Friends Don’t Lie [Flashback. Hanabi | Neo Uchiha]

Hanabi looked up to the starry night, seeing the bright moon shine over the clan district. Her head flooded with memories of when things were… better she would think. Her eyes drifted to the side as she covered herself in her blankets, closing her eyes and drifting to sleep..

What was once a black sight turned into a very bright light, transporting herself from the comfort of her own bed to what was in the shopping district of Konoha. She looked down at her hands, her hearing coming into play, the voices around her over stimulating her. She covered her ears before feeling a hand on her shoulder, making her look over to see her first friend. Neo Uchiha. Her split hair color and different eyes matching. “N-Neo..” She stared at her for a moment before bringing her into a hug, feeling her body as she had remembered. It had been so long since she had seen her in anything. Dream or reality. This was merely a Flashback and even if it was, she was still happy. She hasn’t dreamt of Neo in such a long time. Maybe losing hope she’d see her again. Hanabi gave a teary eyed smile to Neo and grabbed her wrist before walking to a clothing shop. “Let’s go check this out!”

Neo Uchiha smiles happily and lets out a little laugh at her best friend as they hug; in this precious memory, she can still speak. She only became mute from the trauma of the Second Iwagakure War, so her voice in this memory was bright and clear, a voice that Hanabi hadn't heard for a long time at this point.

"Hahaha! Don't cry, you silly thing! You'll ruin your makeup!"

As she says this, she carefully wipes away some of that wetness; although Neo was shorter, she was still the type of girl that acted older simply because she was a higher rank. It was lucky that Hanabi wasn't under Neo's direct command, or this shopping spree they were on would have likely earned Neo a harsh reprimand for fraternization. As it was, they were allowed to enjoy their time together.

Neo laughs some more as she gets tugged into the shop by her wrist, following after her with her laughter ringing in Hanabi's ears. She quickly finds herself a lovely white half-jacket, pulling it on and buttoning it twice over her bust, with the compression suit underneath ensuring that nothing too salacious would be visible otherwise. Then she grabs a lovely pink and lace parasol and uses it like a cane as she poses with it, her hands on the crook as she leans down, pressing her bosom forwards a little while Hanabi is at her side. Neo is looking at herself in the mirror instead, frowning a bit, but really enjoying the way the pink interior is revealed in the lapel and when the sleeves are folded up at her wrists.

"Hmmmmm... Hanabi, what do you think? It doesn't make me look flat, does it?"

Hanabi giggled as she wiped her tears away, completely taken away by the dream. At this time, Hanabi had worn a little bit of make up. Nothing much though, just some black eyeliner to help define her eyes but that was all. She grabbed a hand of hers and placed it on her cheek to somewhat nuzzle her face into it.


Hanabi looked to Neo, smiling to her, watching her put on a jacket and try it out. “It looks nice. Definitely compliments you style and your hair too.” He gave a wide smile before spinning Neo around and checking her out really quick. “Fits just right and I think it enhances your chest just enough, Neo.” She put her hands on her hips before looking around the store to see some clothes that she liked. However, due to her bust, most of the clothes that caught her attention didn’t fit her. She put out a defeated smile and looked to Neo once again. “Hmm..” She looked around for a moment, finding some jewelry and looking at a necklace. Hanabi picked it up and walked back over to Neo and handed her the necklace, smiling. “See if this looks nice.”



If Neo were to agree, she would get behind her and put it around her neck, hooking the back and twirling her around to look at her. “Hmm..” She placed her hand under her chin, thumb knuckle and index knuckle almost holding it. “I love it. It brings a little more color to you.” Hanabi smiled to her once again. She was used to Neo getting pretty much everything while Hanabi couldn’t get much due to multiple reasons. Hanabi put a strand of hair that fell loose behind her ear.

Neo smiles when Hanabi compliments her, and she laughs again as she's spun around a bit to give Hanabi a look at her in the jacket and the brown compression unitard that sinks down into a V that's cut off by her low-slung brown slacks. It draws some eyes as the two act very nearly like a couple, but Neo chooses to ignore them. Her cheeks do turn a bit pink, somewhat matching the lapel before she tries to help Hanabi find something to fit her and accentuate her body at least as much as the jacket does for her. She's a bit disappointed herself when Hanabi also seems to struggle, but then she gasps when she comes back with a gorgeous necklace with a teardrop jewel.

"Oh, it's gorgeous! Well, we ought to try it out!"

Neo turns and helps by lifting her hair for Hanabi to put the necklace on her, then flips it in front so Hanabi can fasten it on, as well. Once it's on, she smiles at her reflection, but she's also heartbroken that Hanabi hasn't found her own lovely thing to wear. So she turns back around from the mirror to give Hanabi a glowing smile.

"Oh, it's lovely, but I really think it makes my colors too busy... But you know, there's someone prettier that I think would like it more, so I'll buy it anyways!~"

Neo was almost giddy with her excitement, knowing that she's going to surprise her best friend so much, but she's already noticing something else that might work, and she holds up a lovely breastless corset of crimson with black piping along its edges and in vertical stilts every six inches or so from the top of the corset to the bottom.

"Now here's something gorgeous for a certain girl I know.~"

“Really now?” Hanabi asks, now curious. She takes the necklace off just in time for Neo to slip away and grab a corset. Hanabi’s face turned red and she looked away, chuckling nervously. “See… I don’t think I’d be able to pull that off.” She scratched the back of her head with a sheepish smile. “I think I’d suit something more like this…”

Outfit 06, 01 being next to it:

She pulls an outfit out and shows Neo before glancing at the price and fumbling it back onto the rack. “Y-yeah Nevermind.” Hanabi looked at the corset again, trying to imaging herself in it. It just didn’t mesh well. Maybe she didn’t like how she looked and therefore saw everything bad on her own self. Hanabi pondered a moment and waved the dreadful feeling away. “You look great in everything. I’m sure we can shop more for you.”

Neo shrugs a bit when Hanabi explains that she doesn't think she'd be able to pull off something sexy like that, but she doesn't put it back just yet... She coos when she sees the outfit Hanabi picks out, and as soon as Hanabi puts the outfit away and takes hold of the corset, Neo does a little bit of a switcheroo; she lets Hanabi take hold of the corset while Neo herself picks out the same outfit, then hands it to Hanabi again, smiling.

"You go try the outfit on and make sure it fits! And we can buy this corset, too... Oh, calm down, it doesn't mean you have to wear it in public.~"

Neo smiles disarmingly at Hanabi, her body language, half-lidded eyes, and slight smirk doing most of the talking for her, silently but firmly insisting that Hanabi at least try on the outfit she picked out from the rack. Meanwhile, Neo sits down in a chair outside the changing room, bringing one leg over the other to rest her feet. After all, she'd been standing or walking in her high-heeled nin shoes all day, and her legs and feet were aching a little. You couldn't tell from her giddy expression, though, still holding the gorgeous corset in one hand while she waits for Hanabi.

What Hanabi thought was the outfit was actually the corset, making Hanabi do a double take and back to Neo. Seeing Neo revealed the outfit that costed too much. “N-Neo..” She went to go say something but Neo had beat her to it, insisting on trying the outfit on while also buying the corset. Her face turned a light pink before getting told to calm down. “O-Ok..” Hanabi grabbed the outfit and gave the corset back and walked into a fitting room, closing the door and locking it. Mirrors on each wall, including the door, Hanabi began breathing heavily. She hated trying on clothes just because of how everything fit on her. That made her look too big or it was just too small in general. Taking off her shirt and the rest of her clothes, only seeing herself in her undergarments.



That’s right…. The scars from her past haunted her, never wanting to really look at them.. it had been only a few years since she started being on her own without the clans help.. Memories still so fresh yet the scars so old. Lost in deep thought, she brought herself back and started to put on the outfit. Every now and then, small groans would be heard from trying to figure out how to put it on. After a while, she finally managed and unlocked the door and stepped out, showing Neo. The outfit compliments her figure, almost a little too much around her bust area. Her curves now accented, it seemed like she enjoyed how it looked with the blush across her face. But was it because she liked how it looked or if Neo liked it on her? Hanabi began twisting a strand of hair that fell from the side of her head. “H-How does it look..”

Neo smiles as she lets Hanabi take her time, although the sounds of groaning coming from the dressing room makes her blush a little bit again, and she starts to get up to make sure Hanabi is okay when the door starts to open, and she drops back into her chair with her legs crossed again, left-over-right, to see her best friend come back out. Neo lets out a long, slow whistle as she sees how the outfit accentuates her body, and she uncrosses her legs to get up and take Hanabi's hand, twirling her like a dancer before catching her up.

"Hmmmm, come here often, darling?~"

Neo laughs a bit and lets Hanabi back down on her own feet before she snatches up the price tag, along with the necklace and corset as she heads up to the counter, giving Hanabi a knowing wink as she pulls the price tag off her jacket as well. Then she deftly pulls out her purse, using up the allowance her parents had been giving her while she was still earning money from her missions for the Hokage. She didn't even blink at the prices of those goods, and she turns towards Hanabi and gives her a wink before throwing away the receipt on her way back to her friend, practically skipping the whole way back.

"Look, they even gift-wrapped the necklace in a box for me!~ Now I'll be able to give it to my best friend like I said."

She smiles and looks around the store, considering other things they could buy, and she starts to wander off towards the lingerie section, eager to make Hanabi blush in even more embarrassment...

Hanabi immediately began blushing over the twirl that she did with Hanabi. “P-please. I barely go out as is…” She giggled before being stopped and picked up by Neo. Hanabi started looking into Neo’s eyes, her eyes shifting back and forth a little bit. Her eyes… Almost like chocolate and strawberry… She gave a soft smile before being put down and feeling a slight tug, seeing the tag being taken off. Hanabi went to reach for it but Neo was too fast for her and ended up at the counter before she even knew it. She sighed and looked down, brushing anything that might’ve stuck to the outfit off. Her head went up as Neo came back, showing the box and explaining that they gift wrapped it. “B-best friend, hmm?” She asked quite curious. Not knowing if Neo had another best friend, she played a little dumb to the idea of the necklace being to her best friend. Suddenly she was swifted towards the lingerie section with Neo, her face turning bright red. “N-Neo! We don’t have to buy anything in this section… I mean for you sure. B-but I can’t fit anything here…” Hanabi gulped, looking around the options. It wasn’t so much embarrassing being In The section Itself but the thought of having nothing in her size was kinda depressing. However if Neo were to dry things on, she would be okay with that. Coming to a halt, Hanabi looked around for a moment and ended up picking out a cute split pink and white sports bra that had a heart around the cleavage area. “What about this for you, Neo?” She asked, handing it to her, her face still red.

Neo's heart is still honestly fluttering a bit from when she'd lifted Hanabi up and they had gazed into each others' eyes. Despite the height difference and the fact that Hanabi was... well, honestly, fairly busty, Neo had been able to lift her without too much of a struggle, and Neo was a little bit surprised, but the eye contact really got to her a little bit. Thankfully, Neo was an expert at hiding her emotions and her thoughts, a skill she'd had to learn just by living with her parents. She knew Hanabi couldn't really go out, and that really boiled the anger in her, but she was good at hiding that, too. Besides, she was out with her best friend, so now wasn't the time for anger, especially with the new orders she'd just received...

Neo giggles when Hanabi picks out a lovely sports bra, one that she could likely fill out without breaking it, unlike Hanabi. She thought to herself that it really was a little bit sad that Hanabi's bust limited her from all kinds of clothes, although the outfit before had worked out really well.

"Oh, you would like to see me in this, wouldn't you?~"

Neo's eyebrow raises quite high, making it clear that she's only teasing her best friend before she snatches up the sports bra, and in response she picks out a lovely red lace bra, made not to actually cover the breasts, but only to cup them from below and give them a lift, accentuating the size.

"I don't think I could ever convince you to try this on, but hey, maybe you'll meet a boy you like to try it on for?~"

Neo's eyebrows wiggle in a suggestive motion as she hands Hanabi the bra, then moves on over to the dressing room to try her own bra on. It takes her a bit of work, since she has to remove her half-jacket to pull on the sports bra, but she keeps the sleeveless brown compression unitard on so she doesn't get in trouble for trying on underwear directly on her skin before she steps out, arching her back a little to really show off the smaller but still eye-catching curves of her chest.

"Well? Does it look good?~"

Hanabi gave a nervous chuckle again, the corner of her mouth rising from being anxious. “Eheh~..” she glanced to Neo, looking at what she picked out for hanabi as well. “F-for a boy?! I don’t even see myself with anyone because of who I am!” She explained to Neo with on arm out and her other arm folded towards her chest, her hand placed in the middle. She didn’t see herself being with anyone for a long time, let alone having anyone else to talk to. Hanabi was then handed the bra while the other taken out. It was Hanabi’s turn to sit in the chair and see how Neo would look in the article of clothing that Hanabi had picked out. Placing her elbow on the arm rest of the chair and her hair on her fist, she waited patiently for her to come out.



Hearing Neo come out of the dressing room, asking how she looked, Hanabi’s head turned to Neo’s direction, her face still bright red. Her mind wandered from their previous mischief moments and her eyes rolled in a circle, trying to push the thought out of her head. “It looks nice!” Hanabi said while blushing. She glanced at the bra that seemed to be more on the sexier side and furrowed a brow. Would… this even fit her? At this age, Hanabi hadn’t been done growing. She was already a D cup and much larger than other girls. Her amber eyes looked up to Neo and gave a half confident shrug, almost asking if she really had to try it on.

Neo laughs and shakes her head when Hanabi holds up the lingerie, and just to tease her more, she goes back into the dressing room to change back, leaving Hanabi holding the particularly lewd underwear for everyone to see before Neo comes back out in her usual attire, with her newly purchase half-jacket as well. Once she finally returns, she goes up to purchase the sports bra as well, although she puts the lovely lingerie back where she found it and shrugs once she's done with it.

"Oh well, it was just a suggestion.~ But... goodness, I hope you don't do too much more growing, you're already taller than me. Next thing you know, I'll have to stop hugging you because you'll suffocate me.~"

Neo giggles once more before she puts all of their purchases into a bag, although she leaves Hanabi's outfit on her, obviously. She does find one last thing; a lovely red scarf that is fashioned to look like a ribbon you might wrap a present with, but with all the warmth of a real scarf. She buys that as well, and then deftly uses it to wrap it around the back of Hanabi's neck, leaving it on her and also using it to playfully tug her towards the door of the shop.

"Hmmmmm... I think that's enough clothes for one day. I'm not made of money, you know.~"

Hanabi chuckled at Neo’s worrisome for Hanabi getting taller. She did take after her dad and her mom pretty evenly. Her dad was around 6’0 and her mom roughly 5’6. At this age she was already 5’3 but she didn’t think she would have gotten much taller later on. Oh how she was wrong. Hanabi took the time to snap out of this dream like memory and look at this flash back from her own point of view. Everything had changed within just a few years. Neo was here, Hanabi was happier. Thought it felt like something was amiss. Like she had forgotten something vital in this memory. She pondered for a moment before being pulled back into this auto pilot state of a memory, her body making a shiver and looking to Neo. Seeing Neo buy the red scarf and then wrap it around Hanabi, tugging her along, she giggled and following behind as if she had a choice in the matter. “You know, you say no more shopping and then you continue to buy.”



Hanabi laughed while catching up to Neo so she wasn’t borderline choking from being tugged by the scarf. What seemed like a few minutes maybe an hour turned out to be a lot longer. When they went in, the sun was going down and coming out, the sun was barely to be seen. Though some light painted the skies of Konoha with red, orange, yellow and some pink. These colors darkened and turned into a magnificent dark blue sky with stars across the way. Hanabi looked up to the sky and smile, taking in the fresh air of this memory. Though the hair on the back of her neck stood up, catching her off guard. What was she forgetting?

Neo laughs as she comes out into the street with her best friend, Hanabi Inuzuka, a girl that was really an Uchiha, but would not be allowed to take the name, even when she had their doujutsu. She dances with Hanabi in the street, unwrapping the ribbon-like scarf from around her neck and simply cradling the back of her neck with it while they dance instead as the sky changes from this light and romantic watercolor splash of color into a dark night sky, punctuated only with moments of brightness, with one big bright moon to shatter the total darkness of what would otherwise be something so gloomy from the darkness. Neo had led Hanabi back to the home she shared with her mother, at least at that point in their lives. It was there that Neo had given her the necklace, its blue jewel so very beautiful in the reflections of the stars.

Neo then leans up on her tiptoes and pulls Hanabi's new ribbon-like scarf a bit to plant a kiss on her best friend's cheek, before looking deep in her eyes while she holds up the necklace's gift-wrapped box.

"It's yours now, but you can't have it, yet... It's a mark of our friendship, a show of our enduring love for one another... And if I don't come back from this war, know that I took it with me into the afterlife, where your friendship will sustain me and keep me from the darkness."

At these words, Neo had started to cry - she knew that often times, Uchiha that witness such tragedy that they see in war could unlock and open their Mangekyou Sharingan... but that it also sometimes had the possibility of turning Uchiha against their own cousins or friends or even lovers in order to gain more power for themselves. And that was the last thing she wanted to happen to her own best friend, to be killed by a power-hungry Neo Uchiha who came back from the war somehow... different.

"If I return and give this to you, it's a sign that I'm still your friend... But you'll only remember that when you see the necklace yourself."

Even through her crying eyes, Neo activates her three-tomoe Sharingan, keeping her eyes locked with Hanabi's and instantly placing her under the Sharingan's unique genjutsu, using it to wipe the memory of what she'd just said from her best friend's mind, everything after she'd taken Hanabi back to her home and giving her friend no time to activate her own Sharingan in response. With the memory wiped, she shuts off her Sharingan, keeping the trigger to return those memories implanted with the genjutsu as she hides away the gift box with the necklace inside back in her hip pouch so Hanabi doesn't see the box after she comes out of the memory rewriting, either.


Neo likewise returns from her own memory of that night and wipes away the tears she gets even now at the memory, the one thing that had sustained her and kept her from completely losing herself in the Second Iwagakure War. She looks about herself, having snuck into Hanabi's own apartment while Hanabi had been reminiscing herself. Neo manages to silently open Hanabi's bedroom door, keeping away from all of the reflective surfaces in Hanabi's bedroom so she can slip the gift-wrapped box onto Hanabi's old, poor dresser, so if she turns around, she'll see the box with its ribbon. And now for her final act - she closes the bedroom door quietly, but not silently, allowing the latch to clack into place instead of turning the doorknob and then closing the door. Neo is able to rush out of the apartment again quickly, having memorized the entire layout of Hanabi's apartment so she could escape in total darkness.

As the two danced their night away, laughing and having no worries of what may be to come, Hanabi forgets all of her past doings and tribulations, allowing her mind to be free from everything. The darkness engulfing them but somehow their smiles and joy brightening the area around them. Twirling within the streets of Konoha, Neo pulled Hanabi in slowly by the scarf and gave her a kiss on the cheek, causing Hanabi to blush intensely. Neo told her the gift was for her but she wasn’t allowed to have it until she came back from the war. A symbol of their love for each other, greater than friends but not familial. Hanabi began tearing up at the sight of Neo beginning to cry. She wiped her tears, a small cough coming from her as she held back her tears. “Don’t cry… you’ll ruin your make up.” She giggled as she mocked what Neo said to her earlier.


Hanabi’s tears suddenly stopped when she said she would remember after some time and hanabi began stuttering over her words. “N-Neo what are you doing..” Then the sharingan appeared and Hanabi’s eyes widened. “Neo, you said you wouldn’t…” as Neo continued to put her under the genjutsu, Hanabi felt useless, unable to try and stop it. “Neo! You said you wouldn’t!” Her eyes watering once more before calling out to her. Then everything went blank. She felt every memory being picked away and locked deep inside her, hiding from Hanabi’s recollection. Her tears stopped and eventually dried and she found herself at home, saying goodbye to Neo and smiling as if nothing had happened. She closed the door behind her, distant arguing being heard behind closed doors, the memory soon fading into white.

Hanabi’s eyes fluttered open, sitting herself up as she heard a click from the door being closed, turning her night lamp on and looking around. Nobody was there. Maybe she was imagining things? Hanabi looked at her dressed to see it slightly open as well, causing her to raise an eyebrow and to open it. A neatly wrapped box in which she grabbed and placed it on her lap, carefully unwrapping it. Taking the lid off, she sees the beautiful azule jewel that Neo and her had bought, her memories flooding back to her once again. Once they regained, she let out a heavy exhale, panting from the information being unlocked. “Neo…” Hanabi grabs the necklace, still in her Pajama’s (a tank top and shorts), running out of her room, the box falling onto the floor as she left her bed. Sliding down her stair case and running into the street, she see’s a distant pink haired person and she leans forward, placing her hands around her mouth screaming.
