He woke up nervous. He had gotten ready for the day nervously, and as he sat at the breakfast table with his mother and father, he had a way about him that was nervous and he didn't speak much. It wasn't for just any reason, as today was the first day back to his full status in ninja duty. He had spent several years in the hospital from an illness, and having fully recovered while passing the physical fitness tests required, he was able to restore his status as a genin and begin working. Thing is, it had been four years...Did he still have it in him.
"Wish me luck..."
Hitotsu gave his mother words upon his departure and he headed off. He had reviewed the mission that he was assigned during breakfast, and knew that he would have to head towards the outskirts of the village and towards their local mines. It was a typical D-rank mission given to a ninja who just graduated, and while he had been one for several years, his experience amounted up to a fresh genin. It was a bit embarrassing but what could he do? He made his way toward the destination.
"Uhh..reporting from The Hidden Stone. We are suppose to help out?"
There were several tunnels running through the mountain, and it took some time for Hitotsu to find the one he was going to be working at. By now the workers were gathering at the mouth of their tunnel, going over the day's work with the supervisor while drinking their teas and coffees. The supervisor waved him over and he joined the group.
There were a few minors, but no one he could truly relate to as they were middle-aged and definitely not ninja. He had read in the mission summary that another genin would be taking part as well, and so his eyes moved about curiously for the ninja as the supervisor spoke.
