Operation Heavenly Storm

Temperature Regulator:

A streak of crimson lighting bolted across the sky. The streak carried a payload of one Shimiko Chinoike. The kunoichi was ready to do battle against the Indaina Kujira and she wouldn't have to wait long. One second she had closed her eyes in the heart of Kumogakure and the next she had opened them in the Heavenly Emporium. She had arrived with a crash as the bolt of lighting slammed through the roof and into room itself. Shimiko's form materialized and she found herself kneeling with smoke coming off of her. That stung. She looked around and took a moment to familiarize herself with her surroundings. This was the meeting room where she had parlayed with Kiyoko Fisei. A flood of memories returned to her and with it a sense of purpose. She was hear to protect people like Kiyoko and her daughter.

Shimiko would have marveled at her own magnificence for having created a technique such as the Divine Heavenly Transfer, but she didn't have the time. Firstly because there was a giant monster hovering over the city and turning its gravity matrix into some kind of high powered battery. Secondly because not long after she had appeared, a Xenobeasts burst through the wall and dove straight for her. Shimiko's body moved like it was an autopilot. She removed a Sai from her pouch and opened up its throat in one swift movement. The creature skidded past her and was rammed into a wall. A long stream of acidic blood gushed from its throat as it tried to stand. A blast of Black Lightning (colored red) put it down for good.

"No time to reminisce." Shimiko told herself as she acrobatically leapt up the ceiling and through the hole in the roof. She exited the building from the top and got a good view of the looming beast. It was large. Not as big as the Ten Tails but still pretty darn big. Its wingspan nearly covered the city and she could see dozens of shinobi trying to hit its weak points. She activated her Ketsuryūgan and her Armour of Faith before dashing in the direction of the Indaina Kujira. She scanned the monstrosity for weak points as she leapt from rooftop to rooftop occasionally taking advantage of the lighter debris for 3-D movement. The Xenobeasts and puppets saw her fast approach and tried to stop her.

It was a mistake.

The Chinoike cut through their exoskeleton and circuity in mere seconds. No matter how many puppets rushed her way, she turned them into junk. It didn't take long for shinobi on the battlefield to recognize the Honey Badger. For those with the perceptive capacity, the distinctive set of blond pigtails and Jashinist black markings made her easy to spot on the heavenly front. If that wasn't enough then the streaks of red and black lighting which occasionally erupted from the her form was enough to tip one off to whom had just entered the fray. Finally, for the truly dense, there was the iconic scent and sight of blood as she simply drowned what she could not disintegrate or lacerate. The heralds of her arrival could no longer be denied. For perhaps the last time, Shimiko Chinoike was making her mark on the world. As she thinned the numbers of enemies that came her way, Shimiko spied the beast for areas of interest. She finally noticed a small modulator in the corner of its left wing. Despite the numerous points of interest on the Indaina Kujira, she noticed that the creature had sent a large number of puppets to guard that area. There was also the curious sparks and clouds that occasionally appeared over it.

Looks important enough. I wanna jolt it.

The moving pigtails kicked into overdrive and Shimiko accelerated towards the wing. She jumped off pieces of boulder, building, and an occasional destroyed puppet or two to reach the underbelly of the beast. Its surface was interlaid with traps but her movements were elegant and graceful. It reminded her of the trenches. How Konoha had painstakingly laid down Fuuinjutsu, Kugutsu and Ninjutsu hazards to make forward progress impossible. It was all nothing to her. She moved with celerity and precision. Not a single footstep out of place. Whether it be in No Man's Land or on the surface of an artificial Bijuu, Shimiko's advance could not be halted. Sensing her intentions, the Bijuu-Puppet-Cyborg Monster sent more customers her way. Shimiko cut through them all without losing sight of her true target. She ran on the underside of the wing and then to the topside before dipping back down again. As she moved she spread tracks of Red Lighting along the beast's wings. The wave of destruction not only weakened its protectors, it blinded it to what was to come. She wasn't sure what to hit the machinery with so she opted for one of the strongest attacks in her arsenal. Using the power of the Many Handed One, Shimiko sprouted a set of additional arms and grabbed her Tessen. She charged them with Raiton and eyed the organ surrounded by clouds.

Clouds? Please. I'm half-Inazuma. she thought bemusedly. Shimiko released her attack and a giant wave of electrical energy was manifested. It was an appropriately sized Kaijuu attack known as Ultimate Arch Reaction. The crescent shaped lighting blast tore through the line of defending puppets and struck the modulator. A cascade of lightning and sparks darkened the clouds covering it. The clouds were sucked into the regulator causing it to overheat. The artifice made several chaotic sounds before exploding with enough force to crack the underside of its wing. Shimiko jumped from the surface of the Indaina Kujira and landed on her felt. A few beads of sweat had formed on her brow. She looked up in awe at the creature and sighed.

"Who the hell could make something so ugly?" It was strong but it was an offensive sight to Jashin. Shimiko would turn her attention back to the beast later. For now, there were people to save. She turned away from the Indaina Kujira and focused her efforts on capturing some of the human terrorists that were responsible for this assault on global peace.
