Painting that Damn Fence

Paint the Fence:

Shin had returned to Shigeo’s house, not even twenty-four hours had passed since he was last here. With Shin having just put up the fence the previous day, all that remained was painting the fence, white as chosen by the wife of Shigeo. Shin, not wanting to question the details of his job, accepted that white would be the colour of the fence and promptly began his work on the structure he set up. With the panes of wood already having been sanded, Shin’s job simply was to paint, and ensure the paint did not get on other areas that Shigeo did not want to be painted; such as his clothes. For such an occasion, Shin had worn clothes he had planned to throw away, as they were no longer suited for everyday wear having suffered through wear and tear on his journey from Kumogakure.

Shin would start with covering the entirety of the fence with the primer that was provided to him by the clients. After spending quite some time doing that, Shin would then begin the painting process in a similar fashion to what he did with the primer; just start at one end of the fence and make his way around. Eventually, before the sun would be setting and with daylight to spare, Shin would eventually have finished painting the fence. He would inform Shigeo that the job was done. After a quick inspection of his work, Shigeo let him go, satisfied with his white painted fence.
