Mission Name: The Message
Mission Type: Investigation/Guarding
Mission Rank: B
Mission Goal: Learn the true story behind the delivery, dispose of the drugs and protect the crew.
Description: Captain Malcom Reynolds gets a strange delivery to his secret smuggling camp. It’s the body of an old army buddy that turns out to be being used as a drug mule for the Alliance. When drugs and the Alliance are involved violence always ensues, so your job is to protect the crew while getting rid of the drugs.
Payment: 25,000 ryo
Requirements: C-Class, Completed ‘Trash’
-
What do you get when you get mailed a dead body?
Drugs apparently, and Reynolds is not happy. Nor is Zoe it would seem, but that would make sense since the two of them were from the same unit. Along with the dead man. Simon had performed an autopsy only to discover the man’s corpse was being used as a storage container for drugs. That’s what infuriated Mal and Zoe so badly. However to make it all even better. The Alliance tracked the shipment and sent teams to recover the body, drugs included, and kill everyone involved. Now they were preparing for the Alliance attack coming, they were forming up, and the non-combatants were busily building a large pyre. They needed to dispose of the drugs and the body and sending their comrade out ‘in style’ was something both Mal and Zoe wanted to do. A sentiment that Tamwyn could readily get behind. So the combatants were going to buy time for the pyre to be built.
So Tamwyn and Yenn were waiting for the attack to start, letting the Alliance throw their punch before returning with a much bigger one. Once they cleared the field, they would dispose of the body of their comrade in the pyre with respect. The Alliance dogs? They could be had by the vultures as far as they were concerned.
