Bounty hunters, Tamwyn hated them and he always ended up getting a disgusted look on his face when he dealt with them. They had no real moral code and only really cared about the money. At least when it came to the crew of the Serenity they didn’t do things that weren’t ‘right’. It also helped that the crew of the Serenity, or at least Capt. Reynolds, had a pretty good notion of what was ‘right’ in the world in most cases. This bounty hunter though, Jubal Early? No code at all. He was willing to take a job to kidnap a girl from her only living family and take her to the Alliance after all, so what kind of code could he realistically be expected to have? Tamwyn stood facing the man in the dining hall. The majority of the crew had already been either knocked out or locked in locations. Removing them from the engagement. Yenn was nearby, and her job was to be River’s last line of defense in case Tamwyn somehow managed to fuck up dealing with a ‘bounty hunter’.
Sighing as he eyed the man who seemed to have a penchant for red leather, Tamwyn would speak. “This doesn’t end well for you ya know. You can still go, if you choose to I promise not to snap your head around like an owl..” He would say, his tone calm and neutral, adding to the intimidation factor of the threat. Jubal held his twin kunai with competence, in a low stance and light on his toes. He didn’t drop his guard as he spoke. “Not gonna happen, I’ve been hired to get her and take her back to the Alliance. You expect me to just walk away? Is that right?” He’d ask, his face and tone becoming curious and almost disbelieving at the end. Tamwyn would sigh and drop into a stance, Ambush of Xuen, his preferred. “Have it your way..” He said simply, readying his body to move.
