Mission Name: Swords, Ropes, And Panties part 2

Mission Goal: Find the illegal underground brothel.
Retrieve the hostages.
Take criminals into custody.
Criminals must not be killed, mission results in an instant fail if done so.
Description: You have found out the identity of the culprit behind the kidnappings, a relatively new gang of Yakuza called the Makimoto gang have been abducting young women, forcing them to do sex work in the illegal brothels as well as selling their muscle to the legal brothels.
Payment: 15,000
Requirements: Genin+ (Rodent Maze mission must be complete.)

What was it with all these missions that specifically ordered them not to kill the bad guys? It was annoying, although Tamwyn would never say as such out loud. Frankly he felt like criminals that dealt in such things as the sex trade should be killed or at least gelded. That would certainly teach the cruel and inhumane little monsters. Still, he wasn’t pleased that there even establishments like brothels that were legal. Still, their following of the man from before had led them to their little hidey hole and had given them the information they had wanted. It would appear a new gang of Yakuza, seriously why did these guys keep popping up, called the ‘Makimoto Gang’ were in town and abducting women and forcing them into illegal brothels. Well, it was Tamwyn and Yenns job to retrieve the hostages and take the criminals into custody, without killing them again. Seriously though, if they didn’t kill these Yakuza fuckers they would just keep being problems for everyone.

Still, ordered were orders. So Tamwyn made his way into the illegal brothel, which they had followed the abducted girl to. Yenn would be somewhere not far from him, his sensory said so, and we all know that’s some meta shit. But anyway, he would move into the illegal brothel, and of course no one would stop him because they thought ‘Hey! Customer!’ Of course, they were wrong. But they couldn’t know that. So when Tamwyn simply hauled off and socked the first guy he came across in the jaw and knocked him out no one would really be expecting it. He kept the momentum going and continued to lay into people, letting Yenn cover his ‘blind spots’ which basically equated to wherever she could reach that he easily couldn’t because he didn’t really have ‘blind spots’ when sensing targets that couldn’t even hide their residual chakra signatures.

They had reported their findings. Found the bad guys. And for some fucking unknown goddamned stupid reason they were supposed to not kill them. Yenn had been furious. Still was. Bandits were fair game as far as killing was concerned, but a well established gang of criminals in the city were off limits? Because why exactly? It made absolutely no sense to her and she had fumed all the way back to the illegal brothel. It just pointed out further corruption in the village, that anyone that lived in it was somehow ‘protected’ from real repercussions.

She could see that Tamwyn was equally fed up as they entered the establishment and without so much as a ‘hey you fucks’ punched a guy square in the jaw. Yenn didn’t so much do the punching thing, but she did very much enjoy the lightning thing and would set about not killing the Makimoto Gang members. There weren’t too many that she got to knock out, Tamwyn was far more efficient than she was, but she was at least able to deliver some type of justice in the form of what would end up being mild headaches in a comfy jail. Thunder rumbled in the distance as she worked her way around the room, knocking out thugs and muttering under her breath in anger.

Tamwyn could hear the proof of Yenns anger in the very sky itself as thunder rumbled in the distance. That made three times where she was either angry or otherwise emotionally ‘unwell’ as it were where a storm had begun and he was beginning to see it as a pattern and not coincidence. The first time had been in the cave, the second time had been at Moonspire, and now this time. If it happened one more time or so he would decide that it really was tied to her and bring it up. He doubted she even realized it was happening. Either way though, it didn’t matter at the moment. Tamwyn moved through the illegal brothel like a storm in his own right only his involved less lightning. He knocked out thug after worthless thug and eventually between Yenn and himself they would knock the men out. Tamwyn would move through this brothel, what, was this a third time he’d done this in the past few days? Freeing all of the kidnapped women and telling them that they were free to go. The women thanked him, hugging him and crying after he freed them and he returned their hugs, letting them get their feelings out before sending them on their way. Once that was all done he would step out in the main room.

“I suppose we’re ‘taking these guys into custody’” He would say with a disgusted look on his face before stepping outside and wordlessly, and seal-lessly firing up a lightning flare that signaled the authorities that it was clear to come in now. Within moments uniformed men and women would come into the illegal brothel and begin cuffing the unconscious criminals and carrying them. Tamwyn would turn toward Yenn and nod his head toward the door, wanting to get the hell out of dodge and put this mission behind them. “What do you say to a hot bath at home to relax and unwind?” He would ask, such baths were a marvel during a storm and always seemed to make things more relaxing. Regardless, he would beckon her to follow him outside before he would envelop her in his arms and unfurl his wings and fly them away toward home, another mission complete.

Yenn was trembling with anger as she stood there and waited for the police to come in and dispense ‘justice’. The whole scene was sickening to her. They had managed to eventually save the women who had been kidnapped and were being held against their will. But for what? The people who had done this were likely not going to be punished and even if they were she could see it just as easily being a fine or a slap on the wrist rather than any semblance of true justice. She would shake her head as she stood near Tamwyn. “I hate everything about this.” She spoke quietly so that only he would hear her, she was at least socially aware enough that if certain people overheard her it wouldn’t be good. If the people they had just saved heard then they’d probably end up feeling worse than they already did, and if the police did. . . well. She wasn’t certain what sort of reaction would be given at a shinobi expressing distaste at their work.

She would politely nod at any passing police, trying her best to not glare at them for what she considered to be subpar work. She would cross her arms and survey them cuffing the thugs, the storm clouds overhead mirroring her newfound doubt in the integrity of the hidden village. She had always been bitter and resentful towards her own clan, that had been with her since she was six years old. But this feeling of the village as a whole being inadequate and failing to provide basic safety to its citizens was new and had shaken the hope that she had held that outside of her district's walls was a better city. Tamwyn’s suggestion of a hot bath sounded like exactly what she needed, and she would nod and embrace him eagerly as he unfurled his wings and they flew off towards their home.
