- The Gate Zero System is a complex system of Fuinjutsu designed to act as an artificial Gate on the chakra network within the human body. This system was created for the purpose of controlling the chakra of those are deemed unable to do so themselves to keep it from harming themselves and others around them. In normal circumstances, the Gate Zero acts as a dampener for the bearer's chakra, silently regulating the output and allow the persona to live normally without fear. In a shinobi, it restricts the flow of chakra to safe levels, preventing the bearer from wasting chakra when performing jutsu. In Naota's case, an untested prototype system was used, one that was designed for particularly violent chakra. While the system was successful in stablizing his chakra flow, however Naota cannot perform Ninjutsu externally without use of a medium through which to channel his chakra.
