With strained muscles, Tōri's griffon finally made it back to the village, delivering its contents to the village elders within the main governing building to be shared with the Daimyo at their earliest convenience. The urgently delivered letter proclaimed the Senju's assertion into the position of temporary leader of the village, though notably with the prefix of Interim at his behest. Uncertain how the future would shape up he wanted to leave room for his predecessor to return as has been known to happen.

OOC: Claiming leadership over Konoha as Interim Hokage for Tōri Senju (48 hours?)

After an appropriate amount of time spent mulling over the letter the forces at be in the Land of Fire agreed to the Senju's assertion, sending a letter of acceptance back with the winged griffon who hurriedly flew towards his master. Hurrying back the griffon would bring the news of the tremendous amount of responsibility that now laid upon his shoulders, interim position or not.
