Just observing.

Sero would walk along the muddy roads of the small village that hosted the pits. Of course he would not be allowed to compete as chakra was not allowed in any form. His method of battle was not designed for such an event. Nor was his genetic make up. Truth be told a Hozuki would dominate here if they could hide their ability. However he was not here to simply see if he would wish to fight. There was a growing rumor that the pits would soon be closed down. Some were for it. Claiming it was breeding killers. That it was barbaric and filthy. They would see it done away with so they could sleep more soundly at night. Others were bitter as either their income or their entertainment was being threatened. This had become their place to gather and watch fights. Sometimes to the death still. However one thing was not being discussed as much from what he had gathered. What would become of all these gladiators? Some would surely join the Kiri shinobi forces but others....others were more lethal than they were sane. Dangerous people without direction were a recipe for disaster. Left to their own devices they would turn to doing what they knew how to do. People would die and only then would it be dealt with. So Sero was walking along the muddy road calmly. His blue eyes shining as people hid in their homes from him and watched. Fear in their eyes as they had rarely felt such a presence. Especially outside the pit itself. Monsters were walking free. His steps would quickly turn the mud to solid ground behind him. Blackened and charred. He was here as a warning. That no one would be left to chance should the pits be closed. He would watch and wait.

Of course even the fighters would avoid his eyes. They did not know him but they could feel it. The majority of them were not capable of destroying this man. Years of fighting in the pits had given them three things. Power, Scars, and a sense when an enemy was not to be trifled with. No words were spoken but Sero would continue his walk passed the big pit and the crowd cheering for the beasts within. Sero saw many were like him in their lust for killing. However he doubted they shared his ideals. For now though those who caught his eye saw him as well. The mere fact that he was walking among them was a simple thing. A reminder that should their craft be used on the innocent he would come for them. Kiri might not see the use of these pits but for Sero it was a means to control the bloodlust of those in the village. Put them in the pit and let them fight to their hearts content. He felt it was foolish to close them but held no authority in the village. Still even the seasoned warriors crossed to the other side of the street. Eyes void of light and love matched his own. Some stood with their arms crossed. Knowing no more fear in their lives after fighting for so long. Most however got the message as the pale man continued to walk away from the pits and out of the small village. If they crossed Kiri they were as good as dead. No words needed to be spoken. No truce written and signed. It was just something known by instinct. One predator to another. Kiri was Sero's territory and he would allow none to spill innocent blood within his domain.
