"Take this scroll... and this one... and this one here too."

Traversing Kumogakure to deliver messages wasn't much of a glorious mission but the wanderer within her didn't mind going from one place to another within the city walls. It'd give her the opportunity to take in the scenery, breathe in fresh air, pick up a couple of details on roads and whatnot. Further map the Village in her mind should she ever need to remember a small road, alley or escape route for whatever her rural habits required.

"Also this one... certainly this one... Hm..."

The amount of scrolls with messages to deliver only rose to a point where Akari was wondering if she could even hold all of that by her own. How was she supposed to carry that anyway? In a bag? A belt pouch? Tilting her head as she folded her arms, the administrator still continued picking up scrolls.

"That one's pretty urgent too... Oh, and this one..."

It was possible the man was losing sight of the fact he was supposed to assign a genin some scrolls rather than to collect the full batch of urgent deliveries. Because if she had to carry all that, she couldn't guarantee none would be lost.

    "Shouldn't forget this one..."

Akari sighed slowly and deeply, ruffing her wings in boredom as she forcibly made him pay attention to her presence. If this kept going on, she'd be gone before he realised it. Off to wander without this silly chore to care about. Peace of mind. He'd look up and blink, pressing his glasses against the bridge of his nose like he saw her for the first time.

"Oh, uhm... I got carried away a little.", he said, taking three scrolls out of the mass he had been collecting. "These are really urgent so if you could bring those first and foremost, that'd be a big help. We trust you not to open them. Sensitive information and all that, possible death as consequence... You know, basic protective measures against unrequired curiosity."

The yokai just gazed at him, not saying a word. She didn't really care for the scrolls but the way he put it she was almost inclined to open them just to irk him. If only she could read his mind when it came to those deadly consequences. The off-handed way he had mentioned seemed a little too dismissive, lingering between him being a bad liar and avoiding her gaze and him trying to avoid needless worry. As he pushed the scrolls towards her direction, Akari picked them up and tucked them under her arm, walking away without a word and leaving the administrator to his work again. As she left the building, she'd channel chakra in her body, attempting to flicker away so as to leave no trace into what direction she'd go. Like she had seen other shinobi do.

The results of the 'body flicker' had not been quite what she hoped for but the roof had been reached if not in a somewhat clumsy way. Jumping from roof to roof, the demoness made her way to the walls where she had to deliver the first of her messages. Her target was supposed to be a special jounin walking along the walls somewhere. Specialised in sensory and thus a popular choice for the job. She'd land on the wall, channelling the chakra required to scale up the wall without problem and backflip onto the wall itself once she reached it. She had barely set her feet on the solid stones of the wall when a man flickered into existence before her, weapon drawn for a moment as he analysed her attire and looks. Noticing the Kumo-headband, he'd refrain from instantly striking her.

    "Who are you?"
    "Grimancer Akari, genin."
    "Grimancer...?"

He was obviously not familiar with such a title but the looks of the yokai, the name and the headband was sufficient to make him lower his weapon. He wasn't quite sure what he had to think about the non-human entity before him.

    "What do you want?"
"Bringing you a message from admin.", she'd say, taking out the scroll she had received and handing it over. The shinobi took it from her and opened it, eyes darting over its contents before he burned it to a crisp. Nodding she had fulfilled her task, he thanked her before flickering away again. Off to resume his duties. Left alone in the immediate vicinity, Akari took her time to enjoy the view of the mountains looming in the distance. Clear skies, looming horizons, endless possibilities. Sometimes she wondered if it hadn't been better not to accept the elder's offer back in the days.

Dropping the musing, she tried the body flicker again to disappear from view, finding herself mid-air before she landed on the roof below safely but hardly softly. Chakra flowing through her soils, her feet found balance despite the few shingles sliding off, and jumped over to the next building, and another, and another. Making her way to the second target. This shinobi was standing on the water reservoir, overlooking the district assigned to him and waved at her as he spotted her approach. Nearing his surroundings, she'd flash him the scroll which he received with a bright smile.

"I was expecting you. Man, so glad that answer finally arrived."

Eagerly rolling it open, the message didn't quite hold what he had expected, shoulders slumping after he had read the contents.

"Bummer... Oh well, thanks for delivering kid."

Akari would nod, continuing the road through Kumogakure to find the last man in need of a message. Jumping over roofs again, she'd eventually drop into the middle of the street and slip into a bar. Her demonic presence instantly triggered disgust and fear from the civilians, the mood dropping a tone as the general consensus disapproved of the presence of the yokai. Still, used to such reactions and quietly satisfied at their discomfort, Akari moved closer to the man in question and slipped the scroll toward the man. A glint of recognition would cross his face yet he'd wave his arms vividly to chase her away.

"Get lost, can't you see I'm eating here?"

She'd grin, take a step back and walked away as she defiantly opposed the remaining people with her attitude. Like a true demon confirming their reasons to be correct. Once outside, she'd flicker away again, this time properly succeeding to reach the roof above the restaurant before she went back to collect her pay.
