Nue and the clone of Diana looked at each other, the clone feeling the mental strain of Diana Prime and Nue's mind controlling their quadruped body as one. Today they were testing out something that, if it were to work, could give them an edge that could rival just about any other Kage. Recently she had managed to decypher the old scroll that let her learn mayfly, and while she was able to quickly pick up how to use it, it had a flaw.
When partially above ground, they could still be sensed. Sure they could use Hiding in Camo, but she was sure she could apply the knowledge of how to hide her signature from one technique to another and conserve just that little bit more of chakra to make her life easier. Plus, the thought of being able to hide the chakra signature of Nue was extremely funny.
Both activating the technique, Nue and the clone began to sink into the ground. Yes they could do it fast, but this was an important test, and they needed to check as many variables as they could. So far both could sense each other, and as they continued to lower, eventually they would reach the bottom, their heads lowering beneath the ground and becoming completely untraceable to each other outside of the knowledge that they could communicate with one another. Truly this technique would be a massive boon to their village. Still, it didn't solve the issue of being able to sense one another.
Returning back to the surface, Diana and Nue looked to one another, both a bit stumped for a minute before the clone snapped her finger. Hiding in Camo came to them like second nature, but the basic principle of slowly adapting one's Chakra Suppression to apply to their chakra signature in a strange sort of 'attuning with nature' sort of way. A little more confident, Diana would mentally explain the plan to herself and Nue before both closed their eyes, entering a sort of trance.
Tuning one's chakra to the background chakra of the world was hard, even for Diana; and especially since she learned about Nature Energy and Senjutsu. Knowing one could attune their chakra in such a way that the user could become almost undetectable to all but the best was...well it was amazing. Even if she wasn't a spy or a rogue, stealth was her friend, and the less people knew she was there unless she wanted to be known, the better it was for everybody.
Her meditation broke for a second. That sort of thinking was something Chen or Nyg Uchiha would say...right? Maybe, but it was still true. She needed to get this right as it would allow her to gather more and more information to protect and arm the Kishin Alliance from any suitably large threat to their world. It was the right thing to do; and it was something she had to equip herself to deal with.
Surely they would understand, no she knew they would understand. After all, Ninshū taught peace and connectivity, and that was what she wanted; a connected world of peace.
She hadn't even noticed that after her mind was set upon this path that both the Clone's chakra signature and Nue's Chakra signature had disappeared till a few minutes later, both ending the technique and Nue transforming back into Diana.
There was work to be done. A lot of work that only she, the Saigo-dai Tsuchikage, could complete.
