not being cognizant enough to perceive the presence of the village leader himself, so please do accept my sincere apologies again. I shall endeavor to not make this same mistake again henceforth."

After having addressed the Hokage, Lord Ten, Nikola then turned his attention to addressing Suzuya as well

"Oh? One of the legendary Nara clan, eh? Oh my, this is yet another great honor for me to be fortunate enough to encounter a member of one of the Nara-Yamanaka-Akimichi triumvirate, for I too have heard quite a few tales of the exploits of each of these clans in the past and right up until the present time, and especially the Nara in particular, they are renowned not only in Konoha, but also the rest of the ninja world for their superlative intellect and strategic acumen. In fact, it would not be too much of a stretch to say I am what one would call a major fan of the Nara clan as I am somewhat of an intellectual myself, albeit quite inferior to the Nara."

Nikola said and after pausing briefly to collect his thoughts, he resumed his address to Suzuya once more, his eyes and facial expression mirroring the same sort of excitement that could be found on Suzuya's face at present as they talked about

"So, please accept my thanks on behalf of the Aburame clan for always keeping Konoha safe and secure with those brilliant minds of yours. Naturally, if you are amenable to the idea, I too would quite enjoy having the chance to witness a demonstration of the Nara clan's shadow jutsu which is perhaps as famous as their mental prowess, Suzuya. Regarding my own jutsu training agenda for today, I wanted to explore and learn some more of the standard Aburame clan jutsu as well as the relevant insects so that I may use them as a reference point from which I can create my own...and who knows, may someday, I could even try undertaking entomological research for the purposes of creating new and unique insects for my clan and I to employ along with the relevant special jutsu at some point in the future."

Nikola spoke thus regarding his own plans for his clan's jutsu and insect specialty and after saying his part, he fell silent again and waited to see how Ten and Suzuya would respond to his remarks and actions.

Tengoku would quietly listen to each of them as he puffed on his pipe. Slow and methodical as each breath would let more sour smelling soak escape his lips. It was good for his head aches at least. Though each of them appeared to be more driven by intellect than emotion. Though one did seem more nervous than the other. His free hand would rise to brush along the stubble along his strong jawline. Black and golden eyes taking them both in a moment before folding his arm in the crook of the elbow for the hand holding the long pipe. His sister had been highly intelligent and gifted in many arts he himself had little to no talent in. Likely these two would branch out from Ninjutsu into one of the other fields focused around the mind. Genjutsu or medical fell into the most common types. Still he himself was a ninjutsu practitioner on top of his skills in close combat and archery. Still there would be praise and self doubt passed back and forth freely. Humble was a word he may have used if it didn't border on self deprecation and patronizing. He felt for Suzuya though. Having to live up to the Nara clan name.

Still his gaze would shift to the Aburame boy. He appeared to be lost in his own speech as he continued on considerably. The way he spoke would lead Tengoku to lick the inside of his gums in idle empty thought. He was a researcher certainly. Someone who placed the gathering of data above most human interaction. To what level he wasn't certain but he would be more cautious around him. That type had a tendency to want more and see very little in the way of ethics. He would need to see how that one progressed. Aside from that Tengoku wasn't a fan of bugs so he wouldn't be eager to shake hands with any aburame. However he would listen to them both before letting out a smoke ring. Speaking in return.

"I wouldn't worry about noticing me or not. I make my presence known when I feel it matters. Mastering your clans abilities and expanding on them is also a worthy pursuit. However there is more to being a ninja beyond just learning techniques. Discovering new ways to use them and having the physical body to keep up in active combat. I assure you if your wit is faster than your wrath many will not succumb to it. Beyond the abilities within your blood or body there lays other paths...Jutsu even from the academy that can be used in many ways. Often with the abilities of your bloodlines as well. Do not simply seek to follow the known path but expand on it as well. New species of insects created for purpose are impressive...but versatility is the tool of a good ninja. With training you may have an opponent who doesn't know you are there and find it makes things much simpler."

Responding to Nikola, Suzuya would excitedly respond to his request of demonstrating his clan's techniques. "Oh, of course. I don't mind showing you the techniques. Actually as I was practicing and attempting to form a new technique that not even anyone in the rest of the clan knows. I have high hopes and dreams of expanding on our techniques and growing the potential combat prowess of the clan as a whole at some point in time. After speaking this reply, Tengoku would speak up after patiently listening to the two speak.

Suzuya would listen intently to the words of the Hokage, as he spoke nonchalant. His words were somewhat a lecture, though at the same time it didn't feel like one. For some reason it felt different to that of his father or sensei at the academy. With a less stern vocal inflection, giving way to mellow and reserved yet curated passion, the ideals spoken by this individual held more power in his mind. Not a simple 'you have to do this' or 'you can not do that', but rather a more 'don't forget everything you learned'. The idea of the foundation your knowledge has been built on should not go unnoticed rang true in Suzuya's mind. Reaching out and expanding is always a great avenue, but one could possibly make new things should he revisit the basics.

Tengoku's words kicked Suzuya's thoughts into overdrive with such simple words. From the start of what one has learned as a young child, that individual builds upon such ideals and lessons. Most always build up and never look down. Though this is almost always been a situation for those who latched onto one strength and ran with it, forgetting that other pathways exist. They would reach the end of that road and become stuck or lost in their endeavors. Suzuya would imagine himself in that situation, immediately thinking and speculating about the outcome if he honed one strength to soon follow it up with another learning path by grabbing another basic foundation and building that outwards as well, somewhat mirroring the previous. Doing that, it gave the idea and almost natural choice of melding the two together. This would create the idea of a totally new and possibly untraveled path for more possible growth. This was just the beginning for sure of this idea. A seed that was planted in his mind at the end of the Hokage's words; or so he thought.

Suzuya is about to speak out in response to Tengoku, before a phrase plastered itself across his mind like a chalk board. This made the words he was about to respond with become postponed, releasing itself from his mouth before anything else escaped. "One does not grow by only looking forward." This would hang from his lips for a few seconds before he returns to reality and gives his intended response. "The truth of the power behind those words, comes from a source of wisdom in your history, I assume? All you have said makes sense. Such sense that I now understand what my father meant when he gave me one lecture about my not committing to the academy and neglecting its foundation strictly for my own self-applied growth and pursuit in ninjutsu knowledge. I felt it unbearably unnecessary for me to focus on such things I had no interest in, up until I started interacting with other shinobi after graduation. All individuals so far have pushed me and given inspiration for me to grow as much as possible, it is honestly a blessing for my parents to force me into the academy. Even after my many years or neglecting it." After speaking, he would put his right hand on his chin and left hand on his elbow. As a small undertone of thought processing began analyzing his growth and weaknesses all together, he would mainly continue listening to the conversation that was at hand.

Nikola nodded as he listened to Suzuya describing what he had been doing before their encounter and conversation with the Hokage began, and then remarked with a smile

"Excellent, I have always been curious as to the mechanics of how something like a shadow can be manipulated at all, to be honest. Though, I suppose it might have something to do with the Yin element since it allows the user to essentially make something out of nothing? That technique you were working on also sounds quite fascinating, indeed, Suzuya. I wish you luck with your jutsu development and am looking forward to seeing it in action as well."

Then, Nikola moved on to addressing what Ten had said about not forgetting his roots and ensuring to condition not only his mind but also his body and remarked again while having his cordial, well-practiced, and natural businessman's smile on his face

"Your words just now strongly reminded me of this one old instructor I had during my Academy days who had this favorite saying...'if qualities of heaven are your desire, then acquire wisdom to take your mind higher...but if earthly qualities are what you lack, then train your body and prepare to attack...and thus, when heaven and earth are opened together, the perilous path will become righteous forever'. So, you have my gratitude for reminding me of this most important truth and I shall endeavor to take these words of yours to heart and live my life henceforth by them to the best of my ability while still staying true to my researcher's soul, of course."

Nikola spoke thus and then fell silent once more while waiting to see what Ten and Suzuya would do and say in response to his remarks and actions. Also, while waiting, he silently mulled over what he was planning to study next on his list of jutsu and considered alternatives just in case he would not get to train those particular ones on this specific day.

Tengoku would listen as Suzuya spoke first. His pipe had run out so he would idly tap the stem to his wrist as the ashes fell out and spread into the surrounding sands of the arena. Idly tucking the pipe into his inner cloak pocket before crossing his arms. So this one had not cared for the teachings of the academy at first. It wasn't uncommon for the talented to think the academy beneath them. However the fact that he already had found the basics useful and inspiration for more from his fellow shinobi was good. Still Tengoku would nod quietly before his black and gold eyes would shift over to Nikola as he quoted an old Sensei who seemed to like to speak in riddles. Well it wasn't uncommon among the teachers he supposed. Nor was it inaccurate in his opinion. Still he would smile a bit as he shifted his hands down to his hips and spread out his chakra sensory lightly. Not focusing on it at this range but enough to measure them up. They were both roughly the same in chakra signature though Nikola had slightly more. It was difficult to measure with the different chakra systems though. Still he would speak up once more.

"Ahh good. You both had good teachers in the past. It means we won't have to break down bad habits as much. That said both of your abilities are uniquely situated for stealth type attacks. Building on the basics is a good way to start the morning but consider how you can fight from out of sight. That said you both are of interesting bloodlines and seek to improve what your clans utilize. Beetles and shadows between the two of you would be an excellent combination. Holding an opponent with Suzuya's shadows while Nikola consumed their chakra. Even I would be wary of such a combo. That said I find it useful to experience higher level of power in a safe environment. It helps the mind comprehend what is actually possible. I also like to show off sometimes to our youth. With your permission I would ask to submit you to my power so you can experience it yourselves. There will be immense discomfort but it will not threaten your lives. If you do not wish to however I will fully understand. This is for educational purposes not to simply bully you two. "

Suzuya would listen diligently, nodding as Tengoku spoke in rebuttal to both his and Nikola's answers. At least all the way up until he offered to 'train' his abilities with them. This statement froze Suzuya for a short period of time. Nothing flowed through his mind after those words were spoken. His mind blank, void even from ninjutsu ideas and excitement. The first few things to reenter his mind were thoughts of attempting to avoid being hit by attacks. Not too long after that, almost like a switch internally, his chakra would begin to spark up at an immense capacity. Practically visible at this point, his chakra would most definitely be tangible should someone step close enough. His eyes lit with the fire of excitement, fueled with the thoughts of seeing The Hokage's jutsu and techniques. So much excitement swelled inside of him to the point that it almost began to burn away at his chakra reserves as is.

"I have no objections whatsoever! To have the opportunity to witness and train with you and your jutsu would be a pleasure and a great learning opportunity. Let's not forget the possibility to become even more inspired than I already am! I couldn't have asked for a better scenario at all."

As he spoke, Suzuya subconsciously cultivated his raiton chakra and circulated it through his whole body. This is something that could prove detrimental in certain situations but right now, without his own knowledge, he chose to anticipate anything immediately after the offer was presented. It wasn't long after that he would form 6 hand seals releasing the chakra that was swelling inside of himself. His super static aura began to spark up and dance around his whole body, including within his eyes, causing them to glow a soft light grey coloration. "I'm ready when you are!" Eyes locked on Tengoku, Suzuya's eyebrows furrow almost to the point that they were touching, though his widest grin was plastered across his entire face. His excitement is so high that people would be able to see it from a kilometer away should they be expecting it, though that is a large over exaggeration.

Watching Tengoku as best he could, Suzuya almost entirely forgets Nikola is standing next to him. Should he be watching all of this, he would even be able to see Suzuya's fingers jumps at every ear twitch of Ten's canine ears. His eyes darting and analyzing every nuance he could perceive. Unmoving, Suzuya locks in his stance awaiting anything at all should he be able to track it.

All of this raiton sparking and jolting around himself, it seems to run ramped in his mind as well. Reminding him of the one and only time he ever attempted to look at any taijutsu techniques. This was only fueled further by the words Tengoku spoke earlier around fundamentals and such. He slowly enters a stance that he has only seen once in the library, but the way his mind works, he sees it almost clear as day. Strong Fist stance. Taijutsu. His first attempt at such a thing. Though it only helps as he has his static burst activated anyway. Choosing such a different approach against such a powerful opponent, such a though could only happen in a training scenario as it is almost impossible to convince Suzuya of such a thing. Yet, here we are.

Nikola was listening to what Tengoku mentioned about potential strategic combinations between his Aburame insects and Suzuya's shadow jutsu while nodding to show he was following along, and then remarked with a thoughtful expression on his face

"Ah, now there is an interesting tactic...perhaps other variations of it could also be developed as combination jutsu depending on the specific insects and shadow jutsu used as well...thank you for the suggestion, Lord Ten."

After that, Nikola watched on as Tengoku suggested that he show them some of his own powers within the safety margins of a training session and as he saw Suzuya's rather dramatic reaction to the suggestion, he smirked in understanding and then turned to Tengoku since he too was also rather excited at the prospect of having a front row seat to a Kage level power demonstration, with his facial expression and body language mirroring Suzuya's own, namely, with a nigh palpable display of the previously mentioned excitement in his own right, as could be discerned from the audible buzzing of his insects despite them being inside of him at present and also from the glint anticipatory thrill in his eyes along with his now fully dilated pupils and the almost manic ear to ear grin that now played on his lips and then, he remarked

"Oh my, this is far greater of an honor than I could have imagined, Lord Ten! This will be surely be an excellent opportunity to gather more data for me to analyze and grow from this learning experience going forward, so you have my deepest gratitude!!"

With that said, just as Suzuya had done, Nikola's mind now tuned out everything and everyone else around him and narrowed his focus solely onto Tengoku as well so that he could be ready to brace himself for whatever Tengoku had planned to show him. Furthermore, also just like Suzuya, each one of Nikola's senses could now be seen preparing to analyze Tengoku's actions and reactions while he gave one final remark before the action began

"I too am ready when you are, Lord Ten!"

Tengoku would nod in appreciation. He wanted to test out this newest technique and it was supposedly non lethal. He had utilized its prior versions so he was confident in that. Still he would smile softly. And pat Suzuya on the shoulder as he finished preparing himself. He had increased his bodies capabilities considerably. Preparing himself for what was to come. The other had not but he was ready he believed. He vastly preferred Suzuya's preparation for what was coming. Even if it wouldn't be enough. Tengoku would take a few steps back a moment. He glanced to both of them before smiling once more. Speaking to them plainly.

"Both of you take a deep breath and prepare yourselves. Likely you will not be able to breath for a few seconds when I do this. Do not fear though I will release you quickly. It's coming in three...two...one...now."

Tengoku would say the final word almost reverently. His hands would rise in a fraction of a second. A single snake hand seal formed at S tier coordination. A burst of chakra would emerge from him as a dark field spread from him in a dome. Almost transparent but black in nature as it spread for a three hundred meter diameter. From beneath where he stood seals spread out continuously from his feet. Feeding out one meter in diameter around him like a liquid into a seal that could not be read. Immediately the two of them would be faced with immense downwards pressure. Pulling them to the ground from every inch of their body and threatening to bury them into the sand at their feet. Threatening the flatten them and force the air out of their lungs. Losing out to a debuff of -2 Tiers to each of their Coordination, Strength and Speed stats. Tengoku however would stand before them. Speaking clearly.

"This is the field of defiance. For three hundred meters in every direction I can place this pressure on anyone I wish. If you want to face the real players in this fight...I expect this level of fight from you both. Train and know this is your goal for tiers of power."

Tengoku would release them with a sigh from the expenditure of chakra. He was putting off the inevitable. Quietly he would form the tiger hand seal as he would let puffs of smoke appear behind him. As if effortlessly he would create ten shadow clones for a chakra each. Sending them to sit evenly around the room to gather sage chakra for him. Joining them and having one of the ten take his place. Any sensory would be able to tell that clone was walking with one chakra. Still he would smile and clap his hands as the main body settled to gather nature chakra against the wall.

"Alrighty then. Who has questions?"

Jutsu used / trained:

Standing ready for almost anything Suzuya could think Tengoku would throw their way, he waits for such a thing to come forth. It was about the same instance that he was touched on the shoulder that he was slightly filled with confusion as he thought they were going to take part in a sparring session of sorts. It wasn't until after Ten started to speak that he realized something massive was going to happen. Not many techniques come with a monologue, but when they do, one must beware of the consequences. Tengoku's arm would shoot out into the air at an incomprehensible speed, which was followed not long after with a black force field of sorts.

Immediately, Suzuya's body felt like it would form a mush on the ground, though he is left barely standing. Ever so slowly sliding his way backwards in an attempt to escape the massive pressure, though to no avail. The pressure so strong it almost turned his mind to mush, hindering his full contemplation of the situation. With so much force in motion around him, it even makes time seem like its affected. Still standing though completely weakened, he still maintains his content nature about his progression.

After a few seconds, just as Tengoku had promised, the force was lifted from the area. Upon reentering the original gravity of the planet, it almost felt as though they were in a low gravity environment. This sudden change causes Suzuya to jolt upward as he was holding against the pressures sending him backwards and off balance. Luckily with his coordination returning back to normal, he catches himself before falling. Breathing heavy and attempting to regain his composure, he looks up to Tengoku in awe and amazement.

"That was such a different sensation. At first it felt similar to my shadow techniques, but then with added pressure and still the slight ability to move should the body allow it. I'm lucky I prepared how I did or else I might have been on the ground."

Nikola had been silently speculating on what was to come for Tengoku's demonstration, but then as he heard him start to monologue briefly, his suspicions started to rise as to said demo

A monologue? Really? Well now, this is starting to seem like it will certainly be trou...

Alas, Nikola did not even have time to finish that thought regarding Tengoku's monologue preamble to his demo when, suddenly, he witnessed a giant dome of what seemed to be black energy in form of some undecipherable script manifest all around them and then, he felt what could only be called an irresistibly overwhelming weight force him onto his knees and then flat onto his face in pronated position on the ground, as though the jutsu had warped and intensified the very gravity of the earth itself. Moreover, despite all his prodigious intellect, he found that the force acting upon him in those several moments was so terribly incalculable as to shut off any and all thought processes that had been running through his mind till then.

From what little he could see from his position flat on the ground now with his head slightly tilted up, Tengoku seemed to be saying something while he maintained his technique for a few more moments, but alas, nothing of that registered in Nikola's mind as his entire body was in instinctual fight-or-flight mode at the time. Fortunately, right afterwards, Nikola felt himself released from the technique as Tengoku cancelled it, and so, Nikola shakily rose to his feet and while doing so, he also noticed that Suzuya was in a similar albeit much better position than him, most likely due to the preparatory stance he had taken before the demo began in earnest. It took several moments for Nikola to re-calibrate his body and mind back to their default modes, but he did manage to do so in the end

Shadow Clones? There appears to be a fair few of them too...and what was that other technique's mechanism of action, I wonder? It felt as though the pressure had suddenly been intensified several fold nigh instantly during this technique's activity duration somehow...how very intriguing...it would seem that our current Hokage is also quite the interesting research specimen with his knowledge of and access to that technique of his that he showed us just now...

Nikola mused thus silently with his usual neutral and unreadable expression back on his face as he listened to Tengoku's next words which were basically him inquiring whether either him or Suzuya had any queries for him. So, after Suzuya said his bit in comparing the technique they both just witnessed and experienced, Nikola put in his two cents as well, and as he did, his researcher's attitude inevitably slipped out yet again despite his attempts to conceal it, thus making his facial expression once again seem like that wild-eyed, knowledge-hungry, information-obsessed one that could be expected from a stereotypical mad scientist with yet another nigh-manic ear to ear grin playing on his face again. Nevertheless, his words were perfectly coherent despite the harrowing experience he had just been through since all his faculties had come back by this point

"Hmm, that was truly a fascinating demonstration, Lord Ten. I am starting to now come up with some hypotheses as to what that technique could be powered by and based on, at least in terms of mechanism of action, the main ones being some sort of pressure alteration and even perhaps weight manipulation...most intriguing, indeed. Moreover, this knowledge should be able to assist me greatly in expanding my personal experience horizons going forward and more specifically, in trying to come up with countermeasures for similar future situations. So, again, you have my deepest gratitude for allowing me to experience such overwhelming power at so early a stage...and lastly, if I may ask, what are those clones doing over there?"

With that asked, Nikola now fell silent and his expression came back to his default neutral one as he recomposed himself while waiting for whatever would happen next in the current situation.

Nikola had fallen to the ground as was expected. He hadn't really prepared well for what was coming. Though it wasn't really his fault. He had likely never experienced something like it before. Besides it wasn't life threatening. Suzuya however barely managed to stay standing. Unable to really move or fight back. All his taijutsu prep had equaled out to remaining on his feet against Tengoku's power. Still he would smile at each of them a moment before everything slipped back into the flow. His clones gathering sage chakra with his main body while one took questions from the two of them. Suzuya simply had observations as did Nikola but there was one question. The Tengoku clone would place his hands on his hips as he considered how to explain it.

"There are a few individuals in the world who can access something called sage mode. By connecting to nature and absorbing it properly they gain a boost in power significantly. Physically and with chakra. I am gathering nature chakra at the moment to be able to achieve that mode. It takes some time but with clones it shouldn't take much longer. Soon I will achieve a higher level of power beyond what you just witnessed."

There was the sound of the door opening when a messenger seemed to appear next to the Tengoku clone. Unsure which was the real one. He would whisper in his ear a moment. His expression would turn grave. Finishing gathering the chakra before all the clones would puff into smoke. Returning his chakra to him as the real body stood. The messenger would bow as Tengoku frowned. Turning to the two boys before speaking firmly.

"An emergency has risen at one of the gates. Go home. See to your families and make sure to keep everyone home. It isn't safe to be out right now. The enemy is here."

With that Tengoku was just gone. His speed no more than a blur to them as he went back to the office to prepare. Collecting an item or two there before heading to the gates. They were under attack by the sounds of it by Raijin the dragon king. Some were already responding but the man was of a different caliber. It may just be time to truly test out that sage mode after all. Still he wanted to keep it outside the gates. So that was where he would race to.

Suzuya stands, listening to Tengoku as he spoke of a sage mode. Something that a few individuals had access to within the world as a whole. This actually fascinated him a lot, giving him a bit of excitement and the urge and want to go study such information that was recorded about such practices. Soon after mentioning that, Tengoku also spoke of reaching new heights with his abilities. This seemed fairly preposterous as he already seemed to be the pinnacle of powerful individuals that Suzuya knows of currently. This declaration almost made him laugh out loud. "Even the Lord Hokage strives to grow ever stronger within his own right and capabilities. If that isn't inspiration enough to continue your own growth, then I don't know what will be."

It was about this time that Tengoku states that he has to attend to some sort of emergency and that the two shinobi in front of him should head home immediately. In the blink of an eye, he was gone, before Suzuya could even say a response or a thank you for giving incite and inspiration for furthering their own growth in ability and utility. He turns to Nikola with a slightly stunned facial expression before speaking up.

"Well, I guess on that note, we might want to heed his words and head home, he did leave in quite the hurry. Might be something very important happening. It was such a pleasure meeting you and hopefully we can meet again soon, friend." Suzuya would wave before heading to the elevator himself and heading out of the facility.

Nikola was struck by what Tengoku had mentioned in the urgent orders he had given both him and Suzuya just then

Something happening at the gates? Hmm...fascinating, though, it would probably be wise not to tangle with such ominous situations just yet as I am not powerful and capable enough to defend myself if necessary...

Nikola mused silently thus as he watched Tengoku disappear in the barest blink of an eye thanks to his tremendous acceleration, but then Suzuya's words snapped him out of his reverie and so he remarked in response with his usual cordial smile and a show of enthusiasm and admiration

"Indeed, this has certainly gave me pause to think about my own progress as Lord Ten had suggested when we first encountered him here today."

With that said, Nikola watched as Suzuya apparently made up his mind to heed Tengoku's orders and head on home to check on his family and work with them to keep themselves safe and so, he bid him adieu in return

"Certainly, friend. I too look forward to our next encounter and if the Norns be willing, it will be under more pleasant circumstances as opposed to this village emergency. Au revoir for now."

Once he finished saying his goodbye, Nikola looked about and mulled over what had happened, but in the end, he too decided it would be best to leave for the day as he had already accomplished what he had come here to do today, namely, the commencement of his training and delving into the Aburame clan's secret insect jutsu series and once he did, he headed back home in accordance with Tengoku's orders as well to see to his family's safety during this emergency.
