Unique Abilities:
United We Stand - The Twins have been through hell and back together. They've learned a lot from each other and their experiences as duo. They start with 550 Experience.
Divided We Fall - The Twins are still paying for their times together. They have been together for so long that they still need to learn what it means to be truly independent. They have a lot of catching up to do. Half of the generated experience will go towards this debt (550).
Look Alive! - The Twins have become rather adept at Ijutsu due to all the scrapes they've been in. Ijutsu costs one rank less.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered! - The Twins have only just started to learn Fuuninjutsu and they aren't the greatest at it. Fuuninjutsu costs one rank more.
Check In! - Konami is a natural schemer. She can garner information from various sources and focus on the endless possibilities of any situation and expect the unexpected. This skill is owed to years of dealing with Toonami's naturally unpredictable nature. Konami has spies all across Kirigakure and they keep her informed on all who enter through the gates and the very next topic that they go into. These are usually vague (not specific subject matter pertaining to what they said but rather what they did and where they went). Konami can use this information to her benefit. This UA does not apply where someone enters in Kirigakure through another means other than the gates. If one enters with transformation or a concealed appearance, and if they discard their concealment or dispel their transformation when entered in Kiri, they can avoid this UA.
Mistaken Identity - Back when Toonami sported blonde hair like her sibling she had run afoul of some Kumo nin. Unfortunately one of them now helps oversee village security and he does not forgive nor does he forget. This guard has made it a point to alert the relevant authorities (Kage or failing that the highest ranking Jounin) that Konami has entered the village and what she did in her very next topic. Not specific information pertaining to what she has said but rather what she did and where she went. Because Konami is the only one of the Twins that has blonde hair, this really only affects her. The Flaw does not apply where Konami enters in Kumogakure through another means other than the gates. If she enters with transformation or a concealed appearance, and if she discards her concealment or dispels her transformation when entered in Kumo, she can avoid this Flaw.
Gauntlets - Konami was gifted a pair of B-Rank Red Steel Gauntlets by Makahshi.
Missing Friend - Makahshi has gone missing and has recently been declared legally dead. Konami knows there are others in the clan that depend on him financially and she feels obligated to help them out. 50% of all ryo she collects goes towards helping the children of the Kereko Clan, this is for a total of 50,000 ryo.
Protection - Konami considers herself her sister's protector. She has lived as the host for years and as such her body is trained to be resistant to poisons. Her Uirusu cells will break down poisons and foreign bodies as they enter her body. Poisons are one rank less effective on her.
Drug-Free - Konami's Uirusu cells unfortunately don't distinguish between Medicines and Poisons. The cells will attempt to break down Medicines just the same as soon as they enter her body. Medicines are one rank less effective on her.
Knuckle Up! - Toonami wears three rings on each hand and when spurred with a small bit of E Rank Chakra, the rings interconnect to form a pair of B-Rank Steel black and purple brass knuckles.
Nasty Habit - Toonami has borrowed quite a bit to support her drug habit. Now that she is (mostly) clean she needs to make amends by paying back her benefactors. Normally she'd simply refuse but Konami won't have any of it. The last thing the Twins need is to owe money to the wrong people in a village like Kirigakure...Toonami must pay 50% of her wages to cover her debt which totals 50,000 ryo.
Fuzzy Brains - Toonami has never liked Genjutsu all that much. As smart as she is all the planning, conceiving and reality sculpting is a bit too slow for her at times. She knows how to do it but it requires more effort as a result of her impatience and naturally wild nature. Genjutsu costs one rank more.
Wig Splitter - Toonami has learned how to split wigs with the best of them. After relentless training with the Kereko she has learned how to use her hatred and anger to fight more efficiently conserving her chakra and using emotion as fuel. Taijutsu costs one rank less.
Skater Chick - Toonami has mastered the art of skateboarding. She has a skateboard of her own that she nicknamed "The Kitty". When riding the Kitty she gains a Tier to Speed.
Wipeout! - Toonami rides fast and without regard to safety. The thrill of riding her Kitty makes her less aware of her surroundings. When riding the Kitty she loses a Tier of Perception.
Appearance:
Konami and Toonami are identical twins. They are physiologically the same but their different approaches to life have caused them to take on drastically different appearances. Both are 6"5 and and are fairly thin (Toonami almost gratuitously so as a result of her prior crystal meth addiction). They both wear their long hair in the form of twin braids which are often wrapped around their stomachs like obi to prevent them from dragging on the floor. However beyond that the two girls are unmistakably different.
Toonami sports neon blue hair and has an pale alabaster skin tone. While Toonami's hair was naturally blonde like that of her sister she has managed to apply a strange chemical solution to it causing it to turn into a permanent neon blue color. She is quite skinnier when compared to her Twin sister. She has dark bags under her eyes and a tattoo of a set of clouds around her left shoulder and midsection from when they lived in Lightning Country. Years of drug abuse and experimentation have corrupted her Uirusu cells, some of the disfigured and mutated cells have accumulated around her eyes giving them an eerie purple glow. Toonami often wears a purple and black tanktop and booty shorts lined miniaturized scrolls contained in iron capsules. She tends to wear knee high combat boots and stilettos that are custom made for a shinobi seeking functional style. Toonami sports several piercings around her body: one in her tongue, several on her upper earlobe, a navel piercing, nipple piercings, and of course a clitoral piercing. She tends to alternate between black and purple gloves with matching nail polish and lipstick. Its said that she tends to favor purple when she's at play and black when she's all about the business. Toonami sometimes sports gold chains or jewelry when she is trying to impress.
Konami's appearance is a bit less flashy although arguably just as risque. She has blonde hair and tends to wear a tight one piece green jumpsuit. She also wears a red military beret cap on her head. A gift from a kind shinobi when they lived in Lightning Coountry. Like her sister she has been known to wear combat boots. Konami doesn't have any tattoos or piercings (aside from the standard ear piercings most women have). Unlike her sister, her skin is in excellent condition and she is far less skinny. One could say she has a buxom and muscular appearance but her enviously large breast size and shapely bottom leave no doubt as to her femininity. Konami eschews jewelry and other finery instead believing that the less cumbersome objects on her body the better. Konami also tends to wear large red gauntlets that she uses for battle. Konami's face and skin is rather devoid of any blemishes with the exception of a lone scar on her cheek courtesy of defending her Twin. While Konami prefers her green combat jumpsuit she is a bit more varied in appearance than her sister occasionally wearing uniforms and other attire. The one thing they all tend to have in common is they show a lot of skin. Konami insists that this is to maximize functionality and speed but her Twin often mocks her appearance as being a desperate plea for sex.
History: The Twins were originally born in a town near Sunagakure like most who have their bloodline. They were Siamese at birth and were immediately cast aside by their parents who saw them as abominations not even worthy of naming. Normally the hospital would immediately kill the pair but a kindly woman intervened and raised them in her orphanage. The woman gave them each a name and did her best to raise them right. After years of mockery and shame from other adults and children due to their being conjoined from the hip, the two began to plot drastic measures for separating themselves. They decided death was preferable to life as an unwanted freak. The love of a single old woman was not enough to dissuade them otherwise and they had resolved to split themselves by butcher knife on the morning of their tenth birthday. When the sun rose however the Twins awoke to an astonishing fact. They were no longer conjoined! Their bodies were completely unharmed but were nonetheless independent. Their elation and joy however turned to misery as Toonami realized that whilst her older sister (by mere seconds) was growing stronger by the day she was growing weaker. Konami could play and dance with the others while she found herself stumbling and tripping over the smallest of objects. Konami felt bad for her younger sister and had gone to embrace her one day when she found that the very act caused them to be conjoined once more! The shock and fear drove them away from each other and just like that they were separated. Over the next few years, the duo realized that they could separate and fuse at will. Unfortunately, Toonami was so weak on her own that she often had no choice but to dwell inside her older sister's body curling up inside another's flesh. Konami had resolved to bear the burden and never complained but nevertheless the shame, humiliation, and guilt of forcing them to be a freak of nature had affected Toonami deeply. Whenever Toonami had gotten a spare moment she caused as much trouble as possible. She could do nothing on her own most of the time so the few opportunities for independence were taken and used to cause mayhem and mischief. The two learned at a young age to fight as their lives often depended on it. Their caretaker was old and unable to defend her girls from those who sought to put an end to what they saw as a pair of demons masquerading as twins. The two learned to fight, hide, heal, and manipulate their way out of lethal situations. The more Konami refused to blame Toonami for their troubles, the more the latter acted out.
At 16, Toonami's antics reached a fever pitch. She had set fire to a store that had thrown them out. Konami had been saving quite a bit of cash to buy their favorite candy only to have the money ripped out of her hand by the shopkeep who then proceeded to toss them out. Angry and hurt with the knowledge that if not for her Konami would be leading an normal life Toonami snuck away from her Twin and torched the store writing her name in bold blue graffiti on an adjacent building. The town formed a lynch mob and gathered to rid themselves of the accursed Twins once and for all. The town marched to the orphanage and they demanded the Twins be released to them for "justice" or the entire building would burn along with the other children the caretaker had taken in over the years. The caretaker in her elderly age had not the strength nor will to defend her daughters and so she managed to convince the town to spare their lives...on the condition that they never return again. It was at that moment that Konami knew her little sister was like a cancer. A collection of cells that had latched on to her and would threaten to swallow her whole. And yet, she loved her. Toonami was vile and reckless but she all Konami had and would ever have. If her sister ceased to be then what was she? Konami vowed that she would keep them safe no matter what Toonami did. The unconditional love that Konami had shown her despite her being responsible for their exile pained Toonami. She did not wish to be a burden but years of living as a cramped slave in her sister's body had left her with poor impulse control. On her own part, she swore that despite her wildness and recklessness she would become strong enough so that she would no longer be a burden to her older sister but a boon. And so, despite their exile threatening to drive them apart the Twins grew closer knowing that one was nothing without the other.
The pair trekked to Lightning Country where they smuggled themselves in a trading wagon. While living in the countryside they begged, fought, stole, and even killed for money. They grew in long spurts and by the time they turned twenty they were as tall as any adult. Toonami had learned to exist independent of her older sister although neither could leave the nation without the other. The Twins had earned a reputation as feisty and fearsome warriors with a ferocious intellect. Their endless collection of scars and bruises forced them to learn medicine and with it chemistry. Toonami in particular had taken a liking to chemicals. She knew she could never host her older sister and so she figured there was no harm in abusing her own body now that she did not need to stay within Konami's. Toonami's resultant drug addiction and propensity for violence attracted more attention than they could handle and so they were forced to leave the Lightning Country again. Konami had by this point completely resigned to her sister's whims and shenanigans. She had become the more level headed of the two, thinking always in the long term. She assumed the worst and always had a back up plan in case Toonami got high and ended up doing something that jeopardized their safety. It became less of a nuisance and more of a way of life. Konami strategized about their long term future so that Toonami didn't have to. Toonami in turn had learned to live life in the moment. She sought out opportunity wherever it arose. She took risks where Konami was too cautious. As the years wore on they had become accustomed to their roles. It was agitating, frustrating, and painful for them both but neither would have it any other way.
The Twins' genius and fighting prowess managed to raise a few of the right eyebrows. Namely that of the Kereko. The Clan still had spies in the Lightning Country after they had defected to Kirigakure. The Twins were given a choice: 1. Work for the Kereko and be part of a family or 2. Continue living on the run with no one to watch out for them except each other. For once the Twins saw eye to eye. Collaborating with a more powerful clan was a smart move in the short term and in the long term. At 25, The Twins boarded a boat and met their contact in the Land of Water: Makahshi Kereko. Makahshi and his Clan vouched for them and the pair were able to demonstrate their usefulness to Kirigakure. Their skill at arms and scientific knowledge made them fit for Jounin rank and so the two officially became shinobi. From then on the Twins finally had a surname to call their own: Kereko. They were formally adopted by the Clan at the age of 26 and were welcomed to the family. The Kereko used them to garner information on what the criminal underworld in Lightning was up to. The Twin's knowledge of medicine, chemistry, and combat was also quite valuable. Toonami's brash, loose, and vulgar nature made her a darling of the Clan and for once she had found a group that shared her values. In turn, the clan trained them both and even managed to get Toonami off drugs (or at least stop using so heavily). Konami accepted their generosity but kept a far more business approach. Konami had a friendly rapport with Makahshi but for her part she only saw the Kereko as means to an end. She was aware that the second the Twins stopped being useful they'd cast them out but until then she would use them in return. With the backing of a renown ninja clan, The Twins are now poised to make their mark on history. After years of being on the run, they look forward to finally running the show.
Personality:
The Twins have very different personalities. Konami as the older sibling and dominant of the two has taken on a more mature and measured approach to life. She focused on her duty and responsibilities first and rarely considers her own happiness. Her loyalty is to "them" (the collective unit), the Kereko, and the village in that order. Toonami is the younger sibling and subservient of the two. She acts almost completely on instinct. Rarely planning for the future unless forced to do so and almost always acting on what "feels right in the moment". Despite their differences, the Twins do share several key personality traits. The biggest and most obvious is their undying love for one another. Although they bicker and fight, the Twins love nothing more than each other. They'd fight for one another and they'd die for one another. Their loyalty to each other is what makes them who they are. The second trait that the two have in common is their ferocious intellect and curiosity. While they each have different methods for approaching science, they ultimately are driven by the same pursuit: an unyielding desire to understand and tame the natural world around them. The thought of learning and mastering the building blocks of life arouses them both and much of what they do is in service of that project. The Twins have convinced themselves that the key to happiness is to understand reality and bend it to their will. Finally, the Twins have a pathological hatred for other Twins. It is irrational and arguably contradictory given their love for each other but there is something about seeing two other people who are Twins (Dead Flesh Pulse Twins or not) that angers them. They see them as corruptions of their perfect symbiotic relationship. If the Twins aren't the only Twins around then what are they? Nothing. And so whenever Konami and Toonami encounter a pair of identical or fraternal twins the same thought runs through their head:
How do we get rid of them?
How do we get rid of them?
Other than that, The Twins are completely different people.
Toonami is wild. The woman has little self control and is known for being loud, violent, lustful, greedy, wanton, and just about every description one could use for a sinner. Years of living as a prisoner inside the flesh and blood of someone else has given her a unique outlook on life. Now that she is capable of living and existing on her own terms, she sees her body as an amusement park. Toonami is quite vulgar and enjoys the pleasures of the flesh. She has a keen understanding of what she wants in relation to others. Toonami runs off of instinct and gut feelings. She enjoys taking risks and doing things that no one else would think of doing. Drugs, sex, loud music, anything and everything for a long and intense high. Toonami sees the pursuit of science as a high in of itself. Her methodology of research and analysis is daring and volatile. She is known to experiment constantly and without regard to procedure and safety precaution. Her style has allowed her to achieve far more breakthroughs and innovations than her sister albeit with less than stable results. Toonami is naturally a passionate person but there are very few things she cares deeply about. The first is her sister of course and the second is her adopted family. Toonami has become a bit of a favorite around the Kereko Clan and she has become fond of them in return. Their style, attitude, and approach is not directly far from her own and she loves having a group of pugnacious gangsters around.
Konami is reserved. She is a strategic thinker that plans ahead and maintains perfect control of her emotions at all times. Konami refrains from anything that can harm her body or make it impure. She was the host for such a long time than many healthy and positive habits are ingrained in her. She exercises regularly, eschews alcohol and drugs, and eats a well balanced diet. Konami rarely considers what's best for herself as an individual and thinks what's best for her relationship with her Twin, her adopted Clan, and village in that order. Konami's approach to science fits her personality. She favors long and elaborate processes with careful trial and error. She does not favor wild experimentation like her sister and instead sets targeted and achievable goals and while she has a lower innovation rate she has a much higher success rate. Whereas Toonami's breakthroughs occur once but a year Konami makes modest but somewhat important progress on established fields of knowledge fairly regularly. Konami is sometimes agitated by the antics of her younger sibling and that of the Kereko in general but she lets them have their amusements so long as it doesn't completely ruin her long term plans. She can be a stern woman but is not above having fun when the situation calls for it. Most of the time she puts on a serious and nonchalant demeanor. She makes it a point not to appear affected when things go completely awry (part of this is practice for dealing with her sister).

- Spoiler:
- The mischievous grin that appeared on Natsuru's face after Simon had made the suggestion did not escape Shimiko's attention. Shimiko could tell that she enjoyed any opportunity to revel in her perceived superiority over her and as much as it agitated her, Shimiko liked the challenge. She was confident that she could manipulate the situation to work to her advantage. She could use the game as a way to get closer to Simon and if she managed to embarrass Natsuru in her own home that would be an added bonus. For once, the two were on the same wavelength although with opposing goals.
Let the games begin... she thought excitedly.
As if on cue another guest arrived. Natsuru introduced him as Sora. The name was vaguely familiar and Shimiko was certain she had heard of it before. It was possible that Sora was in her same Academy graduating year or perhaps a year or two ahead of her. In either case, he came off as a nice enough fellow. His arrival wasn't particularly celebrated but she was not offended by it either. She gave a polite smile and wave to welcome him to the party. He was not dressed up which make him stand out but that did not bother her. Ryuko on the other hand was clearly not impressed and had not trouble voicing it.
“Oh my Nat-chan, I had no idea you had hired a jester for our amusement.” This was followed by a loud and surprisingly mocking laugh.
"Ryuko!" Shimiko exclaimed in surprise.
She turned and looked at the girl in complete shock. Ryuko was normally very sweet and kind. She had a righteous indignation and hatred for criminals as noted in their first mission together but that was to be expected given that they were shinobi. This was a very different side of Ryuko that she had not seen before. She was of course joking but given that Sora was a guest and presumably did not know them as well as they knew each other he might be offended or worse yet hurt. Shimiko feared that while she was in her coma, Natsuru had begun to have a corrosive effect on Ryuko's disposition. It occurred to her that the two shared wealthy backgrounds (as evidenced by Ryuko's lady-in-waiting) and that Natsuru might have used that to influence her for the worse. The three of them each came from fairly prominent families that were powerful in their respective fields (Natsuru from an elite merchant background, Ryuko from an elite political background, and Shimiko from an elite military background) nevertheless the former two probably had a greater disdain for commoners than she did. Shimiko had optimistically hoped that her polite, respectful, and friendly demeanor would rub off on Natsuru when they became teammates. She now considered this to be a naive hope. However, she wasn't about to let Natsuru corrupt and bring out the worst in someone as nice as Ryuko. Now that she was out of the hospital she could counter-act Natsuru's influence and act as a far more positive role model. Shimiko would do her best to smooth things over and play off the remark as a joke.
"Haha, Ryuko didn't mean that. She just can't resist a good joke." she said cheerfully. "We're glad you came to the party"
She did not want to go out of her way to be nice to Sora but she did want to make him feel welcome. She did not know his background and it was entirely possible he did not have enough money for fancy clothes. The last thing she wanted was for him to leave Natsuru's already intimidatingly large mansion feeling like he was less than. It was part of Shimiko's religious and social philosophy to be as kind and wholesome to others as possible. No matter how gruesome or brutal their deaths at her or anyone else's hand, no one would be able to say that she treated anyone with unearned disrespect. If she did not add value and joy to other's lives then what did it say about her commitment to Janshin? The happier and more worthwhile other's lives were the more worthy of a sacrifice they would make. It wasn't just a matter of what was good for them, it was a matter of what was pleasing to her God. Assuming that Sora had taken the joke in stride and had not run off she would turn her attention back to the game.
Natsuru had produced a tanto and explained that because they did not have a bottle they would use the blade to select who would be asked Truth or Dare. Shimiko reached out and grabbed the glass of lemonade that Natsuru had poured for her. She took a quick sip before setting it back on the table. She had already decided on what she was going to pick the moment Natsuru made it clear she'd be the one spinning the tanto. Shimiko knew that Natsuru would not ask her to do anything truly outrageous with Ryuko present. She also knew that the Senou wouldn't allow any wild antics inside her own home. And she also knew (or at least hoped) that Natsuru was aware of the fact that while Shimiko was pleasant she did have a limit as to the amount of provocation she would tolerate. With all these factors in her favor, how could she lose? Truth was the safest choice to be sure and in certain situations it could help her achieve her ends but this early on and she needed to establish herself. She had shot down Simon's Ouiji Board idea and now she needed to demonstrate that she was not afraid of anything. If there was any risk that the others thought her soft after her stay at the hospital she would need to remedy that from the get-go. She had to impress and show that she was completely fearless in social situations. So when the tanto ceased spinning and the tip of the blade pointed towards her Shimiko grinned and looked Natsuru in the eye.
"Shimiko: Truth or Dare?"
"Dare"
