Tengoku sat in one of the rooms in the grand training facility. Within this room it was warm but humid. Mimicking a summer spell. Even the doors to the dojo looked like a pair of solid sliding gate doors. Once one entered there would be a Zen garden of sand with a lone stone in the middle and cherry blossoms in full bloom on either side. To the left was the taijutsu dojo. A Japanese style square building with practice dummies and sparring rings within. Here people came to study, practice and compete in hand to hand combat. Expanding their own understanding of their body and what it could accomplish. To the right was more of an archery range. It taught the way to make a bow...maintain it and respect it. Practicing perception and coordination for long ranged attacks. Here Archery was paramount in the search of the perfect shot. Finally in the center was for weapons experts. Combining classes in Bukijutsu and Kenjutsu. In either case the weapon was respected and trained as part of the body. Trained to cut cleanly and with honor. At least that was the way of this dojo. Some simply saw them as killing tools but Tengoku saw more.
As such Tengoku was settled in the center building. Today he was wearing an all white Kenjutsu gi. The robes unstained and pure to match his hair and ears. His feet were bare within the dojo as it was considered rude to wear shoes inside. His robes went down to his knees like shorts and were tied off there. However unlike other gi his own were sleeveless. To anyone who knew Tengoku well enough they knew he practiced all three of the physical arts. Taijutsu with arhat and strong fist. Kenjutsu as a style itself. And Kyujutsu for ranged combat. He slacked in training at times but he was considered the peak of all three locally. Some whispered he was a match for Nozomi but not loud enough for her to hear. For now he had chosen this location for a requested promotion test of one of his students....Airi had been progressing quickly and he had expected her but instead he heard from Hanabi first. She had been quiet in previous meetings and reserved. For now he had instructed her to bring any swords she wished and to meet him here at the three dojos.
Tengoku himself was kneeling before a black table. This table was special for it had two raised hooks to hold onto a katana. Upon those hooks sat a black and red Tetsudashi steel katana. A formidable S rank weapon. Reforged to be both highly durable and incredibly sharp. Flawless in its make from chakra and a seal placed on it to make it permanent. One his ankles, wrists and upper arms were golden rings with feathers etched into them. His armor that he could unfold at will. His white hair tied back in a pony tail as he reverently set about cleansing his blade. Next to him on one side was a bowl of powder and a small ball of cotton on a stick. He would take the powdered cotton on a stick and gently tap it along his blade. Once the blade would become fully coated he would dip it into a long bowl of water to clean it off. Once that was done he would flick off the water before drying it with a small towel. Finishing by using an oil soaked towel to run along the metal. Oiling it once more before drying it one last time with a separate towel. Awaiting his student.
