Bandits. Again. She was getting tired of bandits already. She was getting tired of fighting, but that spark, that flame of anger that she held for Chen kept her going. She had heard about these bandit attacks on small settlements going around a few times, but the fact she needed to step in herself instead of one of her shinobi or warmachina stepping in proved that things had gotten worse in her land while she was gone. Was it because she was not a good leader, or was it that in her absence those who could lead were not up to the task? It was something that bothered her every so often.
Arriving at the settlement, Diana didn't even bother to wait as she transformed into Nue and began to look around for her enemies. She could hear a few screams throughout the village, but she paid it no mind as she walked into the small town; those knowing of who she was quickly going into their houses. The bandits in the meantime looked at her in fear, not having expected the kage herself to come and deal with them personally, yet here she was. Letting out a roar frustration, Diana would set about taking each of the bandits attacking the village in swift fashion, using her snake tail to reach into the buildings that the bandits attempted to retreat into to avoid her wrath and pull them out. Before she would have felt bad for these bandits, but she could not bring herself to feel that way anymore.
An hour would pass as she finished taking out the last of the invaders and reverted back into her normal human self, though it would take an extra few seconds for her eyes to revert. Wordlessly, she'd go over to one of the corpses and stared at it, their lifeless eyes filled with fear. They knew what could happen, and yet they still attacked, why? pulling out Chika's lighter she'd flick it on and debated incinerating the body right here and now for several seconds before putting it away and simply picking up the deceased to move them. Even if they were her enemies, the dead still deserved some respect and would all be burned as one unit; dying just as they lived.
Once they were all taken care of, she'd slip away to the Onoko Mines. There was work to be done there.
