Raphael would notice that his words seemed to have struck a cord with the other male, despite the fact that the other man seemed to try to brush it off. Hearing of the discord of Kumogakure would bring a look of genuine shock to Raphael's face, though it would quickly be replaced by a sincere smile.
"Well, at least you were able to save some. It was a smart choice to bring them to Kirigakure, we have the strongest military power of the great villages." Raphael stated both congratulating the man on a good job of saving people, while at the same time boasting about how great his own village was, a typical remark from the Uzumaki. Though the toppling of a village government was nothing to make light of, Raphael was unsure what he would do should something like that happen to Kiri. However, now was no time to think about such things, as he had an interesting opponent to face.
Seeing the other man take up the spring chant stance he would let out a small chuckle, it had been a while since he had seen someone using it.
"I see they teach spring chant as far as Kumogakure, do they also teach body of the bear?" Raphael would ask as he would take on the Body of the Bear stance, which would be the exact opposite of what the man was doing with spring chant. Rather than bouncing and moving, it would be a firm solid stance with his legs spread to shoulder width apart and his fists at his side.
"Or better yet," Raphael would state as he shifted his feet a little bit, changing his stance only slightly,
"how about Chikushou no Ken." While he could have used the body of the bear style, it was more for defending than it was for attacking, whereas Chikushou no Ken was more for an aggressive assault. While the latter was not normally his style, he decided to test this horned man for himself, he would also flow some extra chakra to increase his overall coordination as he activated his Mastery of Body: Control technique as well.
"Now, don't blink." Raphael would say with a smile before making a quick step forward and closing the distance so that he was right in front of the other man as he delivers a roundhouse kick towards the midsection of the man. So long as the other man didn't launch a counter, whether his attack hit or miss, Raphael would quickly leap back to put a little distance back between them as he waited to see what the other man could do after that attack or if it was successful possibly determine the other man's
