Akihiro found himself inside the surgery room, all fitted up and prepared for surgery while the assistants ran around preparing the table. He still held the scroll with the dead body of Shinsui in his hands. He needed to get everything ready before anyone else arrived, so he had gotten there earliers. The assistant surgeons, not having expected such an early arrival, had slacked off and postponed the preparations of the surgery area. This was why they were still running around in a state of confusion and panic while Akihiro was ready for the first phase. "Damned interns..." was all he could think about while he opened up the scroll on top of one of the two surgery tables present in the room and activated the seal within, unsealing the dead body.
Senju cells had special properties. Their bodies were naturally strong and very resistant, and their cells seemed to take over and thrive in the strangest of environments. The problem was whether the environment could take the presence of this type of organism. This was the only thing worrying Akihiro as he transferred the blood from the dead body into a blood bag through a complex system of tubes that the interns had so kindly provided. Usually it wouldn't be possible to make a blood transfusion from a corpse which had been dead for more than a few days. But Akihiro had immediately sealed the body with a special kind of Fuuinjutsu which he personally developed in order to preserve its condition so really, Shinsui's body looked very much like a fresh kill. And it would remain so because just after Aki got enough blood for the transfusion he would perform, he sealed the body in the scroll again and placed it within one of the pockets of his cloak.
He would glance at the clock. 15 minutes for the scheduled surgery time. He activated his sensory and his Sharingan, as both of these tools allowed him to perform better at his role as a surgeon. There were no strong chakra signatures within his radius....but he'd know as soon as they approached.
He would wait for the other surgeons and for Ikomiki to arrive and then he would personally start the procedure. Ikomiki was an official Mockingbird member now and while he trusted Kureji he'd rather perform the main part of the surgery himself- especially because he didn't know the assistant surgeon provided by Kirigakure no Sato. Of course, a blood transfusion wasn't really a surgery...but that wasn't the only thing they would be taking care of today. They would also be fixing Ikomiki's ribs which had been broken and could probably use some mending. And that would be the real surgery. A minor one of course, and while it didn't carry as much danger as the blood transfusion, Akihiro felt more comfortable doing it himself.
As soon as everyone was here, the surgery would begin.
