Azrael would let out a sigh as he moved through the forest that made up a part of the training grounds of Kirigakure surrounded by his chakra ghost as was normal for the angel of death, he was still unsure how long this body had been on ice, but he knew he needed to train to ensure he was at full strength. "We must grow stronger, this one has grown weak in our absence, We must make this one strong again." his voice soft like a whisper yet echoing thoughout all of his chakra ghost in unison as he spoke giving it an echo like effect as he spoke to himself. Though of course there in lied the problem, without someone to use the technique on there was no real way to test the strength of the technique he was attempting. Though he was not as skilled with Ninjutsu as he was Genjutsu, Azrael had seen a few techniques that he believed could be useful in such a situation, he just hoped he could do it properly or else it would not really matter. He began by forming a string of hand seals before focusing his chakra into creating a second version of himself in front of him, it was not an instant process by any means, and would take the young phantom several minutes before he was able to get the clone to form with the proper amount of chakra distributed to it so that its form was kept. 'This is much harder than the illusional clones' he thought to himself after finally finishing the shadow clone and looking it over. He already felt himself to be weaker than when he used illusions just in the creation of the clone, he had no idea it would be so taxing on his body to do something like this, but he had to hope that it was worth it as it was the only way for him to practice his Genjutsu.
They would both nod to each other before moving away from the other to give a bit of distance between them before they would begin. "Shall we begin?" the male would ask himself, as his clone would simply nod before both would form a separate string of handseals before unleashing their own respectful techniques on the other. As the original Azrael would disappear into a large amount of flower petals, the Azrael clone would release a burst of chakra that would change the way the forest around them looked and Azrael realized it was going to be next to impossible to truly trap either of him in an actual genjutsu. He knew all the tricks when it came to them, he knew the moves that he could do and he knew how to defend against them, meaning he wouldn't be able to truly test the techniques strength on himself. They would need to find a different way to train them, perhaps by finding an unsuspecting civilian that he could use his techniques to scare a little. Though that would be more for fun than actually testing its strength, he needed another shinobi that didn't know about him or his genjutsu skills. But considering there was no one else around they would have to settle on fighting each other, though perhaps he was going about it all wrong. Maybe he needed to rethink this plan and instead try learning more physical types of chakra manipulation like the shadow clone, though that already took a lot out of him, if all ninjutsu were as draining as that he was unsure, he would be able to do much but still he would try, genjutsu was easy for him, he had done it all his life it came natural to him and wasn't draining on him in the least, but he would never know unless he tried and at the same time both Azrael's would end their respective techniques that they were casting and approached each other. The shadow clone had served its purpose for the time, with it he was able to try out at least a couple of techniques and ensure that his skills were still on par with what they should be. Though he would have liked to try out more it was becoming painfully obvious that this one's skills with genjutsu and techniques therein was too high to try to train techniques such as those by using it against them. Ending the Shadow clone, Azrael regained what chakra it had left on it as he wondered what he would do next.
