Clan Lore
- Spoiler:
The Gi Clan, or the Swords of Justice, are a clan whose origins can be traced back to the founding of the Bushido Code. Originating from the area that is now known as Tatsumura, at the time the East Kingdom, they were the law of the land for many centuries, keeping peace and prosperity. They kept to their areas for a long time until the Southern Kingdom decided that they wanted to take over the land, and the remaining three kingdoms would all respond in kind, leading to the War of Iron. The four clans were all fighting over influence and resources, knowing that whoever controlled the iron would control the future of the country.
The War of Iron would last for one hundred years until the leaders of each of the four main clans, The Fisei, The Meiyo, The Makato and of course the Gi Clan met at the central point of the Country, a region known as the Three Wolves Mountains. Here they would discuss peace, as it had been too long that the land and its people had suffered through the toils of war. Masaru Gi, the eldest of the four assembled, suggested that the four of them adopt a code that would include the tenants of all four clans, as well as other important beliefs that they would agree should rule the land, and it was from this meeting that the Bushido Code was created. This is cited as the official creation of the Samurai in the way that they exist now, also referred to as They Who Serve. The Samurai were created to protect the people of the newly renamed Iron Shogunate, or The Land of Iron.
The meeting included the election of the first ever Shogun of the country, which was the head of the Makato Clan, a woman named Kiyoko. It was decided that she would rule the Land of Iron, and that eventually it would be passed onto an apprentice of hers, who could not be of the same clan. This would ensure that the land would always have a fair leader, and that no one clan’s influence would ever rest too heavily on the land.
Until recently the Land of Iron enjoyed a period of peace, while the rest of the continent had taken up the Shinobi path, they had allowed the Bushido Code to govern them, and their samurai would stay neutral in all dealings between their more underhanded kin. The Gi view the Shinobi as a lawless people, and look down upon the constant crimes of their ways. They were the first clan to rush to the aid of the Northern Region of the country when the Shinobi from Kirigakure attacked. Unfortunately they did not manage to stop the flood of the land of water, and they were defeated, and the land raised. After the sacking of the Land of Iron, and the naming of the new Shogun by the leader of The Society, Nozomi, the Gi were the most hesitant, not liking the idea of an outsider being given control of their village. Eventually the four clans would agree, however, to back the new Shogun and they would assist in rebuilding the country, starting with the new capital of Tetsumura...
Bloodline Description
The Gi Clan above all else values reflecting on what is fair and right, and upholding the values of upstanding moral character. They are the truest blade, never wavering from their mission as they wish to ensure that the world is brought into compliance within that justice. They tend to be extremely empathetic and compassionate, taking into consideration the situations of others before deciding upon what is fair or right in a certain circumstance.
Sword of Justice Any weapon can be the Gi's Blade of Justice. The Gi places a part of their own soul into this weapon, turning this weapon into a living weapon. The weapon gains a simple form of sentience, knowing that it exists and will have their own thoughts and opinions. However, it will be entirely up to the user to give their weapon a name.
Requirements: Gi Clan, Bukijutsu/Kenjutsu/Kyujutsu Effect: The user is capable of crafting a single Kenjutsu weapon (see the Crafting Rules). Their weapon will begin at C-Rank in Quality and Hardness. The user is capable of increasing the strength of this weapon through EXP investments. Upon creating this Kenjutsu/Bukijutsu/Kyuujutsu weapon, the user must give the weapon a name. When creating this weapon, indicate this is a Gi Clan weapon and it will cost the user 0 Ryo. - First Tier: This weapon costs 0 EXP to obtain. This is a C-Rank Weapon. This weapon gets nothing special other than the capacity to grow and use Gi Techniques
- Second Tier: The user may re-app their weapon to become a B-Rank Weapon (link the upgrade in your Update to the post for confirmation). Upon creating this weapon, the user gains +1 Tier to any stat of their choosing that will only take effect once the user is wielding this weapon.
- Third Tier: The user may re-app their weapon to become an A-Rank Weapon (link the upgrade in your Update to the post for confirmation). Upon creating this weapon, the user may choose a single element. The user may gain an -1 Tier Chakra Cost reduction to that element (does not stack with other reductions) and the user may use Chakra Flow of that element with no chakra cost nor upkeep.
- Fourth Tier: The user may re-app their weapon to become an S-Rank Weapon (link the upgrade in your Update to the post for confirmation). The user gains a free S-Rank Enchantment that they can add to this weapon. This enchantment must be special effects and not techniques -- effects such as: armor penetration, reduction in healing, etc etc. This Enchantment will have an infinite number of charges.
- Final Tier: The user may re-app their weapon to become an X-Rank Weapon (link the upgrade in your Update to the post for confirmation). The user must be, at minimum, A Class in order to unlock the Final Tier. The user's weapon is now considered unbreakable. The user may now place any enchantment that the user wants upon their weapon (which will be scrutinized by staff) and it will have infinite number of charges.
The user is capable of communicating with their weapon with both having their words verbalized and heard by those around them. This weapon, when held by someone other than the user, will be just a simple weapon at C Rank regardless of the progression of the weapon. Weaknesses: The user may only gain 1 Sword of Justice weapon. The weapon may be recoverable if it's in the same dimension as the user. The user may wield other weapons, but they will not feel very comfortable wielding other weapons, receiving a -1 Tier debuff to their Coordination while using other weapons. The Gi member must choose either Kenjutsu, Bukijutsu, or Kyujutsu -- the same type as their weapon, they may not get the other two types. If the user has Kenjutsu, they no longer get the familiarity bonus towards Bukijutsu techniques and visa versa for Bukijutsu. Chakra Cost: --- EXP Cost: - First Tier: 0 EXP
- Second Tier: 250 EXP
- Third Tier: 500 EXP
- Fourth Tier: 1000 EXP
- Final Tier: 1500 EXP

Spirit Steed All Samurai are well-acquainted with steed-based combat. The user may place a part of their soul into their steed to bind the steed to themselves.
Requirements: Purchase a Mountable pet Effect: The user binds their soul to a single mountable pet. Once this occurs, the user must re-app that pet to change it's speed to "+1 of the rider's Speed, capping at S++". The user may now whistle for their steed and their steed will instantly arrive to their location. Whistling again will return the steed to where it was before being summoned. Others who try to ride this mount won't go anywhere as the mount will just stand still and not move. Weaknesses: The user may only have 1 mountable pet bound to the user's soul. The user must pay for this again if their mount dies to bind their soul to another mount. The mount's stats do not change other than their speed and may be prone to being killed if their stats are too low. Chakra Cost: -- EXP Cost: 500 EXP |
