It had been a while since Nikola's latest adventures. These had come in the form of yet another training session he undertook at the Grand Konoha Training Facility. Since then, Nikola had once again gotten back to his usual daily routine of assisting his parents with their business ventures, accompanying them to various high society events and mingling with the other attendees of said events, and of course, his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research, both of the generic sort and also more specifically of the ninja arts variety, with the latter being focused especially on the study of ever more efficient means of commanding and directing the Aburame insects dwelling inside him as well as the study of how to improve this entomological arsenal for his benefit and for that of his Aburame clan in general

Hmm...now that I have learned the theory regarding the execution of these new jutsu, perhaps it is time for another training session at that one center...

Nikola mused thus silently as he stirred from beneath the veritable mountain of research notes that were current piled up high in his residence/research lab in the Aburame clan compound on this particular day. After managing to drag himself out, he rose to his feet and proceeded to ready himself in his usual work attire, this being specifically comprised of his standard researcher's outfit and with his various pieces of ninja gear equipped to various strategically chosen areas on his person along with his insect reserves confirmed properly. Then, after informing his family's support staff of his potential whereabouts and intended destinations for the day, he set out to once again to the Grand Konoha Training Facility so that he could master the various jutsu on his field testing agenda for the day. Once there, he borrowed some training equipment from the on-site store, then chose a quiet, isolated spot in one of the rooms to set himself down and mentally prepared himself for the imminent start to his field testing session

Hmm...now then, what would be the best order to start testing these new jutsu I learned of in, I wonder? Maybe...Shatter Palm...followed by Slamming Palm...and then, once those are done...perhaps...

Nikola mused thus silently as he pondered about which jutsu to begin with, and after thinking about the matter for a bit, ultimately, he decided to go with field testing the Shatter Palm jutsu first. To that end, he reviewed the jutsu's performance steps mentally

Hmm...so this is a technique that is meant to allow the user to execute a rather straightforward palm thrust at a chosen target to break their guard...sounds simple enough to perform...

With that thought in mind, Nikola set up the training dummy he had brought with him at a short distance away from him. Then, he took up the standard Arhat Fist stance as per the instructions in the jutsu scroll and then, after rushing in close to the dummy, he made sure to thrust his right palm forward against it such that it was knocked backward and then fell over. After that, he walked back to his starting point to mull his handiwork while panting slightly

Impressive...this really IS a useful jutsu...and it does not cost too much due to being just C-rank in difficulty and it enhances my physical prowess in the strength department as well...still though, I had better be careful about picking the right situation in which to use this combo...since the exhaustion from it could end up accumulating rather quickly if I am not careful enough...

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared himself to do more trial runs with the Shatter Palm jutsu. To that end, he proceeded to test the Shatter Palm jutsu's effects by varying the palm he chose to perform it with to see if there would be any difference between the results, but there ended up being none that were significant enough to pursue field testing of from there. So, he then simply proceeded onward to the last phase of his field testing of the Shatter Palm jutsu, namely, the repetitive performance of this jutsu to build up the mental memory and muscle memory for it to the required level to have finished  learning it successfully. Thus, Nikola was able to successfully learn the Shatter Palm jutsu and then stopped to review the data he had gleaned from these jutsu field testing trials.

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Slamming Palm jutsu next

So the idea is to for the user of this jutsu to execute an upwards palm thrust at the chosen target to knock them into the air or to knock them unconscious...could be a useful setup jutsu when combined with Shadow of the Dancing Leaf...and whatever midair Taijutsu I have on the docket to learn next...

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using to its upright position again, he took the usual Arhat Fist stance and charged at it. Upon reaching close to it, however, he crouched into a lower stance so that he could get enough space to build up leverage for generating force for the upwards palm strike and then thrust his left palm at the dummy, this time knocking it high into the air. Then, he stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu

Hmm, that worked out well, though perhaps, only because the training dummy is a static target...while in battle, it would be much more difficult to aim and hit properly...now to proceed to the next phase of testing and to perform more trial runs...

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared to do more trial runs with the Slamming Palm jutsu that he set himself to learning now. Through these next few, once again, he tested the jutsu to see which palm would be better to use if any, but he ended up finding no difference in the force of his strikes, so he proceeded onto the final phase of his field testing of the Slamming Palm jutsu. Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. Thus, Nikola was able to successfully learn the Slamming Palm jutsu and then stopped to review the data he gleaned from these jutsu field testing trials.

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Peregrine Falcon Drop jutsu next

So the idea is to for the user of this jutsu to execute a rather swift air-to-ground dropping maneuver on the chosen target after having knocked said target upwards into the air via some means...such as Slamming Palm or Leaf Rising Wind...and then appearing behind or beneath them with the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf...that is quite the tricky tripartite combo attack...but this one also seems to enhance the user's physical prowess to some degree, so could be useful despite the increased cost...

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using to its upright position again, he took the usual Strong Fist style's stance and charged at it. Upon reaching close to it, however, he performed the Leaf Rising Wind jutsu which involved using his entire body as a tight spring by amassing power through sliding a posture where he made his back fall low to the ground and also relative to the training dummy. Then, a split second after he had finished building up the requisite potential energy for the subsequent strike, he executed a powerful high kick at a point on the training dummy which was just above his own head and by using this high kick to convert his built up potential energy near instantaneously into kinetic energy, he succeeded in knocking the training dummy high into the air.

Once that was done, without missing a beat, he then went into performing the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf jutsu to cause his body to leap into a midair position behind the now airborne dummy,  as per the relevant jutsu scroll's instructions. Finally, he proceeded to executing the new Peregrine Falcon Drop jutsu he set himself to learning by wrapping his arms around the training dummy's waist and then wrapped his legs around its chest from behind before driving it head first into the ground below from that airborne position while keeping himself safe from harm. Then, he slowly rose to his feet and stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu

Hmm, that worked out well, though perhaps, only because the training dummy is a static target...while in battle, it would be much more difficult to aim and hit properly...and this is a tripartite maneuver which means that the overall stamina expenditure is quite steep...so perhaps, I shall have to be careful about when I choose to use it and should also focus on improving my max stamina levels...now then, to proceed to the next phase of testing and to perform more trial runs with this...

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared to do more trial runs with the Peregrine Falcon Drop jutsu that he set himself to learning now. Through these next few, once again, he tested the jutsu to see if the starting height would make a difference in the results if any, and he did indeed end up finding that the force of his strike with this jutsu was proportional to his own physical strength and that he had to have at least 10 m of drop height for optimal momentum build up, so he proceeded onto the final phase of his field testing of the Peregrine Falcon Drop jutsu to implement changes to experimental setup based on these findings and to commit them to memory. Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. Thus, Nikola was able to successfully learn the Peregrine Falcon Drop jutsu and then stopped to review the data he gleaned from these jutsu field testing trials.

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Lion Combo jutsu next

So the idea is to for the user of this jutsu to execute an ultra-fast combo attack that involves knocking said target upwards into the air via some means...such as Slamming Palm or Leaf Rising Wind...and then appearing behind or beneath them with the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf...after which point, the user proceeds to take advantage of the opponent's counterattack thereafter to spin around and rise again for further assaults...and the jutsu finishes off by repeatedly slamming said target with blows to force them to fall to the ground faster and faster until, finally,  the target of this attack is thrown to the ground and kicked in the stomach with all that kinetic energy and momentum by the user to inflict significant damage...that is quite the tricky tripartite combo attack...but this one also seems to enhance the user's physical prowess to some degree, so could be useful despite the increased cost...

Once that was done, without missing a beat, he then went into performing the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf jutsu to cause his body to leap into a midair position behind the now airborne dummy,  as per the relevant jutsu scroll's instructions. Finally, he proceeded to executing the new Lion Combo jutsu he set himself to learning by using the now airborne dummy as a springboard to spin around and rise above it, after which point, he performed the sequence of downward blows at the airborne training dummy to make it fall faster and further until it hit the ground with him executing one final drop kick to its abdominal portion to finish the jutsu. Then, he slowly rose to his feet and stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu and noted the extensive damage that the training dummy suffered due to the force of the jutsu's impact

Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Leaf Strong Whirlwind jutsu next

So the idea is to for the user of this jutsu to execute a spinning back kick which is performed with such speed that the target will have difficulty following this movement, thus easily allowing the user to smash the target in question with overwhelming force due to the momentum of this jutsu at the moment of impact...and this jutsu, like all the rest of the ones in the Strong Fist Style, also seems to enhance the user's physical prowess to some degree, so could be useful even after considering the increased cost...

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using to its upright position again, he took the usual Strong Fist style's stance and charged at it. Upon reaching close to it, he began executing the new Leaf Strong Whirlwind jutsu by leaping forward in a spinning motion to perform the spinning backward kick as per the jutsu scroll's instructions, causing the dummy to be knocked backwards to a great extent and then fall over due to the velocity and force of the jutsu's impact against it at the moment of contact. Then, he slowly rose to his feet and stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu and noted the extensive damage that the training dummy suffered due to the force of the jutsu's impact

Hmm, that worked out well, though perhaps, only because the training dummy is a static target...while in battle, it would be much more difficult to aim and hit properly...so perhaps, I shall have to be careful about when I choose to use it and should also focus on improving my max stamina levels...now then, to proceed to the next phase of testing and to perform more trial runs with this...

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Crushing Palm jutsu next

So the idea is to for the user of this jutsu to aim for and then strike at the target by performing a downwards palm strike after somehow getting them into a position that allows for this sort of maneuver, eh?...Maybe it can be preceded by something like Leaf Whirlwind or even the Leaf Gale to facilitate the positioning of the target...and this jutsu, like all the rest of the ones in the Arhat Fist Style, also seems to enhance the user's physical prowess to some degree, so it could be useful even after considering the increased cost...

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using to its upright position again, he took the usual Strong Fist style's stance and charged at it. Upon reaching close to it, he began by first executing the Leaf Gale jutsu by leaping forward and performing a powerful rotating kick at the training dummy's base and once the dummy had begun to fall over, then he proceeded  to go into the Arhat Fist style's usual stance and performed the new Crushing Palm jutsu by slamming his palm in a powerful downwards strike maneuver at the training dummy according to the jutsu scroll's instructions, causing the dummy to crash into the ground hard due to the velocity and force of the jutsu's impact against it at the moment of contact. Then, he slowly rose to his feet and stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu and noted the moderate damage that the training dummy suffered due to the force of the jutsu's impact

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Smashing Boulder jutsu next

So the idea is for the user of this jutsu to aim for and then strike at the target by performing a straightforward yet powerful punch, eh?...this sounds simple enough...and this jutsu, like all the rest of the ones in the Arhat Fist Style, also seems to enhance the user's physical prowess to some degree, so it could be useful even after considering its increased performance cost...

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using to its upright position again, he took the usual Arhat Fist style's stance and after charging at the training dummy, he then executed the new Smashing Boulder jutsu by making a fist and thrusting it forward while putting as much of his body weight behind as possible according to the jutsu scroll's instructions, causing the dummy to knocked backwards and fall over hard due to the velocity and force of the jutsu's impact against it at the moment of contact. Then, he slowly rose to his feet and stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu and noted the moderate damage that the training dummy suffered due to the force of the jutsu's impact

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared to do more trial runs with the Smashing Boulder jutsu that he set himself to learning now. Through these next few, once again, he tested the jutsu to see if varying the hand used would make a difference in the results if any, but he did not end up finding any significant difference between the two variations, so he then proceeded onto the final phase of his field testing of the Smashing Boulder jutsu to implement changes to experimental setup based on these findings and to commit them to his photographic memory. Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. Thus, Nikola was able to successfully learn the Smashing Boulder jutsu and then stopped to review the data he gleaned from these jutsu field testing trials.

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of Ijutsu techniques next

Hmm...now that I have finished with field testing all the Taijutsu that I possess access to at present with my current state of development...maybe a change of pace is now in order...maybe switching over to Ijutsu and field testing the basics of the skill and most basic jutsu therein...Soft Body Manipulation...essentially a jutsu to increase one's striking range by using medical chakra to make the body inhumanly malleable...perhaps this works via activating the cells of the body's musculoskeletal system as well the nerves and vascular system portions associated with it specifically...but at the same time, it seems this jutsu and its derivatives also need a certain level of stamina minimum to perform effectively...

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using back to its upright position again, he then proceeded to execute the new Soft Body Manipulation jutsu he had set himself to learning now from the Ijutsu scrolls he had memorized beforehand and thus, he commenced this last round of his jutsu field testing for the day. So, in accordance with the jutsu scroll's instructions, he gathered his chakra and after converting it into medical chakra, he then flooded his body with it, ensuring to funnel this altered chakra into the cells of his muscles, bones, and cartilage as well as the nerves and blood vessels connected to them. Consequently, he felt his body become inhumanly flexible and malleable as well. He then focused his consciousness on his appendages, neck and portions of his body one by one, attempting to stretch up to 1 m away from his torso. Then, he stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu and noted that he could easily touch the training dummy from his current position 1 m away from it.

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared to do more trial runs with the new Soft Body Manipulation jutsu that he set himself to learning now. Through these next few, once again, he tested the jutsu to see if he could stretch his appendages and neck more than 1 m away from his torso, and he ended up finding that he could indeed stretch them easily up to and including a point 3 m away from his torso. Once that was done, he proceeded onto the final phase of his field testing of the Soft Body manipulation jutsu to implement changes to experimental setup based on these findings and to commit them to his photographic memory. Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. Thus, Nikola was able to successfully learn the Soft Body Manipulation jutsu and then stopped to review the data he gleaned from these jutsu field testing trials.

After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Soft Body Manipulation - Surprise Whip technique next

Now that I have finished field testing the basic Soft Body Manipulation jutsu and have committed it to memory, next comes...Soft Body Manipulation - Surprise Whip...essentially a combative usage of the Soft Body Manipulation wherein the user makes their body malleable with the former and then uses it to perform swift and precise strikes...but at the same time, it seems this jutsu and its derivatives need a certain level of stamina minimum to perform effectively.

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using back to its upright position again, he then proceeded to execute the new Soft Body Manipulation - Surprise Whip jutsu he had set himself to learning now from the Ijutsu scrolls he had memorized before beginning this jutsu field testing session. To that end, he first executed the basic parent Soft Body Manipulation jutsu and then, while using his chakra to fluidly control and to direct his now more malleable and flexible body, he tried to strike at the training dummy repeatedly. Then, he stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu

Hmm, that worked out well, though perhaps, only because the training dummy is a static target...while in battle, it would be much more difficult to aim and hit properly...so perhaps, I shall have to be careful about when I choose to use it and should also focus on improving my max stamina levels...moreover, this particular jutsu derivative lacks power if the user lacks requisite physical strength...that is certainly going to be irksome...oh well, now then, to proceed to the next phase of testing and to perform more trial runs with this...

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared to do more trial runs with the new Soft Body Manipulation - Surprise Whip jutsu that he set himself to learning now. Through these next few, once again, he tested the jutsu to see what other data he could glean from its performance trial run and regarding that, he discovered that the efficient use of this derivative of the Soft Body Manipulation jutsu was also linked to his physical reflexes and coordination, so he made a mental note to improve on that as well. Once that was done, he proceeded onto the final phase of his field testing of the Soft Body Manipulation - Surprise Whip jutsu to implement changes to experimental setup based on these findings and to commit them to his photographic memory. Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. After resting briefly and contemplating which jutsu on the list to train next, Nikola finally decided to undertake learning of the Soft Body Modification - Writhing Agony Fangs technique next

Now that I have finished field testing the basic Soft Body Manipulation jutsu and its first derivative, the Soft Body Manipulation - Surprise Whip and have committed both to my memory, next comes...Soft Body Modification - Writhing Agony Fangs...essentially another combative usage of the Soft Body Manipulation wherein the user makes their body malleable with the former and then uses it to extend their neck towards the target to bite them after coating their teeth in medical chakra...but at the same time, it seems this derivative jutsu also needs a certain level of stamina minimum to perform effectively.

Nikola mused silently thus briefly, and after resetting the training dummy he was using back to its upright position again, he then proceeded to execute the new Soft Body Modification - Writhing Agony Fangs jutsu he had set himself to learning now from the Ijutsu scrolls he had memorized before beginning this jutsu field testing session. To that end, he first executed the basic parent Soft Body Manipulation jutsu and then, while using his chakra to fluidly control and to direct his now more malleable and flexible body, he extended his neck towards the training dummy and after coating his teeth with medical chakra, he bit down on his hand after extending the hand to a point located 3 m away for this first trial run. Then, he stopped to review these preliminary results of his field testing for this jutsu

Hmm, that worked out well, though perhaps, only because the training dummy is a static target...while in battle, it would be much more difficult to aim and hit properly...so perhaps, I shall have to be careful about when I choose to use it and should also focus on improving my max stamina levels...moreover, this particular jutsu derivative and its efficient performance also seems to be governed by my reflexes and coordination...but it is quite useful since it seems to debilitate the target...now then, to proceed to the next phase of testing and to perform more trial runs with this...

Musing thus silently, Nikola prepared to do more trial runs with the new Soft Body Modification - Writhing Agony Fangs jutsu that he set himself to learning now. Through these next few, once again, he tested the jutsu to see what other data he could glean from its performance trial run and regarding that, he discovered that the debilitating effect was actually repeatable and accumulated to impair the target's coordination...in this case himself. Once that was done, he proceeded onto the final phase of his field testing of the Soft Body Modification - Writhing Agony Fangs jutsu to implement changes to experimental setup based on these findings and to commit them to his photographic memory. Specifically, this was the repetitive performance of this jutsu to acquire both the mental as well as the physical memory for it to the required level to have finished learning it successfully. Thus, Nikola was able to successfully learn the Soft Body Modification - Writhing Agony Fangs jutsu and then stopped to review the data he gleaned from these jutsu field testing trials and then ended his field testing session since he had done a good day's work by this point. After that, he headed out of the Grand Konoha Training Facility and then back to the Aburame Clan compound, looking forward to a long rest.
