The kind of mental presence there for the negotiations wavered a bit, dipping as Okane asked his rather coy question. The finger to the lip entranced the man without his even noticing it and as he went for a sip of his coffee, he poured most of the gulp down his face and shirt, recoiling quickly. Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to stain your table or anything.
Without any napkins and blushing feverously at his mistake, the boy went to wipe it up with his sleeve, finding it only slightly effective. Eventually he would regain a bit of focus, realizing he'd need to answer Okane's question; he rubbed the back of his head and spoke. Oh... sorry, I just kind of assumed. I thought your company might have owned those lands, so I kink of just assumed I guess.
After his little blunder, he felt too bad to even go back for any more of the coffee, despite how delicious it was. He listened intently either way as Okane explained the gravity of the request. Hisha could hardly believe his own gall at having asked for such a thing as the other man spoke. His foray's into barrier techniques would never be worth something so powerful... even if he did not fully know what it did. Artifacts of that nature were akin to the Seven Mist Swords, things of legend. He had a hard enough time now wasting all of his chakra on just a couple barriers, like he had with Blitz. Still, at the mention of an alternative, a few tattoos of mice, wispy as if woven from shadow, peaked out from his clothing, their eyes a completely, empty void of his pale flesh. He knew, of course, on a cerebral level that every village - and organization - had need of sealers with certain powers. He also knew that, while the school of fuinjutsu had many practitioners, it did not have as many people motivated to make new seals and barriers such as himself, mostly out of necessity as he had nearly no other means of combat.
Oh, wow, that would be pretty nice I guess...
His voice did not change so much in tone, but that surer, more confident would return after the small trail off. A performance bonus, you're smarter than even the tallest tales that accompany you. I think I've heard Kumo had a collection of valuable barriers and seals; those might well make the top of the list for these bonuses, if you've the access. Anyway, I can work with that; might I ask if you had any special requests of your own? Particular applications you were looking for?
Hisha would, of course, produce barriers and such on his own and could happily share, but if Okane had any particular issues or problems, it might help to know about them in advance. He had been thinking of an improvement to the standard village-wide sensory matrix though. He might have to work harder on that to expedite that particular process.
The moment of clarity passed again, not entirely, but the boyishness would return a bit. Hisha would reach out his hand to shake, but realize his sleave was still quite damp from the coffee, so he quickly shoved his hand into his pockets. Sorry again for the mess. Oh, and thank you for, well, spending the time. It's really, uh, it's been so great to meet you and... get to know you too.
He did not know that their meeting was definitively over, and Okane may well have more questions or concerns or requests, but Hisha also did not want to monopolize the man's time. He was a lord of commerce, and Hisha was a wee genin, barely even assigned a mentor.
