Buildin Up a Stampede (Anzo)

Anzo is a bit surprised when Peragus approaches him, letting him know that the tenketsu points needed to be found, and that to aid him in finding and then learning to use them, they would need to be closed momentarily so he would be capable of finding them in order to better facilitate his ability to learn the technique. The Aburame nods once, despite being told that it would be painful at first, but that they would then be allowed to open again. Pain wasn't a new thing, particularly to a medical ninja. Still, despite trying to brace himself for it, his cheek twitches a bit as the tenketsu points are closed. The pain is at least only momentary, and then it just feels a little bit sore in the two tenketsu points. He flows chakra towards them, using the same control over chakra afforded to him by his training with the Chakra Enhanced Strength to feel out where the chakra can't quite reach to know where the blockages are exactly.

With a curt nod, he lets Peragus unblock the tenketsu, then he focuses intently on feeding himself into those two tenketsu points, and he feels his body flood with chakra instantly. His eyes turn fully white for a moment before his irises and his pupils return, chakra flowing around him and out of him like a flame, its dark green color appearing quite thickly, but Anzo almost immediately ends the technique, grunting as he stumbles a bit. He had originally dismissed the suggestion of hospital time in his own mind, since he was a medical ninja himself, but after feeling how sapped his chakra pool was after the use of the technique for only a short while, he decided it would be best to go to the hospital once they've finished training after all.

The points on his body still feel sore, but now he's certain that it's because he fed so much energy into them that the tenketsu that they had been overloaded temporarily. Despite the pain, he still feels ready to get some more training in, although he definitely tries a few healing techniques first, with nothing really working, and he resolves to just stretch his muscles around the two points while he prepares for this last technique Peragus himself is ready to train him on.

OOC: 150/150 Pressure Points of Harm and Death

With Pressure Points of Harm and Death under Anzo’s belt it would not be time to show him another Taijutsu style and he stepped back from the man. This was of course meant to give both of them space for the various kata of the style. “Two more techniques, at least in regards to the ones obtained from Raijin. One I’ll only be able to go over the theory with you. We’ll start with the one we can practice though instead. It’s another Taijutsu Style called ‘Disturbance’. You’ll find this particularly effective against members of the Uchiha Clan. As its movements fool the ability for the eye to see your next move.” He would say before making another shadow clone that picked up the same stick the first one had used to guide Anzo in the proper appendage placements.

Dropping into the opening stance, Peragus would wait for Anzo to fall into it and go through any necessary corrections. Then he would begin to move, slowly, quietly. Masae would be not far away moving through her own kata’s, swinging the Kusanagi no Tsurugi in brilliant flashes of steel. Already having worked her way up to her full speed in her warm ups. As Peragus moved through the kata’s he would speed up, picking up the pace a bit to push Anzo into doing so as well and it seemed like he had the current pace down. He would watch Anzo’s speed carefully, judging when he could not speed up anymore and hold the pace there.

There he would hold the pace for a while, forcing the body to commit it to muscle memory. After a time he would wind down though, working his way back down the speed gradient until he finally stopped. Falling into a neutral stance and taking in a deep, calming breath as he regulated his chakra flow. He was more than simply used to running through taijutsu training and the actions were no different than breathing for him.

Description: Akin to a warrior's dance performance, the user is able to rapidly and relentlessly bombard his target, with precision, at various angles and locations. This style, comprised of sheer unpredictable movements, can easily catch his opponents off-guard. The technique debuffs opponents' Perception by two minuses for the purposes of tracking the user and increases the user's Speed and Coordination by two pluses. This style can be used as a Taijutsu, a Bukijutsu, or a Kenjutsu. This style also has the ability to completely scramble the precognitive abilities of the Sharingan, essentially rendering its visual predictive abilities useless.
Weaknesses: If the user stops moving and is rendered immobile then the "Sharingan scrambling" effect is negated.

Anzo watches the Hyuuga move into position for the next Taijutsu style before he starts beginning the katas, and even at half-speed he's struck by the quickness of the strikes for that style. It's also surprising just how quickly Anzo starts picking up this fighting style, with his positioning only needing some minor corrections from the shadow clone. It was really no wonder, since Anzo had learned many fighting styles himself already, he was becoming quite adept at learning new ones. Obviously, he wasn't going to be able to copy them on the fly and especially not during combat the way the Uchiha were preternaturally capable of, but he was starting to keep pace with the Hyuuga's kata movements; when the moves become too fast to keep up with as Peragus gradually moves up from half-speed kata to full-speed, Anzo simply performs the kata as quickly as he's able, simply performing the movements the way his body remembered them.

The Aburame continues to follow along with each movement as the speed gradually decreases again, though his muscles were starting to ache a bit from the amount of ninjutsu and taijutsu they had been training just now, and his mind wanders just a bit, starting with wondering if this soreness was similar to what those green jumpsuit oddballs felt on a daily basis. Thankfully, with Anzo's body able to go through the motions easy enough on autopilot as they become fully ingrained in his reflexive motion, he's capable of considering other thoughts, such as why Peragus would feel the need to train Anzo in all of these techniques when they'd started off with such an awkward meeting. Perhaps it was fate, if one believed in such a thing.

With the movements gradually coming to a close, Anzo relaxes his body a bit and drops the fighting stance as well, moving back up to more normal position. He could recognize the benefits of the fighting style, since it was so difficult for his own eyes to follow once the kata had reached a certain speed. He watches Masae out of the corner of his eye, but then when he finally turns some focus towards her, his eyes widen behind his glasses; he recognizes the sword as a highly treasured artifact. This situation with Peragus was getting more interesting by the second.

Peragus would nod in approval at the end of the last set of kata’s. “Excellent, you’ve got that down.” He would say before noticing Anzo’s attention on Masae, or more appropriately, her sword. “It’s the Kusanagi no Tsurugi, I gave it to her to arm her. If she’s so intent on guarding me and taking it so seriously I might as well give her an appropriate weapon, right?” He would ask, an eyebrow raising as he grinned. He turned to watch her continue her warm up for a few moments before nodding his head and turning back to Anzo. “Right, she’s mostly just wasting time while waiting for me to be ready for her to take a swing at now. So lemme show you one more technique I picked up from the scrolls Raijin had. Then maybe one or two I made personally. Then you can spectate her trying to cut my head off if you want. I don’t mind.” He would say before reaching for a closed scroll on his belt.

He took a pen from his pouch and began to write in the scroll, essentially giving Anzo the theory behind the technique he was intending to teach him. “This next technique I can’t give you a practical demonstration. Now can you really practice it yourself I’m afraid. Well, I suppose you could with a fission clone if you wanted. But essentially this technique involves you implanting a small needle within the brain of a target. The needle holds back a host of memories. The idea behind it to implant it into a person you intend to be a spy. The needle holds back the information that they are in fact a spy. Then you have the ultimate sleeper agent. You can cause the needle to shatter by releasing the technique and the original memories are returned.” He would explain, finishing writing it out before rolling the scroll up and holding it out to Anzo.

“Study that for a few if you want, memorize it, keep it for later. Whatever floats your boat.” He would say before standing back up and dusting off his posterior and stretching. “Interesting in the one or two personal techniques I could show you? They’re earth release and probably pretty basic. I’m pretty new to the element personally.” He would explain as he idly stretched each leg by squatting with one and extending the other one fully.

Description: The user seals away the target's memories by burying an extremely small needle into the brain's memory center. The memories can be restored by cancelling the technique, thereby destroying the needle. If a subordinate had this operation performed on their brains and has infiltrated an enemy camp, they can safely perform spy activity over a long period of time with no memory of being a sleeper agent. This could help enhance them in their act as they will fully believe their loyalty lies with the ones they are spying upon. If the user cancels the technique, the target will once again remember their mission as a sleeper agent.
Weaknesses: Once the technique is canceled, the user will need to surgically insert the needle again. Memories that are sealed are chosen at the time of insertion, which will typically require that either the target discloses all necessary information to the user, or the user reads the mind of the target prior to inserting the needle, because after the needle is in place, the memories it seals cannot be changed and will not be remembered until the technique is canceled either by the user's will or the destruction of the needle, typically only possible through Ijutsu.

Anzo is still a little bit shell-shocked to see Masae wielding such a treasured artifact, but he recovers as Peragus explains that he'd given her the sword in order to better protect him. It made sense to Anzo for such a thing; if one weren't skilled in the use of such a weapon, it's far better served in the hands of someone that is actually skilled in its use, especially one that feels a great deal of loyalty and a sense of responsibility for your life and well-being. Granted, Anzo wasn't entirely sure if Peragus was or wasn't skilled with weaponry, but considering his apparent focus on ninjutsu and taijutsu and the fact that Peragus didn't seem to carry any particular weapon of his own, it was unlikely that he was particularly skilled in the use of weaponry.

"Indeed! With such a weapon as the Kusanagi no Tsurugi in the hands of a trusted and skillful wielder, you'll not likely see much harm. Or, I hope so."

It was the closest Anzo typically came to expressing outright cordiality with most other people, but it was really the least Anzo could say to someone teaching him such legendary techniques; he wondered what the Tsuchikage would think of that, but he instantly removes the thought from his head.

"Well, as much as I admire her skill with the blade, I'm not sure a decapitation is in your cards today. But let me say again that it's an honor to learn such techniques from you."

He watches Peragus write for a while in the scroll, and Anzo considers interrupting the Hyuuga to point out that the Aburame himself isn't much knowledgeable in the use of Fuuinjutsu, but he holds his tongue until Peragus explains what the technique is and why there is no real way to practically demonstrate it. Almost immediately, Anzo opens the scroll, rapidly reading through the process of implanting the needle, how it can be used to block memories in the brain, and then how it can be shattered. It's actually a surprisingly complicated method of creating a sleeper agent, but Anzo has been training in medical techniques as well as Ninjutsu techniques, and so the knowledge of the technique is more easily grasped than the genin than for most people; he rolls it back up after having memorized its contents, then considers burning it to erase the technique from being taught to others. Instead, he hands it right back to Peragus.

"I have a few Doton techniques of my own that I've developed, or am thinking of developing. It wouldn't hurt to show them to you, though I think it would not be an even trade for the techniques you've taught me already! They say that two steel knives can sharpen one another, so it could be a learning opportunity for the both of us as Doton users to see what's possible."

Anzo had started his Ninjutsu training on Doton techniques. One might call him a specialist in the use of such an element, though he would deny it personally, if for no other reason than it would be somewhat embarrassing.

OOC: 250/250 Sennō Sōsa no Jutsu (Memory-Concealing Manipulative Sand Technique)

Anzo would take the scroll Peragus offered and begin to read it with a voracious appetite for knowledge. Causing the blindfolded man to grin appreciably. “Oh, I like you, anyone with a drive for knowledge like that.” He would say as he got up and rolled out his shoulders a bit. As Anzo read and eventually the Aburame would close the scroll and offer it right back to him. Peragus took it, nodding in acceptance. He could burn it as wished, or simply use it as a teaching method for others. Which is probably what he would do anyway.

Anzo would go on to talk about how he himself had a few earth release techniques he had made or was thinking of. That it wouldn’t hurt to show him them and that they probably wouldn’t be an even trade for what he had already been shown. Peragus would of course laugh at that, shaking his head in amusement.

“Anzo, you never answered my question, are you interested in the couple I could show you?” He would ask, stressing the word ‘you’ a bit. If Anzo said yes then Peragus would just continue teaching the last two techniques before then figuring out what to do. Once he had done that he would turn toward Masae. “Just a bit longer Masae, then you can try to kill me.” He would jest, prompting her to narrow her eyes at him and speak in a monotonous tone. “I have no intention of trying to kill you. Please do not make such jokes at my expense.” Which would cause Peragus to grin at her impudently.

Anzo is a bit surprised at the second offer to learn more of Peragus's own techniques; he'd thought the offer to show Peragus some custom techniques of his own was something of an implied agreement to learn some more of whatever Peragus would want to teach him. He decides he shouldn't jump to implications quite so much in normal conversation from now on and simply speak plainly on what he desires, that would likely get him at least a little farther ahead in dealing with other people.

"Ah. Sorry for not being clear. Yes, I'd thoroughly enjoy learning what you yourself have developed!"

In all honesty, he only hopes he doesn't sound too eager to learn from Peragus. The man was a legend that personally assisted in the assassination of Raijin, after all, though the ultimate fate of the Dragon was not so well known.

Anzo watches the interaction between Masae and Peragus with one of his eyebrows arched just slightly, but with his mouth far below the collar of his longcoat, the smirk he has on his mouth isn't quite so easily visible. He and Peragus seem to have a similar sense of humor, at least, and Peragus even admires Anzo's drive for knowledge; they might even be friends and not merely cordial acquaintances, though the Aburame wouldn't say such a thing aloud. People might have given him odd looks for stating something like that out loud, given Peragus's fame.

"If your flirting with death and Masae is over - er, perhaps a bit of tautology in that phrase - what's the first technique you'd like to teach me?"

Peragus would nod in acknowledgement of the answer before mentally going through two techniques. First would be Earthen Wave, then Grand Tremor. “I’ll show you in rank order, use the light rock weight technique to fly over 10 meters into the air.” He would say, giving the man instructions needed to avoid the technique. “Masae, incoming.” He would say with a bit more volume, nothing like a yell, but enough to make sure she knew it was directed at her. With that Peragus would flip through Four seals, Boar, Dog, Bird, Dragon, and channel chakra into the ground.

Immediately the ground a meter away from him all around would begin to rise up, like a tidal wave rising and moving forward. The ripple of earth would move outward from his location, moving out to move through the 50m all around Peragus. Masae would simply rise up, over the wave, then land once more once it had passed. The wave would continue outward and the earth where it had gone through would be none the worse for wear. Neither seeming disturbed nor disrupted. “I call it ‘Earthen Wave’ for reason’s I’m sure you can see for yourself. A rank force behind it, useful for creating distance or even an opportunity. Someone jumps over that and they’re vulnerable, or you’ve got some distance to work with.” He would explain as he beckoned Anzo back down.

He himself would rise up instead, moving into the air with Light Weight rock to allow the man to practice without hitting him. “You try, Masae, another.” He would say, calling out the last so Masae could hear it again. Prompting her to nod in acknowledgement.

Description: Earthen Wave is a technique that causes the ground beneath the users feet to rise up and down in a ring around them. The technique starts 1m away from the user and the wave ripples out to up to 50m around them in every direction. The wave will create a sort of rising earthen wave that rises to up to 10m high, providing visual cover from techniques and such if necessary and will carry a striking force of jutsu power. The wave is 5m across and the ground it leaves behind is left as it was before the wave moved through it. Causing it to appear normal.
Weaknesses:

Anzo acknowledges the order to use the Lightweight Rock Technique to float ten meters up with a simple nod, followed by him crossing his arms in front of him; despite not requiring handseals, he honestly still found it easier to concentrate on the technique with his arms in front of him, even if it wasn't for the use of handseals. He floats harmlessly up to the ten meters required, then watches with interest as Peragus performs the techniques himself. It's only with Anzo's highly focused staring that he catches the handseals for the technique before he sees the earth seeming to cascade into waves all around him, making it look similar to a ripple across a pond, but in far greater scale.

Anzo stays airborne until he can see that the ground has become level and placid once more, and then he ends the Lightweight Rock Technique once his feet are touching ground. Thankfully, he's fairly certain he can replicate most of the steps of the jutsu, and extrapolate for what he couldn't see, namely the movement of chakra. He waits for both Peragus and Masae to be Airborne again before he performs the same four handseals, and then pressing the Doton chakra he'd gathered in his stomach down hard through the bottom of his feet. He presses that chakra into the ground and then feels his Doton chakra spread through the ground underneath and around him, becoming a ripple, and then a great wave as it rises ten meters up and extending outwards in every direction, surprising Anzo momentarily, but looking somewhat similar to the technique Peragus had just performed.

OOC: 250/250 Earthen Wave

Peragus would nod in approval from his upper vantage point before landing after the wave of chakra passed by. “Good, it’s a useful technique against those stuck on the ground. Obviously it’s less useful against those who can fly.” He would say as he rolled his neck around a bit before moving on. The next technique was a bit of a doozy in certain ways. However he thought Anzo would be coordinated enough to not have it really mess with him so much. “The next technique is one I call ‘Grand Tremor’ and it’s essentially a localized earthquake.” He would explain as he began to go through the hand seals. He took them slower this time, to make sure Anzo could see them.

Boar - Horse - Dog

With that he would channel chakra into the ground and the entire area would begin to violently shake. Those with less than A rank coordination would find themselves forced off their feet and unable to get back up while the jutsu was maintained. “Those less coordinated find themselves on the ground, unable to rise while the technique is maintained. Those beneath the ground, burrowing, are torn up by the shifting earth around them. It’s a vicious technique to use against someone burrowing beneath the surface.” He would explain as he ceased applying chakra to the technique. The ground settled and stopped it’s shifting and shaking. Afterwards, Peragus would nod for Anzo to give it a try.

Description: Grand Tremor is a technique that creates a sizable earthquake throughout its range from the user. This causes the ground to shake violently and cause those standing to fall if they have any less than A coordination when the technique reaches them. They will be unable to regain their footing while the technique is maintained so long as they do not get above A rank coordination again. Secondary, while this technique does not do damage on its own normally. Its range does extend down too, and any that are underground when the range of the techniques reaches them will take jutsu power damage.
Weaknesses:

Anzo feels quite proud of himself for successfully learning such a technique, watching Peragus float back to the ground to further explain the limitations of the wave technique, although Anzo silently agrees that the technique is quite good against earthbound opponents. He considers the possibility of using it in conjunction with a technique he hasn't actually fully developed yet, but he realizes he's letting his thoughts run away with him when he should be focusing on Peragus as he speaks up again to start explaining the next technique to learn. He watches intently as Peragus performs the three handseals, letting Anzo learn the movements as well as the order while explaining that the technique creates a localized earthquake. The Aburame starts to worry just a little about creating an earthquake inside a building, but Peragus seems quite sure of the sturdiness of the building to withstand the motion.

Anzo can feel the earth begin to shift and shake under his feet, and after a few moments, Anzo is able to feel his muscles flex and relax in time with the movements, gradually stabilizing him until he's barely effected by the movement, allowing him to stand firmly in place. Even so, Anzo isn't sure he'd want to try and walk while the technique is active, as it seems to shift the earth enough that walking straight would be nearly impossible. Having seen how the technique is performed, Anzo feels that he'd be able to learn it as well. Even so, he makes sure to bend his knees just a little when Peragus gives him the go-ahead to train the technique. He closes his eyes while he performs the handseals, then presses his Earth Release chakra into the earth under him, spreading it out to a great distance, and then he imagines shaking the entire ground that he can feel his Doton chakra permeating. It starts off rather unimpressive and predictable, but then Anzo shifts the ground much more randomly, causing the ground to crack slightly from the constant shifting and smashing together within his control.

Anzo sighs and pulls back up on his chakra, leaving the earth as it is and letting the ground settle as he opens his eyes.

"Mmmm. Quite a technique for someone who's only recently picked up on Earth Release as you have! The techniques I've developed are far more subtle, but I think you'll like them all the same, Peragus. Though, you haven't shown much interest in them, and it does seem the lady Masae is becoming somewhat antsy..."

A pun comes to Anzo's mind, and, unable to stop himself from making the joke, he ensures his tone is as dry as possible.

"A lady in waiting, if you will."

OOC: 300/300 Grand Tremor

Anzo would perform the technique brilliantly and Peragus could give another nod of approval. Then however he would listen to Anzo’s words, taking a look at Masae when he brought her up and noting that she seemed ready to go. However Peragus was not finished. He hadn’t been uninterested in what Anzo could show him too. He simply wanted to finish everything he could teach the man first when he was so close to doing so anyway.

Turning toward Masae he would speak to her, his tone amused. “Getting bored Masae? Or are you good for a few more minutes?” He would ask her, prompting her to smile and give a bow toward him. “Never bored sir, please continue.” She would say, prompting him to nod before turning back to Anzo.

“I never meant to convey a non-interest in your techniques Anzo. I simply wanted to finish showing you everything I could first. By all means, begin if you still wish to teach them to me.” He would say, his grin and tone almost boyish. Peragus quite enjoyed learning things he did not before. He tended to be a voracious reader, although he had only recently really started to apply that toward things that weren’t pure works of fiction. This was not reading though, it was pure practical study.

Many would say that was the best way. To which Peragus would heartily agree. “Masae is perfectly willing to wait until I'm ready for us to begin our little spar. So by all means." He would say, turning his attention to Anzo to give him his full attention.

Anzo feels very nearly elated that Peragus is interested in some of his own techniques, but he tempers his excitement with some amount of caution. It wouldn't do to show Peragus techniques that might be rather... less than stellar. That said, he'd start off with what was likely the weakest technique he hadn't yet actually fully developed, but what better way to ensure its successful development than to show it to someone as instructional as Peragus?

"Well, then I'm quite happy to show you what I've learned myself! We'll start with one that I actually... er... created as a prank, initially."

He hoped it wouldn't come off as childish to have invented a technique based on a simple prank, but there it was, the origin of this technique. Even so, he felt the technique held some merit, if only because not everyone was capable of a quick escape from this first jutsu.

The handseals are sent out rapidly, as he's certain that the Byakugan's capabilities for perception would ensure that even at the fastest movement of his fingers Peragus would be able to follow along easily enough. Even so, it was a comparatively long string of handseals before Anzo thrusts both his hands into the floor.

Then Anzo simply stands up, with nothing having apparently changed. The ground is as smooth as it once was, although with Peragus's Byakugan, he would have been able to see the chakra in the ground itself. Without providing an explanation first, Anzo draws a simple kunai and launches it at the ground directly in front of himself, and as soon as the blade strikes the earth, it falls away to reveal a sizeable pit, flat on all sides and coated with mud along the walls, causing the surfaces to be exceedingly slippery, even with the surface walking technique.

"A pitfall trap! Chakra is left lining the walls to make it far more difficult to climb back out. Of course, such a technique has little application if your target can fly, but it really is quite effective for catching those who can't..."

Not that Anzo felt such a need to explain his technique, but he felt it was quite a fun trap.

Description: This technique creates a large pitfall underground, covered with a very brittle layer of topsoil so as to appear unchanged. While the technique can be used to create such a pitfall anywhere within 75 meters of the user, the pitfall itself can only be 10mx10mx10m at its maximum size. The inner walls of the pitfall are also coated with chakra-treated mud, making getting out via the surface walking technique far more difficult. Attempting to leave by walking up the walls of the pitfall reduces a trapped individual's speed by -1 tier, but only for the purposes of walking up out of the trap.
Weaknesses: Trying to jump out of the pitfall should be fairly easy for most ninja with at least C-tier Strength (for leaping up) or Coordination. Flight also obviously renders the pitfall practically ineffective.

A prank? Well that was certainly an interesting amount of motivation to create a technique. But he supposed it certainly did qualify for one. Definitely actually, trying to figure out how to use chakra to do some fairly low level harassment socially, and perhaps catastrophic levels militarily was a fairly normal practice so far as Peragus knew.

After all, the amount of sensory shinobi that could sense the trap, and the amount of people that could actually see chakra, were comparatively few. As such a prank jutsu could be just as deadly to someone. Peragus watched the seals memorizing as quickly as they passed and then watched with his byakugan as the ground beneath and area was simply cleared out and the walls of the area turned to mud.

Anzo demonstrated the technique further by throwing a kunai and explaining the jutsu fully. Prompting Peragus to nod. Yeah, this could definitely be used in some very malicious ways. Case in point. Without even turning Peragus moved through the hand seal string and placed his hands on the ground at his best speed before channeling his chakra into the ground. Without warning, the ground beneath Masae would disappear, her slight frame still enough to cause the thin lay layer of topsoil to fall away. She fell about halfway down before instinctive kicking on her Light Weight Rock Technique and floated out. An unamused look on her features. Then she would land a few meters away from the pitfall and look at Peragus.

“Oh gosh, sorry Masae! I must not have been paying attention to where I put that trap. Can you ever forgive me?” Peragus would say, his tone dripping mirth. Masae for her part would simply sigh as if she were suffering before turning away from him and starting her kata’s once more.

“Is that a no?” Peragus would ask his tone still highly amused as she ignored him before turning his eyes back to Anzo. One look at them would immediately be all one would need to know that he was amused. Still, Anzo did not know the kind of relationship he and Masae had. “Playing small pranks like that on each other amuses us. She’ll get me back later, or try to take it out of my hide in a bit.” He would explain, chuckling lightly. “What else do you feel up for showing me?” He would ask his tone polite now.

Description: This technique creates a large pitfall underground, covered with a very brittle layer of topsoil so as to appear unchanged. While the technique can be used to create such a pitfall anywhere within 75 meters of the user, the pitfall itself can only be 10mx10mx10m at its maximum size. The inner walls of the pitfall are also coated with chakra-treated mud, making getting out via the surface walking technique far more difficult. Attempting to leave by walking up the walls of the pitfall reduces a trapped individual's speed by -1 tier, but only for the purposes of walking up out of the trap.
Weaknesses: Trying to jump out of the pitfall should be fairly easy for most ninja with at least C-tier Strength (for leaping up) or Coordination. Flight also obviously renders the pitfall practically ineffective.

Anzo has to hold back his own amusement as Peragus shows how well he can replicate the technique when he causes Masae to suddenly fall through a similar pit trap, with her eyes growing wide in a sudden expression of surprise, one well-suited for a prank, but she's quick to float out of the trap without too much difficulty. Pinching his tongue between his teeth is the only way to keep himself from laughing at the duo and ensuring his face remains firmly stoic. He might not laugh in front of Masae, but it would be quite easy to remember how she'd looked when she'd fallen and laugh about it quite heartily alone.

He also didn't want to get on Masae's bad side, although it seemed Peragus would be able to handle any form of revenge the woman might have planned for him. Anzo certainly hoped that was the case.

" Well, and that be the case, it would do to also show you a technique that could assist you in an escape; I'll have to perform it on you, and so I must warn you not to move your foot, or the technique might break your ankle."

Anzo once more begins the handseals, maintaining his more typical speed with the seals again since Peragus has proven he can easily keep up with the movements and also with tracking chakra for aid in learning the technique. Anzo then slams both palms to the earth, and with a surprising rapidity, Peragus's leg halfway up to his knee is wrapped and firmly locked in place within columns of stone. Anzo lets him feel it out for a few moments, then releases the technique, letting the rock break apart from his leg like dirt clods crushed in the hand.

"That said, if someone manages to move their foot out of the way quickly enough, they could fully avoid having their leg encased in that way, but few are speedy or agile enough to do so and it wouldn't be conducive to training without actually using it."

Anzo would go on to describe the next technique as something that would assist him in an escape. He was warned that he would need to demonstrate it on Peragus himself who nodded in acknowledgement. At that point Anzo would begin another set of hand seals before slamming both palms into the earth and suddenly felt his leg be gripped and trapped within a stone column. Peragus watched the technique with his Byakugan, taking in the amount of chakra used and the way it was channeled into the ground beneath them.

He felt out the technique, noting that as an earth release technique he could probably destroy it with a lightning based on. Such as Chidori Current or something else. He himself was not however strong enough to break out of the technique. After a few moments he would nod to Anzo as he formed a hand seal. Immediately afterward a shadow clone would appear as Anzo released the technique.

He was told the obvious aspect that if someone could get their foot out of the way in time than obviously that would hinder the dodging progress and Peragus would nod his head in agreement of the point.

Then he would flip through the seals himself to try the technique out on his clone. Who stood simply waiting for the technique to be used. The stone column would form around the leg, prompting the clone to try to escape before shaking its head in confirmation that it could not. Then Peragus would disperse the clone and the jutsu before turning back to Anzo. “An interesting technique to be sure. What’s next?” He would ask his tone polite and curious once more.

Anzo feels somewhat proud when Peragus states that his technique is interesting, and he's a bit sad that he only has one technique left to show, although it's the strongest so far to show Peragus.

"This last one also requires a human to show how it's done, and is actually rather restrictive. If I may?"

Anzo waits until he actually receives permission before tugging his own gloves off his hands, ensuring that they'll be able to make full skin contact as he stands directly in front of Peragus, as this technique was clearly a very close-range technique, somewhat odd for an Earth Release jutsu. The string of handseals that follow show the jutsu to be quite complex, and after several, Anzo's hands suddenly reach in and grasp Peragus's wrists, and he has to squeeze somewhat tightly to be able to fit the wrists completely in his grip; thankfully, Anzo's fingers are quite long, capable of holding firm to Peragus's wrists just long enough for the Hyuuga to feel Earth Release chakra swiftly encircle his wrists before a heavy rod of stone connects the two, forming a kind of stone manacles that keep the hands at the exact distance they're at when the rod connects, making handseals impossible with the hands locked in such a position.

"Obviously a technique with some usage as well, stopping handseals and making taijutsu techniques rather awkward when both hands have to move in tandem with one another. Nearly puts a stop to weaponry as well; it's hard to swing a sword when your other hand is forced to follow along."

Anzo allows Peragus to feel how sturdy the manacles are, and although the technique could be defeated by Raiton jutsu, that would usually be made significantly harder when the ability to use handseals is gone. Once he's let Peragus feel the technique out, he simply pulls the central rod lightly as he releases the technique, causing the stone to crumble.

"Although, be careful not to put anything between the manacles. It won't work if you can't make the central bar.

The earth column can also be repaired if it becomes damaged by the user paying the upkeep while in direct contact with the manacles.
Weaknesses: If the user attempts to grab onto an object or person but can't wrap their hands all the way around the target, the chakra is consumed but the technique fails. The technique can be broken by A-rank Strength or higher (in addition to other normal methods such as Raiton jutsu B-rank or higher) after the manacles are formed, or by breaking the grip with Strength matching the user's before the manacles can take form. If an object with hardness or Constitution higher than B comes between the manacles before the column can form, the technique fails and the chakra is consumed.

Anzo would inform him that the next technique also required a human example and request permission to place hands on him. Peragus would nod in acceptance, allowing Anzo to use him as the demonstration once more. The man would remove his gloves and move before him, beginning to work through some hand seals before he reached forward and took Peragus’ wrists in his hands. Peragus felt the earth release chakra form around his wrists and manacle his wrists together. A heavy earthen rod forming between the two and keeping his hands at a specific distance apart.

Anzo would go on to explain the qualities of such a technique while Peragus tested the restrains, trying to twist and pull and push the restraints. He knew that as an earth release technique a raiton based jutsu would destroy it. So long as say raiton based jutsu had no seals. Or for that matter if the person it was used on couldn’t do them with one hand. After a few moments Anzo would pull the central rod as he released the technique and causing the stone to crumble. Giving a final warning about not letting anything physical be between the manacles as the technique would not work if the central bar connecting the two could not form.

Nodding in acknowledgement, Peragus would form a single clone. Then turn toward it and flip through the same string of seals Anzo had done. Then he would grip his clones wrists and let the technique form. It would do so without issue, prompting the Hyuuga to nod before dispersing the clone and the earth technique in one go. “Also interesting, it certainly has it’s uses. Although I would also point it that it would not stop someone who can do hand seals with only one hand.” He would say, giving the bit of information as a notice of a potential threat should Anzo find the need to use the technique. It would not do to use the technique and release it did not debilitate the opponent nearly as much as one had hoped.

“You mentioned that was the last one then? I might practice a personal jutsu or two. Would that bother you?” He would ask politely, his eyebrows rising in curiosity.

Anzo simply nods when Peragus brings up one of the flaws of the technique being that someone who can perform handseals with only one hand could still perform techniques by utilizing one hand for seals, and Anzo smirks a bit under the collar of his jacket. From what he's observed, at least since he's able to do one-handed seals himself, it's often quite a bit slower than normal for the majority of people to do seals one-handed, although he's sure someone out there has trained enough to be able to use handseals with only one hand to be able to do it just as quickly.

"Well, and be that as it may, it's usually slower to perform handseals one-handed. I find that most prefer to use both hands for seals simply because it's far faster. The slower one-handed seals could be just enough of a warning for either of us to, say, break their fingers, should it come down to it. I should hope that it wouldn't, but it bears acknowledging that it's a potentially fatal flaw."

He simply shrugs when Peragus suggests that he would like to practice a few techniques of his own, as he feels an itch to train his own personal jutsu as well; with Peragus obviously not having ever used the three-color pills, it would be impossible for the Hyuuga to imitate the techniques, but it would at least be nice to do some more training with a fellow Leaf ninja.

"I have no qualms with that. So long as I get to practice mine as well."

With that, Anzo closes his eyes so he can focus on his own body, crossing his arms in front of himself as he focuses intently, then begins rapidly converting his own fat cells into chakra, flooding his body with a new, sudden surplus of chakra, which Peragus would be likely to notice. Thanks to several training sessions with the three-color pills and his own Ijutsu knowledge, it was a fairly simple thing to be able to replicate the effects. It would be hard to explain to somebody that had themselves never used the pills, though, and so he hadn't chosen to teach Peragus the techniques; there was also the dangerous aspect of the effects causing extreme malnourishment.

Anzo’s reaction to his request would simply be for him to be able to do so himself and Peragus would chuckle. “It would hardly be fair otherwise now would it?” He would ask idly before turning to face away from the man. It wasn’t in order to disrespect him. But the technique Peragus was going to practice needed a clear sight line in order to do so safely. Anzo being in front of him could be dangerous for the man while he was practicing this technique. Crossing his index and middle finger of one hand he raised it up palm first in front of him. Bringing the other hand to his mouth in a semi closed fist. Then he blew into it while channeling an unreal amount of raiton chakra. The action looking similar to that of a glass blower.

The chakra would coalesce into a 1m diameter orb of purple electrical power. A shell forming around it akin to the Rasengan. The purple hue and damage of it akin to Purple Electricity. He had taken concepts of both in order to make this technique and now he was working to bring it into reality by taking theory into practice. He fired the orb, using his Byakugan to ensure there was no one within his techniques danger radius. The orb traveled at S speed and grew as it traveled, expanding to a 50m diameter by the time it had covered a fifth of the distance it would go. Overall the orb traveled 500m, gouging out a massive trench in the ground as it traveled before finally dissipating harmlessly into the air. The energy fueling it finally being spent.

With that Peragus would study the damage, using his eyes to get a full look at it all before nodding to himself. This technique was powerful, and due to the chakra condensed shell theory behind rasengan, allowing it to maintain the chakra within, it could travel for quite a large distance before the raiton chakra dissipated. It gave him a surprisingly long range punch. He needed more though. He would need to continue to work on concepts like this in order to ensure that he could hit hard at long range as well as in close proximity. The way the Hyuuga clan could always do so. “Hollow Purple seems to be a success, excellent.” He would say before considering what to learn next.

Description: Hollow Purple is a powerful combination/derivative of the two of the stronger exclusive techniques found within Konohagakure. Rasengan, and Purple Electricity. The overall shape is a large purple sphere filled with Raiton that is contained in its own shell of chakra. The sphere is fired as a 1m diameter projectile but builds up energy as it moves, increasing its size to a 50m diameter by the time it has reached 100m away from the firing point. Aspects of Rasengan are used in order to maintain its outer shell of chakra despite its increasing size. As well as maintain its power for a far increased distance. Allowing for a technique that hits a larger range than many. Aspects of Purple Electricity give it powerful Raiton damage and allow it to create storms if the technique is fired up into the sky.
Weaknesses: -

Anzo keeps his eyes closed as he begins pushing further through with the conversion of changing his body's fat content directly into chakra, but then he feels a strange pull on his body from in front of him. With no Byakugan for him to see through his eyeballs, he has to open his eyes to see Peragus with his back turned and something forming in front of him. Even without any kind of chakra sensory ability, the Aburame can somewhat feel the density of the jutsu, and pulls himself back a little, momentarily distracted as he is from training the next step in the Calorie Control technique. He even has to brace himself with the ball is launched from in front of Peragus and directly into the landscape of the training facility's sixth floor, watching the devastation that occurs with wide eyes. It's at this point that Anzo decides it might be helpful to learn to use the Raiton chakra nature.

The Aburame is broken from his reverie of the technique as Peragus seems to be busy assessing the damage, and he quickly shuts his mouth and closes his eyes once more to focus on furthering his own training. It would be quite rude to interrupt Peragus in his training, after all, but he also moves back a little further so he's at least ten meters away, just in case the Hyuuga had some closer range techniques to train, and also to ensure that his own techniques weren't a distraction or interfering with the other man's training. He rapidly converts even more of his fat into chakra, returning quickly to the training he'd been so heavily focused on before the flash of inspiration that was that strange technique. What had Peragus called it? "Hollow Purple"? He'd have to ask Peragus about it another time, maybe, but for now, he could feel a far greater amount of chakra pouring throughout his body, making him stronger and faster all at once from the loss of body weight, low as his body's fat content was.

With Hollow Purple learned and under his belt he had some work to do. Between his and Anzo’s practice the ground around them had been pretty thoroughly chewed up. So Peragus went around using his earth release to repair that damage. Returning their little area of the sixth floor of the training facility to its normal appearance. Masae would note his actions and sheathe Kusanagi, turning to move toward him and all in all getting ready to leave.

As he moved around, fixing the earth around them he would speak to Anzo. “I think I’m gonna go call it a day and head on home. Probably grab some take out on the way. Good job today Anzo, good luck in your future training endeavors.” He would say as he began to work his way down the steadily widening trench he had carved out of the ground with his new technique and repaired that damage. He worked his way back to the elevator with Masae close behind, keeping a watchful eye. All in all it had been a productive day. The Hyuuga eventually finished up his task of fixing the ground and then headed out, intent on picking up some ramen before heading home.

Anzo keeps his eyes closed, but he can somewhat feel Peragus moving around, not through any kind of chakra sensory, but he can feel the earth shifting just slightly as he moves about, letting the genin know that his training partner is likely cleaning up the training facility in preparation to leave. Anzo is very nearly finished with his own training now, and he feels his fat cells being converted into an even greater amount of chakra as he opens his eyes to look at Peragus, watching him slowly work. With so much of his focus intently pushed into learning to control the conversion of his fat directly into chakra while still balancing the technique so as to not leave him dead from the malnourishment of having all of his fat eaten away, while he wishes he could help, Anzo knows he can't without likely wasting this opportunity to train one last technique. He feels a bit guilty watching Peragus work, but the Hyuuga, to his credit, doesn't seem too bothered by it. Anzo does manage to keep his focus while speaking at least, so when Peragus bids him farewell, at least the Aburame isn't sitting there clenching his jaw like some kind of impolite jerk.

"Thank you, Peragus. Hopefully, you'll have twice as much luck in training... And do enjoy your food."

It seems his own farewell is well-received, because Peragus and Masae both end up leaving. As the door closes to the training facility, Anzo can feel his body fully flooded with chakra, expelling so much of it that it escapes from his spine, showing the same butterfly-like wings in a dark green coloration that his chakra naturally had when he took the final three-color pill. He looks over his shoulder to confirm, and he feels elation, though perhaps a bit sad that Peragus wasn't likely to see his progress with such a technique. Even so, he has to quickly perform the three appropriate handseals to start on the fat cell recovery technique he'd developed already in order to begin his body's regenerative process, letting his liver produce more and more fat to recover what he'd lost. The process is slow, so he keeps it going as he leaves the training facility himself, feeling quite accomplished for the hours he'd spent training with the Hyuuga.
