Yoru Gets Some God Damn Octopods [Mission]

It was a warm afternoon in Kirigakure, one made all the more warm by the otherwise crisp winter air that had made all the previous ones chilly to the bone. It seemed that for once there was a break in the gray clouds that had hung over the island city for a great deal of time. Yoru Slim, ever one to enjoy the indoors, became forced to admit that the day was too nice for him to be cooped up inside for. What to do though? With the Chunin Exams coming up and the preparations for his puppet still being made, he didn't have the free time to go lollygagging with friends on a nice day off! What's more, he, uhh, didn't really have any friends to invite or be invited by to go do things with. Instead, not really knowing what to do but still feeling guilty locking himself away inside his apartment, Yoru set out for the Mizukage building.

The mission he was given upon arriving was a bit of a strange choice. Yoru was certainly no fisherman, yet that was exactly what he was being asked to do by this client! Normally, he'd have gone to meet the client in person at his stall, but with the details of the mission claiming that the stranger was too busy to do much of anything, Yoru opted to just begin the task proper and go from there. The red-head walked down to the Hozuki Fisheries, climbing onto the tide pools and rocks that stretched a bit out to sea. He rolled his pants up and stepped lively and gingerly, keeping an eye out for the telltale appeareance of Octopodes slithering.

After a bit of hunting, and no small amount of getting caught in some small waves whilst out on the tidepool rocks, Yoru found his first specimin. It was a big juicey boy, yet moved with a deceptive speed when he tried to pick it up. Frustrated at the slippery creature's escape tactics, Yoru moved an outstretched hand, "Trying to pull a fast one and make a slow escape to the sea, eh? I don't think so!" He decreed, creating a series of chakra strings that lifted the Octopod clean out of the water and tossed it through the air into a bucket nearby. Well, he knew how to catch these things now a tleast.

Yoru would go on for the rest of the day, catching another 14 Octopods as requested by the mission-giver. By the time night fell, he'd return to the market with a full bucket of wriggling half-dead octopods to be made into Taoyaki.

The merchant gave a hearty thanks of appreciation, taking the bucket off Yoru's hands and allowing him to return to the Mizukage's office and complete the mission. What a fishy fiasco of a day!
