Diana felt like she could relax a bit for this mission, as unlike the other missions where she needed to kill, this one was an escort mission. She liked simple missions, it reminded her of the days where she would paint the fences of the elderly or rounded up livestock that escaped their pens. Hopefully this mission would be as relaxing as those simpler days. Deciding to use this time to acclimate to Nue's transformation on longer, non-combat missions instead of quick bursts of power like before, once Diana had greeted her ward and was told of their destination, a small town near Desert's End, she had transformed into Nue and began the long trek down the well maintained dirt roads she had commissioned a good while back.
As they walked, Diana would make idle conversation with those in the caravan, speaking about her time as a craftswoman and possible business partnerships with Iwatomics Incorperated. She had to make it clear that while she was the one who owned the company, it was a separate business from running Iwagakure as she didn't want to make weapons through her company unless necessary. It took some haggling, but Diana was able to get a small deal out of it before she sensed ill intent on the edges of her sensory.
Guard up, Diana looked around for the potential threat and saw a pack of wolves. Her ward was carrying perishable dried meats, so that was probably why they were here. Making a single step forward Diana gave a grown with Nue's voice, but they did not back down. "Stay in your wagons, I'll deal with this." With a sigh Diana engaged with the beasts, charging right at them and striking down the closest wolf. Seeing their companion go down, they'd attack her, but it didn't stop Diana, instead only emboldening her as she tool them down. Several minutes later all the wolves were dead and the corpses were loaded onto an empty caravan.
The remainder of the guard duty was silent and uneventful, something Diana was perfectly fine with as she realized she had let Nue take the lead without her realizing it. Once they reached the small town, Diana reverted, gave a bow of goodbye, and left.
So much for a relaxing mission.
