Twin Blades of Lightning: Dragoon Batteries

The Indaina Kujira is powered by a set of Dragoon Batteries. Invented by Okane, the Society stole these designs and put them to work feeding the Giga-Cube. Together, the two systems create a never ending power supply. These batteries are located in the Indaina Kujira's heart. Because of their high level of importance, they are protected by a set of flying puppets. They are an elite guard that are specifically designed to catch their pray and keep them from the center chest cavity which houses the batteries. If you can hit S-Rank Speed and S-Rank Coordination then there is no hope of defeating these monstrosities. If you manage to beat them, you'll still have to overload the Dragoon Batteries overloading them with an obscene amount of chakra.

Objective: Use S-Rank Speed and Coordination to avoid and ultimately defeat the protectors. If you manage that, you'll need to then infuse 300 CP into the chest cavity of the Indaina Kujira to overload the Dragoon Batteries.

Kagura had been enjoying the relative peace and tranquility of the Heavenly Emporium when someone had decided to ruin it for her.  She wasn't certain about what was going on exactly, not having received word about what was going on, only that it was going down.  From what she could tell someone was attacking, and based on her sense of movement and Sensory, the entire Heavenly Emporium was going to be going down and soon.  So she walked calmly towards the colossal beast that seemed to be at the heart of the matter, cutting down a few odd-looking creatures that had tried to attack her in the process.  Kagura's eyes were narrowed as she approached, aggravated that her one place of peace.  She didn't know what this creature was, but she knew that it was generating an immense amount of power based on what she could sense, and there was a focal point that seemed like it was important, and she might be able to destroy it.

Working her way to it was less of a challenge, but it had a few very strong-looking guardians around where she needed to go, and that lead to a major problem.  She might be able to beat them, but it would cost her a large amount of chakra, and then she might not be able to deal with the battery-type things themselves.  But she couldn't sneak past them... she could tell that much right away.  Tricking them wouldn't happen; they weren't trying to attack her if she kept her distance, so luring them away with a clone or something wasn't going to work.  She needed some help and only could hope that someone else came in her direction who was relatively strong.  Just in case someone didn't show up, however, she was very much trying to think of another plan to get around the guardian things so she could reach the core.  She didn't know what this thing was that was disrupting her peace, but she didn't like the idea of it killing everyone here.  She liked it here.

There was certainly a call to arms for the present threat that loomed over the Heavenly Emporium. A giant artificial bijuu, even bigger than the Ten-Tails housed inside of him. This was a threat that could not be overlooked. And so a great many warriors had been dispatched to try and destroy the monstrosity. Seid had gone by himself, it was easier to fly by himself on top of his Truth-Seeking Ball. Seid had dawned his armor and was equipped with all of his tools. As he hovered in the air, he saw a Kunoichi going out to meet the beast. With his Rinnegan he was able to see the core of the beast, and it seemed the woman had noticed as well.

The Otsutsuki also noticed the vanguard of puppets protecting the area. There was no way past them but to utterly destroy them. Seid was able to pick up the fast and unnatural movement of the puppets. They were not ordinary constructs, they would need to bring a unique set of skills to in order to destroy this core.

He could see a comparable amount of chakra within the kunoichi and knew they could aid each other. Seid flew down, landing a few meters away from Kagura. His Kumo headband wrapped around his arm, he hailed her before speaking. "A quick greeting, I am Darkseid. I came to help. I've sensed we are after the same thing. If we team up together we can take down that core. Just leave the puppets to me, they are extremely dangerous. And the battery can be overloaded." Seid said to Kagura.

Kagura was very fortunate to have someone appear when they did, as she was just getting ready to attempt to overwhelm the puppets with a mass of Shadow Clones to try to get past them.  He was capable of flight too, which was awesome, but not really the focus at the moment.  They had opponents to crush and some power cells to overload.  Her senses told her that he had a large well of chakra as well, which meant that one could handle the fighting while the other kept their abilities in reserve.  His introduction earned a small nod of understanding, and then she let loose her own.  “Kagura.  That sounds like a good plan… I will send a few clones in there to help.  I’m not quite that fast, but I’m close, and they could take some of the pressure off of you.  Feel free to cut through them if they get in the way.”  Seallessly, she performed the Mass Shadow Clone Jutsu, and two hundred shadow clones came into existence in a chain of smoke behind them both.  The moment that Seid charged forward, they would follow at their best speed.

While the original held a few back as distractions for herself as a guard around her, this was barely a flex of her chakra, and she had more than enough in reserve to do whatever she needed to.  The clones were great as distractions at the very least, and each held her own speed, strength and agility, as well as her Sword.  It was right about now that she truly wished she had Akari’s blade, something that could turn the tide in her favor… but for the moment, she focused inwards, using her sensory on the batteries she was going to overload.  The more she sensed and details gathered, the quicker she would be able to overload them and ensure their destruction.  For the moment though, aside her analysis, she watched the battle unfold before her.

COMBAT STUFF:

"No problem Kagura." There was no time to talk about anything else but the mission ahead. She was able to use a technique that amplified the amount of clones she was able to use. It was an amazing technique that could overwhelm armies. Wherever she hailed, they obviously produced very strong ninja. The Kumo nin were something else as well.  Darkseid balled his fists up before exerting a large amount of chakra. Activating the Lightning Release Armor. His hair began to stand up past his horns, the power radiation off of him greatly. He took off without a word. And charged straight into the army of puppets. They moved with a grace and deadly precision. But so did Seid, using the Hell Stab in both arms.

The Truth-Seeking Balls behind him covering his back from other attacks. But he was too fast, he ran through the puppets cutting them apart like they were fodder. There were few things that could stand up to the power of the Hell Stab. Using three fingers he blasted them away with each swing of his hands. His Fire Sword wasn't yet ready to use but his hands were just as deadly. He hoped this was a good enough distraction for Kagura to disable the battery. His chakra reserves would be good enough to last and help if needed.

Kagura wasn't impressed by a whole lot anymore. She had been through the war, seen some of the most amazing and horrible things that humanity had to offer, and was experienced enough to know there was more out there, but wasn't really impressed with a ton. But to see Lightning Release Armor, as that was exactly what she was witnessing she was certain of it, in the flesh, was absolutely breathtaking. She had heard about it in her time, but only scant rumors of how potent and powerful it really was... how absolutely terrifying it was in the hands of someone who could use it properly... and she could easily see why right here and now. Wreathed in lightning, Darkseid blitzed into the fray in a flash, tearing through enemies with gusto. Her clones were quick to follow, but nowhere near the speed he was able to generate. A few clones dispersed as they sacrificed themselves to serve as distractions until the man could come and deal with them, but it was something that almost stunned Kagura into inactivity. And sadly, as much as she knew she would want that technique, knew that it was something that more than likely was beyond her reach.

Sad, but true.

She then charged forward herself, flashing into position with her guardian crew of shadow clones, her brunette hair billowing behind her as she slid into position with the batteries. Rubbing her hands together for a moment, she paused, focusing for a few seconds as she turned the technique she specialized in for chakra absorption and reversed it within the flow of her body, and then pressed both hands onto the batteries, one on each. She then forcibly pushed her chakra into them, feeling the immense amount of her own reserves rapidly funneling into the batteries which began to increase in brightness. It wasn't long before they were two suns in her hands and she had to look away to avoid being blinded as the battle raged around her, clones fighting and dispersing as Seid kept her from harm from the creatures. But then there was a sickly pair of pops, and then the entire system they were near began to whine at an extremely high pitch, and Kagura felt like she couldn't press any more chakra into the batteries. "Time to leave!!" she exclaimed, quickly starting to work her way the same direction they came from.

Seid kept moving faster and faster. Edging himself to blaze through the puppets. They seemed unending, swelling with numbers that would overwhelm a regular ninja. But he was no regular ninja. He roared as kept blasting away with each fierce punch. They were sturdy as well but they stood no chance against the power of the Kumo Shinobi. He created a pathway of destroyed and smashed body parts, while Kagura and her clones tried to make their way through. Darkseids protection was excellent, as she was able to push past.

Kagura quickly made her through and raced her way to the battery. Seid protected her with a ferocity unseen since his battle of Mejiing. There was earsplitting whine as Kagura projected a huge amount of chakra into the battery. Totaling the entire system with an overabundance of power. He could hear Kagura give the call that it was time to leave before they were overwhelmed. Seid cast a Truth-Seeking Ball to Kagura which was then made into a flying platform for her to step. This was the safest Ball used for transportation of himself and allies. Once she hopped on he would cast on under himself as well and fly themselves away from the puppets back to where they started.

Kagura was very thankful, if slightly confused, as to when the disk appeared that they would be using for their escape. Never had she felt so drained, her seemingly bottomless well of Chakra so completely tapped. Sure, she had some in reserve, just in case, but the best thing for all parties involved was probably a hasty retreat. Especially considering the fact that she was relatively certain that if her instincts were right, overloading those batteries was probably going to result in a pretty massive chakra explosion. Once she was on the disk, she used a little bit of chakra to ensure that she was undoubtably glued to the surface of it, and put her absolute faith in the man who was moving them around. In almost an instant, they were back to where they started, but this time, the puppets were chasing them. She was very thankful that these little disks seemed to be faster, because they needed to get out of range of the resulting explosion. Her mass of clones basically got in the way of the puppets, and while strategically they would be fighting a losing battle, but their objective wasn’t to win, but stall them out.

Once at a safe distance and watching the chakra explosion that resulted, Kagura turned towards the person who made accomplishing the goal possible. “Your help is extremely appreciated… but I need to leave. I won’t be of any use to anyone here with as little chakra I have. That just about wiped me out. But this wouldn’t have been possible without you. If you ever find yourself in the Land of Wolf, that is where I’m currently residing. I will provide you any hospitality I can afford.” Once she was down on the ground and on her own two feet, she would address anything else that her new ally would say, and then make her way back to her little part of the world, and the quest she was driven to pursue. She took one last look at the beast, noting the swarm of powerful Ninja that were there, and prayed that they brought the thing down.

The plan had been a success. With the might and power of two S-rank ninjas they had made short work of the puppets and the batteries connected to the giant kaiju. They had dealt a swift blow against the beast, Seid was able to see that much with his Rinnegan. It shared a chakra system much larger than any human and he could see most of its connecting points. This placed a blow that would destroy the entire matrix. When Seid and Kagura flew back, there was an explosion that rocked the entire area, destroying the spawning point that the puppets were coming out of. With their pursers blown to bits, Seid landed both of them far away to recuperate.

Seid would then reply to a very tired Kagura who congratulated their work. "The help was appreciated. In my travels if I find myself near Land of the Wolf. I will seek you. You can also find me in Kumogakure." With the explosion in the back ground. Seid knew his job wasn't done. He had to destroy the rest of the kaijus defenses. "Till next time." He would get the information to the land of the wolf then make his way to another battlefield.
