    Grand Time Empty Grand Time

Post by Burittsu Sat Jul 27, 2024 3:07 am

As he dashed he took a breath relaxing himself as he imagined himself holding a sword and got into form blue aura took over him as his speed itself increased. Burittsu had a plan forming three hand seals and holding the final seal before releasing the jutsu. Burittsu dashed the vault as he made contact with two guards both who looked willing to hold their own yet Burittsu didn’t have the time.
Yet the true enemy remained outside where no one else was willing to venture; he had no intentions of fighting people who called him an ally.

Once he reached ten meters their vision would be affected due to his movement once he quickly released the jutsu as a dark mist surrounded the entire entrance with the guards and shinobi. The two guards would feel the ice cold aura of Burittsu before the sound of the door would open to their ears. As the mist stood no sound was heard outside of it within ten meters.

Bringing out Samehada he quickly dug around inside the beast shaped sword before pulling out six golden rings. Dashing to the chest as he opened it up to find out it was completely empty and once more the seven swords yet appeared missing. Placing Samehada on his back as he allowed the beast to do its job the man made his move. He dashed his way back to the door with the rings hidden inside Samehada once more Burittsu dashed back to the entrance reaching where the mist continued doing its job.

Burittsu formed a unique hand seal before heading outside, Burittsu dashed past the two guards on his way before disappearing from their site. As within the mist an ice mirror appeared concealing the former Mizukage before crumbling away and the mist itself remaining. For a bit longer. Burittsu himself was gone.

Into a three set series of crystal ice mirrors which shot him across in a total distance of ninety meters every third mirror. Quickly heading out back to the gate. He left a note upon the wall made of ice in characters that read “Blitz”. Laughing to himself he knew such an act would prove him to be a traitor no matter how they see it. Just like those before him regardless. Now it was a race against time.

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Sat Jul 27, 2024 6:19 pm

Our illustrious hero had been enjoying an exquisite cup of tea when a flicker of movement caught her eye.  Kitsuki, the Angel of the Isles, had been sipping quietly when she saw Buri careen down the street towards the armory of Kirigakure. The serenity of the tea and the peace of the rooftop restaurant at which she dined became secondary to the safety of her people. Kitsuki kicked the table away and drop the priceless china as she snapped on her Quantum Meruit Armour. The temporally hidden armour instantly enraptured her person and she leapt off the rooftop at her top speed, running along the building's edge behind the blur as it closed in on one of the village's points of strategic interest.

    What the hell was that?!
ⵏo ⵉⴷⴻⴰ ⴱⵓⵜ ⵡⵀⴰⵜⴻⵠⴻⵔ ⵉⵜ ⵡⴰⵙ, ⵉⵜ ⵡoⵏ'ⵜ oⵓⵜⵔⵓⵏ ⵜⵉⵎⴻ

Kitsuki felt her guardian Angel melt into the stream of sequentialism. Becoming one with that which came before, after and forever. The racing Burritsu was moving far too fast relative to the slow bustle of the crowds of Kiri. The sudden movement tipped Kit off to the fact that she'd need to tap into every available resource of her perceptive capacity to keep up with the man. The second the armour was on her body, she activated its contraptions injecting Chronomeum into her bloodstream and speeding up her metabolism with Temporal Metabolic Progression. Meanwhile, the Princess landed at the initial zone of Burritsu's entrance. The guards, frightened by the sudden assault, hit the alarm button in their confusion. Despite the mist that had been conjured, they moved with the utmost speed and discipline. Their actions unhindered due to Buri's decision not to harm them. Ever since Kit had learned of the Gelel Stones' theft she had instituted a protocol of heightened security. The guards had thus been trained to alert the village in the event of an attack on its artifacts. Alarms blared through the neighboring district and indeed the armory itself as Buri entered the vault. Kit landed directly behind him on the ground level where the armory was contained. The visage of her white-gold armour gleamed in glory as she blocked the sole exit point of the armory.

The vault room was spacious and its ceilings high. The room that Buri entered was 30x30x30 and it was adorned with various weapons of historic legend. The large chest which contained Kiri's precious treasures would be empty. Unbeknownst to Kituski, Buri had given them to Arisu who had yet to deposit the weapons back into the village treasury. Kit would swipe the air with her immense strength, blowing away the mist and revealing Buri's treason in a simple gesture. The young man was hunched over the chest which contained the Seven Swords of the Mist, rummaging through it as if it held the key to eternal life. Kit watched with an expression of despair and concern before speaking up. Standing 10 meters from Buri, her body was tense for combat but her voice was conciliatory and forgiving.

    "Burritsu....what are you doing?"

She had not forgotten that someone had robbed the village of its Gelel Stones. She didn't want to believe the former Mizukage was capable of such treason, especially since he had seen the Empire through so much. Nevertheless, her body remained rigid and primed for combat. He had long exhibited signs of madness and though she hoped she was misunderstanding his intentions, the Angelic Princess couldn't help but prepare for the worst.

Realizing that there was nothing for him meant that only the Mizukage knew of their location yet it seemed that his death would be upon him. Chuckling a little bit it was no use to keep looking but only to meet back up and place his intentions on the mission given to him. The world must be saved first so he could do what was needed of him before he could finish; he thought the alarms rang across the village. This only made him smile as it was too late for him to make an escape. The presence of someone familiar indeed was near yet this person and him just met only recently. She called out to the demon. He responded in a deep raspy voice as a cold fog escaped his breath and the male pulled out his headband in front of the princess.

You want to know? This is Sayuri’s headband that she gave to me. I swore I'd protect her home alive or dead. I’m on a mission to kill Chen and Raijin with my partner, all run by the Hokage herself. I agreed because Ren Uchiha said the same before he himself showed his true colors. You're my comrade, there's no need to fight, we can have all the fun in the world. Later. Regardless of swords or not I know what was done yet you’ll find your justice either here or out there. Death must earn me.”

Burittsu laughed a little as he watched the princess. She was on guard and ready for the man yet he wasn’t surprised Blitz fought and fought and that was his reputation. Burittsu enjoyed the fact this was a natural response. These days everyone was on guard and no one was going to take a chance with him. He approved of watching everyone show what they have. This thrill he felt at this moment was how Blitz felt everyday himself. Something seemed to click.

“Well Princess I will go kill these two. You asked a question so this is the answer. I’ll go out like I always do and put my life on the line. I'll fight and fight and fight till I die. In the name of Yuki and Kiri. Even our allies across the sea. We have received the death kiss. I gladly accept my fate and burn to ash.  Will you let me go princess? If I live. I will return for my punishment.”

Burittsu smiled to himself and to her not making a single movement but smiling he had hoped she understood his position he is a weapon. Nothing more or less. Burittsu wrapped the forehead protector upon his head and smiled firmly as the baby blue aura around him glowed brightly. The shinobi had no need for lying if he was to earn his keep Burittsu would do what he did best in such situations such as this. Telling the truth was simply it was the next action that was key.

Burritsu Yuki was not well. Kit could tell by his rambling words, the erratic laughter and his foolhardy decision to loot the nation's armory. She tried to follow his speech but the more he spoke, the more questions she had. It made sense that he was close with Sayuri. The two were members of the same clan and both held positions of leadership in the village. But the connection only made her more weary. Sayuri was crazy and she had proven to be a liability to Kiri and a threat to the peace of the world. Would Buri go down the same path? By the sounds of it, he intended on hunting down Chen and Raijin. A laudable goal and one consistent with his loyalty to the Empire and his lust for battle. Unfortunately, it wasn't so simple. Some of the things he said didn't add up and others were disturbing. The aura he had about him was menacing. She now had a clear view of the combat specialist now that Passing Typhoon had completely blown away the mist.

Kitsuki remained fully alert and prepared for combat. She felt the power of Chronomeum coursing through her veins, increasing her perception and dialing her into her surroundings at a superhuman level. If the man made a move, she'd counter it with extreme prejudice. But as mad as he was, he opted to use his words. She would do him the same courtesy. After he had finished speaking, Kitsuki would reply:

"I know you want to bring Raijin and Chen to justice. So do I...but I think its best if you slow down. You don't sound well and if what you say is true, there is a lot we need to unpack. First and foremost, why are you taking orders from the Hokage? You're not a Konoha-Nin, you're a Kiri-Nin. I don't believe myself nor Arisu were consulted on such a mission and although we are allies the Leaf has no right to requisition our troops for an attack. And this business with Ren....what do you mean he showed his true colors?"

Kitsuki took a breath. She knew Buri would not take this well, but she had no choice. He was too unstable to be out in the field. Ordinarily, he'd be court martialed and punished for trying to filch swords without the Princess's permission. However, Kitsuki was in a merciful mood. The man had served the village well despite his obvious mental illness and so she would give him a pass for this transgression. But she would not permit him to take part in a foreign operation that she knew nothing about. Especially not against the likes of the Dark Lord and the Butcher of Sunagakure. Kami knows what they're capable of....we need to be kept in the loop and to proceed cautiously.

"Look, I think we need to take a moment and reflect before we proceed....I'm going to overlook the fact that you attempted to breach the armory and take Kiri's artifacts without permission. But I cannot let you go on such a dangerous mission as you are....I know that's not what you want to hear but as your superior I'm ordering you to stand down and come with me."

Kitsuki wanted to ask him if he had been the one to take the Gelel Stones, but she decided that it would be best if she took him to the Mind Reading machine herself. That way, she could sift the truth from the delusions harbored in the man's head. They could maybe even have a ANBU psychologist evaluate him so that he could receive the help he desperately needed. The Angelic Princess took a few steps closer to Buri keeping her eyes trained on him and her Temporal Pincer Movement active.

Post by Burittsu Sun Jul 28, 2024 5:09 pm

Burittsu gave her the truth and it wouldn’t surprise him to hear her words from the fact he took the mission seemed to be a problem itself. Laughing he didn’t care what her answers were, he simply didn’t have time to lie to her and had things to be accomplished. Gazing at the women he sighed and knew the answer from such people no one ever thought of the bigger picture. Burittsu stood there for a moment as he soaked up the answer from  the princess, a worthy answer if she did care. He raised his left hand slightly in a forward motion, a clear signal for the woman to stop in both talk and movement.

“You asked for the truth, you got it. I already submitted my life over and the jutsu itself will not be undone till I die or it’s removed. I will fight our true enemies regardless of your answer and I will learn peace after it no matter the results. Regardless of borders at the end of the day people are suffering from the actual people who were mad enough to destroy hundreds of lives. Yet you all always looked at me the same. To be in such a category… Interesting.”

Sighing as it seemed Burittsu was doing his best to keep the conversation alive without the need of him jumping the gun. It was clear to him that she was attempting to be there now when times didn’t matter anymore it was only himself that he could bring into battle. Smiling to himself he did recall telling Arisu that he would be doing such activities yet the news itself didn’t reach this one. He didn’t have time to get everyone involved but as long as the information was recovered it mattered not. Coughing once more before clearing his throat, Burittsu was only being straightforward with the shinobi.

“The best help you could do is tell Arisu the truth before she left the village. I already informed her of finding and killing Raijin. I did this in front of her and the Hokage. That’s all there is other than that go sit down and watch the world burn like you all have been doing let this soldier do his job. Forget about me and move on. They that threaten this village will die. As for Ren Uchiha, when he said he could destroy half of our village if he pleased, that only brought a smile to my face.”

Chuckling to himself Burittsu didn’t care, truly he knew his role as the sword that Blitz enjoyed playing a simple mind the boy was now it was something to use. So he must keep fighting till he himself broke off the hilt. Maybe being found broken amongst the wildlife was something he wanted to do for himself and Blitz. A mercy to finally killing off the demon the boy became yet with people actually caring for him or caring about his actions nothing could be done. It was annoying in a way to be constantly looked at when others were scared of his answers. Another chuckle escaped his breath before he decided to speak once more the idea in his mind only grew.

“Focus on the shinobi who you can control. The time for peace is over. I understand if fighting is never anyone’s first within this village or outside but if you won’t let me die you’re blocking my path. There’s a shinobi out there like me at least when it comes to what we carry. I'd like to keep my promise to the Lady of Konoha. And bring him back alive with the head of both our enemies if possible. If not well you can sleep easier at night knowing I died for the fake peace you all claim too. I won’t be going with you. I won’t be remembered for being weak. For this village that was her home is now my home and I’ll carry you all into battle.”

Burittsu pointed behind the woman towards the entrance. It was clear all he wanted to do was go out and fight till he won or lost. Whether she wanted him to or not did not matter; he had the village to save and he wasn’t surprised with the way she was attempting to keep him now within the village. Yet he knew the answers that would be said if he asked her why she didn't fight or why the others remained silent while such hate roamed the shinobi world. For once Burittsu didn’t need to think like Blitz time was all that was needed for the minds to blend in and for the ideological thoughts of that shinobi to leak in from time to time. He had nothing more to do in his life.

    “…”

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Tue Jul 30, 2024 3:47 pm

The more he spoke, the more convinced she became that he was in no condition to fight Raijin and Chen. He appeared too unstable and though his speech was heartfelt, it was obvious that he was operating on some kind of a "death wish." It was as if he was obsessed with the concept of dying in battle. And most of his screed was based on this desire.

Every now again though, he loosed a nugget of information that was noteworthy. Arisu gave him permission to go on this mission? The horned Princess seemed not to take him all that seriously but it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that she'd greenlight such a mission. Especially if it meant he'd be stepping down....he's clearly as mad as the reports indicate and if using him as a weapon against our enemies keeps him away from the levers of power then why not? Kitsuki considered letting Burritsu pass her on those grounds alone, but there was something which stayed her hand.

It wasn't the threat made by Ren Uchiha, disturbing as it was, nor was it clandestine promise he had made to Airi. It was the fact that in all of his ramblings, Buri had not once explained why he was trying to take the Seven Swords without permission. He gave no defense of his actions. Presumably, the act's purpose should have been self-evident. He was a renown swords user and he was accostomed to unfettered access to the nation's artifacts as Mizukage. But that wasn't good enough for Kitsuki. It was entirely possible that his ends were more nefarious or driven by a spark of madness that was far less indefensible than an assassination mission.

He's been working with Airi behind our backs.....he heard Ren openly threaten the village......I don't know what he's up to but he's not going anywhere until I find out!

Kitsuki's eyes flashed with a ray of gold. The indomitable resolve of her Angel continued to flood her body. She knew that she had to get to the bottom of this and she'd start with asking Arisu about this "mission." It was the one point in the man's favor despite being caught red-handed. If Arisu had blessed his decision and his right to access the swords, then Kit would acquiesce. But if not, Kitsuki would stick with her original plan.

Find Arisu. Ask her about what's going on with Buri.
    Oⵏ ⵉⵜ!

Zizz floated from Kitsuki's hair. A bird-sized naked Angel covered in a myriad of wings and shining bright like the sun, whizzed out of the vault at lightspeed. The Angel would canvass the entire city and even the Earth itself hoping to find Arisu. When the visage of the regal Ōtsutsuki came into view, it'd pop out of space directly in front of her. By now, Arisu Ōtsutsuki would probably be use to Zizz spontaneously appearing around her. The two Princesses used Zizz as a medium to communicate across vast distances. Checking in on another, resolving issues that required dual consent and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Empire across space and time. Wasting not a beat, the Angel informed Arisu of the situation.

Despite the distance or barriers involved, Kitsuki tether with the Angel would remain intact. She had full access to her patron's abilities and she'd remain rooted in front of the only exit point in the vault. If Buri attempted to pull a fast one, she'd make sure he'd regret it. She silently molded a technique within her body and kept her eyes fixed on his position.

"I just sent my Angel Zizz to speak to Arisu. Depending on what she says, I may let you go but if we determine that its not in Kiri or your best interest to proceed with this mission then I will kindly ask that you drop your weapons and come with me. You're not well Burritsu-san and while I understand you want to serve Kiri....I'm not sure this is the best way to do it."

    OOC:

Zizz Translation: kitsuki just caught burritsu going through the village armory.  we think he was trying to take the remaining seven swords of the mist without permission. when we confronted him, he said that you were aware of his decision to go after raijin and chen in some kind of assassination mission. i'm not sure what he told you at the time but it seems like he's been working exclusive with airi on this. kit hasn't heard anything about it and she wants to know if you sanctioned this collaboration or the mission behind it. if so, we think you should reconsider....he seems really unstable. like he's not thinking straight and unless you gave him explicit permission to take all the swords from the armory we don't think he should be going off to take those two on. kit wants to bring him in for further questioning and mind reading....he needs mental help arisu and if he tries to take on raijin and chen in his current state, he may end up getting killed or captured. we have him in the vault right now, he's calm for the moment but we're not sure how long it'll last....

Pretty much same as previous post but adding in Divine Messenger and a prepped technique.

Grand Time Empty Re: Grand Time

Post by Kazuki Furukawa Tue Jul 30, 2024 6:40 pm

Kazuki was moving through the halls of the Mizukage Complex looking a bit bemused. In his hand he held a piece of paper with written directions upon it. He had gotten them from the nice lady at the receptionist desk. He had come to get some basic equipment now that he was a shinobi for the village and when he arrived at the complex it had been the first time he had come here. The sprawling administrative building was confusing to someone who had never been there as one might expect. So when he asked the receptionist for directions to the Armory it was obviously extremely busy and the woman looked composed, but harried. She had looked at him with an expression that was a mixture of ‘I don’t have time for this’ and ‘It’s not his fault though, help him and move on.’ That seems to be the hallmark of receptionists everywhere. Her response had been to smile politely, take a sticky note from her desk and right a series of directions upon it. Once she had she passed him the note and pointed down the hallway as the starting point. He smiled and nodded, thanked her profusely and moved on.

Now he was moving down the halls, looking around and taking in everything. Looking, as previously stated, somewhat bemused. Still he had followed his directions to the letter thus far. He had a couple of more turns to go before he reached storage rooms for general gear such as kunai, shuriken, various specialty weapons and such. However when he turned the corner he saw a room partway down the hall that was open and someone was standing within the door. Already he was close enough to vaguely hear the words coming from within. Watercooler talk then? He continued down the hall, his sticky note in hand and as he got closer to the door he heard the words more clearly.

‘The best help you could do is to tell Arisu…’

He listened to the words as he got closer, listening to the man within speak and realized it was not simple water cooler talk as he had initially suspected. Furthermore he could recognize the voice of the man as the previous Mizukage. An individual known throughout the village, much less to a student that was going to be one of his soldiers soon. Within the doorway he could see Kitsuki Kurahasa. One of the two Princesses that led Kirigakure now. He froze midstep, not wanting to draw undue attention to himself. He did not know how serious what was happening was. If he moved past Kitsuki, an act that would make him clearly visible to anyone and everyone in the room. He might cause issues with the confrontation. Something he did not want to happen. If he spoke aloud, his interference would not only probably be unwarranted and unwanted, but outright detrimental to the situation at hand. His best course of action therefore, was to be still and be silent and await developments.

His body still tensed for action. He could not do much, as he still did not even have a sword. However if there was some kind of confrontation going on between the previous leader of the village and the current ones. He would do what he could to help his superiors. Burritsu chuckled a couple of times, evidently lost in his own thoughts. Then began to speak once more. Kazuki listened to the words, the man’s desire to die. That he wouldn’t be remembered for being ‘weak’. His desire to go out and fight someone similar to himself because of ‘something they held’. Kazuki could barely make heads or tails of what he was saying.

He sounded sick though, sounded as if he needed a room with foam walls and a nice tight jacket to keep him safe. He saw a shift in Kitsuki’s hair as ‘Zizz’ left but he did not see her or understand what it was. However when Kitsuki spoke to Burritsu he understood. A messenger, and a fast one too. Hopefully this is settled peacefully.. he thought as he listened to her try to talk him down. Kazuki kept out of sight and made no noise. It was safer that way. One did not distract someone when they were trying to calm a mad dog. He also didn’t run or leave. In the off chance, the single minute possibility he could be of service somehow. He needed and wanted to be here. To do whatever he could to help. Besides, if his ‘mad dog’ thought was accurate, then the sound of him running away might just flip Burritsu’s switch simply because he thought Kazuki was coming to attack him.

Funny how he had simply come here to get his basic equipment. Some Kunai, Shuriken, and a Sword. That was the most important thing on the list in his eyes. He was a sword user and with one he could at the very least protect himself with his Dark Release abilities. He wanted to keep them hush hush from everyone. However, if there was a time to be ready to use them, then it was definitely now. He did not even have that going for him at the moment. His fingers twitched a bit as he felt the tension of the situation and a bead of sweat formed on his brow as he stood, and listened. Perfectly still, and perfectly quiet, hoping to everyone that this whole situation could be calmed down.

Post by Burittsu Wed Jul 31, 2024 1:43 am

Samehada continued to do the job at hand as Burittsu sighed once more watching the princess and her antics; she was cautious but he had no reason to trust her. She, like everyone else in the village, allowed Blitz to fall victim to the enemy and she herself had the mindset to think she was the boys superior.

There were only two people in the life of this shinobi who Blitz actually respected and one of them currently remained in a destroyed tower. The other was the one with the most power in the village, chuckling a little, Burittsu felt a slight vibration from Samehada upon his back causing him himself to activate his sensory making the situation a lot more clearer for him.

Two chakra signatures one remained hidden and the other was molding chakra two who thought it was a good idea to stop him. Since he had them both in his range Burittsu could do nothing but keep his side of the bargain and not harm whoever Blitz deemed to be family. Regardless of their fate, for Burittsu it was too early. It did make him happy that she did listen a little bit enough to allow Arisu to know the situation regardless of how it appeared.

He had no need to entertain her or her title whatever she thought it held to the man. In his own planning he molded his own chakra preparing for a battle since she seemed to be motivated now to save the life of this boy. Yet the smile remained as his eyes locked with her two versus one was only going to get things to play his way more. Burittsu could only play nicely so he decided to continue.

“… Who are you? You talk like you know me. You’ve read papers never truly seen me have you. I hate the light but for him. I had to do things my way. Since the failure of our village almost created a war and somehow I prevented it. Lucky Bastard.  Yet no one has come to clear up the mistake made huh? It’s not your fault you had better things to do. I opened my eyes to the truth war can happen by anyone’s hand. Imma spider by the way. Sero is my superior. Thank you.”

Burittsu took two steps closing in the distance with a smile upon his face as the sensation of his energy dared to lurk towards the princess. Burittsu was calm and silent, getting a good look at this warrior. Indeed he was amused to see such a human helping her out the distance was now eight meters. Before Burittsu lifts his arm and points directly at the door once more yet this time he would entertain the shinobi.

“Come out. It’s better if you’re honest and not a coward like our princess. I do recall you looked down upon us when the bijuu attacked the village. Must be nice. But the shadow of Arisu is just too big huh. Now that would be a fun fight one day. If I live, that is.”

Burittsu would chuckle a little before wondering to himself what was taking the young shinobi so long it was accustomed to him to meet every single shinobi and battle them. Yet this time he couldn’t enjoy himself. The battle must wait and he hadn’t a clue if his partner had started the hunt alone yet. But the opportunity to fight in front of him was so close, his mouth started to water a little bit the longer he looked at the princess. Before laughing a little to himself.

As one single tear shed down his face he was indeed sad that he couldn’t fight such a warrior it would be an amazing challenge to try this body on. But the biggest fish remained outside the pond. Looking past her as he watched the door, seeing if a response would work, he paid close attention to the detail of the situation and continued to press on.

“Introduce yourself already and stop hiding. If you're going to represent the so-called “empire” and this “princess” you gotta be loyal to the cause. Even if it means you look like the bad guy.”

Fixing his head to line up with the young woman he locked eyes with her as he continued to smile.

What may seem quiet and stealthy to a genin was unbearably loud and clumsy to a Jounin. With the power of Chronomeum coursing through her veins, Kit could hear Kazuki a mile away. He right at the edge of the door of the vault and he was obviously eavesdropping on the tense conversation. Kit did not take her eyes off of Burritsu but she opened to speak, only to be cut off once more by the would-be thief. He mocked her and called her a coward. He tried to get under her skin by drawing an unfavorable comparison to Arisu. The insults might sting under normal circumstances, but not today. Kitsuki had been in this situation before. A former Mizukage stealing the nation's treasures and screwing off to god-knows-where on an alleged mission of "higher purpose."

Kit had made sure to paint the Eastern Walls of Kiri with their entrails.

Fortunately, Buri's were insignificant compared to Hana's. He could still make it out of this situation alive. For no matter how many taunts he threw at her, she did not view him as the enemy. He was just a troubled shinobi living in a world that cared nothing for a warrior's mental health. He was more than a weapon to be used up and tossed aside. Even if he couldn't see it yet.

When Buri challenged the intruder to step forth, Kitsuki quickly intervened.

"Do NOT come into this room soldier. That's an order." Kit looked at the two guards who were still in the room. They were putting on a stoic front but Kit could tell they were scared witless. Two titans of Kiri were having a tense conversation and neither of them were backing down. In moments such as these, even Jounin were likely to become casualties. Deciding to kill two birds with one kunai, Kitsuki called out to the shinobi. "Escort the genin out of the armory at once and clear the building. Establish a perimeter and don't let anyone else in except for Princess Arisu."

The guards would nod and slide past her. They'd find a young and curious genin in the hallway who was way out of his element. The ninja would then gently guide Kazuki out of the hallway, building and area in general. If Kazuki proved resistant, she'd offer more encouraging words without once glancing at him.

"I know you want to help but this situation is far above your level of skill. I don't want you or anyone else getting hurt in the crossfire."

As the guards sheparded Kazuki away from the scene and cleared the armory of all civilians and shinobi, Kitsuki would sigh and meet Buri's gaze with a look of cold defiance.

"You're right. I don't know you. But I do know that you're more than just a weapon. You kept this nation safe while I could not. You averted a war with our greatest ally while I could not. For that you'll always have my gratitude and if you were trained by Sero then I suppose you'd be a lethal force to reckon with. You might hate me for my failures Burittsu but I'll never stop respecting you for your successes. Its why I won't let you run off and get yourself killed before you're ready. And its why I won't let you tarnish your reputation by leaving this vault a would-be thief."

Kitsuki had nothing more to say to the former Mizukage. Arisu's response should arrive soon and when it did, the Yuki would have a decision to make.

Grand Time Empty Re: Grand Time

Post by Arisu Thu Aug 01, 2024 1:56 pm

Arisu had a pounding headache. It had been fairly bad the last few days, so she'd spent most of it alone and locked up in her room for the majority of time. Her third eye was the only one she left open as she tried to keep her others closed with a warm compress on her face from the eyebrows and lower for the time being. Luckily, she didn't need to breathe. She was laid out on her bed, still in her usual white and blue robes and kimono, Kiba Blades directly next to her.

The remaining five Seven Swords were lined against her wall. She'd been meaning to return them to their proper place, but having been waylaid in her own home, they were under careful scrutiny, more so than normal.

Her eye picked up the subtle change in the environment as Zizz popped into being. A message from Kitsuki.

Sitting up, she received the message and slowly opened her eyes, the golden orbs appearing momentarily before she shielded them briefly from the sudden light. Having to recall the exact nature of their conversation in Konoha, Arisu confirmed and denied some information on the spot.

"Burittsu relinquished his claim to Mizukage to me in the presence of the Hokage. I gave him leave to find Raijin, but to request aid once he was located and not to engage. I did not give leave to hunt down Chen. He requested to keep multiple of the Seven Swords, but I denied the request. The fact that he attempted to steal them is treason."

Arisu softly spoke. Getting up slowly, Arisu placed a hand on her head to try and relieve some of the pressure of her headache.

"I will arrive momentarily to assist."

Picking up the Kiba Blades, she attached them to her back expertly. Activating her Six Path's Sage Mode, Arisu's form shifted slightly, growing marginally taller, her horns growing back and up as some of her skin darkens. Her Rinnegan activated as well, active in all 3 of her eyes now. She went and bundled up the 5 Seven Swords into one bundle, lifting it onto her shoulder.

Enhanced by the Six Path's Sage Mode, her headache immediately went away, or rather the pain from it was gone. She opened a portal and stepped into it, appearing close to where the Seven Swords were intended to be housed, but without actually going there directly. Still about 100 meters out, she could close that distance in half a second. She dashed by Kazuki with such speed that he wouldn't even register the movement, instead seeing her appear where she was as if she'd gone there directly.

In that span of time, her Truth Seeking Orbs had manifested behind her, floating passively. It cost her nothing to maintain those in a passive sense, so it would be smarter to have them up than not. Who knew how Burittsu would react.

Dropping the bag off with the Jounin who were heading towards Kazuki, she spared a momentary word with them. "These are to be returned to the vault upon the conclusion of this issue. Use them if necessary."

Then she joined Kitsuki and Burittsu's conversation. Her eyes trained on the former Mizukage, ready to act immediately if he were to begin taking on violent actions. For now, she would listen silently. Kitsuki had been first on scene, and if she had this handled, then Arisu didn't want to step on her toes. As she said to Zizz, she was here to assist, not take over. However, she wouldn't hesitate to begin a fight if Burittsu wanted one.

Perhaps it was a curse of sorts, a madness in the blood of the Yuki. Nikuyo had been a monster. Sayuri had turned out insane and evil. Now Burittsu was showing more and more his own signs of madness. It had been evident for some time, but blatant treason became a new issue. More and more she thought about what it meant to be an Otsutsuki, or to emulate them. To share the trait of chakra. Perhaps it was the pure duality of her kind, some benevolent, some pure evil, that had been passed on along with chakra. There was often very little neutrality. Was Chakra maddening to those that possessed it?

With how strong of a Shinobi Burittsu was, perhaps it was smarter to end him now. He was already on that path. They'd killed others for similar reasons before. It was hard to hold those like that.

Grand Time Empty Re: Grand Time

Post by Burittsu Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:07 am

Burittsu sighed after hearing the response from the woman. Everything that came out of her mouth was he had a reply ready but he was amused once he sensed her presence. Her reply was sincere but she was still a warrior yet the other one pulled the one Blitz admired most in the village due to her strength. The situation for the shadow had increased into rather a bothersome moment all for the swords sighing he ended up putting himself in a certain mood. Moments later Arisu the Mizukage appeared with black orbs floating behind her due to her presence alone Burittsu was excited.

He had gained the attention of not one but both as one was concerned the other was ready a lethal duo appeared. Yet he had nothing to hide or deny continuing to study Arisu; he could only smile due to the fact these two alone would be trouble enough. Time wasn’t on his side for long but entertaining the three shinobi before him would bring some happiness. Burittsu chuckled a little bit but he wasn’t surprised it came down to such a moment. Before gazing at the woman in front of him Burittsu bowed his head slightly to Arisu as upon his face the thrill of battle for him was indeed growing.

A large smile from cheek to cheek before he finally gave in and laughed to himself. Eight meters stood between him and the other scratching the back of his head. It had been a while since he had to negotiate. Walking towards Kit the shinobi made it clear and simple, cutting the distance completely and standing before the princess. Stopping his chakra mold and his ability the aura of light blue around him faded away. It was early for the man there was no need for him to throw away such a large portion of his hard work for something as little as this. Samehada remained calm and stoic as Burittsu could only smile in the face of both of these shinobi.

Three versus one could only end up in so many ways especially if escape wasn't guaranteed he only had time on his side. Hopefully it wouldn’t betray him. Lifting both of his arms up to the princess he awaited her response giving her an opportunity to end this situation either by cutting him down or other means. Burittsu didn’t come back to fight anyone besides the number one threat to their lives.

“I am well. It’s all of you who fail to realize my nature. My opinion will never change. Nothing but a weapon to be pointed at our enemies but you would rather cripple us to keep whatever you call peace. You can take me if you want but I won’t become a shinobi who sits and watches the world and its people die. What is the point of becoming powerful if all you do is use it for your own goals?”

Cracking his neck he dropped his arms in front of the woman ready to be arrested Burittsu took one knee in front of everyone. He had somewhere he had to be regardless of the rules and whatever was being spoken for a cautious world. It seemed he had to shake the boat for everyone to wake up. Nothing surprised him, everyone had their own opinion. Yet what was done was the usual answer. Nothing.

“Once more Mizukage. May I use the blades. I need to kill our enemies Raijin and maybe his friend Chen Otsutsuki. I ask you to let me risk my life for this time. The witness is another princess and a young shinobi. Let me fight for the village. And when I win I will bring you back your weapon. If not then it’s simple for me. Because death must earn me.”

Grand Time Empty Re: Grand Time

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:07 pm

The minute the message was received, it was communicated. Zizz was right back at Kit's shoulder in a split second and with it heartbreaking news. The Angelic Princess kept a cool expression but internally she felt hollow. Buri had lied, or at least, he had been very loose with the facts of his story. Upon learning that he had already been denied the right to acquire all Seven Swords by a Princess, she had no choice but to come to the conclusion that this robbery was intentional and premeditated. The motive and required mens rea had been established. Worse yet, he had twisted Arisu's initial order. He had turned what sounded like a recon mission into an assassination attempt. Also, the Hokage, who had heard Arisu's words, had decided to play along with this scheme. If Buri's words were to be believed then Airi was in on it. Fortunately, Kitsuki could no longer trust a single word out of the man's mouth. He might have been lying about Airi's involvement as well.

    Treason.

A harsh word. She wasn't sure it fit the laughing mad man but she couldn't ignore the implications of his actions either. Mere moments after Zizz's arrival, Arisu joined the two in the vault. The star woman was flanked by a series of threatening looking orbs. They were pitch black and seemed to be under her direct influence. Burritsu continued to plead his case but it fell on deaf ears. As he drew closer, Kitsuki remained tense and ready for action. He once more demanded the right to die for his country even going so far as to drop to his knee in supplication. He was not going to fight them but he clearly did not see just how wrong his actions were. Kit looked down as he continued to beg for the swords. He called Arisu the "Mizukage." A fact that irked Kit considerably. She meant to have a lengthy conversation about Arisu with respect to that. There was no "Mizukage" between them. The Princesses ruled Kiri as equals and either this was a hamfisted attempt to drive a wedge between them or like most of his statements, there was an element of truth to the Yuki's words.

"How dare you lie to me." Kitsuki spoke with conviction. The sweetness and understanding from before had evaporated. She knew what he was doing and she would not suffer his lunacy any longer. "You will address either of us as Princess and you will do so with equal reverence and respect. Kirigakure no longer has a Mizukage, we've seen to that personally and the office only exists at our pleasure. Arisu has informed me that you've previously requested the swords and were denied. So now you've tried to storm our armory and take them by force. Additionally, you were specifically told not to engage Chen nor Raijin. The last Mizukage who tried making a fool of this village and its treasures died a traitor's death and the only reason you're still breathing is because of your past devotion to the Isles."

Kitsuki gingerly stepped to the side, approaching Buri at an angle. She sighed and the spoke the very words she had once spoken to Buri's predecessor.

"On the authority of the Princess Council and in the name of justice...I hereby place you under arrest."

At her maximum speed, she disarmed him. Ripping Samehada away from his person and tossing it to the side of the vault. She had no intention of wielding it so she would not be harmed but its hostility, that and her armour and high constitution ensured she was protected. She then grabbed his arms and wrenched them behind his back using her fists to form the tightest cuffs in the world. She gripped his left wrist in her right hand and his left wrist in her right hand, crossing them behind his back and keeping him from making extraneous movements. If he resisted, it would engender further violence. Assuming Buri complied, Kitsuki would turn to Arisu.

"I want to have his mind read. Apparently the Hokage is involved in planning this secret operation and Ren had threatened Kiri to his face. There's more he either doesn't remember or isn't telling us....once we get to the bottom of that, we'll decide what to do with him."

Kitsuki didn't address the "Mizukage" issue. They needed to put on a united front and that rather meaningless title could be discussed privately at a later date. For now, they had a traitor to interrogate. Kitsuki would give Buri a gentle nudge with her knee indicating that he should walk forward. She had hoped to avoid this but now that she knew the full extent of Buri's lies and betrayal, she had no choice but to march him out of the vault with his hands behind his back. The trio would thus leave the armory and head towards the Defense Coordination Center. As they walked, Zizz sprinted forwards through the air with the intention of alerting the shinobi to prepare the Mind Reading Machine.

A whirlwind of things happened as Kazuki stood, still and as quietly as he could. Obviously first, he had been heard. Or something else had given him away. Both Burritsu and Princess Kitsuki had addressed him and given him orders. Burritsu to come out and meet him face to face. Kitsuki to leave immediately. The Princess issued orders to the two Jounin within the vault doors and as they turned to move toward him and see him and others removed for their safety the second Princess arrived. Kazuki blinked in surprise at that, as the woman had suddenly appeared. As if blinking into existence from where there had been no one. Has she been invisible? Or had she simply moved so fast he could not see it? Both were equally possible as far as he was concerned. She handed one of the Jounin a large bundle, within which Kazuki could see multiple hilts poking out. Weapons, and according to her they were to be returned to the vault after this situation was resolved?

That meant they were probably the swords Burritsu was looking for. The Jounin nodded in response and hefted the bulky bundle upon his shoulders, grunting with the effort due to the the sheer size and mass of a couple of the weapons. With that her and the other one moved toward Kazuki. The new shinobi suppressed his desire to argue. Both Princesses were his superior officers and one of them had given him an order. She had not even needed to further tell him that she understood he wanted to help. So far as he was concerned once she had told him to leave. He was to leave and that was that. He turned with the Jounin and looked to the one not carrying a large bundle of swords. “Could we at least go by the general armory so I can get what I came here for? You’d have to go by there anyway to evacuate everyone as Princess Kitsuki ordered anyway.” He asked his tone somewhat hopeful. The Jounin hesitated a moment considering, but finding no fault in the logic nodded and turned them toward the general armory where all the regular equipment was stored to be distributed as necessary.

Along the way the Jounin had others evacuate offices and tasks that they had been doing to leave. Once they reached the armory. Kazuki took a few moments to obtain 10 Kunai and Shuriken and 30 Caltrops. As well as a Titanium forehead protector, and the most important part of the trip, a Katana. Taking the sheathed weapon and tying it to his waist. Then the Jounin escorted him out. Given the sensitive nature of what was occurring in the vault, Kazuki kept his hand upon the hilt of his newly acquired weapon. Ready to do whatever he needed to do to protect the swords within the bundle upon one of the Jounin’s shoulder. He looked at the bundle at times longingly, not bothering to hide his goals in regards to them. He wanted to wield one of those weapons one day. However he would need to earn the right to do so. For now he would use this sword. Perhaps even order one of his own from a crafter. Then he would start working toward his goal of gaining one of the Legendary Swords of The Mist. For now though, he had a starting point and what he needed to progress. Now he just needed to do the work.

Burittsu didn’t resist Kit at all, allowing her to do what she needed to secure a peace of mind, throwing Samehada and getting the shinobi in a proper lock. The shinobi didn’t resist; he gave up and played the game now that it seemed the more he talked the more they didn’t listen. The shadow could only laugh as he gave up the power to the woman before he found himself being escorted out by the young kunoichi. He only had a smile upon his face due the situation he only had one choice and that was to use what he knew to his benefit. Regardless of what would go on after this Burittsu had his mind clear and as his confined Blitz to eternal darkness.

Hoping whoever was the talented person snooping around for answers wouldn’t take notice of the original. Keeping to the truth so they could see everything he said for themselves, in the end his true goal was to do the right thing by his village. It didn’t matter how history would remember him, only how those who knew the truth would react to him. A smile crept over his face as he started walking forward towards the door he had no need to fight, only patience.
