    The Hayami Clan
    Sunagakure
    Kekkei Genkai: Swift Release (Jinton)
    ???

    Clan History/Description:

The Hayami have had a rather unremarkable clan history, having never ascended to a position of true power within the Land of Wind. It has been present since the beginning however, with its detailed history extending further back than even the founding of the Hyuga Empire. Before man was given the gift of chakra by the Sage himself, the Hayami made their living in the Land of Fire as a clan of lumberjacks. When the Sage came, a couple younger clan members went to hear him teach in the Land of Stone. While they were gone, a horrific fire ravaged their clan estates and decimated their numbers. The only ones left alive were the five would had gone to see the Sage, and upon discovering this, these five would move west into a new land for a new beginning.

Only three of the five possessed the Swift Release kekkei genkai, having discovered this unique ability after the Sage aided them in discovering their chakra. All five focused on preserving their clan name over anything else, with following generations following suit. They established a new trade as couriers, with clan members utilizing their naturally higher speed and agility to deliver messages in the harsh landscape of the Land of Wind faster than camels or mules could hope to.

When the Kazehana began their scheming they reached out to the Hayami first out of any other clan in the Land of Wind. They wished to secure their lines of communication first and foremost, demanding the utmost secrecy. The price for this was steep, but the rich Kazehana could afford to pay it. With these hefty bribes, the Hayami were the first to swear allegiance to the Kazehana and the first step in that clan's journey to power.

Upon the successful completion of their takeover, the Kazehana awarded the Hayami with a noble title and a large estate near the border of their ancestral homelands once the Kazehana Kingdom completed its next series of conquests. These gifts and nods would do a great deal in drawing the Hayami into a close bond with the Kazehana. Eventually, clan members would raise quickly in the ranks of the military to become personal bodyguards to every Emir after the year 700 A.S. Even now, a Hayami is typically close to important members of the Kazehana dynasty either as a friend or a bodyguard.

They were one of the few clans spared in the leadership purge by the Bloody Emir, and even this madman couldn't shake their loyalty. The Hayami knew that monarchy was a roll of the dice, and this time they had gotten unlucky. The last few centuries of good treatment had endeared them and, perhaps, even spoiled them a little bit.

As shinobi of Sunagakure, the Hayami typically occupy higher ranking government offices not filled by a Kazehana. They are the bureaucrats of the Land of Wind, and to this day they still retain a near monopoly over message ferrying services throughout the Land of Wind. Those not in the swamp of bureaucracy tend to favor military careers. Many of these take jobs as scouts utilizing their unique bloodline, and most of these military minded clan members focus on close combat. This skill is what has made them coveted by the Kazehana for protection, as their skills rival even those of the great puppet masters of the Land of Wind. It's very likely that these skills will be of great use in the near future, as a new era is on the horizon on this eerily peaceful continent...

    Clan/Bloodline Traits & Characteristics:

The Hayami tend to have long silver hair and amethyst eyes although over the years miscegenation has diluted these characteristics. Hayami are often considered impatient and even a bit impulsive at times. Its clan members also tend to have a strong sense of direction and an impressive library of maps concerning the surrounding terrain. Their close relationship with the Kazehana and the prestige that has historically come with it have given them an air of superiority over other small clans but in recent years the Hayami have done much to mend this perception.

    Bloodline Description & Abilities:
The Hayami Clan's power is derived from Swift Release. Swift Release is an advanced element that is essentially a refinement of the Wind Release element. Swift Release allows the user to move their body at high speeds by acceleration and vibration. The Hayami Clan have mastered the art of high speed fighting and have an array of abilities related to vibration, momentum, and velocity. The Hayami's biology is designed for swift movement as a result they are granted a passive ++ to Speed. The Hayami's brains are also hardwired for keeping up with their own physical movement and as a result their perception is always boosted to whatever speed they are moving at for the sole purpose of avoiding tunnel vision and blur. The cost of unlocking Swift Release is 1000 experience points.

    Bloodline Limits & Drawbacks:
Swift Release in of itself is neutral against other element however it is important to note that Earth Release has a special relationship with Swift. Earth Release can shift the user's center of gravity and use their momentum against them in a variety of ways. Earth Release can also be used to clear a path or remove obstacles from a Hayami's path and as a result it has the capacity to hinder or help a Hayami's use of their kekkei genkai. Because the Hayami's bodies are naturally predisposed to Speed they have a harder time training their Strength. Experience costs for Strength are 25% higher.

    Clan Techniques:

    Name: Shadowless Flight
    Rank: A
    Power: A
    Activation Cost: N/A
    Upkeep Cost: 15
    Range: Self
    Speed: N/A
    Element: Swift Release
    Skill: Ninjutsu
    Classification: Clan Exclusive
    Requirements: Swift Release
    Parent Technique: N/A
    Hand Seals: Boar
Description: This is a foundational technique for Swift Release that allows the user to move at high speeds. The user utilizes Swift Release chakra to accelerate their body. While in use the user also creates a vibrates at a high frequency making it difficult to accurately predict their movement. The technique grants a ++ to Speed and Coordination. It also debuffs the opponent's Perception by a -- not only for the purpose of tracking but also against precognitive abilities including that of the Sharingan. This is because the user's vibrations cloak their actions and movement preventing even the most tactical minds of formulating a response preemptively.
Weaknesses: Shadowless Flight is subject to Swift Release's vulnerabilities to well placed Doton techniques. Additionally, it requires a surface to run on preferably a sturdy one. Surfaces with high viscosity like mud can slow down the user or turn their momentum against them.
