Having agreed to send Shin to the Kage Summit to represent Iwagakure, Mitsu wanted to ensure that Shin was as prepared as he could be given the short notice. She knew that sending him with a gift for the Shogun would be paramount to a good first impression and so she carefully boxed up one of the items she had brought with her from the Land of Wind. A tiny potted flower, a pink peony that she had kept in her office in the Tsuchikage Complex. She had taken the time to hand paint scenes from the desert along the pottery, and while it was a simple gesture, she hoped that it had the intended effect. Mitsukira had actually met Kensai once before, while they had both been living in Sunagakure. It had been a simple mission to find some supplies that had been lost in a sandstorm, but she remembered the moment well. And the Shogun’s sense of humour. She hoped that a reminder of the land of his birth and Iwa’s connection to it, would make the man smile at least.
With the gift she also included the map that had been provided to Tetsumura as well as a letter of encouragement for Shin. What was being asked of him was a substantial amount, and she remembered her first diplomatic mission - obtaining an alliance with Iwagakure - and how nerve wracking it had been for her. She also updated the military files and informed the administration that Shin Muramatsu was to be promoted to Chuunin in advance of his journey. After ensuring the items were delivered to Shin, Mitsu would return to her other duties, trusting that her friend had everything well in hand.

- Mitsu’s Personal Note:
- Dearest Shin,
You were chosen for this task because you are honestly the best suited to it. It has been clear to me since you returned that you care desperately for the Land of Earth, and I trust wholeheartedly that you will make the best decisions for Iwagakure and her people. I wish I could go with you, but it seems it is not part of the Grand Design. I will be here when you return and I will pray for you every day.
Be safe and know that you are missed and cared for. May the Universe watch over you.
Mitsukira
