The Urahara Clan
Unaffiliated
Kekkei Genkai: Seishuntsūru (Spirit Tool)
Clan Leader: Daiki Urahara (NPC)
Clan History/Description
The Urahara Clan began with a small tribe of people that traversed the lands, the leader known as Shikki Urahara. Among many others, Shikki studied under the Sage, acquainting himself with the male as pupil and teacher. Known for his incredible prowess as a smith and even aiding in crafting some relics that filter throughout the lands today, the kekkei genkai Shikki never knew he possessed was only fitting for him. His kekkei genkai was none other than the ability to transform himself into a weapon, but unlike a fairly common technique in the Sage's Ninshu, which would become known as the Transformation Technique, the transformation in itself wasn't artificial.
The sword in which his body became was truly befitting of its appearance, both in chakra-borne craftsmanship and sharpness. With this similar kekkei genkai passed down to his fellow tribal men, it was then that the Urahara Clan truly flourished, being hired by shinobi to serve as their partners in combat, spreading their name throughout the countries. With the procreation of the progenitors of the kekkei genkai, only more members came, and it wasn't long before they'd officially become their own clan. Shikki's grandson by then, Shinso, named the newly-formed clan after his own surname, and finally attached a name to their kekkei genkai.
It was with that development that what was initially known as the Shikki Tribesmen became the Urahara Clan, and the third generation of the Urahara Clan members became known as the possessors of the Seishuntsūru (lit. meaning "Spirit Tool").
Clan/Bloodline Traits & Characteristics
Other than their surnames, possessors of the Seishuntsūru have no distinct physical traits to them with their normal bodies, especially when the kekkei genkai is inactive. When in use, the effect that it has on their bodies can be best defined as a constant shimmer of their own chakra encompassing their frame, as it takes their chakra being used on the entirety of their body (or in more advanced cases, parts) to effectively manifest the Seishuntsūru. Their eyes also don the same color of their chakra, in that respect.
Bloodline Description & Abilities
The Seishuntsūru allows the possessor to effectively transform the entirety of their body or part of it into objects. The common application of this applies to weaponry and armor, but they can transform into anything with the right abilities under their belt. Depending on skill and physical capabilities, the manifestation of the Seishuntsūru varies between members, in terms of effectiveness. Members are able to transform into countless objects, either to aid themselves or their designated partners on field.
In order to acquire the ability to actually transform into an object, a Urahara clan member must fit the proper skill and learn the proper technique to use it. The skill required is based on the type of object in question, meaning that Weaponsmith Skill allows transforming into weapons, Armorsmith allows transforming into armor/protectorates and Engineering Skill allows transforming into many other things in between.
While Seishuntsūru users generally have to focus on Ninjutsu starting out, they are able to learn their clan techniques at a rank above the class they're allowed as a bonus. The quality of the objects that they transform into is governed by their stats; resilience/sturdiness of the object is based on their Constitution, while the force/sharpness is based on their Strength.
Due to their careers being mostly dedicated to their kekkei genkai, Urahara clan members are able to learn clan techniques 1 rank above what their class generally allows.

Novice: At base value, the quality of the Seishuntsūru user's transformed state caps out at B. They're limited to a max of 3 objects they can transform into.
Intermediate: For 500 EXP, Seishuntsūru users are able to transform into a max of 5 objects now, and the cap on the quality of their transformed state to A-Rank. Intermediate users of the Seishuntsūru are able to use clan techniques C-Rank and below without handseals.
Master: For 1,000 EXP, Seishuntsūru users can transform into up to 8 objects, and removes the cap on their transformed state's quality. Masters of the Seishuntsūru also become capable of utilizing clan techniques B-Rank and below without handseals.
Bloodline Limits & Drawbacks
Similar to an actual signature weapon, Urahara clan members tend to only stick around with one person, and designate that person as their battle partner. Seldom do they leave that partner to be wielded by someone else, showing a surprisingly resolute loyalty to the person they bond themselves with, and typically basing what they can transform into based on what their partner requires.
Urahara clan members are limited on how many objects they can transform into, and must learn to do it via. training for the technique pertaining, aka. it isn't on a whim. While the objects a member can transform into aren't set in stone, they must overwrite one previous to replace it with another. Seishuntsūru users also cannot transform into more than one weapon at once.
In addition, members must actively learn how objects work before they can inherently transform into them. This is represented by the Skill-based limitation mentioned earlier. While transformed, members of the clan are incapable of using handseals and techniques alike unless it's strictly Chakra Flow, which runs the risk of injuring their wielder, as it would in their case if their wielder used Chakra Flow on them. This also restricts them from receiving stat boosts, or from said stat boosts carrying over between the time they're in their normal state to their weapon state.
Clan Techniques
The current weapon transformation techniques serve as sample techniques to follow as well, for people creating more intricate weapon-transformation techniques. B-Rank variations of the transformation techniques ultimately increase the quality of the weapon, but never past S under any circumstance, and usually have a con to them (which is typically the sheer weight). The users of these techniques can also be imbued with Fuuinjutsu of their own application or their wielders to increase efficiency, or have chakra flown through them (at the cost of potentially harming the clan member themselves if they cannot endure it).

- Ninjutsu:
Name: Partial Creation
Rank: B
Power: B
Activation Cost: 10
Upkeep Cost: N/A
Range: Self
Speed: N/A
Element: N/A
Skill: NInjutsu
Classification: Urahara Clan
Requirements: N/A
Parent Technique: Kuchiyose Technique
Hand Seals: Dog → Boar → Ram → Tiger → Snake → Ram
Description: Partial Creeation is a technique devised to allow Urahara clan members to turn part of their body into one of the designated objects they're able to transform their entirety into. Something such as a scythe would allow them to transform their arm or leg into the scythe's blade and use it in the midst of combat. Like the normal creation techniques, it scales off of Constitution and Strength in a normal fashion. This effectively removes the limitation of being unable to fight while transformed, and allows them to use techniques of their own, assuming they can use one-handed seals.
Weaknesses: Strictly only usable on one's arm(s) or leg(s), and in some cases their finger(s). Mostly for smaller weapons in the last case..
- Fuuinjutsu:
Name: Soulmate
Rank: A
Power: A
Activation Cost: 15
Upkeep Cost: N/A
Range: 1 Kilometer
Speed: Instant
Element: N/A
Skill: Fuuinjutsu
Classification: Urahara Clan
Requirements: N/A
Parent Technique: Kuchiyose Technique
Hand Seals: Dog → Boar → Ram
Description: Similar to signing a summoning contract, Soulmate involves a Urahara clan member and their battle partner signing a specialized seal upon a scroll or equivalent parts of one another's bodies (such as the back palm) in their blood. By forming this connection, the partner is able to summon the Urahara clan member to them, but only while said Urahara is in their transformed state.
Summoning the transformed Urahara requires C-Rank Activation cost, as well as a blood sacrifice imprinted upon the seal. When effectively bonded with one's wielder through this technique, Chakra Flow from either party does not injure the other, as the seal blends a small portion of their reserves.
Weaknesses: Has a limit of a 1 kilometer range on it. Additionally, if one of the seals is destroyed, then the ability to summon the Urahara clan member becomes null until its re-constructed on both parties.

Weaknesses: Consumes one of the learner's object slots. Also depends on their natural stats for actual effectiveness. The object may also experience a cap in regards to quality without something like the influence of Chakra Flow to empower it. Furthermore, taking damage in one's transformed state goes back to their body. Scratches are equivalent to actual scratches, while cracks are like broken bones. Full on destruction to the object equates to destruction of the person that's transformed into it.
