    Mission Rank: B
Mission Goal: Defeat the Reavers and bring down the Alliance.
Description: A full two years, but not really, after wandering around and stopping the Alliance through petty crime it is now time for the final blow. All the information you have gathered so far has led to this moment; the Alliance are responsible for the chems making the Reavers and it’s time to show the world that you can’t stop the signal. Protect the crew, reveal the plot and stop the Reavers and the Alliance. There is one squad each of C-Class NPC Reavers and Alliance, both with all D-Rank stats. -
    Final battle time, finally.

It’s taken a bit of time, but they were finally done pushing the Alliance back to a single base. Of course that meant the Alliance was going to be pulling out all the stops. They’ve leashed the Reavers and are intending to use them as soldiers as well. The goal was to provide the world with proof of the Alliances' monstrous crimes the Alliance has done to the people that Reavers once were. They had evidence that the Reavers weren’t saveable, and they would just murder and pillage and eat men and women until they were killed. They were rabid dogs that absolutely had to be put down. The Alliance was just the handler who did it to them. They were split into two groups. Tamwyn was taking down the Alliance forces. Yenn was on the Reavers, Malcolm was with Tamwyn and Zoe and Jayne with Yenn. Malcolm, in a stroke of brilliance, was wielding the Lassiter. A cheeky little insult that would demoralize the enemy.

Cracking his knuckles Tamwyn would look at the arrayed forces before grinning savagely. His job was to kill the Alliance forces and a dark, dark part of him enjoyed this part of the job with a savage glee that always made him sick after. But for now, he’d use it as a tool to get this job done. The only people that could try to stop them from spreading the news was the Alliance itself, but history was written by the victor, and they would obliterate them all before letting the Serenity crew spread the word. After this though, Reynolds had said they would be leaving the Land of Lightning. So this would be Tamwyn’s and Yenn’s last job with them. They were apparently always welcome with them though. So that was nice. For now though, it was time to take out some bad guys...Shiny.

Everything that Yenn and Tamwyn had done with the crew of the Serenity had led to this.

One final battle to put an end to the treachery of the Alliance. One last stand with Captain Reynolds and friends. Knowing that the Reavers were beyond saving made her part of the task easier. She guessed that she had been assigned to them on purpose just for that reason. It was easy for her to justify killing if there seemed to be no other option. She wasn’t thrilled at being separated from Tamwyn, but she was confident in her abilities now, and she had Zoe and Jayne to back her up if anything went wrong.

The assembled Reavers were absolutely horrifying to look upon. Pieces of them were missing, and they had other pieces hastily sewn in their place. All of them had open superficial wounds and their teeth were all filed into fangs making them look like feral monsters. At their head was a female Reaver that she had learned was named ‘Miranda’ and based on how the other Reavers deferred to her was their ‘leader’. She would nod to Zoe and Jayne as she began channeling ranton chakra into her Cloud Cloak, creating a glowing violet aura around her and increasing her coordination and speed. There were a lot of enemies and without Tamwyn here she would need every advantage she could get to come out unscathed.

At an unspoken signal the Alliance began to move forward. The squads led by a man who was in charge of the rest of their forces, moved forward in disciplined ranks and Tamwyn and Mal grinned at each other as the pale haired Chunin of Kumogakure raised a hand casually and fired a concentrated bolt of lightning at the man who seemed to be leading the group. ‘Commander’ Harken took the bolt straight to the chest and the blast tore a hole through his chest before arcing over to another Alliance member, then another, and another and so on. Chain Lightning was becoming one of his favorite techniques. That as well as Overload and Kikoho. They were forming a real core of high powered ninjutsu techniques and he would need to design more to compliment them. However today was also a special day for this fight. Without a word, six angelic wings of Raiton would coalesce upon his back as he strode into the large group of Alliance members. Each wing was able to strike with enough force to displace boss sized summons and all of that force was concentrated into each wing that moved as effectively as he himself could.

This was a function of Seraph’s Brilliance he had never used before. The wings were actually deadly weapons and he used them liberally as they swung about him, blocking attacks, returning them, and dropping men and women like flies. Every once in a while a wing would dart out to block a strike coming for Mal that the man hadn’t seen. Tamwyn’s higher perception gave him an edge in that regard. The battle would last quite a while, but eventually the final Alliance soldier would lay dead, the Lassiter sword stuck in his chest courtesy of Malcolm himself. Nodding to each other, Tamwyn would trade grips with the man. “Any issues if I just pick her up and go?..” He would ask quietly which prompted Mal to shake his head. “Nah, tell her I said g’bye and give her my best, but we gotta get moving too. There’s plenty of other trouble out there to get ourselves into and you gotta get home.” Tamwyn would nod, they had spent a while away from Kumogakure at this point, but it was on assignment so there wouldn’t be any trouble for them.

Without another word Tamwyn would lift off of the ground and fly over to the other battle. There he would nod his head in farewell to Zoe and Jayne before picking up Yenn and tell them to give Simon, River, Inara, Book, Wash, and Kaylee their regards before flying them home toward Kumogakure again. He wanted to curl up in their own bed, and plan that date night. He’d packed their things in a scroll prior to the battle so they weren’t leaving anything behind. ‘It’s finally over..” He would say quietly to her as he flew them back. “Malcolm sends his regards along and wishes you his best. Whatever that means.” He said, not asking anything about it. He knew there was nothing between them but it did imply that Malcolm knew or had noticed something that Tamwyn didn’t. That however was Yenn’s business to tell him and he trusted her implicitly. She would do so when she was ready to tell him. The Land of Lightning opened up before them like a vast sea of land and in the distance, Kumogakure could be seen, shining openly in the midday sun. The city, with its inherent corruption and crime that allowed innocent women to be kidnapped and held and used as property. Had allowed Yenn, [i]his[i] Yenn to be hurt so badly in her life that she was scarred forever. Was it worth it? Was protecting it worth it in the end? Or would they be better off withdrawing from the forces and retiring early? He wasn’t sure, but he knew he wanted her by his side always.

It was at that moment that he realized just how deeply he cared for her, and his arms held her against him tightly as he felt the word come to his lips for the first time in his life. Effortlessly, as if they were meant to be said and that everything was perfectly right with the world when he did so. “I love you..” He said simply, the moment he said the words captured in his mind forever as the sunlight gleamed off the Royal Palace of Kumogakure. It wasn’t a perfect place, but perhaps they could make it that way. He stood at a fork in the road in his mind, Yenn at his side. Either direction would work, so long as they were together until it ended in whatever way it would. He smiled softly at the thought as they flew, returning home for rest and to inevitably have new adventures together.

Staring down ‘Miranda’ and her cabal of Reavers, Yenn would move forward quickly and activate her Laser Circus, firing a single concentrated beam of storm release straight through the woman and dropping her on the spot. It wasn’t elegant or inspired, but it was effective. Unlike typical people though the Reavers were undaunted by the loss of their leader, their fanaticism and possible drug addiction lending them either vast amounts of courage or stupidity. Or both. Zoe and Jayne sprung into action as she attacked and began fighting off some of the Reavers as Yenn charged up another attack. Yenn kept an eye out for both her assigned crew members, firing off beams of ranton at any of the Reavers that came too close to biting a chunk out of her newfound friends. In a way Yenn almost felt sorry for the Reavers, they seemed out of their minds in their frenzy and she wondered just how much of them was still human after what the Alliance had done to them. Her empathy didn’t stop her from carrying out the mission though, and she would kill the Reavers quickly. A mercy killing if you will.

Once there were no more crazed Reavers to fight, Yenn would look to the sky and see her Seraph fly towards them, bringing a smile to her face amidst all the gore and destruction. She never tired of seeing his face, each time making her heart sing as though it was the first time she had laid eyes on him. She would nod to Zoe and Jayne and happily embrace Tamwyn knowing that finally they could go home. Yenn was confused by Mal’s parting wishes, Tamwyn had spent more time with him than she had and she wasn’t sure what he meant by ‘wishing her his best’ either. “I have no idea what that means Tamwyn. But Mal is rather a strange sort. I will miss them all though, maybe we can visit them again sometime.”

As they flew towards Kumogakure she was struck by the beauty of the scene below them, just as she had been the first time they had flown together. The way the sun glinted off the windows of the buildings in the city, the gentle moving of the wind through the trees and grasses below them. It was peaceful and private and up in the air she felt as though they were the only two people in the whole world. In spite of the horrors from earlier a broad smile was on her face, and it faltered only for a moment as Tamwyn spoke the words she didn’t know her heart had longed to hear. She hadn’t been expecting them and somehow when he spoke them it felt as though she’d known all along. Her eyes would sting with happy tears as for the first time in her life someone told her that they loved her. Her hands would grip him tighter and her voice broke as she replied, overcome with emotion. “I love you Tamwyn.”
