Appearance: Aoigetsu is a lean girl with a short bob cut of white hair, blue under tones that shine through when her hair is tussled about. She's noted for sharing many common features with the Hozuki, namely body build and hair color. She commonly wears looser clothing to throw away as emergency substitution jutsu material. She can be found normally carrying an umbrella, thermos, and several water bottles strapped to her body in different locations.
History: Born to the Hozuki family in Kirigakure, Aoigetsu grew up with a rambunctious pair of brothers who often made her the butt of their jokes, even during her schooling and ninja academy phase. Waking up surrounded by dried out sponges when she was starting to develop her kekkei genkai was one such case.
Growing up, Aoigetsu enjoyed a developing hobby of completing collections, starting with rare coins. This grew into collecting other things and eventually a resolve to both collect the seven swords of the mist, and to one day serve as the squire of the Seven Swordsmen.
She became a ninja not out of a great desire or goal, but to get a chance to explore more of the world, with hopes of finding something she wants to do besides collecting things, her aimlessness in this regard had stunted her development as a ninja, though she has since managed to find a team that is willing to help her along her path to becoming someone greater.
Personality: Aoigetsu is a girl with an abundance of energy and bombastic exuberance, usually expressing her interest in collecting things: anything that is. Whether it's coins, cards, swords, The Seven Swords of the Mist, if they can be called a collectible item, Aoigetsu has an interest in completing at least one set of them.
She has a penchant for other girls, though she normally shows this in strange ways. Such as sneaking peeks into bathhouses (Despite being female herself). Her awkwardness and roundabout forwardness with this has made her an endearing figure and often referred to as 'adorable' by others in her social circles.
Aoigetsu has a second personality that she tends to adopt when out on missions. Stemming from a childhood trauma of being struck by lightning, Aoigetsu hides 'herself' within what can be called a self-imposed genjutsu, walling off inside of her own mind while letting a monotonous and placid character take over, one who simply addresses each and every task for a mission, regardless of the outcome or consequence to others. This calm and somewhat sadistic side has earned her a few nicknames such as "The Phantom of the Undertow" for her preference to overwhelm and drown foes.
She does have a bit of a clueless side that plays into both halves of her persona; simply being unable to understand turns of phrase or doing things that make her stand out from her Hozuki heritage.
