Diana had spent several days out in the mountains as she had tried to find Iwa, and she was quite grateful as she had found a small village who was able to provide her with several days worth of food, as well as point her to the nearest clay deposit. They were kind people, and while she couldn't stay for long, the fact they were able to point her in the right direction was nice.
Before she had left, however, she had given them a gift. While it wasn't something she had done in a long, long time, thanks to her Knowledge in chemestry she had devised a way for the Korikane Crystal to be permanent, and during the night she had focused on the surrounding air, and slowly crystalized the vapors in it into a clear crystalline form, almost like reinforced glass. While the first time that night it had taken her a few tries as she hadn't used her Shōton lineage in a while, over the course of the night she'd go ahead and replace each of the windows with her clear reinforced crystal. while it was labor intensive work, for those who had shown kindness to a simple traveler in their eyes, she figured giving them a resource such as this was only fair payment seeing as clay wasn't exactly a good trading item before refinement.
After about half a days travel she had felt that she was far enough to practice some of her nature transformation jutsu as she didn't like to reveal it to others unless necessary. First up was her personal favorite technique, a simple Marble Shot. While it was annoying that she had to form a hand seal, compared to the announcement she made whenever she used a Bakuton jutsu she'd manage. Still, with a small glowing orb formed on the tip of her finger, turning into a crystal marble. She then aim at a nearby stump and fired. While it was nothing impressive, it did manage to leave a small dent in the stump. She'd fire off a few more rounds, each time the crystal impacted it would shatter into several pieces before dissipating back into the atmosphere. The stump now third beaten, fire 1 final shot and she could hear a small *crack* coming from the stump, declaring its defeat.
Moving on she'd find a nice-looking lake and sat at it's edge. Who was quite a lovely lake and had a lot of water for her to practice her techniques on. Placing a hand above the water, a fear of a light would form underneath it says as of the water vapor was fully crystallized into a giant blue crystal shuriken. She often wondered why it took the shape of a snowflake. Sure crystals and snowflakes were similar in structure, but they fell under two different bloodlines, with two completely different elements. Still she'd make a tossing motion with the snowflake-shaped crystal and watched as it flew across the lake. It didn't get very far, as while she didn't need to use her full strength in order to toss it, the fact that she had to rely on chakra didn't bother her. Still, she figured that there could be a better way to get it to go farther.
Continuing to practice lakeside she'd take a quick look around, and was glad that no one had followed her. While she doubted that anyone would've tried to fight her around here, she didn't want a lot of attention drawn to her location, and since she wanted to practice in secret while simultaneously not revealing her to elemental bloodlines. For a while she had been trying to think of a way to combine the two diametrically opposed elements of explosion and crystal, and this technique was going to be the first of hopefully many combinations. Creating a crystal tuning fork, she'd aim the twin end of the fork out towards the lake. She'd then create a tiny bakuton explosions in her hand and along the crystal, causing it to vibrate rapidly. After a little while, the end of the fork would vibrate fast enough that it create a burst of sonic energy before shattering the crystal. It wasn't perfect, and it would definitely need a lot more time to be perfected, but if she were to reinforce the strength of the crystal created as well as reduce the amount of explosions throughout the tuning fork, is there a Shoe fit that get a consistent Sonic attack to focus on distant enemies.
Satisfied that her experiment more or less proves she wasn't being watched, she'd decide to get to very simple techniques out of the way. First was Fusee. It wasn't that hard to pull off, all she needed to do what was create an orb of chakra in her hand. Then, a little bit of a application she could permanently keep it there for a good hour or so. Shield Crete ball after ball tossing in into the Lake as it slowly lit up the side. It was almost like looking at a crystal itself with light shining through it the many rainbows forming out of it.
As for the other technique, the flare gun, that one was going to be a bit harder, but it was why she also chose the lake. Creating another orb of chakra, she take a similar stance as to when she was firing off marbles from her finger, and would aim it into the lake. She then fire off the ball and watch as it slowly sank deeper and deeper, the light becoming hard to see. After a good minute, small bursts of light would form at the bottom, and another minute passing would reveal waves forming at the top of the lake. They weren't large waves, almost negligible, but there were waves all the same. Should create a few more flare guns and fire them into the water in order to not reveal her location. By the time she was finished, the food see orbs originally created were put out, and the flair guns we're starting to put a strain on her chakra supply, requiring her to take a small break.
