Since Arthur was born as a member of the Tsuchigumo clan, his true form is inhuman in nature, that being a giant, sentient, chakra-bearing and using spider that can easily switch back and forth between his true spider form and his false human form at will. Arthur's spider form is that of a 'Goliath Bird-Eating Tarantula' which is also referred to as "Theraphosa blondi". Unlike that of his mundane counterpart from the wild which is typically 30.4 cm (0.99 ft.) long, however, Arthur's spider body is far larger at 1.5 m (4.90 ft.) in length and 75.0 cm (2.46 ft.) in width, of course not including the length of its legs. Arthur's spider body is also far heavier at 47.4 kg (104.5 lb.) than that of his mundane counterpart from the wild which is 175.0 g (0.39 lb.) in weight. Finally, his spider body always has a sweet-smelling aroma around it as a side-effect from the special poisons it produces within itself as part of the traits he has inherited from his parents in the "Otrovni" caste of which he has been a part of since birth onward.

Arthur's human form is that of a lean, reasonably toned, 1.91 m (6' 3") tall young man who has jet-black hair, sallow skin tone, and coal-black eyes which always seem to have a hollow expression unless he happens to be indulging his sweet tooth or solving mysteries. Due to his Tsuchigumo bloodline, he weighs only 54.4 kg (120.0 lb.) as opposed to a regular human male of his height and age. The most noticeable feature of his person would be the noticeable dark bags below each of his eyes which is a result of his near chronic sleep deprivation which, in turn, is because he spends so much of his free time training himself in the arts of a detective and also due to his ninja work. The other rather distinguishing feature about his person is the slew of scars and suture lines he has gotten all over his body from head to toe due to all the injuries he has sustained over the course of his ninja studies and work thus far, despite being a mere Genin.
In terms of attire, Arthur's choices are very much dependent upon factors such as the current season, the kind of work he happens to be engaged in, the environment he happens to be in at any given time, and just general degree of practicality and utility rather than being influenced by any sort of high fashion trends in vogue at any time. For instance, if its summer, he would be wearing light-colored and heat-dissipating clothes where as if it were winter, he would obviously be dressed in thicker, heat-trapping clothes instead. On the other hand, for example, if he is off-duty and does not have any mystery solving work or ninja work to undertake; then he prefers to dress in mainly casual civilian clothes like t-shirts and shorts or trousers. For his regular ninja work, he would, of course, wear the cookie cutter Kumogakure ninja uniform whereas if he were involved in solving some mystery or another, he would wear the stereotypical detective attire (i.e., formal shirt, formal pants, patent leather formal shoes, trench coat, and the all-important deerstalker hat).
Additionally, for instance, he would naturally choose to don whitish hue-bearing clothes if in a snowy locale as opposed to the usual forest camouflage color bearing outfits if he were in a wooded environment. Meanwhile, if he were to be in a desert, then as would be expected, he would be wearing mostly tan and brownish hue-bearing clothes instead. Finally, for formal occasions, he would naturally wear the standard traditional Japanese attire while any inclement weather would prompt him to wear weather-resistant clothes and any exotic locations such as beaches and the like, he would be wearing attire most suitable to those places and/or settings. Naturally, in his spider form, he would not be wearing any manner of clothing because spiders have no need of such things, and due to the inherent frailty of his Tsuchigumo spider nature, Arthur is incapable of donning any metallic armor, attire pieces, and using metallic ninja gear, instead being restricted to non-metallic variants of both of these.

History:
Arthur was born not as a human, but rather as a sentient, chakra-bearing and using spider of the "Tsuchigumo" lineage as were all of his other fellow spiders from said lineage. As was the case with the rest of his fellow "Tsuchigumo" spiders, he too took the form of a specific species of spider, his being the "Goliath Bird-Eating Tarantula" which is otherwise known as "Theraphosa blondi". His childhood was spent in growing with the rest of the members of the "Brood", specifically with the rest of his "Otrovni" caste brethren, and in fully mastering the two most basic arts of the "Tsuchigumo" bloodline. The first of these was the "Tsuchigumo" clan ability that was called "Wallcrawling" and this was one that allowed them to walk on any solid surfaces effortlessly without chakra expenditure and on non-solid surfaces as well with minimal chakra expenditure and effort. The other was one that was called "Shapeshifting" and this was one that was designed to allow them to take on their human forms upon mastery as well as to allow them to switch back and forth between their spider and human forms at will.
After he had mastered those two basic "Tsuchigumo" arts and the more "Otrovni" caste specific arts since he was born into that caste, he was allowed to leave the "Brood" and make his way out into the larger ninja world and towards human civilization. After that, Arthur spent the next several years wandering the ninja world from one place to the next and staying in one human settlement after another, mostly in minor nations. During this time, he began to study the basics of the chakra-using arts practiced by the ninja among the humans as well as some scrolls he had received from his clan elders of the "Otrovni" caste before leaving. He also eventually managed to procure a sizeable fund of money and a small business to go along with it for the purposes of maintaining it via the various small tasks and errands he did for the people around him in said minor nations. Alas, that peace did not last long for on his 16th birthday, the locals in one of those minor nations where he had been residing up till then had somehow figured out that he was not human, which then led to them driving him off due to their fear.
However, even though he was driven off eventually, Arthur did retain all the information he has assimilated and the skills he picked up during this time as well as the high familiarity with the ins and out of dealing with urban environments of all sorts. The other thing he retained was his obsession with being a detective that he had gained by reading various famous mystery novels sold in the minor nations he had been to and which made him into an irredeemable detective nerd. This would prove to be a major influencing factor in his life from then on, but after this rather untimely departure, Arthur decided that it would be best to affiliate himself with a major ninja village since those seemed to be the most stable and accepting of differences as well as being more potent military-wise. To that end, he went to and got himself permanent citizenship in "Kumogakure no Sato" or the "Hidden Cloud Village" in "Kaminari no Kuni" aka the "Lightning Country" since that was the closest ninja village to where he was staying before.
Once he finished his integration process into Kumogakure no Sato's society, Arthur was later adopted into the Chinoike clan therein in due course and was then enrolled in the Kumo ninja academy. From then on, he devoted himself to becoming fully thorough with the ways of humans and even more specifically with ninja culture of the Kumogakure variety. Apart from that, he also threw himself wholeheartedly into his obsession with becoming a talented amateur detective as well as his ninja studies which eventually caused him to graduate among the top of his batch due to his above average intelligence and his other mental and physical abilities. Naturally, the source of financial support for all this came from the store of money he had been saving up all the while he was wandering the world looking for a place to set down roots. Since graduating from the Academy at the age of 19 years old, he has entered the ranks of the Kumogakure ninja as a freshly minted Genin after having mastered the basics of Summoning, Ninjutsu (both regular and elemental, the latter of the Earth style for now) with a much lesser degree of proficiency in both and Genjutsu and Taijutsu. With these, he hopes to make a name for himself henceforth over the course of his impending career as a Kumogakure ninja.

Due to his Tsuchigumo bloodline, he weighs only 54.4 kg (120.0 lb.) as opposed to a regular human male of his height and age. The most noticeable feature of his person would be the noticeable dark bags below each of his eyes which is a result of his near chronic sleep deprivation which, in turn, is because he spends so much of his free time training himself in the arts of a detective and also due to his ninja work. The other rather distinguishing feature about his person is the slew of scars and suture lines he has gotten all over his body from head to toe due to all the injuries he has sustained over the course of his ninja studies and work thus far, despite being a mere Genin.
In terms of attire, Arthur's choices are very much dependent upon factors such as the current season, the kind of work he happens to be engaged in, the environment he happens to be in at any given time, and just general degree of practicality and utility rather than being influenced by any sort of high fashion trends in vogue at any time. For instance, if its summer, he would be wearing light-colored and heat-dissipating clothes where as if it were winter, he would obviously be dressed in thicker, heat-trapping clothes instead. On the other hand, for example, if he is off-duty and does not have any mystery solving work or ninja work to undertake; then he prefers to dress in mainly casual civilian clothes like t-shirts and shorts or trousers. For his regular ninja work, he would, of course, wear the cookie cutter Kumogakure ninja uniform whereas if he were involved in solving some mystery or another, he would wear the stereotypical detective attire (i.e., formal shirt, formal pants, patent leather formal shoes, trench coat, and the all-important deerstalker hat).
Additionally, for instance, he would naturally choose to don whitish hue-bearing clothes if in a snowy locale as opposed to the usual forest camouflage color bearing outfits if he were in a wooded environment. Meanwhile, if he were to be in a desert, then as would be expected, he would be wearing mostly tan and brownish hue-bearing clothes instead. Finally, for formal occasions, he would naturally wear the standard traditional Japanese attire while any inclement weather would prompt him to wear weather-resistant clothes and any exotic locations such as beaches and the like, he would be wearing attire most suitable to those places and/or settings. Naturally, in his spider form, he would not be wearing any manner of clothing because spiders have no need of such things, and due to the inherent frailty of his Tsuchigumo spider nature, Arthur is incapable of donning any metallic armor, attire pieces, and using metallic ninja gear, instead being restricted to non-metallic variants of both of these.

History:
Arthur was born not as a human, but rather as a sentient, chakra-bearing and using spider of the "Tsuchigumo" lineage as were all of his other fellow spiders from said lineage. As was the case with the rest of his fellow "Tsuchigumo" spiders, he too took the form of a specific species of spider, his being the "Goliath Bird-Eating Tarantula" which is otherwise known as "Theraphosa blondi". His childhood was spent in growing with the rest of the members of the "Brood", specifically with the rest of his "Otrovni" caste brethren, and in fully mastering the two most basic arts of the "Tsuchigumo" bloodline. The first of these was the "Tsuchigumo" clan ability that was called "Wallcrawling" and this was one that allowed them to walk on any solid surfaces effortlessly without chakra expenditure and on non-solid surfaces as well with minimal chakra expenditure and effort. The other was one that was called "Shapeshifting" and this was one that was designed to allow them to take on their human forms upon mastery as well as to allow them to switch back and forth between their spider and human forms at will.
After he had mastered those two basic "Tsuchigumo" arts and the more "Otrovni" caste specific arts since he was born into that caste, he was allowed to leave the "Brood" and make his way out into the larger ninja world and towards human civilization. After that, Arthur spent the next several years wandering the ninja world from one place to the next and staying in one human settlement after another, mostly in minor nations. During this time, he began to study the basics of the chakra-using arts practiced by the ninja among the humans as well as some scrolls he had received from his clan elders of the "Otrovni" caste before leaving. He also eventually managed to procure a sizeable fund of money and a small business to go along with it for the purposes of maintaining it via the various small tasks and errands he did for the people around him in said minor nations. Alas, that peace did not last long for on his 16th birthday, the locals in one of those minor nations where he had been residing up till then had somehow figured out that he was not human, which then led to them driving him off due to their fear.
However, even though he was driven off eventually, Arthur did retain all the information he has assimilated and the skills he picked up during this time as well as the high familiarity with the ins and out of dealing with urban environments of all sorts. The other thing he retained was his obsession with being a detective that he had gained by reading various famous mystery novels sold in the minor nations he had been to and which made him into an irredeemable detective nerd. This would prove to be a major influencing factor in his life from then on, but after this rather untimely departure, Arthur decided that it would be best to affiliate himself with a major ninja village since those seemed to be the most stable and accepting of differences as well as being more potent military-wise. To that end, he went to and got himself permanent citizenship in "Kumogakure no Sato" or the "Hidden Cloud Village" in "Kaminari no Kuni" aka the "Lightning Country" since that was the closest ninja village to where he was staying before.
Once he finished his integration process into Kumogakure no Sato's society, Arthur was later adopted into the Chinoike clan therein in due course and was then enrolled in the Kumo ninja academy. From then on, he devoted himself to becoming fully thorough with the ways of humans and even more specifically with ninja culture of the Kumogakure variety. Apart from that, he also threw himself wholeheartedly into his obsession with becoming a talented amateur detective as well as his ninja studies which eventually caused him to graduate among the top of his batch due to his above average intelligence and his other mental and physical abilities. Naturally, the source of financial support for all this came from the store of money he had been saving up all the while he was wandering the world looking for a place to set down roots. Since graduating from the Academy at the age of 19 years old, he has entered the ranks of the Kumogakure ninja as a freshly minted Genin after having mastered the basics of Summoning, Ninjutsu (both regular and elemental, the latter of the Earth style for now) with a much lesser degree of proficiency in both and Genjutsu and Taijutsu. With these, he hopes to make a name for himself henceforth over the course of his impending career as a Kumogakure ninja.

Arthur has always been a highly curious, intuitive and observant individual right from childhood and this manifests itself in his almost unrivalled obsession for the consistent pursuit and study of anything and/or anyone that is mysterious, oftentimes the more abstruse and obscure the better it is for him. It also manifests itself in his love of the detective arts and skills which he loves to apply to solving said mysteries he comes across. This is because he is one who possesses an insatiable craving for mental exertion and because he realizes how crucial this sort of curiosity and intuitiveness are to being a successful detective. However, this curiosity of his can be a double-edged sword because, while it does give him the ability to consistently immerse himself as deep as possible in the study and pursuit of whatever it is that interests him, it can also be quite a drawback because it also causes him to stick his nose in where it does not belong frequently enough to get him into trouble with his superiors and others in his acquaintance.
Courageous:
Arthur has always been a courageous individual right from childhood and this manifests itself in his consistent willingness to risk contending with almost all degrees of danger for the sake of indulging his intense obsession for all the mysteries in the world. This is because he realizes full well that the pursuit of true mystery requires the daringness to stand firm in the face of the unknown and all its various perils and because he realizes how crucial being courageous is to being a successful detective. However, this courageous nature of his can be a double-edged sword because, while it does allow him to successfully brave almost all ordeals in any of his given venture from start to finish, it can also be quite a drawback because it also makes him often unable to know where to draw the line in contending with these various risks, thought it does not mean that he is completely reckless.

Arthur has been a fairly honorable individual right from childhood and this manifests itself in his consistent observance of integrity, loyalty, and honesty in most situations. This is because he realizes how crucial having a firm moral compass is to being a successful detective. However, this mostly honorable nature of his can be a double-edged sword because, while it does make him highly resistant if not immune to taking bribes and other forms of compensation from others in exchange for whatever nefarious favors to them which protects him from getting into trouble later on and also allows him to have some kind of moral compass, albeit a basic one; it can also be quite a drawback since it puts him at a disadvantage against those who would not hesitate to do anything and everything in their power to achieve their objectives, even if those means they use are less than savory in nature.
