As Rin had suspected, Rini got the grasp of it pretty quickly. Granted he could understand if she had a little difficulty in performing it, yet she was able to pull it off without support either. Which suggests her level of chakra control is at least on par of his own. As she was getting the grasp of it, Rin kept the Rasengan maintained so that she could get a reference of it. Time passed however small that might be, and Rin's once hazel eyes turned into the blood red of Kurama's albeit they don't glow nor do they hold the same slit of Kurama's eyes. It was a gradual change, but by the time Rini completed her Rasengan the change would've already been completed.
"Well since you've offered, I'll take you up on reinforcing the seal. Before that however, I have to wrap something up." Rin accepted her offer, but Rin gets up from his chair and walks up to the kitchen area. Where he opens one of the cabinets where some of the basic pots and pans would be at. Reaching inside of the cabinet with his left hand, Rin brings out a backpack and sets it on the counter. Opening it, Rin brings out a full roll of sealing cloth, a pot of ink, and an ink brush. Uncorking the ink, rolling out the sealing cloth to it's full length. Rin dips the brush into the pot of ink and begins the long extensive process of inscribing Fuuinjutsu seals in fine print that's equally as complex as it is difficult to say the least.
Rin is no genius when it comes to booksmarts or even to Fuuinjutsu itself. However, Rin takes pride in that he often thinks outside of the box and uses whatever he has available no matter how small or significant it might be. The Fuuinjutsu seals that contain bijuu chakra similar to how one goes about making someone into a Jinchuriki. However the seals extract the bijuu chakra in the host and then refines before condensing into the shape of a limb. In Rin's case, Rin intertwines the seals into selectively forming a hand. Then proceeds to enable the function to activate the bijuu chakra upon his discretion and seal it back up. Once Rin was finished, his pot was empty with black stains in the glass, his brush set to the side, and the sealing cloth is riddled with long strings of Fuuinjutsu seals that makes the ludicrous idea into a strong possibility.
"The procedure I'm about to do involves me briefly tampering into one of the strong forms the bijuu chakra can manifest onto me. I should be able to keep my sanity in check long enough to wrap this thing around the manifested chakra, and then I'll deactivate it." Rin explained to the girl, not that he expects her to understand, but rather to give her a warning of caution. Speaking of, Rin turns his head over his shoulder at Rini, and manifesting into the reality is Rin's Jade chokuto of excellent quality. A platinum recurved bow with intricate leaf patterns as the string is like a strand of silver. An eerie long scythe with a blade dark as the night and held engraved Fuuinjutsu patterns. Indicating that one at least is enchanted. And finally a sacred mask to which Rin will try to secure these items around the room.
"Just to be sure." Then Rin proceeded to grab the cloth with his left hand before shrugging off his long sleeved shirt and vest. Sitting on the floor, Rin enters in his meditative state to engage in a full immersion to his inner world, and to converse with the bijuu that resides within him.
"YOU ARE THE MOST PITIFUL CREATURE I HAVE EVER LAID EYES ON!" A thunderous voice roared throughout the inner world that actually made Rin lean away and covered one ear from the loud yelling. Kurama angrily struck against the vine-like barrier three tails at a time, it was to no avail of course. Just that Kurama was loud and furious.
"Well that's one way to say hello I guess." Rin spoke rather casually as he smiled at the raging gargantuan creature. Kurama snarled as he turned his head away from Rin and began pacing back and forth.
"WE HAD HIM! WE ALMOST KILLED THE PEST AND YET HE SLIPPED AWAY FROM MY CLAWS!" Kurama slammed his fist against the mossy ground of what is believed to be rock and a strong earthquake emitted from the force. Rin nods his head in agreement.
"That he did. It was an unfortunate event, Kurama, but the good news is that we're still alive." At the mention of the bijuu's name, the Kyuubi turned to glare with it's pair of giant eyes at the boy. Even Kyuubi lowers his face to be more on eye level with Rin.
"How can you smile after being so close to death? I know death when I see it, and by all rights you at least should have been dead." Kurama's voice was still loud and it dripped with venom, but it wasn't as harsh as before. Maybe even sentimental? It was hard to tell in a bijuu. Either way, Rin thought about it for a moment before shrugging his shoulders.
"I honestly don't know, friend. It is not my first time I've brushed with death, and it most definitely won't be my last. But it was certainly the closest to death that I've felt to be sure." The Ironblood admitted as he gestured to his scarred body. Kurama frowned as his eyes narrowed at the boy.
"How old are you human?" The question wasn't expected as it was rather off topic. So Rin did stumble over his words at first.
"I-I'm only sixteen now Kurama. Why do you ask?" A sigh of disappointment escaped from Kurama's curled lips as he crossed his hands and lays his head on them.
"You're younger than that other Uchiha when I was sealed into him." Rin knew who Kurama was referring to, and frankly this was a rare chance for Kurama to… well not be angry unless he's sleeping. So Rin sits on the stone floor as the luminescent algae coming from the small pool of water dispels the darkness enough for dim light.
"Prince Satori Uchiha you mean?" Rin was more like telling than asking, but the bijuu nodded it's giant head in acknowledgement.
"That's the one. He was seventeen as I recall when they captured me and made that Prince into a Jinchuriki. He didn't really fight it, and he certainly didn't fight me just to seal me within him. Yet that was because he desperately wanted to impress his father. The boy sacrificed so much and abused the power my chakra gave him. Up until his seal barely contained within him." Kurama explained, and frankly Rin was seeing where Kurama was going with this. Kurama was referencing what Satori did with Kurama's power.
"You're worried that the same thing will happen with me?" This time the bijuu didn't really answer, but the Kyuubi shifted it's red eyes to Rin once more.
"Something like that. Oh, and your theory about the Disciples returning isn't exactly far fetched. The problem is that the ignorant won't act until the Disciples are upon them, and if Hohoni wishes it he will take back the Land of Fire and burn humanity to Ash." Seems like Rin's theory was correct that Kurama was still perceptive of what goes on around Rin, just that they could not communicate directly.
"Yeah, that's the problem however. These people won't do anything until it kicks down their gates, and by then it'll be too late." Kurama's unwavering gaze remained the same as it emits the violent bloodlust behind them, yet Rin has been around it so much that he's grown used to it.
"And you're willing to place faith in them?" Yet Rin didn't really answer as what was left of a smile on his face dropped to a frown. His hazel eyes shifted down to the moss covered stone.
"If I am going to be honest here, I want to place faith in humanity in general. I want to break this cycle of hatred and sorrow. Yet they've proven time and time again that when push comes to shove. They will run away if they do not have the advantage. So in the end, I can't count on anyone to endure it with me."
"Are you honest with me?" Kurama questioned the boy, and Rin smirked before looking back up to the bijuu's eye.
"Of course I am. There's really no point in me lying to you, and frankly I don't want to lie to you either." The Kyuubi grunts in response before shifting into what Rin can only guess is something comfortable to Kurama. As the nine gargantuan tails seem to curl around the bijuu.
"You wish to borrow my chakra from what I understand to replace the hand that you've lost. Even though you've been offered a less fleshy form of a hand, you wish to use my power instead?" Kurama got straight to the point now, and Rin nodded his head in agreement.
"That is correct. I wish to extract a part of your chakra in dense levels, and then use the seals I've already prepared to condense it and remain attached to my arm." A brow raised from the bijuu before what was mistaken as rumbling was actually just Kurama chuckling.
"First you combine the Nature Energy and my chakra by assigning me as your Sage. Ludicrous as it sounded at the time, you still managed to pull it off despite what people told you. Now you're going to attempt to sever a part of my chakra to permanently attach it to your body? Do you really think that will stand a chance against someone like Hohoni?" Kurama couldn't help except ask this question, and Rin didn't answer right away as his mind calculated the last time Rin fought against Hohoni. The major difference between then and next time is that last time Hohoni was weakened and could still hold his own very well. At the man's full strength, Hohoni would be like a walking army by himself.
"Against Hohoni? Not a chance. I might be safe to say if I strategically conserve my Senjutsu enough and play my cards right I might be able to hold him off for a while. But to really give him a run for his money… I'll need to achieve whatever form Nozomi used. Something about a bond between her and Isobu was established."
"I know EXACTLY what that is. For that, the only way you can get to that point is to take control over all of my chakra. Which of course means our round two would start." Kurama held a wolfish grin on his face this time. And frankly while someone would probably be terrified to fight against Kurama. Rin just grinned with the bijuu.
"So it would be. Well, I'd like to give this sage thing a good testrun first, and then I'll come and fight you."
"Hmph! It's a deal then. Oh, and before you go. You are exactly 3 months, 12 days, 2 hours and 15 minutes late on your next move." Kurama gestured off to Rin's right where a rather ornate chess board of stone that is on Kurama's side. The pieces are a mixture of platinum and Jade as each chess piece gave off a faint glow of either platinum or emerald green. It was a chess game Rin often played with Kurama back before they fought Menza and were knocked out. Yet Rin noticed that all of the pieces were knocked over.
"Uh… I think your strength knocked everything off." Rin has never seen such a comical poker face from the bijuu as he froze for a couple of seconds. Then with a blur of speed of his tails Kurama picked up and arranged the pieces to form a new game.
"N-new game then. I didn't remember where everything was." Yet somehow Rin doubts that Kurama actually forgot about it. Still, the Ironblood raised his hand as the wind soft like an invisible blanket lifts one of Rin's knights to H3. Then Rin returns back to the real world.
Rin comes out of his meditation as he takes a deep breath. Through his left hand, Rin sends chakra through the sealing cloth to initiate the extraction sequence. Thin red smoke emits from Rin's body as his nails grew longer and canines began to form. Even the thin lines of whiskers appears on his face, yet Rin continues to endure it even as Kurama's influence is clearly present here. That was actually the easy part, and now comes the hard part.
Dark red mass of volatile chakra seems to eat away Rin's skin along his right forearm. It continues to expand downward as Rin bared his teeth as the corrosive chakra made it feel like his arm was burning. Yet the second part of the sequence was beginning as the bijuu chakra extends past the stump of his right hand into the form of an ever shifting tendril. The sealing cloth lifts off the ground as it swiftly wraps around the tendril up to his elbow in a blink of an eye. In which case the Fuuinjutsu seals shined brightly in pale blue as it seems to wrap tightly around the tendril. Visibly witnessing the chakra struggling as wisps of red smoke emits from the tendril. Even so the cloth continues to condense the chakra until it eventually seals up into the form of a humanoid hand that comes with all five fingers.
Once it was done, the cloth emits a rapid pattern of seals of a mixture pale blue and gold. Occasionally a green glow would appear, sometimes a red one would appear before the chakra is visibly redirected at incredibly high speeds to the other line of seals. Eventually, the seals stopped blinking in lights as it shined brightly in raw chakra. As the light gradually faded, Rin lets out a sigh of relief.
"That took longer than I expected."
