Nozomi's massive water jutsu was surprisingly effective in an arena where there was nowhere to backtrack. With her opponent in the air, and both hands occupied, there was precious little he could do but get swept away by the massive wave of water, buffeted and ragdolled for a couple of seconds. She watched him resurface, catching his breath, and she had to admit that he had some guts to continue trying to fight against what they both knew as inevitable.
He couldn't be feeling too good, at this point having already been hit by a powerful strike from Nozomi, enhanced even further with a Raiton jutsu, and now the pummeling from a wave of water. He must have had some durability to withstand that and still come up ready to fight, but she was putting in the work to take him down as well, so at the very least, she had that going for her. Generally her fighting style was one of whittling down an opponent over time, rather than using a single grandiose attack, but she could do that if she wanted to.
As her hands were behind her back at the time of Rin's resurfacing, she watched him stand back up, and begin to form some hand seals. She formed one of her own, the half tiger in preparation for a body flicker, although he wouldn't be able to see her doing anything at all in response. As he released his jutsu, Nozomi would appear to be a blur of movement, travelling at a massive speed, easily out pacing the wind jutsu, leaving behind a spray of water as she moved. She travelled diagonally forward, moving towards him, but to the side, not running directly at the jutsu, as that would be incredibly stupid. Forming new hand seals as she did so, Nozomi would have crossed half the distance to him, just at a different point on their axis.
She was moving at a speed of 175 m/s, crossing the distance in less than half a second, already forming a single handseal as she stopped, a spray of water as she came to a sudden stop moving towards the audience, and momentarily obscuring her as well before falling back, rejoining the rest of the pool. When she was no longer obscured by this wave and spray of water, Rin would find that Nozomi had multiplied to 3 separate Nozomi's. In reality, there were 4, but in the instant it took for her water clones to form, Nozomi had slid one into the water, merging with it and becoming invisible to the naked eye.
2 of the clones formed similar hand seals, while Nozomi was prepared for a defensive jutsu if she needed to use it. They all moved as a unit, slipping about 20 meters to the left from the invisible clone, who was moving towards Rin at a C rank speed, which was all she could really muster without breaking the illusion of her jutsu. They would keep up the appearance that she wasn't there, as well as draw any return fire, while staying within 25 meters of Nozomi. But Rin would have other things to worry about. Monkey, Bird, Yang Water, Rat, Boar, Bird, Nozomi's two clone's hands shifted through the signs for the Water Dragon Bullet jutsu, a smirk on her faces. She'd met Rin when she had arrived in the village, and he seemed interested in dragons, so she'd give him a couple to deal with.
As they formed the last seal, Rin would have begun to serpentine his movements, trying to keep within 100 meters of her. Luckily, she'd closed quite a gap herself earlier, so he was probably about 60 meters away from her, which worked out quite well for the Suiton user. It was just the same to her. Next to her clones, the water churned, and from either side of the group rose two massive dragons made of water, sailing up into the sky. They'd move up and over Rin, seeking to circle around behind him from the sides, to force him towards Nozomi's direction, one slamming into the water where he had been standing, the other staggered behind a few moments, assumedly to try and catch him if he managed to dodge.
Meanwhile, Nozomi and her group of clones advanced towards Rin, in almost a pincer movement, the dragons having added a third and forth area, to surround and overwhelm him. Only one way looked clear of enemies, but that's where Nozomi's 4th clone was hiding in wait. Nozomi reached into a pouch, pulling out 3 pills and popping them into her mouth, to help restore some of her chakra, although she would stop reaching towards the pouch if she needed to, to defend herself.
The hidden clone would have been waiting the entire time for the two dragons to bear down on Rin, and timing it so that Rin would be focused on the dragons, materialized underwater, forming a few handseals of her own. Hers would be the seals for Heaven's Water Convergence, which allowed her complete control over water, but she'd make it simply wrap up Rin's legs to keep him rooted to the water, as if he was captured by the water whip technique.
If everything went according to plan, the first dragon would smash into Rin, collapsing into nothing as it did so, and the second would follow up with it's own smash, although would be maintained, and take him slightly up and then back down, to collide with the surface of the water. In that event, Nozomi's 3 clones would return to the water they were made up of, and she'd wait to see the aftermath.
