General Description:
Despite the model in the picture being larger than a human hand, these nasty little puppets are in truth no bigger than a human thumb. They're built under magnifying lenses and with special equipment to allow the builder to move around their tiny parts. Armed with a needle crafted from a senbon, they're capable of firing off that needle (which is about half the length of the puppet) at speeds which will follow projectile rules.
In addition, they carry inside a small flask which can be loaded with poison, giving them the ability to fire off poisonous needles. Another option is to directly stab a target with the needle, in the same way a wasp would sting, or pierce through the target using the needle wound as an entry point. These needles are barbed in order to remain on a target after landing, and have an eye through which a steel wire goes. The wire is coiled up inside the puppet and can extend up to 10 meters. Shooting the needle with the wire attached is optional.
The puppets also have small claws which can be coated in poison as well, and they're able to deal damage through scratching.
For aesthetic purposes each puppet is coated in a thin layer of gold, which can be scrapped off relatively easily.
Due to their small size these puppets are actually crafted in sets of 3. However for Kugutsu technique purposes, each wasp counts as a separate puppet while being manipulated.
These wasps have the ability to fly within the range established by the kugutsu technique that's being used to manipulate them (default is 70 meters). However this flight is severely limited because it only lasts while the puppets are attached to chakra strings, and they can be cut off easily since they tend to converge on the puppeteer.
