Unique Abilities:
Appearance:
She considers herself to be fairly plain in appearance save for her aforementioned unnatural hair tone, her build neither being unnaturally lithe or otherwise unusual in many ways, focusing herself more on her training than on worrying about her own appearance.
History:
Amaya was born shortly before the founding of Kirigakure to parents belonging to the Haya clan, her family not adopting the "Taira" name until several years later once the clan was split into three pieces. She spent her early childhood being raised with her nomadic family until the village was finally constructed, allowing her to be raised within the safety that the walls of the village provided as her family would repay their debt to the Hozuki who had created the village by performing sellsword work whenever they were required to do so by their benefactors.
Being among the first children raised in the village, she was also one of the first children to attend the new Academy and would learn the ways of the Shinobi alongside the teachings of her own Family which seemed to contradict one another; The Village believing in the use of Chakra and Chakra-based techniques, while her own Family believed firmly in reliance on one's own body rather than what they believed to be the mystical nature of Chakra and its related techniques.
The young girl grew up conflicted between these two ideals but would find herself eventually falling into line with her own Family's wishes after the splitting of the clan occurred and she found herself in need of a way to prove herself to the small amount of Family she had left after many of her other relatives took up residence with their own Family and refused to communicate with others outside of the Clan Meetings that happened on rare occasions.
She would remain a Genin for several years, instead choosing to focus herself completely upon her Kenjutsu Training and honing of the Way Of The Taira until she eventually became well enough adept at the clan's style of fighting that she was able to participate in and pass the Chuunin Exams with a moderate challenge. Afterward, she returned to her Family and once again threw herself into her training, only recently reaching the status she finds herself in now -- having mastered the Family Way while being equal parts a novice in the Ninja World.
She would, at the age of twenty-one, find herself being extended the offer for a Jounin position on the condition that she proved herself to the village by way of performing what many considered to be an absurd task for someone of her age: Exterminate the leader of a group of Rebels who intended to storm the village and ravage the place before then raizing it to the ground.
It was this that would lead to her finally achieving recognition in both her Family and Village, returning with the rebel leader - both of them being alive. After this, she was given her title of Jounin and she has spent the last two years accommodating herself to the position, doing her best to serve as a proper role model for the young Shinobi of the Village while also being capable of enough in order to protect the village in the event that disaster was to strike.
Personality:
Despite her sometimes outwardly stern appearance and often serious attitude, Amaya is warm-hearted and open to conversation with anyone who is willing to give her an ear - whether they are friend, or foe at the time. She believes foremost in 'redemption' and is more than willing to spare an enemy in the sake of allowing them to prove themselves as allies in the future, or allowing those who have made mistakes to repent and fix those mistakes rather than outright punishing them.
When dealing with students or those of junior rank than herself, Amaya encourages honesty and believes firmly in that if a student or someone of a junior rank has a question that needs to be answered or otherwise requires help, then it is her duty to provide whatever assistance they may need within reason. She can at times be strict on certain things despite her overall rather relaxed attitude toward teaching and leading, such as her firm insistence that Students and Juniors need to listen to orders that they are given and wait to be instructed before proceeding on their own if they have not proved themselves beforehand to be capable without help.
Toward her friends, Amaya is outwardly warm and hospitable toward them - going out of her way to make them smile or be cheerful, even if the circumstances are dire at the time. She also becomes less serious around them, allowing herself to more openly joke and play when otherwise she would not.
Toward those she is intimate with, Amaya becomes deeply attached to the individual and will do her best to stay at their side at all times unless they specifically request for her to do otherwise. She becomes worried for them if they are out of her sight for more than a few moments and can furthermore be considered somewhat clingy regarding those she considers lovers, often going out of her way to spend time with them even if it means neglecting her own personal health in the process.

Unique Abilities:
- Spoiler:
- Experience Advantage: A player may start with more experience that can be applied to their total. This amount may never be enough to advance into the next class and can always fall short by 1 experience. Doing this will put the player in debt, thus all generated experience must go towards paying off that experience debt before it can be applied anywhere else.
This can also be done if a player only wishes to gain a little more experience at the start. If the player chooses to start with equal or less than 50% experience for their next class requirement only half of the generated experience will go towards this debt.
(Taking: 250 EXP)
- Spoiler:
- Learning Class Advantage: A player may have access to learning technique one rank above of what their class allows. This early access must result in stunted growth forcing the player to spend an additional 10% experience to advance into the next class. This *can* be stacked with other modifiers (Sensei, Intelligence, etc..)
For example, a D-class Genin may only learn up to C-rank technique. This UA will allow that same Genin to learn up to B-rank technique. However, in order to hit C-class they must invest 1650 experience into their total instead of 1500 (10% of 1500 is 150. 1500 + 150 = 1650...)

- Capture the Rebel Leader:
- A soft sigh would escape Amaya's lips as she stood outside of the gates of Kirigakure with the rolled up scroll which served as official proof of her mission. She was not particularly excited for this mission, despite the fact that she was being offered a higher place in the Village as a reward for doing so; not because the mission itself was inherently dangerous, or even because she did not want the position. It was because such a mission would likely result in bloodshed, which was not something Amaya was fond of unless it was absolutely necessary.
Stowing the scroll away into a small pack on her back, Amaya shook her head and placed a hand upon the hilt of her sword which rested in a scabbard on her hip. She then closed her eyes briefly, took a deep breath, and reassured herself of the necessity of this mission before then setting herself down the barely visible path that led out of Kirigakure as she made her way into the mists beyond, going to search for the cave where it was rumored that the Rebel Leader was calling his home along with several of his most trusted bodyguards for his own protection.
It took the young woman nearly the entirety of the day in searching before stumbling across the entrance to what looked to be a half-flooded cave, wherein she would discover a small encampment that seemed to be doing its best to stay dry in the partially flooded cave while remaining as inconspicuous as possible. She entered the cave as quietly as possible, utilizing some light Water Ninjutsu in order to clear the water away from herself silently as she moved deeply in order to avoid splashing about as she moved along.
Upon reaching the encampment, Amaya would draw her sword and stand to full attention while pointing the blade toward the now much closer group who were camped out here. It seemed that only the Leader and two of his Bodyguards were currently present, the others likely having left to participate in a raid or something similar - making this encounter much easier for the young member of the Taira Family.
With a stern gaze toward the three men before her, Amaya would announce her intentions with the blade remaining pointed in their direction as she spoke:
"My name is Amaya Taira, I have been sent on behalf of the Mizukage in order to stop your plans, Rebel." She would say while producing the rolled up scroll with her free hand and attentively focusing herself upon the three men as she awaited a response.
It would not take long for her to receive a response which she had honestly predicted; The men all laughed and their Leader would cough a few times before then speaking up in turn. "That's Cute." He would say, grinning arrogantly toward the girl before him. "You really think you can come to MY hideout and start making demands? I think I 'ought to show you some manners, what d'ya think boys?" The man would say, glancing toward his two bodyguards who both cracked their knuckles and then drew their own blades before charging at Amaya and quickly putting the young woman on the defensive.
She focused on her opponents strikes, countering them with deft movements and making it seem as if she were being overwhelmed before suddenly unleashing a powerful blow with the blade of her blade against the side of one of the Guards own which sent the blade flying from his hand, before Amaya quickly turned her attention onto the remaining guard and allowed him to clash his blade with her own, staying in that position for a few long moments until she finally pushed his blade downward and off to the side, striking him with the hilt of her blade in the chest in order to knock the wind from him.
It was at this point that the Rebel Leader began to get somewhat nervous about the situation at hand and took out two large serrated blades which he would maneuver threateningly toward Amaya: "Alright, Girl, that's enough of that." He would say, before then charging her with both blades and this time legitimately putting the young woman in a forcibly defensive position as she attempted to keep up with the brutal strikes as best she could.
As the fight continued for a few seconds longer that felt like years to the young woman, she attempted to think of a way to defeat this overwhelming brute of a man and his dual blades until in a split second an idea came to her and she would act upon it by clashing both of the man's blades with her own and then suddenly latching her blade into the curve of the serrated edges on the blade, dropping her own weapon and using the moment of him being unable to properly slash with his swords in order to deliver a strong kick to his leg which would knock him to one knee and then taking back her blade and pointing it toward the man's neck. All of this having taken place in the course of less than a minute, yet seeming to span an eternity to either of the combatants.
"I think we are done here." Amaya would say toward the Rebel Leader, who would drop his blades and let out a long sigh, grumbling to her. "Aye. We are, go ahead and get it over with." He would say, lowering his head as he seemed to be expecting Amaya to behead him here and there. This never came to be, however, as Amaya would shake her head as she responded. "I will not be killing you, I will be returning you to the Village." She would say, before then adding. "Everyone deserves to have a trial." She added simply, to which the man would scoff and shake his head. "That's a novel concept." He said with a grunt, raising into a standing position as he did so.
Their Leader defeated, none of the Rebels would then challenge Amaya as she escorted the man from the cave and back toward Kirigakure, where he would face trial in front of the Mizukage instead of simply being killed like a dog in the middle of a damp cave:
Everyone deserved a chance to explain themselves, however little that may help in the end.
