With the meager happenings in the village going on, Kanna felt as though she could do her own things. As her schedule was in her hands for once, she spent the afternoon sorting some things out, finding some old textbooks she had lying around by her desk. Donned with a simple black blouse and her hair up in a messy bun, she took a seat on the edge of her bed while within her bedroom, silently pushing through page after page until... huh. Her eyes lit up with surprise.
"Ah, so this is where it went." She remarks with a sense of familiarity. Well-annotated notes deducing the functions and innerworkings of vaguely-developed techniques in the textbook spanned from page to page, often written in light pink highlighter. Her index finger presses upon one page in particular, tracing just below the words and occasionally attracting her gaze to the red tint that her nail's been painted. Under normal circumstance with the directions and elaboration on the technique in the outdated textbook she would've had no idea what she was looking at, but alas, those notes came in handy.
It wasn't long until she was capable of coherrently summarizing the technique. She'd been trying to learn it for a long time, but up until now hadn't really possessed the mandatory talent needed. So it was safe to say she had this textbook around for a few years; possibly when she was still a Genin. Now that she was starting to delve into the sealing arts, it shouldn't hurt to give a go at trying out the technique, right? With that optimism put in place she lowers the textbook to her side, closing it and tucking away a little bookmark. She'd be reading this textbook for later.
Keeping what she reviewed in mind, Kanna starts up by gathering chakra to her fingertips. The essence bundles up and shifts, before making itself apparent. Blue flames light up upon each of her digits, with the white outline of various kanji donning a presence in each flame. Preferring to demonstrate whether she'd done it properly, she stands up and ambles forward, grasping on a scroll upon her dresser. She pries it open with a single hand, keeping the other at her side.
Once opening it up and exposing the seal to her visage, she inhales for a moment. And without a moment of hesitation, extends her arm out and plunges her fingertips into the sealing formula. The flames broaden and expand outward, suddenly encompassing the outline of the seal as they quickly spread along it's formula. A brief plume of smoke causes the five shuriken within the seal to be ejected from the domain they were once in, and slowly but surely the seal eroded away until it was no more, along with the flames.
"... I guess I can count that as properly done." Kanna utters faintly, grasping at some ink and a quill so she can begin drawing the seal again. When she does eventually complete that task, she seals the shuriken away again and rolls the scroll back up. "Might as well get a move on." She mutters to herself, deciding that she won't be completely unproductive today. With that in mind, she strips down, starting to don her usual attire; robes and a vest, to practice a few techniques--one of which she'd recently developed.
Soon she does manage to slip into her full attire, at which point she makes a swift exit from her home and begins to spring along the rooftops of establishments and residents alike, swiflty arriving at the training fields--where she'll carry out the rest of her training.
